Chapter 954 Tonight, There Will Be a Good Show

After the treatment, doctors had been keeping an eye on Gavin's condition in real time. Henry and Noah received the news that Gavin had woken up as soon as possible.

As soon as Wendy finished speaking, they pushed the door open and rushed in.

Wendy knew that they were going to examine Gavin, so she immediately got out of the way.

Henry and Noah were busy for a while. Finally, Henry let out a long sigh of relief. "We can send Gavin back to the ordinary ward."

Wendy became conflicted again. She was worried that the general ward couldn't provide good protection for Gavin, so she couldn't help confirming with Henry. "Will it have any bad effect?"

Henry smiled. "Gavin has woken up, which means that the treatment is successful. Don't worry. Take him back to the room with the nurse."

Gavin's last treatment was successful!

The weight on her mind and her exhaustion disappeared in an instant, an unconcealable joy welling up in her eyes.

She nodded and followed the nurse to send Gavin back to the suite.

Morning represented a brand new beginning.

If Gavin woke up at this time, did it mean that from this moment on, his life would have a new beginning?

Back at the door of the ward, Wendy remembered that she should tell Brian and the others that Gavin had woken up.

She didn't have time to notify them one by one. She directly sent a message in the group chat, saying that Gavin woke up and then rushed into the ward.

Noah just came out. He quickly stopped Wendy and reminded her. "Gavin just woke up and needs rest."

"I know!" Wendy smiled. In the end, she suddenly realized that Noah was hinting at something. She pursed her lips with dissatisfaction and said, "Do I look like I will pester Gavin and not let him rest?"

"No." Noah paused for half a second and continued, "You look like you'll cry so much that he can't get any peace."

The other doctors and nurses happened to come out at that time, inevitably heard Noah's words, and burst into laughter.

Obviously, everyone agreed with Noah and followed suit to make fun of Wendy.

In this round, Noah won completely.

Noah left arrogantly with the group of medical staff.

Wendy gritted her teeth and silently remembered it in her heart.

When she brought Hazel to Noah, she wanted to see if Noah could still smile so happily!

As for now, of course, the most important one was Gavin!

Wendy ran back to the ward quickly, threw herself on the edge of the bed, and looked at Gavin without blinking. It seemed that as long as she blinked, Gavin would disappear from the suite.

Gavin raised his hand and stroked Wendy's face. "Didn't you sleep last night?"

Even if Wendy put on makeup, he could still see her exhaustion.

"I did!" Wendy grabbed Gavin's hand. "By the way, Boss Hayes is really a good friend. I was sleeping, but he stayed up with you all night!"

Gavin frowned. "Where did you sleep?"

"On the sofa in the corridor of the intensive care unit!" After a pause, Wendy added, "Boss Hayes is sitting next to me, working overtime all night on his laptop."

Gavin frowned even more. "Why didn't Wesley tell you to go back to your room to sleep?"

Wendy thought for a moment and found an excuse for Wesley. "Boss Emilyst know that even if he had woken me up, I wouldn't have been willing to go back to my room."

Gavin didn't know what to say.

Wendy smiled, took Gavin's hand, and asked, "Are you hungry? I'll send for some food. Do you want porridge?"

Gavin closed his eyes and answered with a "hmm", looking weak.

Wendy pretended not to see Gavin's weakness. She bent down and kissed him on the face. "Wait for me."

She dialed Joanne's number. Joanne said that the porridge was almost ready and would be sent over in ten minutes.

"Okay, I'll be waiting."

Wendy hung up, turned around, and smiled at Gavin. "We'll have porridge in 40 minutes."

Gavin took Wendy to sit down, put her hand in his palm, and stroked it carefully. "Were you worried yesterday?"

Wendy didn't hide or conceal it and admitted it directly. "Yes, I was!"

After a pause, she began to get into details. "Actually, what I said before you entered the operating room was not true. Before I fell in love, I really considered my cousin and cousin-in-law an ideal couple. But after I met you, and that just doesn't exist anymore. You're the one I love!"

Gavin raised the corner of his mouth, closed his eyes, and lowered his voice a little. "What else?"

"And..."

Wendy began to talk about some trivial things. They were unimportant but heart-warming. When he heard about them, he found they were all the good little things in life.

She was so focused on talking that she didn't notice that Gavin had closed his eyes. It wasn't until she found that Gavin didn't respond that she suddenly realized it.

Gavin's handsome face was pale, his body temperature was frighteningly cold, and his breathing was so weak that it was almost undetectable. At one glance, he seemed to have no signs of life.

