Chapter 857 Come On, Let Me Give You a Shock

Wendy rested her chin on her hand and looked at Yuna curiously. "Did you notice the changes in Boss Hayes now that you always hang out with him during the day and sleep with him at night?"

There was nothing wrong with Wendy's wording.

But why did it sound so ambiguous?

Yuna gritted her teeth and said, "Wendy, I don't know how to describe your proficiency level in Mandarin."

Wendy felt that Mandarin should not be involved, so she looked blankly and asked, "Why does it have something to do with my proficiency level in Mandarin?"

Yuna didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and she just answered, "I didn't notice that Wesley has changed. He is still as domineering and annoying as usual."

Oh, Wesley had another label on him recently.

But this label... Ahem, it seemed that there was no need to let Wendy know.

"..." Wendy stared at Yuna for a moment and then put on a serious expression. "Yuna, I decided to give you a shock by my proficiency in Mandarin."

Yuna looked at Wendy strangely. "...Go ahead."

"You just said yes and meant no," Wendy said confidently. "Well, I'm done."

Yuna was stunned, and then she smiled and said, "How could you tell that I just said yes and meant no?"

Wendy said directly, "You obviously don't hate Boss Hayes, but you spoke ill of him, so you were saying yes and meaning no, weren't you?"

"..."

Yuna became speechless at once.

It turned out that even Wendy could see through her mind?

Wendy patted Yuna's shoulder and said to show her understanding, "At one time, I also liked to deny my feelings for Gavin. I liked him very much in my heart, but I insisted on saying that I hated him. So, you don't need to explain. I understand."

Yuna looked back at Gavin and found that his expression was complicated. She was amused, nodded, and motioned for Wendy to continue.

Wendy completely forgot that Gavin was next to her. She earnestly advised, "Yuna, I have gone through it all, and I'm here to tell you that you must face your feelings as soon as possible! Anyway, you will be together sooner or later. Why don't you start your happy life earlier?"

After a pause, Wendy went on to say, "Life is limited. You should not waste time but stay with the people you like as soon as possible!"

Yuna agreed in her heart, but she didn't say anything.

If she could make a simple choice, as Wendy had said, how could she choose a complicated path?

Wendy wanted to say something else when she saw that Yuna didn't respond. But before she could say anything, she had heard Gavin ask, "What would you like to eat for lunch? I'll ask someone to bring it over."

For the first time, Emily came to join them. "I want to eat squirrel fish!"

Wendy instantly forgot what she was going to say to Yuna and discussed with Emily about their lunch. The dishes they ordered occupied half of the table.

As soon as they finished eating, Wesley's men came in to remind Yuna, "Miss Xu, it's time to go back."

Yuna knew that she could not stay in the hospital for long.

Otherwise, once Rowdy knew her whereabouts, he would definitely take her away at all costs. It would start a bloody storm at the hospital.

But she couldn't go back now.

The reason why Dr. Roberts lied to her that the fetus had no vitality was probably because of Rowdy's instructions.

She had once told Rowdy that she would decide the fate of this child.

On the surface, Rowdy agreed, but in fact, he didn't want the child to come to this world, so he worked with Dr. Roberts to get rid of the child in her belly.

Of course, this was only her guess.

But even if she couldn't figure out the truth, she couldn't go back. She couldn't take risks.

Yuna waved at Emily and said, "Let's go back first. We'll see Sister Wendy in a few days."

Emily nodded and said goodbye to Wendy politely. "Sister Wendy, I'm going back."

"Oh!" Wendy jumped over and said, "I'll go back with you."

Before Emily could be happy, he had heard Gavin seriously say, "Wendy, stop it!"

Wendy turned around and said, "I really want to go back with Yuna. I want to go to the top of the mountain for fun!"

Gavin put down the tablet and stared at Wendy. "We just came back from there."

Wendy thought about it and made a rather plausible excuse. "I want to try taking Boss Hayes's private helicopter!"

Gavin responded quickly and replied immediately, "I can call and buy a helicopter now. You can take it at will in the future."

It was not that he didn't want Wendy to leave, but he just did not want her to leave with Yuna.

If Rowdy came out halfway, Wendy would be in danger.

Wendy didn't see through Gavin's worries, but Yuna did.

Yuna remembered Joanne's words before coming and touched Emily's head. "Wait for me outside."

"Oh, okay." Emily obediently followed one of the subordinates out.

Then Yuna looked at Gavin and said, "Don't worry. Even if Rowdy knows that I'm in the hospital, he can't intercept me in the air. Besides, it takes less than twenty minutes to fly from the hospital to the top of the mountain. Rowdy has no time to prepare. You can rest assured to let Wendy leave with me."

