Chapter 935 Another Way of Exercise

Brian sighed in a quiet voice.

Joanne still felt puzzled. "Why did you sigh?"

She had resigned for a long time, but the knowledge that she had worked hard for long to grasp was still kept in her mind. As Brian had said, her plan might not be efficient enough, but there was nothing wrong about it in principle.

Currently, there was no better plan.

In this case, why did Brian still sigh?

Brian touched Joanne's head. "I suddenly have a sense of crisis."

"Why?" Instantly, Joanne's eyes were as sharp and bright as a burning torch. "Are you hiding something from me and afraid that I will find it out?"

"No," Brian said helplessly, "I just suddenly found that my wife is smarter than I thought."

Brian remembered clearly what Joanne had said to Rosalyn in the supermarket yesterday.

"Even without Brian, I am still Joanne, and I will be one of the best medical examiners in the municipal police station. If I am willing to be interviewed and show up in public, I will be known to many people. If I continue to study, it will be very easy for me to be a guest professor at my alma mater and give lectures."

She did not exaggerate at all.

She had once been one of the best medical examiners in the municipal police station. If she hadn't resigned because of pregnancy, she might have gained both fame and fortune today.

Even without Brian as her husband, who was in charge of a business empire, Joanne could still realize her value on another battlefield.

Now, for Brian, for taking care of the two babies, Joanne resigned and stayed at home. But she did not forget her professional knowledge and even learned new things.

Brian suddenly had a feeling that even if Joanne were not Mrs. Lambert, she would create her uniqueness, and she would have her own wonderful stories and get great achievements.

He was not the one who made Joanne become who she was.

On the contrary, Joanne gave him a happy and complete home.

Joanne did not know the string of thoughts in Brian's mind. She only thought that Brian was praising her, and she looked at Brian with a smile. "I thought you had already discovered it."

Because she was happy, her fine and flawless cheeks were light pink and looked particularly attractive.

Brian did not care that they were in the hospital corridor. He grabbed Joanne's shoulders and kissed her on the lips.

Joanne had sharp eyes and noticed that there were doctors and nurses coming and going through the T-junction at the end of the corridor. They obviously recognized her and Brian. They covered their mouths and chuckled. Occasionally, some people would peek at them and whispered something to others around them.

She pushed Brian. "Someone is there."

What Joanne did not know was that her hesitant act could even trigger some things at the bottom of a man's heart.

Brian's eyes darkened, and he stared at Joanne's lips. "It's just a kiss. It's not the department of pediatrics here."

In other words, since there were no minors here, it was okay to kiss her.

When Joanne was wondering when Brian had become so shameless, a big kiss had already arrived. His breath drilled into her nose, trying to occupy all her senses.

Fortunately, Brian did not go too far and released Joanne soon.

Joanne pursed her swollen lips and pulled Brian's sleeves with some embarrassment. "Let's go back to the ward!"

Everyone was still in Iris's ward. The two babies were being respectively held by Wendy and Freya. Aiden was well-behaved and occasionally sucked his fingers. If Freya stopped him, he would obediently put down his hands.

Wendy was playing with Romy, who kept babbling. Her voice sounded happy and excited, probably because there were too many people.

Aiden preferred a quiet place, but Romy was completely different. The more people there were, the happier she was. Just like before, it did not take long for her to get familiar with Emily and behave obediently when staying with him.

At about three o'clock in the afternoon, the nurse came in and reminded Iris that it was time for her to rest.

Although Iris was out of danger, the wounds were all over her body. She became much weaker than before, and the doctor had specially told her to have a good rest.

As soon as the nurse finished speaking, Aiden and Romy yawned.

Iris touched the faces of the two babies and said, "Brian, Joanne, take Aiden and Romy back. Come and see me when you are not busy. I can stay here alone."

For the sake of convenience, the babies really needed to leave the hospital and go home.

Joanne nodded. "Mom, I'll come to see you tomorrow."

"No hurry," Iris said while waving her hand, "and go back to have a good rest. The most important thing is to take care of Aiden and Romy."

Perhaps it was because she had been away from home for too long, when she returned to Prime Villas, Romy completely regarded this place as a strange environment. She hummed in Joanne's arms, looking like she was about to cry.

"Sweetheart, be a good girl. We're home. You should be obedient."

Joanne patiently coaxed the little girl in a very gentle voice. However, the little girl burst into tears.

"..."

Joanne was a little confused.

