At Wesley's villa next door.
When Wesley returned to the room, Yuna was already lying in bed, looking like she was asleep.
He didn't wake her up. Instead, he took a shower and went to bed.
After a long time, when making sure Wesley was asleep, Yuna opened her eyes and turned to look at Wesley.
Yes, she did not fall asleep at all.
It seemed that Wesley didn't intend to tell her about what had happened to Aunt Iris.
But it didn't matter. She could take the initiative to talk about this with Wesley.
When Wesley opened his eyes the next morning, Yuna had already washed up and changed her clothes.
He frowned and looked at her, asking, "Why are you up so early?"
Yuna explained seriously, "Because I went to bed early yesterday."
"..." Wesley couldn't find any flaws in this reason, so he could only go to wash up in the bathroom.
After he went out, Yuna was not in the room.
Wesley went downstairs doubtfully. As expected, he saw Yuna and a table of substantial breakfast.
Wesley knew Yuna well. She couldn't make it, and she didn't have that kind of cooking skill.
So there was only one possibility-Yuna asked the club to send the food over.
Wesley was even more confused and asked, "Why don't we go to the club and eat with Brian and others?"
"Hmm," Yuna said haltingly, "because... I have something to tell you."
Wesley took a sip of water and said lightly, "Okay, go ahead."
Yuna walked towards Wesley and sat face to face with him. She took a bite of the steamed bun and said, "Let's have breakfast first."
Wesley glanced at Yuna and asked in a dangerous tone, "Why don't you dare to tell me now?"
Yuna whispered, "I'm afraid that you will get angry before you are full. And it will be a waste of food..."
Wesley frowned and ordered, "Speak louder!"
Yuna looked up at Wesley and said seriously, "I'm afraid that you're hungry."
Wesley knew that it was not the real reason. But if he didn't eat, Yuna probably wouldn't tell him the truth.
So he sat down and began to eat.
Yuna had no appetite. She glanced at Wesley at each bite and her eyes gleamed with uncertainty as if she wanted to confirm something.
After finishing the porridge, Wesley wiped his mouth and looked at Yuna, saying, "You can say it now."
Yuna took a deep breath and said directly, "I know what happened to Aunt Iris."
Wesley frowned and asked, "What do you mean?"
"The photos sent by Rowdy at noon yesterday," Yuna didn't say anything more, "Wesley, even if you don't want to tell me, I already know."
If she knew that Iris was injured, Yuna would definitely blame herself. So Wesley didn't want Yuna to know. Indeed, he didn't intend to tell her the truth.
Joanne was unlikely to tell Yuna, either.
Then how did Yuna know that?
"No need to guess. I overheard it," Yuna said, "Joanne didn't tell me, but I heard it when she was talking to Freya in the kitchen."
Yesterday afternoon, when Joanne was preparing dinner in the kitchen, there was a sudden cry of surprise. FreyOriont in to check Joanne's condition and had not been out for a long time.
Worrying that something might happen, Yuna walked over and happened to hear Joanne telling Freya everything at the door.
Wesley said, "Brian and I have roughly confirmed Aunt Iris's position. You don't need to intervene in this matter."
"You can intervene, but you're going to risk yourself, aren't you?" Yuna suddenly said.
Wesley was really shocked, and there was a flash of surprise in his eyes.
He didn't expect Yuna to know that.
Needless to say, it must be Gavin who told Brian and Joanne.
"Wesley, look," Yuna continued, "if we must swap Aunt Iris with someone, that person would be me."
Wesley knew what Yuna was thinking. He looked serious and said in a cold voice, "Yuna, stop talking."
"Just hear me out!" Yuna said stubbornly, "If you replace Aunt Iris with yourself, Rowdy will kill you as soon as possible. You are such a major threat to him. I know that you must make a plan to escape, but Rowdy will not give you a chance to carry out the plan."
Wesley asked indifferently, "Will you have any chance?"
"Of course I do!" Yuna said, "at least, Rowdy won't kill me."
"But he won't let you go," Wesley couldn't bear Yuna being restrained by Rowdy. He ordered, "Yuna, I'll say this for the last time, stop talking."
"It's true that Rowdy won't offer to let me leave. But he will believe me when I go back this time. I can find the opportunity to escape at any time," Yuna said, "if you go there, you will definitely be killed. But if it's me, I won't die no matter how bad the situation is, and I could even have a chance to come back. Wesley, shouldn't you think about it thoroughly at this time?"
