Chapter 90 Where Did She Put Her Hand? (2)

Joanne was embarrassed and blushed. After withdrawing her hands back and pretending that nothing had happened, she continued to watch the movie.

After a while of carefully thinking, she gravely snatched the popcorn back and then went on watching the movie as if nothing had happened.

She dared not to look at Brian's expression.

More than an hour later, the film was over, and the audience left the showroom while discussing the plot. Brian put back his cell phone.

Joanne, like many other fans, watched the movie very carefully. She didn't pay much attention to Brian, who seemed to be looking at his cell phone all the time.

She moaned for a moment and asked him, "You don't like watching movies?"

Brian raised his eyebrows and said, "It depends on who I am with."

He barely looked at the screen while with her. Did that mean he just didn't like watching movie with her?

Joanne looked away and said, "Brian, could you be a little bit euphemistic?"

Brian looked at her slightly unhappy face for a moment and fondled her head. "Don't be silly. If I don't want to watch movie with you, I won't follow you into here at all. Do you think that I didn't watch it at all?"

Joanne glanced at him. "You haven't watched it at all. I didn't mean to blame you. I just want to tell you that you don't need to be with me if you don't like to. I was just bored and wanted to kill time by watching movies."

Brian sighed. In order to prove that he did watch it, he briefly restated the main plot of the movie and correctly repeated some dialogues of the main characters and described the ending of each character.

Joanne was stunned. "Have you watched the movie before?"

"The premiere of this movie was on the last Saturday, and we have been together during all these days. Do you think that I would have time to go out and watch a movie?" Brian asked. "Joanne, not everyone has to stare at the screen from the beginning to the end to understand a movie."

He could do two things at the same time and did them efficiently.

Joanne could only admire Brian.

"I don't know if there will be a sequel of this movie." She sighed when the film's finale was still playing on the big screen.

"The shooting of the sequel will start in half a year, and the crew remains unchanged," Brian said.

"Wow?" Joanne looked at Brian strangely and excitedly. "How do you get to know this so clearly? There is none official news about it yet."

Brian handed his phone to Joanne, on which she saw an e-mail written in several lines of brief and sincere English words:

Mr. Lambert, I'm glad that your wife likes our work. Please tell her that the shooting work of the sequel will start in half a year with the same cast. The plot will be more exciting, and the production will be more excellent. In addition, I hope we have a pleasant cooperation.

The signature of the e-mail was a familiar English name.

Joanne thought about it for a while, remembering that it was the president's name of a movie studio.

In the last e-mail Brian delivered to the president, he talked about a cooperation with him, and the president mentioned the series of the films to him. Brian replied, "I'm watching the movie with my wife. And she loves it very much."

Under normal circumstances, Joanne might feel excited and sweet because of Brian's last sentence. But at that moment, she was more surprised-Brian actually cooperated with such a wonderful production company whose movies created box office myths every year!

She covered her mouth with her hands excitedly and grabbed Brian's arm. "Since you know him, then can you help me get Watson's autograph?"

"The hero in this movie?" Brian raised the corner of his lips and said word by word, "Don't even think about it."

After that, he took Joanne down the stairs by elevator.

Joanne was not star-struck, but she had adored the hero of the movie for many years. Brian still refused her request even after she acted like a spoiled child in front of him by handing his hands on the road.

She made a last try. "I'll promise you anything. Well, how about I make breakfast for you in the next three months?"

"Didn't you say that our chef is the professional one?" Brian was not moved at all. "Then, I won't bother you with this. You'll only be responsible for making our dinner."

Joanne curled her lips with frustration. "You're stingy."

When they just arrived at the door of the mall, Brian's mobile phone suddenly vibrated. Joanne inadvertently caught a glimpse of the name on the caller ID-it was Rosalyn.

She suddenly had an unnatural feeling in her heart without reason. She smiled and pointed to a skincare counter in the mall. "You answer the phone first. I happen to want to have a look at that counter."

Brian seized her hand and stopped her from leaving as he answered the phone.

There were many people passing by them, making all kinds of sounds. Joanne could not hear what Rosalyn had said to Brian, but she could hear Brian's answer.

He always didn't say much and would only perfunctorily answer others with "um" or "OK". "You can discuss this with the agent." He hung up the phone in less than two minutes.

Had it not been for this call, Joanne would have forgotten Rosalyn and the innumerable affairs between her and Brian.

But in fact, Rosalyn only went abroad for filming. She did not disappear from her and Brian's life. Moreover, she would be back soon.

"We just talked about her returning and attending the anniversary celebration of the company." Brian looked at Joanne calmly. "What are you thinking about?"

Joanne looked seriously. "I'm wondering if I should buy another kind of masks."

Brian was speechless.

