Wesley left the mountaintop and rushed directly to the municipal police station.
In the monitoring room, the police chief and Brian were still searching for Rowdy through the road surveillance video
They tried their best, but in the end, the police station still shook his head helplessly. "Mr. Lambert, the person you are looking for should have turned to take another car by exploiting the blind spot of the monitored area. We can't find out his whereabouts."
Rowdy had planned it for a long time. It would only be a waste of both time and affection if they continued the search, so Brian chose to give up.
Seeing this, the police chief said, "Brian, let's go to my office. We need to find another way."
When Brian and the chief entered the office, Wesley just arrived.
As soon as Wesley came in, he asked directly, "How is it?"
"We can't find Rowdy." Brian's voice was still calm. "Where is the person that Kai brought back?"
Wesley said, "Kai is watching her."
At this time, the chief interrupted them and asked, "Brian, do you really not need a public investigation?"
"Not now." Brian said, "I'll call you if I need your help."
"Okay, for the record, feel free to contact me." The chief said, "Your father was killed by the Kent family. We can't let the same thing happen to your mother."
Brian nodded and motioned for the chief to rest assured. Then, he and Wesley left the police station and got into the same car.
As soon as he fastened his seat belt, Brian said, "Contact Rowdy."
Wesley directly dialed Rowdy's number, put the phone on speaker, and placed it on the small mobile table.
Rowdy soon picked up the phone, laughed, and asked, "Do you like the surprise I sent to you?"
"Rowdy," Wesley said in a gloomy voice as if a storm was brewing. "You didn't return Aunt Helen to me."
"That's why I said it was a surprise." Rowdy said slowly, "I did not intend to send Mrs. Helen back from the very beginning. But I guessed that you should be very anxious, so I tried to move ahead with the deal, and you really agreed."
Wesley's voice slowly tensed up. "What do you want?"
"I want Yuna," Rowdy blurted out. "As long as Yuna comes back, I will send the two old ladies back. I won't stop torturing them until she comes back. Wesley, it's up to you."
Wesley hung up the phone and looked at Brian. "What should we do next?"
Brian thought for a moment and said, "Let's first go to see the old lady that Kai brought back. Maybe we can elicit something from her."
Some time ago, Wesley had bought an office building in the CBD, and Kai had sent the old lady who was disguised as Aunt Helen there.
Kai asked someone to search the old lady so as to make sure that there was nothing threatening on her body. He did not make things difficult for her but told her to sit down and asked a few questions.
The old lady had been trembling in fear and did not say anything useful.
When Kai was about to lose his temper, Brian and Wesley arrived.
"Brother Wesley, Mr. Lambert." Kai pointed to the old woman sitting on the sofa and said, "She is the old lady disguised as Aunt Helen."
Brian walked up to the old woman and asked directly, "Where did Rowdy do your makeup?"
Brian and Wesley both had an aura of aggression. When they appeared together, even the atmosphere in the entire office building became tense.
The old lady was already afraid, and now she was even more nervous. She said in a trembling voice, "This morning, a gang of people suddenly came to my house and ordered me to disguise myself as an old woman. Otherwise, they warned that they would kill my son."
The old lady cried as she spoke. "I can't let my son get hurt. Besides, the leader is my son's boss. I could only listen to them. I really don't know what happened, nor do I know who I was disguised as. Didn't that young man just ask these questions?"
Kai admitted it. "Mr. Lambert, I've asked all these questions."
Brian pondered for a moment and said, "Let her go."
Although Kai was surprised, he would never doubt Brian and Rowdy. He gave his men a look and said, "Send the old lady away."
The other subordinates knew their place and left.
Kai then asked, "Mr. Lambert, why did you let her go so easily?"
Brian calmly explained, "The old lady is not lying, and she doesn't know any valuable information. Also, she can't be our bargain chip, so there is no need for us to make things difficult for an old lady."
Kai nodded and diverted his attention from the old lady. Then he asked, "What should we do next?"
"Continue the search. Even if you can't search for them, you have to cause some trouble to him. If we piss Rowdy off, maybe he will reveal something." Brian took a look at Wesley and continued, "Wesley, let's go to my company. I need to contact someone."
When Brian and Wesley were on the way to the company, Rowdy and Emily were also on their way home.
Rowdy put away his mobile phone, with a triumphant smile on his face. It made him look gloomy and happy.
However, Emily's eyes were red, and he looked at Rowdy with great dissatisfaction.
"All right." Rowdy gave Emily a rarely gentle look and said, "I'll take you home." He reached out his hand and wanted to touch Emily's head.