Wendy suddenly felt a chill all over her body and confirmed Gavin's vital signs. Fortunately, his heart was still beating. He should have just fallen asleep.

She heaved a sigh of relief and pretended to end the conversation naturally. "You must be tired. Go to sleep. I'll be here with you."

As long as Gavin was alive, as long as he would wake up, she could accompany him like this forever and never get tired of him.

Wendy tucked Gavin in and held one of his hands to sit on the edge of the bed, staring at him without blinking.

Forty minutes later, Simon brought the porridge over, but Gavin was still asleep. Wendy could only put the porridge in the kitchen.

Iris came up in her wheelchair. Seeing this, she couldn't help saying, "Wendy, if Gavin hasn't woken up yet, you should have some first."

"Aunt Iris, I'm not hungry." Wendy smiled. "I'll eat with Gavin when he wakes up."

Iris had also been young, so she naturally knew Wendy's obsession.

When the doctor told her that Brian's father had died despite rescue efforts, she did not eat or drink for a whole day, thinking that she would have dinner when her husband came back.

They had agreed to have dinner together forever.

Of course, Brian's father never returned.

Hopefully, Wendy wouldn't have to suffer this kind of blow and pain.

Gavin slept until noon. When he opened his eyes, it was bright outside with white snow.

Wendy liked the snow and walking around everywhere, but she had been staying by the bed all the time. It could be seen that she hadn't moved at all.

It was really hard on this little girl.

Seeing that Gavin had woken up, Wendy finally felt relieved. She smiled and asked, "Simon has brought the porridge. Aunt Iris has come to see you. Are you hungry now?"

Gavin rubbed Wendy's face. "I'll wash my face first."

"Alright!"

Wendy ran to the dining room, heated the porridge, served two bowls, and washed two spoons. Gavin just finished washing and went out.

After eating the porridge, Wendy washed the bowls neatly and pulled Gavin back to the room. "Lie down."

Gavin lay down and looked at Wendy calmly. "And then?"

Wendy was stunned for a moment before she realized what Gavin meant. She rolled up a thin magazine and knocked on his shoulder. "Then go to sleep. Don't think too much!"

Gavin saw that Wendy was about to get angry, so he lay down. As soon as he tucked himself in, someone knocked on the door.

Wendy answered casually, "Come in."

Wesley pushed the door open and came in. When he saw Gavin, he asked directly, "How do you feel?"

"Okay. Nothing special." Gavin looked at the time. It should be the busiest time for Wesley at noon. He couldn't help feeling a little confused. "Why do you have time to come here?"

"I was just passing by. So I thought I'd drop by," Wesley said. "I don't have time to come over tonight."

Gavin gave Wesley a meaningful look. "You have an appointment tonight?"

Wesley gave Gavin a look that said "get lost". "I'm going to a charity party."

"That's something new," Gavin said. "Wesley, you've never been interested in such galas. What's so special about this gala that you have to go?"

Wesley looked Gavin up and down and changed the topic. "It seems that Henry is right. Your treatment went really well."

Gavin provoked. "What? You want to celebrate for me?"

"It's not that easy," Wesley said. "If you want to celebrate, wait until you're discharged."

How could Gavin not understand? Wesley just wanted him to get better.

He smiled and said, "I think you can start planning now."

In other words, he would definitely recover and leave this hospital.

Wesley smiled and said, "Since you're fine, I'll leave first."

As soon as he left, Gavin took out his tablet and checked the invitations for the charity party tonight. Rowdy was also among the guests, as the president of the Scott Group.

If Rowdy showed up, he would definitely meet Wesley.

"Damn, he is going to make trouble."

Wendy saw Gavin with the tablet and snatched it without hesitation. "Have a good rest. No electronic products!"

However, she couldn't help opening the tablet and peeping at what Gavin had just read. When she saw Rowdy's name on the invitation list, she was stunned. "Will Yuna go?"

Gavin smiled and said, "If Yuna also goes, it'll be more exciting."

"It'll indeed be more exciting." Wendy nodded and said firmly, "I bet that Boss Hayes will directly take Yuna back!"

"You still don't know Wesley well enough," Gavin said. "Tonight, if Wesley really meets Yuna face to face, there are only two possibilities-He'll either pretend not to know her, or shoot her."

Wendy trembled all over. "Will he really... kill her?"

"Do you think he won't?" Gavin stroked Wendy's head. "Hey, don't think that Wesley is nice. You will be disappointed."

So many people bet their lives on Wesley. He couldn't be soft-hearted, nor had he been like that.

That night, it would be a great show for both Yuna and Rowdy.
