Chapter 860 It Was Easier to Hate You Than to Love You

Yuna's soul was almost out of her body.

She floated to the room and did not know how she got on the bed. She just subconsciously pulled up the quilt to cover her chest.

Even so, it could not stop her heart from beating wildly.

When Wesley mentioned their marriage, she said that she needed a week to think about it, just to delay her answer.

In order to avoid this question, she even deliberately made things difficult for Wesley and asked him why he wanted to marry her.

Wesley replied that it was because he loved her and wanted their child to come to this world as a legitimate child and grow up under the sunshine.

The moment she heard Wesley say that he loved her, she was ecstatic. For the first time, she felt that happiness was tangible, close at hand, and within reach.

But when she was still in high spirits, the cruel reality was like a bucket of ice water, pouring down from the top of her head and forcing her to be sober-minded.

She had remembered Dr. Roberts's words that the child didn't have vitality. Her child was not lucky enough to come to this world.

Moreover, she would die at any time.

If Wesley knew that she and their child would leave him, he would definitely break down.

The happiness she had just encountered instantly turned into powder.

It was not that she didn't want to stay, but she didn't dare to stay. She was afraid to see Wesley break down.

So, she planned to take Emily back to the Kent family once she had a chance.

After she went back this time, Rowdy would definitely trust her completely. Then, she could start finding the evidence of Rowdy's crimes.

Of course, she would probably be discovered by Rowdy, but it didn't matter. At worst, she would die with Rowdy.

As for Wesley...

She could just let him think that she was still unwilling to believe him, stay with him, and give birth to his child. Finally, she faced the consequences and died at the hands of Rowdy.

In this way, Wesley would only have hatred for her.

It was easier to hate her than to love her.

However, today's examination changed her idea.

The child, who had been recognized by Dr. Roberts to have no vitality, was now growing up healthily in her belly. The child would slowly grow up and then come to this world.

She would probably not carry out her original plan to return to Rowdy.

She had thought that the child didnt have vitality, so she had no scruples.

But now, she couldn't risk her child's life.

Just as Joanne had said, she could leave everything to Wesley. How nice it would be for her to stay and live a carefree life like Wendy!

Before long, Wesley finished the shower and came out. He lay on the bed, hugged Yuna from behind, and put his chin on her shoulder.

All of a sudden, Yuna was not satisfied. She pretended to fall asleep, turned over, and leaned into Wesley's arms.

Wesley didn't look at her carefully and thought that Yuna was really asleep. Considering that such a posture, which was full of reliance, was her subconscious reaction, he couldn't help smiling slightly. Then, he held Yuna in his arms and closed his eyes.

The two of them had a good night.

The next day, after breakfast, one of his men ran in and told Wesley, "Brother Wesley, everything is ready. We can go back."

Emily was eating a big meat bun, and he looked up with his black eyes full of surprise. "Mr. Mu, where are you going?"

Wesley said, "Going home."

Emily compressed his lips, and his voice sounded a little unhappy. "When will you come back?"

Wesley glanced at the little boy and simply replied, "By tomorrow morning."

Emily opened his mouth and obviously wanted to say something, but he didn't speak in the end. He lowered his head and took a bite of the meat bun in silence.

Wesley took the scarf from Aunt Helen and looked at Yuna. "Send me away."

"Oh."

Yuna quickly stood up and followed Wesley out.

Although it was weird to send Wesley away, she... didn't seem to hate to do that.

Emily tilted his head and thought for a while. Then he jumped off the chair and also followed Wesley out.

Compared with a few days ago, it was much warmer today. Golden sunlight shone on the entire top of the mountain, driving away the coldness in the wind and bringing a touch of warmth.

Yuna couldn't help taking a deep breath and feeling the long-lost warmth.

Wesley looked back at Yuna and accidentally found that she was enjoying herself. He asked, "How about walking there?"

Yuna said, "It's pretty sunny today. Let's walk there!"

Wesley held Yuna's hand. Yuna was not used to it, but she didn't struggle.

Just as he was about to step forward, he suddenly saw Emily following behind and called the little boy. "Come here."

"Hmph!" Emily turned his head and ran over to Yuna's hand. He stuck out his tongue at Wesley and said, "I won't hold your hand!"

Wesley squinted and ordered, "Come over here."

"No!" Emily made a face at Wesley. "Lalala..."

Wesley pretended to teach the little boy a lesson, but Emily reacted quickly. He nimbly moved to Yuna to avoid Wesley and poked out half his head to provoke him. "You can't catch me! You can't catch me!"

In the end, Yuna couldn't stand them anymore, and she dragged Wesley and Emily to the helistop.

Of course, she was actually holding the hand of a childish man on her left side and the hand of a childish boy on her right side.

