Chapter 899 A Good Trap

In Aunt Helen's ward of the Eighth Hospital.

Ah Kai went back to the ward and said to Wesley, "Brother Wesley, Mr. Lambert asked me to help him with something."

"Go ahead," Wesley said, "I'll stay with Aunt Helen. I don't need you to be here."

"..." Kai suddenly felt abandoned. After hesitating for a while, he said, "Brother Wesley, I'm your subordinate after all. Why don't you ask what Mr. Lambert asked me to do?"

Wesley looked at Kai and said lightly, "Brian's order..."

When Kai thought that Wesley finally cared about him and was about to reply, he heard Wesley continue, "is my order."

Wesley meant that when Kai worked for Brian, he was Brian's subordinate, and he just needed to listen to Brian.

He did not care.

Kai felt as if his heart had been shot with an arrow. He shook his head and left the ward with a sigh.

With Yuna and their child, Wesley was really going to abandon him.

Damn, how could he abandon his friend when he had his woman?

Not long after Kai left, Aunt Helen woke up from her coma.

Wesley had been waiting by the bed, so he naturally noticed Aunt Helen's movement immediately. He pressed the bed bell hard and told the nurse that Aunt Helen had woken up.

"Got it," the nurse said, "the doctor will be there right away."

Wesley looked at Aunt Helen and asked in a slightly trembling voice, "Aunt Helen, how are you feeling?"

After opening her eyes, Aunt Helen suspected that it was her illusion. Taking a closer look, she found that it was really Wesley, and she was really in a hospital.

She remembered that she was locked up by Rowdy, but why was she in the hospital? Why was Wesley here?

"Aunt Helen, you're injured." Wesley noticed the old lady's doubts and said, "Don't move. Wait for the doctor to come and see you."

"Okay," Aunt Helen remembered Iris and hurriedly asked, "Little Seven, did you get me out? Where is Yulan? How is she?"

"You're seriously injured. Rowdy sent you to the hospital, and we found you." Wesley said, "As for Aunt Iris... we're still looking for her."

Aunt Helen stretched out her hand and said in a weak voice, "Little Seven, help me up."

Wesley carefully helped Aunt Helen sit up, put a cushion behind her back, and then helped her lean back for fear that she would feel any bit of discomfort.

"Well, it's okay now." Aunt Helen motioned for Wesley to sit down and then said, "Rowdy kidnapped Yulan and me and locked us up together."

Wesley asked, "Do you know where Rowdy locked you up?"

Aunt Helen said with a sigh, "When we were brought in, Rowdy blindfolded us. Also, I'm not familiar with Arlington, so I don't know where I was. But, the house we lived in was very old but eye-pleasing, like those well-preserved old house. I heard from Yulan that we might be in the old city area."

If Wesley remembered correctly, the old house of the Kang's family was in the old city area.

However, he had contacted Kim, who told him with great certainty that Aunt Helen and Aunt Iris were not there.

When Wesley was deep in thought, the doctor and the nurse came in and were required to examine Aunt Helen's body.

Wesley said, "Aunt Helen, let the doctor examine. I'm going out to make a phone call."

Aunt Helen did not dare to nod with the wound on her head, so she closed her eyes and said, "Go ahead. Call Brian and tell him about it. Maybe he knows where it is located."

Aunt Helen was right. Wesley did plan to contact Brian.

The phone was soon answered, and Wesley said directly, "Aunt Helen has woken up. She told me that she and Aunt Iris were probably locked up by Rowdy in the old city area. Do you remember that the old house of the Kang's family is in the old city area?"

Brian thought for a moment and just asked, "How about Aunt Helen's injury?"

"The doctor is examining. It seemed to be no big deal." Wesley sounded confused. "Brian, did you hear what I said just now?"

"I heard that." Brian said, "Kai and I found that Rowdy did lock Aunt Helen and my mom in the old city area."

"What is the address?" Wesley said, "I asked Kim, and he confirmed that Aunt Helen and Aunt Iris were not in the old house of the Kang's family."

"Rowdy is very smart. He didn't lock them up in the old house of the Kang's family, but in the abandoned old house of his uncle." Brian said, "If I didn't find out that place, I wouldn't even remember Larry's old house."

In the grievances between Rowdy and them, Larry was indeed a character who was rarely mentioned, let alone Larry's old house in Arlington.

Rowdy hid the two old ladies in a place they had never thought of. No wonder they found no clues after several days of investigation.

Fortunately, Brian and Kai had already found it out, but-

Wesley asked, "Is Aunt Iris still there?"

"She has been transferred somewhere else by Rowdy," Brian said, "we're slow."

"..."

Wesley did not speak for a while.

No wonder Brian was indifferent to the fact that Aunt Iris might be in the old city area and just cared about Aunt Helen's injury.

Brian was blaming himself.

