Mu.
It was Boss Hayes's surname!
If Dr. Roberts had really been in contact with Yuna, it was definitely not a coincidence that Wesley's surname appeared on Dr. Roberts's desk!
Maybe, this clue could reveal whether Yuna was hiding a secret from them or not!
Wendy felt her outstanding memory could play a role.
Wendy recalled the four figures she had just seen, which were the same as the last four figures of Wesley's phone number.
Before she came to the hospital, Joanne deliberately gave her Wesley's phone number. She could not have remembered it wrongly!
"Is Boss Hayes's phone number on the note?"
Wendy thought that even if she had to take a risk, she had to verify it!
If it was, it must have been left by Yuna.
As for the reason why Yuna left Wesley's contact information to Dr. Roberts, it was simple. She might need Dr. Roberts to help to contact Wesley in the future.
If Yuna really believed that Wesley was Granny Wallace's murderer, she would only try her best to kill him. How could she still want to contact Wesley?
Wendy felt as if something was boiling in her heart and she could burst into flames at any moment.
She craned her neck as she tried to read all the contents on the note clearly.
However, before she could get a clearer look at it, Dr. Roberts suddenly took a folder and covered the note.
Wendy was speechless.
"Damn, no!"
All doctors were very careful, so Dr. Roberts had noticed Wendy's furtive glances at the file.
Dr. Roberts could not be sure whether Wendy was on Rowdy's side or on Yuna's side, so she certainly could not let Wendy know that Yuna had left a man's contact information here.
Dr. Roberts sat down calmly and said, "Miss Moore, if you have any questions, feel free to ask."
Wendy was concentrating on the note. She touched her neck and asked casually, "Dr. Roberts, how can I get pregnant?"
Dr. Roberts smiled and said, "Miss Moore, you are also a doctor. Are you sure you want me to answer this question?"
Wendy suddenly realized that she had raised a stupid question. She waved her hand and explained, "No, no, I didn't mean that. I just want to know how to get pregnant as soon as possible!"
Dr. Roberts reminded her indirectly, "Miss Moore, you are still very young."
"I know," Wendy said with a smile, "and I just think it's fun to be a mother, so I want to give it a try."
Dr. Roberts could only sigh silently. Children who grew up in wealthy families were indeed wayward.
Once her child was born, she would really become a mother. It was more than "a try."
However, the president had told her that Wendy was a VIP. No matter how strange her question was, Dr. Roberts could only answer it seriously.
As a doctor in the department of gynecology and obstetrics, Dr. Roberts was very calm as she explained the conditions and process of pregnancy. When it came to some sensitive words, she said them normally as if she was talking about eating and drinking.
When she heard that, Wendy could not wait to cover her face and suppress the blushes on her face.
Damn, if she had known that Dr. Roberts would be so explicit about sex, she would have picked another question!
Then Wendy changed the topic and tried to get some information from Dr. Roberts.
However, no matter how subtle her questions were, Dr. Roberts's answers were flawless, and she did not mention Yuna or Rowdy at all.
For a few moments, Wendy was almost about to ask directly where Dr. Roberts had gone and why she asked for leave while Yuna was at the top of the mountain.
In the end, in order to avoid scaring Dr. Roberts, Wendy held back her inner demons.
More than half an hour later, Dr. Roberts took a look at her watch and said politely, "Miss Moore, do you have any other questions? If not, I will start to see my outpatients in the afternoon."
Seemingly, Wendy came here for a consultation, so she was too embarrassed to stay too long. After expressing her gratitude to Dr. Roberts, she left the hospital and went straight to Prime Villas.
At about six o'clock, Brian and Joanne came back from work.
Seeing Wendy, Joanne was not surprised and asked directly, "How was it? Did you get any useful information?"
"Yes, but I'm not sure." Wendy sounded a little uncertain. "According to Dr. Roberts's performance, she seemed very skilled in erasing the checkup records. So, your suspicion that Dr. Roberts erased Yuna's checkup records makes sense."
"Okay." Joanne nodded and motioned for Wendy to go on. "Anything else?"
"Also, I found something very strange." Wendy looked upset. "I saw a note on Dr. Roberts's desk, where there was a string of figures and a character. Unfortunately, the note was partly covered by a folder. I could only see the last four figures, which were exactly the same as those of Boss Hayes's phone number. Also, the word on it is 'Mu'."
Brian frowned. "Wesley's surname?"
"Yes, it's Boss Hayes's surname," Wendy said, "I tried to get a clearer look at the whole note, but Dr. Roberts noticed that I was staring and covered the note with a folder, which made me so depressed!"
"Don't be depressed now." Joanne then asked, "Did you find anything else?"