Emily suddenly burst into tears. He dodged and patted Rowdy on his hand with a look of resistance.
Rowdy's expression changed. "Emily?" It was a warning with a hint of anger in it.
Emily ignored Rowdy's displeasure, turned to look out of the window, and rolled down the window.
For people like Rowdy, personal safety was always the first priority. Especially when he was outside, the first rule was never to open the window.
Opening the window meant that someone would be given a chance to shoot him, and he could be dead at any time.
Regardless of whether Emily knew this rule or not, he would not allow him to break the rule. There was no exception, even if Emily was his son!
Rowdy held Emily in his arms, immediately closed the window, and shouted at him, "What are you doing!?"
Not to mention Emily, even the driver in the driver's seat was startled by his shouting.
Emily was shocked and looked at Rowdy in a daze. Then, he completely lost control of his tears. He cried out loudly and struggled with all fours. "Let me go. I don't want to be with you. Let me go!"
Rowdy was so angry that his chest rose and fell violently. "Who do you want to be with?!"
"It's not you anyway. I hate you!" Emily cried hysterically. "I don't want you to be my daddy. Let me go, let me go!"
The malice in Rowdy's eyes became more intense. He suddenly grabbed Emily hard with his hands as tough as iron bars. "I am warning you. Don't move!"
Milo, who was in the passenger seat, turned around and explained to Emily, "Emily, we will be in danger if you roll down the window. Daddy did that for your safety. Don't cry. Let's go home."
"Why didn't you send Granny Helen back!" Emily finally shouted. "You obviously promised Uncle Hayes that as long as I went home, you would send Granny Helen back. You broke your promise. I hate you!"
"What did you call Wesley?" Rowdy looked at Emily gloomily and emphasized in an imperative manner, "Emily, you can't call Wesley uncle!"
Emily was so angry that he could not speak Mandarin fluently. Subconsciously, he said in English, "We are talking about Granny Helen. Don't change the subject. I won't talk to you about that!"
"Do you really want that old lady surnamed Zhou to go back?" Rowdy knew Emily more or less. He soon guessed something and asked, "Do you like that old lady very much?"
"..." Emily wiped away his tears and did not say anything.
Rowdy understood that Emily had tacitly admitted it.
He laughed and said, "Since you like her so much, isn't it better for you to let her stay here so that she can accompany you?"
Emily's eyes lit up. He stared at Rowdy and said, "I heard you. You said that you would ask Granny Helen to accompany me."
Rowdy said, "As long as you stop crying, I can promise you anything."
Emily wiped away his tears and said, "I still need Granny Iris to accompany me!"
"Iris?" Rowdy was a little confused. "You also know her?"
Rowdy did not know what exactly had happened to Emily when he was away from him, nor did he know if he had seen Iris.
"Yes!" Emily looked innocent. "Granny Iris is the babies' grandmother. I like Granny Iris the way I like Granny Helen!"
Rowdy did not doubt Emily's words. He nodded and said inductively, "If you want Granny Iris to accompany you, you need to answer a few questions."
Emily blinked and said, "Questions? Are they very difficult?"
"No." Rowdy asked, "Have you heard Auntie Yuna talk about where you lived when you were with her?"
Emily shook his head. "No."
Rowdy frowned and asked further, "Then where did you live?"
"The house I lived with Auntie Yuna is like my house in America!" Emily said, "Those houses are built separately. Auntie Yuna and Auntie Joanne live in different houses, and there is a garden before the house."
Emily was talking about the villa.
Rowdy first thought of the villa area.
Could it be that Wesley and Yuna were actually in Prime Villas?
Rowdy asked further for confirmation, "Emily, do you remember anything else?"
"It's so cool there!" Emily said, "We can even park the helicopter!"
In Prime Villas, there was indeed a private helistop.
Rowdy vaguely saw the hope and continued to ask, "What else?"
"Nothing." Emily spread out his hands and said innocently, "I could only stay in Auntie Yuna's house or Auntie Joanne's house. I don't know anything else."
"You replied very well." Rowdy said, "I'll find a way to get Auntie Yuna back."
Emily compressed his lips and did not say anything.
He did not tell Daddy that Auntie Yuna had asked him to give those answers.
He knew that Auntie Yuna and Auntie Joanne actually lived on the top of a mountain.
However, if he told his daddy the truth, his daddy would bring Auntie Yuna back. If so, Auntie Yuna and her baby would be in danger.
He had to protect Auntie Yuna's baby and Auntie Joanne's babies.
Therefore, he had to lie.
