Chapter 96 Is He Ashamed of My Small Size?

After a careful examination, the doctor told Joanne that the injury on her forehead was not serious, but it was bruised. The injury on her hand was more serious as she sprained her hand slightly, and it would take her about a week to be fully recovered.

Joanne looked into the mirror and found that the bruise on her forehead was so obvious that it was bound to affect her attendance at the anniversary celebration of Lambert Group.

"Dr. Li, is there a medicine that can dissipate blood stasis quickly?" she asked. "It doesn't matter if there are some minor side effects. I have to dissipate the blood stasis on my forehead in the next two days."

"Yes." Dr. Li nodded. "I will prescribe it for you. You can get it from the pharmacy on the first floor."

"Thank you."

Joanne received several prescriptions handed by Dr. Li and asked Freya to go downstairs together. She turned around and found Brian standing at the door. She was surprised and glanced at Freya.

Freya shrugged her shoulders and said, "I didn't call him. I just called your brother and let him punish Ava." She smiled and continued, "Now that Mr. Brian is here, there is nothing that needs my help. I'll go back to the company first."

After saying that, Freya left with the speed of light. Brian walked in and said to Joanne with a commanding tone, "Give me the prescriptions."

Joanne handed the prescriptions to him as she was told and followed him out of the room, but she always kept two or three steps away from him.

After they entered the elevator, the narrow space in it made the atmosphere especially embarrassing. Joanne felt uncomfortable from head to toe and silently moved to a corner while saying, "In fact, you didn't have to bother to come here, Freya..."

"You didn't want to bother me, so, you troubled someone else?" Brian interrupted her coldly. "You hope that Freya can debut quickly. Her instructor arranged a tight schedule for her. You were not just messing up her debut plans by calling her out like that."

Joanne was awkward. She just didn't want to trouble Brian. Why the things became that she made a big mistake to delay Freya's plan?

"I'm sorry..." She lowered her head. "I'm not..."

Brian frowned his eyebrows, and his tone was more coldly than before. "Enough!"

Joanne took a deep breath and tried to suppress her restlessness and anger. It was the second time that Brian had roared at her. If he roared at her again, she would definitely fight back.

However, Brian did not say anything more since she did not speak. He bought the medicine for her and took her out of the hospital.

She didn't know whether it was because he was very anxious when he arrived at the hospital that he parked his car at the door of the hospital illegally. He opened the door at the side of the passenger's seat and looked at Joanne. "Get on the car."

"I will just take a taxi back." Joanne always remembered that he was very busy and she did not want to bother him. "You can go back to the company."

Brian narrowed his eyes and said again, "Get on the car. Don't let me repeat it again."

There seemed to be a cold light to his eyes, and Joanne felt something cold on her back. She obeyed and sat down on the passenger's seat.

Brian started the car and stared coldly at the road ahead, and there was a hint of danger in his tone as he spoke. "How did Ava collide with you?"

"Huh? Why didn't he ask why Ava hit her? How could he be sure that it was not her fault?"

"Let it be since he didn't ask." Joanne told him how Ava had driven her Lamborghini and crashed her when she had just got on the car. After saying that, she stared at Brian's side face C

"Got it."

Brian's response was very cold. It seemed that he just asked her casually instead of really caring about her.

Joanne felt frustrated, and she turned her head to look out of the window. "Ava is Rosalyn's intimate friend, how could Brian punish her because of me? I should have thought of it."

But... It didn't mean she wouldn't punish Ava. If she hadn't been so lucky in the car, she wouldn't have only hit her forehead and sprained her hand.

For verbal provocations, she could turn a deaf ear to deal with it in a good mood, but, she would never let off anyone who had deliberately hurt her.

When they got home, neither of them had thought that Iris would be there.

Yesterday, Brian told Iris that he would bring Joanne to the Orchid Gardens the next day. She thought that it would be too tired for them to go to her house and back and that she had not come to their house for some days, so, she came here today, but she had not expected that Brian would come back with the injured Joanne.

"Joanne, what happened to you?" She scrambled up from the sofa. "Brian, what's the matter?"

"Mom, it's not his business." Joanne felt that Iris was about to get angry. She immediately came to Iris and told her how she got injured briefly. She said that she forgot to wear the seat belt and didn't mention any word about Ava.

But it was not easy to convince Iris, and she immediately asked. "Who crashed your car?"

When Joanne still hesitated to tell the truth, Brian had come over and chimed in, "It's the youngest daughter of the Bennett Family. Mom, I will deal with it, don't worry."

Joanne also took Iris's hands to sit down and smiled. "Mom, don't worry about me. I just sprained my hand without breaking any bones."

"Okay, I'm not worried, but my heart aches for you." Iris stroked the bruise on Joanne's forehead. Then she saw the medicine bag in Brian's hand and said, "Brian, you should apply the medicine for Joanne's bruise first."

