Chapter 872 Wesley Treats You So Well

After Aunt Helen went upstairs, only Wesley, Yuna, and Emily were left in the living room.

Emily looked up at Wesley. "Mr. Mu, didn't you come home last night?"

"So?" Wesley slightly lowered his eyes and looked at the little boy with leisure. "Did you miss me?"

Emily shook his head and honestly said, "No."

"Tut-tut, who said that this kid was pleasing?"

Wesley suppressed the urge to lift Emily up and asked casually, "Why do you wonder why I didn't come home yesterday?"

"I have a classmate in the kindergarten, Anna. Her mommy once said that staying out all night... Or, men who don't go home at night are not good men." Emily tilted his head and asked, "Mr. Mu, you aren't a good man, are you?"

"..."

Wesley didn't want to lift Emily up anymore.

He wanted to teach this kid a lesson directly and let him know what a real "bad guy" was.

Emily could vaguely feel the danger. He was so scared that his shoulders shrank back, and he quickly rushed over to hug Yuna. "I'm going to see Sister Wendy!"

Yuna touched Emily's head and coaxed him. "I'll send you there after breakfast."

"Well, I'll have breakfast now!"

The little boy strode quickly to the restaurant as if there were dreadful monsters behind him.

During breakfast, Emily lowered his head all the time. He didn't even dare to take a look at Wesley for fear that he would get hurt by his scary glare.

As soon as he was full, Emily pulled the driver away.

Yuna followed the little boy to the parking lot and watched him get into the car flexibly.

After sitting down, Emily rolled down the window and called Yuna, "Auntie Yuna!"

Yuna looked at the little boy and asked, "What's the matter?"

"Could you please tell the baby that I'm going to Sister Wendy's house, and I'll come back to play with her tomorrow?" The little boy's clear eyes sparkled with sincere expectations.

Yuna was very surprised. At this time, Emily was still thinking about Romy.

She nodded and said, "Okay, I'll tell the baby about that."

"Hehe!" Emily smiled happily and innocently. He waved at Yuna and said while rolling down the window, "Goodbye, Auntie Yuna."

"Goodbye."

Yuna stood rooted and watched the car drive out of her sight. Then she walked to Joanne's villa.

When she passed by Freya's house, Freya just came out.

Freya also saw Yuna immediately. She walked out quickly and asked, "Did Emily go to see Wendy?"

"He just left." Yuna said, "I'm going to see Joanne. What about you?"

"Me too." Freya naturally held Yuna's hand and said, "Let's go together."

Since her parents died, Yuna had been unwilling to make friends.

She knew better than anyone else how her parents' best friends set up a trap and caused her parents' accidental death.

It was said that girls in their teens were in dire need of friendship, but at that time, Yuna had stubbornly believed that no matter how solid friendships she had with others, it could not resist the sharp sword of personal interests.

So she simply closed herself up and became a strange loner. She did not have deep interactions with anyone, nor did she participate in any group gathering.

Most of the people she met later were indeed not worth making good friends with. Over time, she had lost her desire for the so-called friendship.

However, she once went to the United States to visit Emily and met an interesting girl, who was also born and grew up in Glasgow like her. But they didn't give any contact information to each other.

The second one was Freya.

Freya was naturally attractive. She was forthright, sincere, and charming. It seemed that as long as she wanted, she could make good friends with anyone, including Joanne.

However, Freya's character was greatly different from Joanne's.

Yuna asked curiously, "Freya, how did you and Joanne get to know each other?"

"We attended the same high school. I took a fancy to her elder brother, so I hooked up with her first." Freya smiled casually and added, "It turns out that my strategy was completely correct. You see, my dream lover fell in love with me and married me!"

They arrived at Joanne's house as they chatted, but they did not see Joanne and Brian. Only Martha was busy in the living room.

"Good morning, Martha." Freya asked, "Where's Joanne? Is she taking care of Aiden and Romy upstairs?"

"No." Martha smiled and said, "Mrs. Lambert is still sleeping."

Freya was about to ask something when she saw Brian coming down from upstairs.

Brian was really a beloved one. He had a good figure, with a perfect body proportion and long legs. His every step was exuding his charm as a mature man.

He was more captivating than male models on the catwalk or even popular male stars!

Freya tugged at Yuna's sleeve and whispered, "When you see Mr. Brian, do you feel lucky that your husband is also very handsome?"

Yuna knew that Freya was referring to Wesley.

However, she was somewhat unaccustomed to the word "husband".