Joanne took his hand and went to the parking lot. "Forget about it, let's go home first."

Actually, she was curious about the reason why Rosalyn called Brian. However, since Brian dared to answer the phone in front of her, there was no need for her to fret about the thing.

It was almost ten o'clock in the evening after they went home and had dinner. Joanne didn't want to sleep at all, but she could not think of anything to do. So, she just turned around in the living room, moving the things back and forth here and there, and finally bumped into Brian.

Since there was nothing to do at home, Simon and other servants had already gone to sleep. There was only Joanne wandering around in the living room. Finally, she saw someone, so, she smiled at him, "Aren't you busy?"

"No," Brian answered and then asked, "What's wrong?"

"Do something with me. It's too boring." Joanne held his hands and looked eagerly at him.

Brian raised his lips slightly. "There aren't many things we can do at this time. What do you want me to do with you, huh?"

He repeated "do" three times, which deviated Joanne's thoughts, and a unnatural expression flashed within her eyes. She coughed. "Don't be too cheeky!"

Suddenly something came into her mind as she spoke. "By the way. When we were watching the movie, the hero and heroine were dancing the Waltz. But why didn't you teach me a lot of dance moves in it? The more complicated the moves are, the more interesting the dance will be."

Brian checked the time. "What about I teach you right now?"

Joanne pretended to think seriously, "Okay."

Brian took her hand, ready for a pose to dance, and followed up what he taught her yesterday-Conrad exchanging steps, side sliding steps, and back sliding steps, but what he was teaching was more complex than yesterday.

At first, he thought that Joanne could not digest what he thought in a while and planned to teach her bit by bit. But she learned very flexibly and was really clever. Once he taught it, then she could clumsily dance with him.

After several practicing, she could dance the moves really smoothly and gracefully. In addition, her figure was tall and slim that she looked really beautiful when dancing the Waltz.

In fact, Brian would rather she was not so smart and learned slowly, forgetting the next move when dancing awkwardly, looking at him embarrassedly with a good-looking little face, and stepping on his feet accidentally. In this way, he would have countless opportunities to confuse her to give him a good hand on her own initiative.

However, she had been skilled for moving back and forth, turning around, and sliding in a dance. She matched up with him airily like a just awakened elf, laughing happily and contentedly.

Looking at her, Brian thought it was also OK.

As long as she was happy.

There were superb audio electronics in the living room. Brian played music and started to dance with Joanne from the most basic moves. There was already something between them that could be called "tacit understanding", and they danced smoothly and comfortably.

"You're learning faster than yesterday." It was rare for him to praise Joanne.

"That's because Professor Brian taught better than yesterday." Joanne turned around, cooperating with Brian. "Professor Brian, how many students have you taught?"

"You are the first one."

Joanne smiled. "It's a great honor for me."

It was already twenty past eleven in the evening. Joanne was tired of dancing and let go of Brian's hand. "Professor Brian, let's finish the class today."

Brian still held her right hand. "Don't you remember that we have rules for ending a class?"

"Rules?"

Joanne suddenly remembered that she had been tricked to kiss him yesterday. "Hooligan!"

She showed a smile of understanding and stared at Brian's lips while tiptoeing a little bit and shoving the paper money of one hundred dollars he had given her that morning into his hands. She got rid of him neatly and said, "it's the tuition, Mr. Lambert, and good night."

She slipped away so fast that Brian watched her back disappear in the corner and looked at the cash in his hand with a smile.

He received a call from his secretary when he was about to go upstairs.

"Mr. Brian, the custom dress you bought has already been airlifted to China. Would your wife like to have a try first?"

"No," Brian said, "Lock it in the safe of our company first, and I'll pick it up tomorrow."

"OK."

Brian suddenly looked forward to attend the company's anniversary celebration after hanging up the phone.

He almost witnessed Joanne grow up and knew how stunning she could be. As for him, he wanted the whole world to be surprised by her while he also wanted to hide her beauty and appreciate it alone.

By contrast, Joanne only felt uneasy.

She rarely attended parties not because she kept a low profile but that she really didn't like these occasions and didn't know much about the rules of those occasions. A few rare experiences of the parties she gained were under the force of Chris and Freya. Now she regretted. She should have followed Chris and Freya to the party more often.

In this way, now she could at least comfort herself that there was no difference between the ordinary parties and the anniversary celebration of Lambert Group and that she could handle it.

However, even if she really couldn't handle the situation, she still had Brian with her.

With him around her, she had nothing to worry about.

However, while she wanted to rely on him, she also wanted to act like those famous ladies who could behave gracefully with ease at parties and made Brian feel proud.

She was in a dilemma...

In the end, Joanne buried her face into the pillow-

"Forget it. Come what may!"