Although Romy was a little more difficult to handle than Aiden, she was not an unreasonable child. It was rare for her to cry like this for no reason.

Unless she felt insecure.

Joanne called Brian over and said, "I'll leave Romy to you."

Her experience told her that Romy would feel more secure in Brian's arms.

When she lay in her father's arms, Romy only stopped crying for a moment, and soon burst into tears again. Half of her face was buried in Brian's arms, and a few drops of tears wet Brian's clothes on his chest.

Brian had never encountered such a situation. He wiped away the tears on his daughter's face. "Tell me, what's wrong? Why are you crying, huh?"

Of course, Romy could not say it out loud. She just cried even harder.

Brian tried his best, but he still could not make the little girl calm down. He could only look at Joanne for help.

Joanne shrugged and said, "When she cries fiercely, it's always you who quiet her down. If you don't have a way, I don't have a way either."

"There's only one way to go." Brian touched Romy's little face. "If this way doesn't work, I can't do anything else."

Joanne was curious. "What's your last way? Show me."

Brian placed Romy beside Aiden and put the two babies' hands together. Aiden naturally took Romy's hand and tilted his head to look at his younger sister.

Romy seemed to feel her brother's gaze. She also tilted her head to look at him, then grinned, and finally stopped crying.

Seeing this, Martha couldn't help smiling. "It's said that twins are like this."

Joanne suddenly understood that Romy felt insecure not because of the environment, but because she did not feel her brother's existence.

Before they were born, they had been dependent on each other in Joanne's belly for nearly ten months, and they had gotten used to living together.

Romy was afraid of being separated from her brother. No matter where she was, she only felt secure after feeling her brother's existence.

In fact, the little girl did not need to cry at all. As long as she and Brian were there, the two little guys would not be separated.

Simon came down with two bottles of milk and fed the two little guys.

After drinking the milk, the two little guys fell asleep obediently. Brian and Joanne carried them back to their children's room.

After settling down the twins, Brian took Joanne back to the room and went straight into the fitting room.

Joanne and Brian had had a sweet and hot memory here.

Joanne hid the subtle change in her emotions and asked Brian, "Why did you take me to the cloakroom? Is there anything here?"

Brian opened the wardrobe and asked Joanne, "Which one do you like?"

Joanne's fitness wear and yoga wear hung in a medium-sized compartment.

Only then did Joanne remember that Brian had mentioned taking her to exercise.

Brian was actually serious!

She did not want to take exercise of the same intensity as Brian did!

"None!"

Joanne had no time to care if she was obviously lying or not. She just wanted to escape now.

Brian raised his eyebrows. "It doesn't matter. I know your favorite sports brand. Shall I ask them to send all the new products here?"

"..." Joanne bit her lip and did not speak.

Brian asked unhurriedly, "What's wrong? Do you have any other questions?"

Joanne glanced at Brian and lowered her voice. "You dislike me, don't you?"

This answer was obviously beyond Brian's expectation. He frowned and asked, "Why do you think so?"

"You must think that I'm out of shape after delivery, so you asked me to exercise!" Joanne took a step forward and got close to Brian. "To be honest, what do you dislike about my figure now?"

Brian looked Joanne up and down as if he was measuring her figure with his eyes.

Joanne was angry, and her cheeks bulged. "You're really looking at me! Are you thinking about what you dislike about my figure?"

Brian neither admitted nor denied it. "I don't remember."

In other words, he really started to be dissatisfied with her figure, but he did not remember what exactly he was dissatisfied with about her figure.

Joanne gritted her teeth and looked at Brian with grievance.

Brian suddenly wrapped his arms around Joanne's waist, pulled her into his arms, and quickly took off her coat.

Joanne pushed Brian slightly reluctantly. "What are you doing?"

"Why does he get close to me since he dislikes me?"

"I want to check again to see what I am dissatisfied with about your figure. Then I can answer your question."

While speaking, Brian pulled down Joanne's sweater, and her shoulders, as well as the red marks on them, were exposed to the warm air from the central heating.

Brian lowered his head, and with his lips and tongue touching the red marks, he sucked them hard.

Joanne felt as if something had drilled into her body, and she shivered all over and fell into Brian's arms. She gradually lost her mind...

Originally, Brian did want to take Joanne to exercise.

He did not expect Joanne to let her imagination run wild.

In this case, it was a good idea to exercise in another way Joanne would not resist. Also, he could make up for his regret in the morning...
