Chapter 915 Ready to Resist the Storm

Wesley had a gloomy look on his handsome face, and his taut jaw showed his murderous intent.

If his anger were to be ignited, there would probably be no signs of lives within a radius of ten kilometers.

The doctor was scared by Wesley's look, but as Yuna's doctor, she had to clearly explain Yuna's condition to Wesley. She had to be responsible for her patient.

The female doctor, who was not young, looked up at Wesley and said, "Mr. Mu, the child is gone. Now, we should do our best for Miss Xu."

"What do you mean?"

Wesley's voice sounded like an icicle which caused the temperature to drop by several degrees.

The doctor resisted the chill and said, "We found that Miss Xu is not in good health. We suggested getting rid of the child as soon as possible so that Miss Xu's health can improve. Mr. Mu, you and Miss Xu are still young. You still have a lot of opportunities."

Wesley narrowed his eyes and said, "Repeat what you just said."

The doctor thought that she had made the first half of her words clear enough, and Wesley probably did not hear the second half clearly.

She took a deep breath and repeated, "Mr. Mu, you and Miss Xu..."

"Shut up!" Wesley interrupted the doctor coldly and cast a freezing glance at her. "It's my child. Without my permission, anyone who dares to deal with him will not survive till the next day!"

Only then did the doctor realize that it was not that Wesley did not hear her clearly, but he was provoked by her suggestion to get rid of the child as soon as possible.

A chill ran down the doctor's spine. She quickly lowered her head and said, "Mr. Mu, I see."

Wesley ordered coldly, "Get out!"

The doctor did not dare to say more and rushed out of the ward as fast as she could.

There were only Yuna and Wesley left in the spacious room now.

Wesley approached Yuna, one step at a time, and suddenly gripped her chin.

His knuckles turned white, which evidently showed how much strength he exerted. Anyone who saw it would probably suspect that he was trying to crush Yuna's chin.

Wesley's voice was no longer as cold and sharp as it had been just now. He just said in disbelief and in great pain, "Yuna, you bought the medicine because you didn't want this child. But you have been back for so long, and I have clearly told you that I want this child. I even want to marry you, but why can't you accept the existence of the child?"

"..." Yuna could not make any sound at all, let alone answer Wesley.

Wesley did not realize he was stopping Yuna from answering. He suddenly tightened his grip and ordered, "Yuna, answer me."

His strength was beyond Yuna's tolerance, so she finally opened her mouth and whimpered, "Ah..."

If it was in the past, Wesley would probably be softhearted.

However, from now on, it would never happen again.

Since Yuna could ruthlessly kill a child, why should he be softhearted toward her?

Yuna closed her eyes and gritted her teeth to hold back the tears that were about to fall.

Wesley firmly believed that she had killed their child, so even if she shed tears, Wesley would not believe her.

Wesley considered Yuna's actions as an evasion tactic, and he sneered and said, "Since you don't want to answer this question, I'll answer for you, okay?"

"..."

Yuna opened her eyes and stared at Wesley, with a look of confusion in her eyes.

"Wesley was not her, so how could he answer this question for her?"

"How did he know what her answer would be?"

Wesley released Yuna's chin, but before Yuna could even take a deep breath, he suddenly grabbed her by the neck.

In an instant, as if something was stuck in her throat, Yuna felt herself on the brink of suffocation. She subconsciously looked at Wesley for help, signaling him to let her go.

What she did not know was that Wesley had already warned himself not to feel any compassion for her.

He did not loosen his grip at all, and questioned her, "Yuna, you never believed me, did you?"

The feeling of suffocation increased. Yuna looked at Wesley, her face racked with pain. She became more confused as if she did not understand what Wesley meant.

Wesley sneered and said, "You always think that I am your grandma's murderer. You never suspected Rowdy, and you have been eager to return to Rowdy since you came to the top of the mountain, so you are unwilling to give birth to my child, right?"

"Oh..."

Yuna protested with difficulty, motioning for Wesley to release her.

As long as Wesley stopped gripping her neck, maybe she could explain it to Wesley clearly.

However, as if he did not see Yuna begging for mercy, Wesley asked angrily, "Yuna, why don't you believe me?"

Yuna shook her head with despair in her eyes.

Wesley thought that the child had no vital signs because of her. He was probably utterly disappointed in her, wasn't he?

At this time, however hard she begged Wesley or wanted to explain it to him, Wesley would not give her a chance.

At that moment, Yuna was even more desperate than she had been when she saw her grandmother's corpse.