Wesley stared at Yuna frostily and asked, "Have you considered the child? Even if Rowdy trusts you and you can live, what about our child? Will Rowdy let him live?"
"..." Yuna paused and said, "I have my own way to keep the child. I can guarantee that Rowdy can't hurt him."
"Tell me, what's in your mind?" Wesley asked. His eyes were like torches, blazing with anger. But at the same time, his sight chilled others.
"..."
If Dr. Liu was not Rowdy's accomplice, then the test result given by Dr. Liu would be the solution.
She would tell Rowdy that the child had no signs of life and that there was a blood clot in her brain which would impact her health if aborting the child. In this way, Rowdy would not harm her child.
However, she couldn't tell Wesley that.
Once he knew the blood clot in her brain, he would no longer insist on delivering the baby.
"Yuna," Wesley said in a colder tone, "why don't you speak?"
Yuna swallowed and said, "Wesley, trust me. Just this time."
"You don't even dare to tell me the so-called method. How can I trust you?" Wesley stared at Yuna and asked, "what on earth are you thinking about?"
"I'll tell you when I come back," Yuna's looked at him imploringly, "Wesley, please trust me this time. I..."
"No way!" Wesley interrupted Yuna decidedly, "I won't agree."
Wesley took a tough stance. If it were in the past, Yuna might have given up.
However, as this matter concerned Aunt Iris's life, she could not give up easily.
"Wesley!" Yuna said seriously, "Can you think about Aunt Iris? Rowdy has begun to hurt her, and she would have a harder time in the following days! And have you ever thought about how much Brian and Joanne are worrying about her?"
"Even so," Wesley said word by word in a low voice, "I won't let you go back."
"I'm really confident," Yuna pleaded, "Wesley, I'm begging you. Believe me this time, okay?"
Wesley was too tired to refuse again. So he threatened her directly, "Yuna, you'd better drop this idea. If you mention it one more time, I may handcuff you at home again."
"..." Yuna couldn't help satirizing him, saying, "Wesley, what else can you do besides violence and threats?"
"You know what else I can do," Wesley glanced at Yuna's belly and said, "if you really forget, I can let you experience it again in a few months."
"..." Yuna couldn't help glaring at Wesley.
Wesley snorted and said, "You're right to ask me to have breakfast first."
Yuna sneered and took a step back. "I know you well. Wesley, are you full now?"
"Yes," Wesley said frankly, "partially because of you."
"..." Yuna could only say, "You're full. That's good..."
Wesley narrowed his eyes and warned her, "Yuna, I'll say it again. I don't want to hear you mention what you said this morning again."
Yuna looked at Wesley and asked diffidently, "What about asking you to have breakfast?"
"Did you do it on purpose?" Wesley's voice was full of homicidal intention.
Yuna shivered and said in a hurry, "Go. I'm in danger while you are around me."
Wesley still wanted to say something, but a bodyguard happened to come in and said, "Brother Wesley, Mr. Lambert asked when can you leave?"
Yuna felt as if she grabbed a life-saving straw and silently thanked Brian a hundred times in her heart.
Of course, Wesley noticed Yuna's joy. He glanced at her and said, "Wait for me at home. I need to see you here when I come back."
At that time, Yuna could only agree, saying, "I will."
Wesley didn't say anything more. He left the villa to meet Brian.
Yuna looked at Wesley's back, and the smile on her face disappeared little by little.
Wesley still didn't agree with her.
Should she give up or find another way?
As for Wesley, he soon arrived at the apron and found Brian was already in the private plane, reading the company's documents.
Seeing Wesley getting on, Brian reminded him lightly, "You're late."
"Yuna caused some trouble," Wesley sat down and took a sip of tea, "she persuaded me to swap Aunt Iris with her."
Brian browsed through the documents calmly and said, "As long as you don't let her go back, what can she do?"
"..." Wesley didn't say anything.
Brian felt that something was wrong. He closed the file and looked at Wesley, asking, "What are you thinking about?"
After a long time, Wesley looked up and said, "I'm a little worried."
If it was someone else, Brian might not feel anything special.
However, the one in front of him was Wesley, a decisive person.
What made him worried was definitely not ordinary.
