"You let so many people see you like this."
In a deep voice full of mixed emotions, Brian kissed her in a sudden before She figured out whether he was jealous.
She just felt a warm touch on her lips, his arrogant breath all around her... After a while, it took up her senses.
As if she could feel nothing but him.
At first, Brian only contained her lips and tasted them gently. After a while, he was not satisfied yet and cuddled her, holding her tightly in his arms and begun to suck her lips hard.
Joanne's lips hurt a little, but as Brian's hot breath was ironed on her nose, the tip of which seemed to itch, she forgot the pain and opened her teeth on her own to accept him.
It was rare for her to be so voluntary. Brian satisfactorily raised the corner of his mouth and gently kissed her, with his hands fondling around her waist.
For the first time, Joanne felt that kissing was a magical thing. It could be as overwhelming as a storm and as lingering as a trickle. All her strength seemed to have been taken away by such a kiss, and she slowly leaned into Brian's arms.
Taking advantage of this, Brian hugged her and deepened the kiss. Joanne's face was blushed with shyness as she thought she was throwing herself at him.
When she was on the point of pushing him away, he had already pushed her down on the bed and covered her body with his.
Joanne was stunned for a moment before saying, "Brian..." She was tempted to say something to stop the kiss, but she held herself back.
"Yes?" Brian rubbed her lips. "What's wrong?"
"You..." Joanne swallowed and felt that her lips became extremely sensitive. "You..."
Brian looked at her with a sly look and was trying to tease her again, but the phone in his office suddenly rang.
Joanne took the opportunity to push him and by the way, remind him. "Mr. Brian, you are on duty."
Brian bit her lips gently and warned her in a whisper. "Change your clothes before you get out."
Seeing that the door of the restroom was closed, Joanne kicked the quilt away and got up before she walked to the window. The rainbow was still hanging in the sky, and its color was beautiful.
It was not an illusion but a fact that there was something wonderful going to happen when she was with him around.
She changed into her own shirt and jeans and made the bed. "The working time is over, and there should no one else in Brian's office."
As Joanne walked out of the restroom cautiously, Brian walked to her carrying her bag. She took the bag and put it on her shoulder and asked, "Are we going home now?"
Brian replied, "Or is there anywhere else you want to go?"
Joanne had been bored for so many days, and her mind had already flown outside, but, looking at Brian, she still shook her head. "Forget it, you won't like it. Let's go home."
Brian did not say anything and leaded her down the stairs. Winston was already waiting for them at the entrance of the company in his car. Brian chatted with Winston, who nodded and gave the key to him before getting out of the car.
Joanne was rather confused. Brian had to be tired after a day of work. Did he still want to drive himself?
Brian did not sit in the driver's seat for the first time. He came over and handed the key to Joanne while saying, "You can drive to anywhere you want."
Joanne suppressed her joy and dubiously said, "Will you accompany me?"
Brian smiled and said, "Yes, I will."
Joanne resisted the urge to cheer and ran to the driver's seat. Brian was already in the passenger's seat. She started the car and headed for the most prosperous downtown area of the city.
The pedestrian street in the business district was always bustling with people after work, but Joanne was familiar with the place and soon found a parking lot. After parking the car, she took Brian's hands and headed for the largest shopping mall.
Brian knew her well. She was not as keen on shopping as Freya. He believed that Joanne was definitely not taking him there for shopping.
As he had expected, she didn't even took a glimpse at the dazzling jewels and cosmetics on the counters and took him directly into the elevator and went to the top floor.
There were several young girls in the elevator. At first, Joanne didn't think there was anything wrong, but, the girls kept taking a quick peep at Brian from time to time, and finally, they started staring at him directly.
"Well, are you girls coveting my husband?"
The most courageous and beautiful one among the girls went straight to Brian and said, "Hi, Mr. handsome, let's exchange our phone numbers. I want to be your girlfriend."
It was the first time that Joanne had seen someone strike up a conversation in such a simple and direct way and thought it kind of interesting. She wanted to stay away from Brian silently and watch how he would deal with the situation.
However, Brian grabbed her hand and said, "I am married."
The girls' cold eyes fell on Joanne, who could almost feel their anger. When she was frozen, Brian suddenly held her in his arms. The girls left in a resentful mood.
The door of the elevator was closed again, and Joanne looked Brian up and down. "Mr. Lambert, it seems that you are very popular."
Brian tightened his arms around her waist and said, "Then, why did you still want to run from me?"
Right then, the door of the elevator opened at the 12th floor, and the ticket hall of the cinema loomed into their view.
Joanne carefully observed Brian's expression and wondered. "Why aren't you surprised at all at my taking you to a cinema?"
Before Brian could answer, a man wearing a suit with a work card had come over to them. "Mr. Brian, Mrs. Lambert, why haven't you informed us of your arrival in advance? I could have arranged it well for you."