Yuna could only ask blankly, "Why should I have this feeling?"

"If it weren't for the fact that my husband is handsome enough, I would have been fascinated by Mr. Brian." Freya sighed regretfully. "There will never be a second man as perfect as him in this world, right?"

Yuna coughed and said, "Freya, you are saying that your Chris is not perfect. Brother Chris will be unhappy when he hears you."

Freya said, "Believe me, in the eyes of women, the most perfect man will always be someone else's husband!"

Yuna thought for a moment and said, "We should ask Joanne this question later."

As soon as she finished speaking, Brian came downstairs and said, "Joanne is still asleep."

"Why?" Yuna was confused and made an analysis. "You and Wesley both came back this morning, didn't you? You are awake, but Joanne, who has slept for a whole night, is still sleeping?"

"..." Brian did not explain.

Freya had already understood. She forced a smile and said to Brian, "Then we'll go back first and come to find Joanne later." After that, she directly dragged Yuna away, regardless of whether Yuna was willing or not.

Yuna didn't feel anything wrong until she was outside the door. She asked in confusion, "Freya, what's wrong?"

Freya shook her head. "Yuna, now I know Boss Hayes treats you so well."

Yuna touched herself and became more confused. "How do you know?"

Freya smiled and did not reply. She thought about it and then said to herself, "Maybe it's just because you're pregnant..."

Yuna was still confused, and she still couldn't understand the implied meaning of Freya's words.

"Well, you go back. Let's come to find Joanne in two or three hours. I'll go back to get more sleep."

Freya stretched herself and walked back to her villa, with her hand on her slightly bulged belly.

Yuna glanced around and found that she would look like a fool if she continued to stay outside alone, so she went back too.

An hour later, she asked Wesley for Wendy's phone number and made a phone call.

The phone was soon answered. Wendy's sweet voice came, "Hello?"

"Wendy, this is me." Yuna asked, "Has Emily arrived at the hospital?"

Wendy smiled and said, "Listen-"

In the private hospital.

Wendy handed the phone to Emily and motioned for him to speak.

The little boy obediently answered, "Auntie Yuna, I'm with Wendy."

"That's good." Yuna breathed a sigh of relief. "You have to listen to Sister Wendy. She will send you back in the afternoon, Okay?"

The little boy's voice was soft and obedient. "Okay."

"Good boy," said Yuna. "Give the phone back to Sister Wendy. I'll tell her something."

"Okay." Emily obediently returned the phone to Wendy, and his little face was full of innocence. "Sister Wendy, Auntie Yuna said that she has something to tell you."

Wendy took the phone and put it beside her ear.

Yuna said, "Wendy, sorry to trouble you."

"It's alright." Wendy stood up and walked to the balcony. Then she said, "I've been in the hospital for so long, and I'm extremely bored. I even want Emily to stay with me a little longer so that I can tease him for a few more days!"

Yuna smiled, and her voice implied that she seemed to be in a dilemma.

"I know I can't." Wendy gave herself an out. "So, I will cherish today and have a good time teasing Emily!"

Yuna said, "I'll leave Emily to you."

"No problem!"

Wendy hung up the phone and went back to the living room. Seeing Emily sitting quietly on the sofa, she couldn't help rubbing his face. "What do you want to play? Do you want to hang out with me? How about we go to the amusement park?"

Emily's eyes lit up, but he soon calmed down. He shook his head and said, "Sister Wendy, we can't hang out."

"Huh?" Wendy was confused and asked, "Why?"

Emily whispered, "My daddy..."

"Ah..." Wendy sighed in disappointment. "I forgot about it."

Gavin came out and happened to hear them talk. He came over and knocked on Wendy's head. "You are an adult, and you haven't learned your lesson yet!"

Wendy's voice became weak. "I... just forgot about it for a moment."

Emily looked at Wendy and thought that she had been bullied. He rushed to Gavin angrily and said, "Don't bully Sister Wendy!"

Gavin rubbed the little boy's hair. "This is my place. I can even bully you, let alone Wendy. Do you want to fight with me?"

Emily snorted. "You are the same as Mr. Mu. You are both bad men! I don't like fighting. I can't defeat you!"

Gavin couldn't help laughing. "Speaking of that, you are also a boy. What do you think of yourself?"

Emily said confidently, "I am a good baby!"

Gavin was speechless.

At this moment, Gavin, who was invincible at the negotiating table, was quite at a loss to reply to a four-year-old child.

Not to mention Wendy, who was just a spectator, even Gavin himself didn't want to believe it...