Brian answered and said to Joanne, "Joanne, go back to our room."

"Why we have to go back to our room to apply the medicine for me?"

Although she was confused, Joanne still followed Brian upstairs obediently. She subconsciously wanted to open the door of her room and go in, but Brian held her hands and pulled her into his room.

Right, Iris was downstairs, so, she couldn't go back to her room.

"I'm sorry." She apologized and bowed her head. "I forgot..."

"Bring some of your clothes and supplies here," Brian said.

Joanne was full of confusion. "Why?"

"Mom may stay here tonight." Brian did not answer her question but asked, "If mom finds that there is nothing of yours in my room, how will you explain to her?"

""

In other words, she might have to share a bed with Brian that night.

The previous ambiguous and romantic touches from Brian still appeared vividly in her mind. Joanne's brain was disorganized for a while, and her breathing was almost out of control.

Brian narrowed his eyes slightly and asked, "I told you to bring your things here, what were you thinking about?"

"Oh..." Joanne would never tell him the truth. She casually made up an answer. "It's not convenient for me since my hands are injured..."

Brian looked at her swollen right hand and took her to her room. "What do you want to take, just tell me!"

Joanne's eyes are bright-was Brian going to help her? Brian had commanded her for a long time. Now she got the chance to command him!

Oh yeah!

Brian bit his teeth and said, "Joanne, don't look at me like that." He knew what she was thinking about.

Joanne immediately put on a serious expression and said, "Start with the bathroom first."

There was a fresh, bright smell of flowers in her bathroom, but even this could not prevent Brian's face from turning black-she was too cheerful when commanding him.

"First, take the storage basket on the shelf, then-electric toothbrush, all the towels on that shelf, the cleanser next to the mirror, skin freshener, essential oil..."

She commanded Brian from the beginning to the end, and Brian fetched everything she wanted for her. Soon, the storage basket was full of bottles, cans, and towels. Joanne checked the objects in the basket one by one like his superior and nodded with satisfaction. "Okay, we can go to bring my clothes."

She went out, and Brian could only carry the storage basket following with her.

This time, she did not command Brian to fetch things for her but put the clothes she took out on the bed herself. "Help me fold these clothes."

No one had ever ordered Brian to do this kind of thing before. He narrowed his eyes, and Joanne smiled innocently while saying, "I just have one free hand, honey, so, I can't fold my clothes myself."

She did these on purpose because he just yelled at her.

Brian took a deep look at her and bent down to help her fold each piece of her clothes. To her surprise, he really knew how to fold clothes and could fold them neatly and beautifully.

"The articles of daily use and clothes are all packed up, next one is... oh..."

Joanne blushed in front of the wardrobe, and after a while, she began to hem and haw as she spoke. "Okay, you... bring these things to your room first."

The reason of her blush was almost written on her face. Brian raised his lips and said, "Are you sure? Why do I find that there is something not here?"

If he said more directly, Joanne's face would turn extremely red with embarrassment. She looked at him with an embarrassed expression for a long while before turning around and pretending to look for something in the wardrobe. "Yes, there is."

She knew that Brian was deliberate. "Okay, I will take it out, who cares!"

She opened the drawer quickly, took out a set of underclothes, and threw them into the storage basket. "Done."

Brian looked at the clothes she had thrown in. Then he looked at Joanne and lowered his gaze to her chest. He smiled vaguely and left the room.

Joanne was depressed. "His smile... What does it mean? Is he ashamed of my small size?"

"Rogue!"

She hurried to follow Brian to his room. When she closed the door, she grabbed all her clothes and rushed into his cloakroom.

Brian's cloakroom was as big as the bedroom of a normal house. It could be seen that it was designed for two people to use. Brian's clothes were stored on one side and folded and hanging according to the shades of their color, which were neat and pleasing to the eyes.

On the other side of the cloakroom, it was empty, and Joanne gazed at it and was lost in thought.

She didn't know what kind of woman's clothes would be hung on it in the future, but now, she wanted to own it by herself.

Joanne put her clothes into the empty wardrobe, and then she went out of the cloakroom.

"Come here." Brian ordered, and in his hand was the medicine that had been opened.

Joanne walked over and offered her hand. Brian shook the bottle in his hand and sprayed the liquid medicine full of fragrance on her affected area.

The detumescence spray was with color, and soon, Joanne's elbow was painted with the color of yellow, which was in contrast to her white arm.

She almost cried. "It looks so ugly."

Brian put the spray on the table and picked up another medicine. "Raise your head."

The medicine used to dissipate blood stasis was a large medical patch. Joanne's face was small, so, the medicine patch was almost covered half of her forehead, but the cool feeling eased the pain on her forehead quickly.

"Okay." Brian put away the medicine. "Let's go downstairs; we have been upstairs for a long time."

If they did not go downstairs, Iris would misunderstand them. Joanne answered softly and followed him downstairs.