Wesley tried to comfort Brian. "Regarding this transfer, Rowdy should not be well-prepared enough. There may be some clues. If we continue to investigate, we should be able to find the whereabouts of Aunt Iris."

Brian said, "Kai and I are still investigating."

Wesley thought for a moment and said, "I'll find an opportunity to contact Kim. This time, maybe he will know something."

"Don't take risks," Brian said, "Rowdy has slowly trusted Kim. If Kim is exposed now, he will be in danger, which will be a great loss to us."

"I'll see what I can do," Wesley said.

Brian replied with a "yep" and continued, "Since Aunt Helen woke up, transfer her to the private hospital. Gavin will be in charge of the formalities, and you can send Aunt Helen there directly."

"I also have this plan," Wesley said, "I'm going to contact Gavin."

"Gavin is in the hospital. Just call him," Brian talked to Wesley on the phone while assigning tasks to his subordinates. In the end, he said to Wesley, "I have a meeting. Bye."

Wesley hung up the phone neatly, then called Gavin and told him about Aunt Helen's transfer. After that, he returned to the ward.

The doctor just finished the examination for Aunt Helen.

Wesley asked the attending doctor directly, "How is Aunt Helen's condition?"

"It's not serious. Remember to change the dressing on time," the attending doctor said, "for observation, the patient needs to rest in the hospital for a few days. If there's nothing serious, she can leave the hospital in a few days."

Wesley nodded. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," the attending doctor smiled and suddenly asked, "where's the little boy? When the patient was sent here, he kept crying and begging me to wake her up."

Wesley glanced at the doctor with a cold look. The doctor did not know what he had said wrong, but he could clearly feel that he had mentioned a wrong topic.

The doctor did not say anything more and left with the nurse.

"Little Seven," Aunt Helen asked Wesley, "the child that the doctor talked about is Emily, right?"

Wesley knew that Aunt Helen doted on the little boy from the Kang's family, but from now on, Aunt Helen would never see him again.

Therefore, he had not planned to tell Aunt Helen that it was Emily who had sent her to the hospital today.

But now, he could not hide it anymore.

"Yes," Wesley said, "Emily and one of Rowdy's men sent you here this morning. They've already gone."

Aunt Helen smiled with tears in her eyes. "After going back yesterday, Emily kept saying that he would protect Yulan and me. He did his best to make us suffer less. Little Seven, can you promise me one thing?"

Wesley had already guessed what Aunt Helen was going to tell him.

The truth was just as he had expected.

Aunt Helen said, "People like Emily's father will be punished sooner or later. I also know that you and Brian will not let him go. If one day, Rowdy really falls into the hands of you and Brian, Little Seven, can you not hurt Emily?"

In order to reassure Aunt Helen, Wesley agreed directly without hesitation. "He is just a child. The grievances between Rowdy and us have nothing to do with him. Aunt Helen, don't worry. I know what I should do."

Aunt Helen closed her eyes. "I'm relieved to hear that."

After lunch, Wesley went through the transfer formalities for Aunt Helen.

An ambulance from the private hospital soon arrived, as well as a doctor and two nurses.

Wesley also got into the ambulance.

"Little Seven," Aunt Helen said helplessly, "I can stay in the public hospital. A transfer is unnecessary."

"It's not safe in a public hospital," Wesley said, "staying in the private hospital is more suitable for your recovery. Gavin is also in that hospital. I'll be more relieved."

Aunt Helen could only follow Wesley's arrangement.

When they arrived at the private hospital, Wesley quickly arranged everything for Aunt Helen, and Aunt Helen's ward was on the floor below Gavin's ward.

Gavin had gone to do a checkup. When Wendy heard that Aunt Helen had been transferred here, she quickly ran downstairs and soon found Wesley and Aunt Helen.

"Aunt Helen, Boss Hayes!" Wendy ran into the ward and greeted them.

Aunt Helen had only seen Wendy a few times, but she had a good impression of this girl who dared to tease Wesley. She smiled and asked her to be seated.

In contrast, Wesley blurted out without greeting, "You came here at a good time. I have something to do, so I have to go now. Help me take care of Aunt Helen."

Wendy moved to Aunt Helen and said, "But Aunt Helen asked me to sit down."

Wesley said, "If you like, you can take care of Aunt Helen while sitting."

"Boss Hayes, why did you assign tasks to me as soon as I came?" Wendy was very depressed. "If it were Yuna, you would definitely not do this. You will definitely take good care of Yuna."

Wesley glanced at Wendy and asked, "Doesn't Gavin take good care of you?"

Even if Wendy is eloquent, she was speechless.

How should she reply?

If she said no, Boss Hayes would definitely make fun of Gavin. If she said yes, Boss Hayes would definitely ask her if she was not content with being cared for by only Gavin.

"Damn it, Boss Hayes set up a good trap!"