Joanne was stunned and then remembered that this commercial building was owned by Lambert Group. Brian knew she was going to watch the movie at the time when she pressed the button of the 12th floor. Then there was indeed nothing to be surprised.
Brian looked over at her. "What movie do you like to watch?"
Joanne uttered a name of a movie, a blockbuster that was on recently, and it was said that its tickets were hard to buy one.
The manager showed signs of embarrassment, and Joanne said, "If this movie sold out, we can watch other movies."
"No need. Mr. Brian is our rare visitor. I'll deal with the tickets. Please wait for a while." The manager walked away. After a few minutes, he returned with two tickets, the seats of which were in the middle of the middle row. The manager said, "Mrs. Lambert, Let me take you to your seats."
The movie would start in ten minutes, and at that time, the audience must be swarming around the entrance to have their tickets checked. It would be too conspicuous for them to be escorted by the manager, so, Joanne said, "Thank you, we can go there on our own. Go ahead with your own business."
The manager looked at Brian and found that their respected Mr. Brian was obviously in deference to his wife. So he gave the ticket to Joanne and left.
Joanne and Freya used to come there to watch movies because the popcorn there was the best and the seats were the most comfortable ones, so she was familiar with this place. She took Brian to the projection hall and asked curiously, "You rarely go to your own cinema? The manager was happier to see you than the God of Wealth."
"I've come here only once on the Christmas Eve last year since it opened." Brian rather cared about the date.
"Hey? You were here last Christmas Eve?" Joanne felt it rather surprising. "Freya and I were also here to watch movies. Every Christmas Eve, the seats of the restaurants and cinemas are hard to find. When Freya and I came here, even the tickets of the midnight movie were sold out , but we were lucky enough to meet two people who happened to leave and sold their tickets to us. What would you say if we met each other last Christmas Eve?"
In fact, Brian saw Joanne at that time.
On the snowing Christmas Eve, the whole mall was full of an atmosphere of Christmas. She was wearing a thick coat and a knitted hat around her ears, her mouth wrapped in a plain scarf, swathing herself like a bear. Only her eyes were exposed, but he still recognized her among the crowd at a glance.
But he just watched as she passed by him, so -
"Nothing would happen even if we saw each other at that time." he said.
Joanne agreed about that. What could she do even if she saw him? And... They hadn't seen each other for more than a decade, so, Brian couldn't easily recognize her. Maybe they had missed each other.
But that didn't matter anymore, as there was a more important thing that she actually forgot to buy cola and popcorn!
"Wait a minute -" Joanne pulled Brian to the counter of the canteen. "What do you want to drink? I want coke and popcorn!"
Brian frowned. "No, buy something else."
"No!" Joanne refused without hesitation. "It's said that movies and cola and popcorn go together better. You hate Coke, right? Then you can drink mineral water."
Having been given the mineral water he used to drink, Brian still looked unhappy, and then Joanne shook his arm while saying, "Only this time, I will listen to you next time."
Her innocent pleading look was really irresistible. Brian finally gave up and did not say anything, but he didn't know that she was thinking about not going out for a movie with him anymore. In her thought, Freya was a better companion when watching a movie while enjoying cola and popcorn.
After paying for the drinks and popcorn, they went to the ticket entrance, where there were a lot of people queuing. They waited at the end of the line but still attracted many eyes.
In order to avoid an conversation between Brian and other girls, Joanne took his hands to swore her sovereignty.
No matter what would happen in the future, Brian belonged to her at that moment, and the others could just give up!
Seeing that Joanne was leaning on him like a little koala, a touch of helpless smile flickered across Brian's lips. He received the popcorn in her arms, handed the tickets to the ticket inspector, and took her to look for their seats.
The middlemost seat in the middle row was very easy to find. After they sat down, a young girl came over deliberately and asked Brian, "Hello, excuse me, where is row K?"
Joanne smiled and pointed at the back. "At the end."
Apparently, the girl did not expect that Brian was with Joanne. Her face stiffened and she went away resentfully. Joanne grabbed a few popcorn and sent them into her mouth. She chewed hard unhappily.
In the future, he would never bring Brian to such a place full of people. There were too many people who coveted him.
The spacious projection hall was quickly filled with people, and the film began to show. As a loyal fan of this series, Joanne, totally fascinated by the movie, was eating popcorn while watching.
She sat on the right side of Brian. Brian had been holding the popcorn bucket in his right hand in order to make the popcorn more accessible to her. After a while, his mobile phone vibrated gently in his pocket. He shifted the popcorn bucket to the left hand and try to get the phone with his right hand. When Joanne reached out for popcorn, she did not touch anything. As a result, she touched him carelessly.
The movie totally attracted Joanne's attention, so, she didn't realize what she was doing at the moment. After a while, she turned around to look at Brian, only to find him staring at her coldly, and her hand...
Emm, where did she just put her hand? !