Just then, there was a rapid knock on the door, accompanied by Kai's urgent voice. "Brother Wesley, emergency!"

After that, before Wesley could answer, Kai pushed the door open and walked in.

It was early in the morning, so Wesley and Yuna should not be doing something illicit in the ward, right?

When he entered the ward, Kai was dumbfounded

Wesley and Yuna were not doing anything illicit, but what they were doing was much more serious than the former!

Kai threw caution to the winds, rushed forward and removed Wesley's hand, and stood in front of Yuna. "Brother Wesley, what are you doing!"

"Kai," Wesley said imperatively, "get out of my way!"

"No," Kai said as he stood firmly before Yuna, "Brother Wesley, no matter what happened between you and Yuna, there is something more important now. Rowdy sent another email!"

Rowdy's email was often about Iris.

Wesley looked serious and said, "Give me the phone."

Kai directly handed a tablet computer to Wesley, which he carried around with him for convenience.

Wesley logged in to his mailbox and clicked on the first email directly.

This time, Rowdy did not send any photos but sent an audio file as an attachment. Judging from the file format, it should be a recording.

Needless to say, this recording was definitely not pleasant.

However, it was about Aunt Iris.

So Wesley still opened the file and played it.

Rowdy's voice came first. "Uncle Nelson, how is Mrs. Tang?"

After a moment of silence, a slightly old voice sounded. "Rowdy, you'd better send her to the hospital as soon as possible. If it goes on like this, this old lady will die in three days."

"Wesley, did you hear that?" After that, Rowdy slowly said to Wesley, "You only have three days left. Once you missed it, Mrs. Tang will join my father."

This sentence was heard very clearly, and it was not difficult to guess that Rowdy said it directly into the recording device. Therefore, his tone was very threatening.

"Granny Iris, Granny Iris..." Emily's voice was recorded from afar. In his tone, there was a hint of anxiety that did not match his age. "Wake up, wake up, okay?"

Then the recording was over.

Kai's face scrunched up and he said, "Brother Wesley, the situation is really urgent. What should we do?"

It was hard to tell whether Wesley looked anxious or angry. There was a trace of heavy gloom in his dark eyes, and he ordered Kai, "You get out first."

Kai glanced at Yuna. Although he was worried, he did not dare to disobey Wesley's order at this critical moment, so he could only nod and say, "Okay."

After Kai went out, Wesley glanced at Yuna.

Yuna's mind was filled with Uncle Nelson's statement that Aunt Iris could not hold on for more than three days.

At the moment when she heard that, the air rushed into Yuna's lungs. Her breathing became level, and her reasoning also returned.

At present, she had three important things to do.

First, she had to save Iris.

Second, she needed to figure out if the blood clot in her brain affected the result of her pregnancy checkup.

Third, if possible, she hoped that she could keep her illness from Wesley.

Before today, these three things had been impossible. But after Wesley misunderstood her, as long as she did one thing, these three things could happen naturally.

What she needed to do was to let him continue to misunderstand her intentions...

"Yuna, I'll give you a chance to explain everything clearly to me. Maybe I can forgive you."

Wesley said the last sentence very calmly and firmly.

Even though Yuna had done something unforgivable, he still could not bear to do anything harmful to her. He even kept telling himself that Yuna probably had done this for some reason.

As long as Yuna told him the reason.

Even if Yuna's reason was as unforgivable as what she had done, Wesley would still choose to forgive her.

He just wanted Yuna to tell him the truth.

Yuna looked into Wesley's eyes and said, "There's nothing to explain."

Wesley's face instantly clouded. "Yuna, I'll give you one last chance."

"Wesley, there's nothing to explain!" Yuna repeated what she said. "I admit to what you said."

"Yuna, are you courting death?" Wesley grabbed Yuna's collar all of a sudden and roared as if he were threatening his opponent, "I want to hear the truth!"

Yuna gritted her teeth and stopped herself from making any sound.

The child was gone, but Wesley was still willing to give her a chance, which was enough to show that Wesley would not kill her.

As long as she held on, as long as Wesley continued to misunderstand her, Aunt Iris would have a chance to go to the hospital. She could also hide her illness from Wesley and find out if her child was still alive.

If the blood clot indeed affected the result of her pregnancy checkup, she would definitely protect herself and her child.

If the child was really gone, she did not want to live on.

Thinking about it, Yuna closed her eyes, ready to face and resist the storm from Wesley...
