Chapter 875 Be Missing and Be in Trouble (2)

Joanne picked up the phone nervously and asked hopefully, "Wendy, can you get in touch with Aunt Helen?"

"Cousin, I was about to ask you this question." Wendy said in puzzlement, "I dialed the number you gave me but no one answered the phone. Is this number wrong?"

Joanne was very sure that the number she sent to Wendy was Aunt Helens.

Wendy lost contact with Aunt Helen, too.

Aunt Helen neither picked up the phone nor went home...

Yuna's suspicion was very likely to be true.

Joanne calmed herself down first and said, "Wendy, come back with Emily immediately. And ask Gavin to send more people to protect you two. Be careful on the way."

Wendy noticed that something unusual happened, and she was obviously flustered. "Okay... I... I know..." said she.

"Don't be afraid," Joanne comforted her. "I'm going to find your cousin-in-law now. We'll send someone to pick Emily and you up."

Wendy calmed down a lot and answered, "Okay."

When Joanne hung up the phone and turned her head, she found Yuna's hand was trembling.

She knew what Yuna was afraid of, so she tried to comfort her, saying "Don't worry. Maybe there's something wrong with Aunt Helen's mobile phone. Let's go find Wesley and Brian first."

Only Brian and Wesley knew how to deal with this situation. Asking them for help was the best choice.

Freya didn't know what was going on. She asked in a daze, "Joanne, what happened? Whats wrong with Aunt Helen?"

"I'm not sure yet." Joanne didn't want to make Freya anxious, but her tone revealed her uneasy mood. "Freya, you stay here. Yuna and I will go to the club," added she.

Joanne and Yuna almost rushed into the club. The manager told them that Brian and Wesley were in the meeting room.

Without knocking on the door, Joanne ran straight to the induction area. The automatic door rang and opened.

She went straight in with Yuna.

There were some other people in the conference room. They all looked at Joanne and Yuna in amazement as the two girls' sudden intruding puzzled them.

However, Joanne never did anything inexplicable, unless... something was wrong.

"Sorry, we need a pause."

Saying this, Brian got up, took Joanne's hand, and pulled her out. Wesley was in step with him. As the four people went out of the conference room, and the automatic door behind them slowly closed.

"Brian," Joanne grabbed Brian's hand and said, "Aunt Helen went to buy some food, but we can't get in touch with her now."

Wesley looked at Yuna and asked tensely, "What's going on?"

"I don't know..." Yuna's voice showed an unprecedented daze. "I went back from Joanne home and found Aunt Helen hadn't come back yet. So I called her, but... Aunt Helen didn't answer the phone."

Wesley frowned involuntarily. He asked one of his subordinates coldly, "Who drove Aunt Helen to the market?"

"Generally, it will be Orion and Silas." Then the man quickly reacted and said, "I'll contact them."

He called them several times, but no one answered.

Hanging up the phone, he looked at Wesley anxiously and said, "Brother Wesley, something... might happen."

Yuna's face suddenly turned pale. She snatched Wesley's phone.

Her grandma had passed away because of her. So she couldn't let anyone get hurt because of her again.

Wesley grasped Yuna's hand and asked, "Who are you calling?"

"Rowdy!" Yuna's tone was calm and firm. "I'll ask him to let go of Aunt Helen!"

Wesley wrested back his phone and said with a tough attitude, "I'll deal with it. I'll contact Rowdy after we figure everything out. You don't have to be involved in!"

He was afraid that Yuna would vacillate.

"There's no need to investigate!" Yuna raised her voice. "Rowdy found Aunt Helen and kidnapped her when she was not at the top of the mountain! Rowdy is much crueler than you think. You don't know how he will treat Aunt Helen!"

"Anyway, I'll deal with it!" Wesley said, "I know what Rowdy wants better than you do!"

Rowdy wanted no more than Yuna and Emily.

Once Yuna contacted Rowdy, he would definitely tell her that as long as she went back, Aunt Helen could come back safely.

In this way, Yuna would certainly vacillate.

However, how could Wesley let Yuna go back?

Wesley was in a dilemma.

Rowdy must have investigated Aunt Helen and knew how important she was to him, so he kidnapped her at this critical moment.

Next, Rowdy would propose to swap Yuna and Emily for Aunt Helen.

Otherwise, he would torture Aunt Helen with the most brutal tools.

However, how could Wesley let Aunt Helen get hurt?