"After that, I began to get information from Dr. Roberts, but she was particularly careful. Her answers were all flawless, and I didn't get any useful information." The more Wendy talked, the more frustrated she became. "And, I could feel that Dr. Roberts was on her guard against me. I performed so badly, so Dr. Roberts was suspicious of me!"
Brian smiled. "It doesn't matter. At least, you helped us confirm one thing."
Wendy's eyes lit up. "What's it? How come I don't know?"
"Dr. Roberts should be on Yuna's side." Brian glanced at Joanne and continued, "And, you're right. Yuna is hiding something from us."
Joanne usually had a tacit understanding with Brian, but this time, she did not understand Brian's words. She looked at him blankly. "How can you be so sure?"
Brian said, "Wesley's phone number was given by the operator for free. Its last four figures are auspicious. If the figures Wendy saw are indeed a part of a phone number, and plus Wesley's surname, I can basically be sure that it is Wesley's number."
After a pause, Brian continued to ask, "Do you need me to go on?"
Joanne shook her head and did not hide her admiration. "No, I understand."
Brian touched Joanne's head with appreciation. "Smart."
Wendy saw that they had a tacit understanding and raised her hand, having no time to be envious. "Cousin, Cousin-in-law, I don't understand. Can you explain it to me?"
Joanne smiled and explained to the confused girl, "Let's assume that the number you saw is Wesley's contact information. Think about it, who is more likely to leave Wesley's contact information to Dr. Roberts, Yuna or Rowdy?"
"It must be Yuna!" Wendy said without hesitation, "Rowdy is purely a scumbag. How could he leave Boss Hayes's contact information to Dr. Roberts? He wishes he could hide Dr. Roberts and prevent Boss Hayes from finding out anything about Yuna!"
"..." Joanne smiled and said nothing.
Wendy was enlightened. "If our assumption is true, then we can be sure that Dr. Roberts is on Yuna's side and that Yuna is hiding a secret from us. Otherwise, she wouldn't have left Boss Hayes's contact information to Dr. Roberts!"
"Uh-huh." Joanne agreed with Wendy.
"I'm so great!" Wendy ran over excitedly and clasped Joanne's hand. "I was very disappointed when I came back, for I felt that I didn't get any useful information today. I didn't expect to catch a giant whale! Cousin, I want to eat soup dumplings to celebrate!"
Wendy had always been like this. She would even be very satisfied with any small thing.
She was simply a role model for contentment and happiness.
Joanne smiled. "I'll make steamed stuffed buns for you, besides soup dumplings."
After her meal, Wendy played with Aiden and Romy for half an hour and then said she would go back to the hospital.
Joanne knew that she was worried about Gavin, so she did not ask her to stay. She went into the kitchen and took out two thermal lunchboxes. "One is for Gavin, and the other is for Romy's grandmother."
"No problem!"
Wendy carried the two lunchboxes and bounced out with undisguised excitement and satisfaction on her face.
Joanne sent her to the gate.
When she was about to get in the car, Wendy suddenly remembered something and asked, "Cousin, how can we be sure that it is Boss Hayes's contact information on Dr. Roberts's note?"
If they could not be sure about that, then all of their assumptions would fall through and they would be happy for nothing.
"Well, let's leave it to your cousin-in-law," Joanne said firmly, "and he will find a way."
Wendy thought for a moment and certainly agreed with Joanne. Then she got in the car and left.
After returning to the hospital, Wendy first gave the soup to Iris and chatted with her for a while. Iris could easily sense her agitation. She said with a smile, "I can do it alone. Go back and rest early."
Wendy almost rushed upstairs. She pushed open the door of the ward but did not see Gavin.
She felt a chill run through her body and ran out to find the nurse. "Where is Gavin? Is he feeling bad?"
Gavin had fainted several times, which left Wendy with serious psychological trauma. She often felt that Gavin was sent to the emergency room again.
"Special Assistant Gavin?" The nurse was confused. "No, the nurse at the service desk didn't see him come out. He should still be in the ward."
Wendy ran back, pushed the door open, and saw Gavin coming out of the bathroom.
He was fine.
Wendy's eyes reddened and she rushed over to hug Gavin.
Gavin was stunned for a moment and almost subconsciously hugged Wendy. "Are you asking me to comfort you after ruining everything?"
The nurse behind them smiled and explained on behalf of Wendy, "Special Assistant Gavin, Miss Moore didn't see you when she came back. She thought that something had happened to you and became anxious."
After that, the nurse considerately walked out and closed the ward door for them.
Gavin touched Wendy's head, feeling sorry and helpless at the same time. "Silly girl, I'm fine. Don't worry."
Wendy closed her eyes and forced back her tears. Then she pushed Gavin away and said, "What are you doing in the bathroom? Didn't you see me when I came back?"
Gavin was speechless.
Seeing that Gavin was silent, Wendy asked even more bluntly, "Gavin, were you doing something unspeakable inside?"