Wendy didn't care if Yuna was right or not. She nodded hard while acting coquettishly to Gavin and said with a crying voice, "Let me go. Please!"

Gavin was most afraid of Wendy's tears, followed by her acting coquettishly. Now, she was using these two means.

In the end, he compromised. "Come back before nine o'clock!"

Wendy cheered in her heart and couldn't help saying rebelliously. "What if I don't come back?"

Gavin replied calmly, "I'll pick you up."

Wendy was defeated instantly. Henry had specially told her that the most important thing right now was to let Gavin rest for the next treatment.

How could she let Gavin risk picking her up from the top of the mountain in the snow?

"Okay." Wendy compromised and said, "I'll be back before nine o'clock."

"Good girl." Gavin rubbed Wendy's hair with satisfaction. "Go ahead."

While Gavin was not paying attention, Wendy quickly kissed him on the cheek and ran out.

Yuna was sitting on the sofa in the living room. Wendy happily took her hand and said, "Let's go!"

Leaving the hospital was the initial step of her plan.

After getting on the helicopter, Emily fell asleep.

Wendy didn't show much interest in the helicopter. She sat down and thought about something. Yuna didn't disturb her until the helicopter landed on the helistop. "Wendy, we're here."

"So fast!" Wendy looked out of the window and found that they were really on the top of the mountain. She was so excited that she wanted to rush down immediately, but she suddenly remembered Emily and said, "Ask someone to take Emily back."

Yuna asked the staff of the club to send Emily back to the villa while she took Wendy to Joanne's house.

Joanne was alone in the living room with Aiden now.

Wendy hopped in. "Hey, Cousin, where is Romy?"

Joanne was not surprised at Wendy's appearance here at all. She stroked Aiden's face and said, "Romy fell asleep. Martha just took her upstairs, and Aiden should also be sleepy."

Aiden yawned in cooperation, turned around, buried half of his face in his mother's arms, and closed his eyes.

Wendy looked at the little boy's thick and long eyelashes and sighed in disappointment. "Well, I planned to hug Aiden."

She looked at Yuna, rubbed her hands, and asked, "Yuna, when will your and Boss Hayes's baby be born? Plus my cousin's baby, there will be four babies in the future. Then I won't be worried that I have no babies in my arms!"

Joanne blurted out, "If you and Gavin have a baby, you won't have to worry about it."

"..." Wendy suddenly became serious. "Cousin, I am here today to tell you about this."

After the call from Freya, Joanne roughly knew the purpose of Wendy's visit today, but she didn't expect Wendy to talk about the topic of having a child.

Shouldn't she blush?

Joanne looked at Wendy blankly. "Are you pregnant?"

Wendy shook her head innocently and said, "No."

Joanne breathed a sigh of relief. "Then why did you say that you're here today to tell me about having a child?"

"Oh, actually, I'm here to tell you that I want to marry Gavin." Wendy thought for a moment and continued, "After the marriage, we can have a child, right? So marriage and childbirth is one thing!"

"..." Joanne tried to forgive Wendy's irrationality and came to the point. "Do you really want to marry Gavin now?"

Wendy nodded. "I've thought it over. There's never been a better time than now!"

Joanne didn't quite understand.

Gavin was going to experience the last treatment soon, followed by the operation. During this period, Gavin's physical condition would be poor, so he could not give Wendy an unforgettable wedding.

Why did Wendy choose to marry Gavin now and say that there had never been a better time than now?

Wendy saw through Joanne's doubts and said, "Cousin, the operation is very important to Gavin, and it is also enormously risky. I want to become his wife before the advent of the most important moment in his life and to accompany him through the difficult time as his wife."

Joanne finally understood what Wendy was thinking and smiled. "What do you want to do? We can help you."

If Joanne agreed, it meant that no one else, including her father and mother, would object.

Wendy obviously wanted to cheer, but with red eyes, she told Joanne about her plan intermittently.

After listening, Joanne couldn't help shaking her head. "Wendy, are you going to take the initiative to the end?"

"Well, it doesn't matter." Wendy wiped the corners of her eyes. "Anyway, my purpose is to become Gavin's legal wife!"

Joanne thought about it and asked, "Is the time of Gavin's operation determined?"

"Not yet," Wendy said. "However, Henry will soon start the next treatment. The time of the operation depends on the result of the treatment."

"If the operation time is determined, remember to tell me." Joanne said, "Freya and I will prepare for your wedding."

Wendy rushed over to hug Joanne. "Thank you, Cousin."

She finally couldn't help shedding a few drops of tears.