For him, Aunt Helen was no different from his biological mother. She was as important as Yuna, but Rowdy forced him to choose one from them.

Rowdy seized Wesley's weakness-he not only planned to take Yuna back but also wanted to plunge Wesley into distress.

Joanne also realized Rowdy's purpose.

But on second thought, she felt that something was wrong and said a "Hmm" softly.

Noticing Joanne's confusion, Brian asked softly, "What's wrong?"

It seemed like something dawned on Joanne. She grabbed Brian's sleeve and looked at him in horror.

Brian frowned slightly, saying. "Joanne?"

Joanne tried her best to remain calm and said, "Rowdy has already known that Emily is here. Then why does he kidnap Aunt Helen? Isn't he afraid that we will threaten him with Emily? Besides, we won't hurt Emily. Assume that he kidnaps Aunt Helen just to make us send Emily back earlier, which we will do sooner or later, then he is no more than beating a dead horse. That means Rowdy's real goal should be Yuna. If he swaps Aunt Helen for Emily, how could he get Yuna?"

Those who were not familiar with Rowdy might think that his goal was just Emily.

However, Joanne could tell that Rowdy would not rest content with bringing Emily back only after forbearing and planning for such a long time.

If her guess was right, then Rowdy needed another bargaining chip.

Moreover, the second chip would have sheer weight. It would be either Wesley's relative or a person who could put Wesley in a dilemma.

There was one person who met these conditions-Iris.

When moved to the top of the mountain with Joanne, Brian had thought of taking Iris over for a short stay. He even asked Joanne to persuade her.

However, it didn't work.

The old lady said that she was used to living in Orchid Gardens. Only in the old house could she sleep well and live a peaceful life-this was also the reason why she was unwilling to move to Prime Villas even if Aiden and Romy were born.

Iris and Brian had hidden in the United States for more than ten years. After coming back, they found Arlington had undergone great changes. Where Brian's father had once become a skyscraper, leaving no mark of the past.

Apart from the old house in Orchid Gardens, she could not find the trace of Brian's father in a second place.

In addition, since Dolly had moved to Switzerland, she could take care of Gavin if she lived in Orchid Gardens.

However, Iris did not completely disregard her own safety. If the tension between Rowdy and Brian mounted to the top, she would move to the top of the mountain so as not to give Rowdy any chance to threaten Brian with her.

Brian thought that Gavin really needed an elder to take care of him. As long as he took full precautions and sent enough guardians, she would be safe.

He was sure that his security guards were strong enough to protect Iris.

Besides, Rowdy had been quiet during this period, so Brian did not ask Iris to move in anymore.

He thought Rowdy would probably not have any moves for a while after he sent Emily back today.

However, he was completely wrong. Rowdy had already aimed at Iris.

Brian took out his mobile phone and called Iris, but no one answered.

His face darkened. He hung up and wanted to call the bodyguard captain. Before he dialed, the captain called him.

"Mr. Lambert, Madam is in trouble!" the captain said anxiously.

These words chilled Brian. He shouted, "Tell me what happened!"

The captain answered, "Madam came to Mrs. Tang's place today to play cards. We had been watching aside and nothing happened. Later, a Mrs. Zhong asked Madam to go out. Madam didn't allow us to follow, so we could only let her go first. Less than half a minute later when we followed up, we found she had been taken away by Rowdy's subordinates, I think."

Fifteen years ago, Rowdy wanted to kill Iris and Brian, so Iris had to flee to the United States with Brian.

Before moving the headquarter of Lambert Group back to Arlington, Brian had warned himself not to give Rowdy any chance to hurt his family.

The harm that Rowdy had inflicted on Iris could not be eliminated in her whole life.

But now, she was caught by Rowdy's again, which would remind her of these nightmares.

"Mr. Lambert," The captain continued, "We just lost track of them. They were well prepared and were trying to stop us all the way. I don't know where they will take Madam to."

Brian hung up the phone and dialed another number. He ordered coldly, "Call everyone back to Arlington."

Joanne felt that a disaster was imminent. She grabbed Brian's hand, asking, "What happened to mom?"

Brian kissed her forehead and said. "Don't worry, I will deal with it. You just stay here and take care of Aiden and Romy."

The old lady was really in danger.

Joanne's eyes became red. "I'm afraid..."

She didn't know much about Rowdy, but she knew how cruel he was.

Iris and Aunt Helen were getting old, but Rowdy would not care about their ages. He would definitely vent his anger on the two old people so as to threaten Wesley and Brian...