The pilot and the crew had been already in place, and Wesley's men had also gotten on the helicopter. Everyone was waiting for Wesley.

Yuna let go of Wesley's hand and said, "Get on board."

Wesley reminded Yuna, "In case anything happens, go to find Brian next door."

"You'll come back by tomorrow. Nothing will happen to me." Yuna couldn't help complaining. "Even if something bad happens, I can solve it by myself!"

Wesley stared at Yuna. "Say it again?"

Yuna felt a sense of danger. With the idea that a wise woman knew when to retreat, she immediately nodded and said, "I got it. If anything happens, I will go to Joanne's house!"

Then, Wesley's dangerous look disappeared, and he looked at Emily.

Emily still looked very unhappy. He turned his back to Wesley, not letting Wesley look at his face.

Wesley walked up to Emily and said face to face with him, "I remember what I promised you."

With complex emotions, Emily played with his fingers and slowly raised his head to look at Wesley. "I thought you forgot..."

Wesley had promised the little boy yesterday that he would play games with him today.

"I'll try my best to come back before dark." Wesley said, "Thus, I can play games with you tonight."

Emily's eyes finally lit up. He nodded and hooked Wesley's pinky finger with his. "That's a deal!"

Wesley cooperated with Emily to press his thumb against Emily's. "Okay."

Emily finally became happy again. He waved at Wesley and said, "Then you can go now. See you tonight!"

Wesley looked at Yuna and made an eye gesture to her-the little boy was looking forward to his return, shouldn't she say something?

Under Wesley's gaze, Yuna felt a little guilty and coughed. "I'm waiting for you to come back."

At this time, his subordinate poked his head out of the cabin. "Brother Wesley, it's about time."

Wesley nodded, looked away from Yuna, and boarded the helicopter.

Yuna didn't look away from Wesley's back until a car stopped beside her.

She came to her senses. The driver got out of the car and opened the door of the back seat, saying, "Miss Xu, get in the car. Mr. Mu's helicopter is about to take off."

Yuna replied with a "yes" and finally glanced at Wesley before going back to the villa with Emily.

The villa was actually not big, but after Wesley left, Yuna always felt that something was missing, so that the villa was empty.

After pondering for a while, Yuna suddenly realized that her heart seemed to be empty.

Yuna was shocked by her idea and quickly handed the gamepad to Emily. "How about playing games?"

Emily shook his head and pouted. "Auntie Yuna, how could you do this?"

Yuna was confused. "What did I do?"

"Mr. Mu said that you couldn't play games anymore." Emily asked angrily, "What if it affects the baby?"

"Just for an hour," said Yuna. "Anyway, Mr. Mu is not here. As long as we don't tell him about it, no one else will know."

Emily placed the gamepad under his body and did not let Yuna touch it. Then he looked at Yuna seriously. "You're not allowed to play games. I won't play with you! I know Mr. Mu's phone number. If you continue like this, I'll call him!"

Yuna was confused. "Emily, don't you hate Wesley? Why do you listen to him now?"

Emily compressed his lips and denied it. "I don't listen to Mr. Mu. I just want to protect the baby!"

"Since you like babies so much, I'll take you to the see Romy next door."

Emily jumped up immediately. "Great!"

When Yuna took Emily to Joanne's house, Wendy was just woken up by Gavin from her sleep.

"You lazy ass." Gavin pinched Wendy's nose and said, "The restaurant just sent pastries here. Get up to have breakfast."

Wendy buried her face in the pillow and asked lazily, "What did they send here?"

"All of them are your favorite." Gavin said, "If you don't get up now, I'll eat them all."

"Oh!" Wendy bounced up from the bed like a spring and quickly ran to the bathroom to wash up.

In less than fifteen minutes, Wendy came out of the bathroom and ran to the dining room.

Gavin didn't lie to her. Half of the table was filled with her favorite food!

Gavin had woken her up, and there was a sumptuous breakfast waiting for her. This morning was perfect!

Wendy had just taken a bite of the shrimp dumpling when she received a call from Freya.

She picked up her phone and went to the balcony to answer the call.

"Wendy, have you gotten up?" She heard Freya's voice. "Do you have time to try the wedding dress today?"

"Okay." Wendy lowered her voice. "When?"

"Let's meet at the flagship store on Huainan Road." Freya said, "I'll be there in about an hour and a half. What about you?"

Wendy calculated the time and said, "I'm having breakfast. I should be there by that time too. That's settled then. See you later!"

Gavin sat in the dining room, looking through the glass window at Wendy, who was standing on the balcony.

It was indeed right for him to decide to pay attention to Wendy.

The little girl must be hiding something from him!
