Chapter 971 Rowdy Doubted Yuna

After dinner, Joanne settled her two babies for the night. Brian was still dealing with some paperwork in the study so she went back to the bedroom and planned to sleep early instead of disturbing Brian.

However, she lay tossing and turning and had not fallen asleep yet when Brian came in.

As soon as Brian lay down, Joanne wriggled into his arms and held him tightly, half of her face buried against his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

Brian stroked Joanne's hair and asked, "Why haven't you slept yet?"

"I'm thinking about Yuna," Joanne was hesitant and perturbed, "If I find out that Yuna was really hiding something bad from us, what should we do?"

"You are only responsible for finding out the truth. If there is really something wrong, Wesley will deal with it." Brian looked at the time and found it was already late, so he pressed Joanne deliberately. "If you don't sleep now, how about we do something interesting?"

Joanne was clear about what the interesting thing was.

If it had been in the past, she would have blushed and avoided him, and in a half-loathing and half-consenting state, would have been conquered by Brian in the end.

However, during this time, what happened between Wesley and Yuna was a reminder to her that it was not easy for two people to be with each other-it took a decade for Brian and her to have this current happy life. But there were many more people who were still experiencing twists and turns in their relationships.

In addition to thankful, she wanted to hold Brian tightly and enjoy the time with him.

Joanne looked up at Brian. Her eyes looked extremely enticing in the dark, which touched Brian's nerves.

Brian's eyes rested on Joanne's lips. Just as he was about to kiss her, Joanne suddenly took the initiative to kiss him.

Joanne was rarely so active.

Surprised for a short while, Brian soon reacted. He wrapped Joanne's mouth, pried open her teeth, and kissed her affectionately.

Joanne suddenly became very bold. She took off Brian's clothes and nestled against him eagerly. It was as if she finally found something warm after walking in the snow for a long time.

However, she was not familiar with how to take the lead in sex. Strong in will but weak in power, she could not help being anxious.

Seeing Joanne's look, Brian kissed her eyes, smiled and held her hand, and said in a hoarse and sexy voice, "Joanne, your hand should be here. Take what you want by yourself."

Joanne wanted to cover her face.

From then on, there was one more sentence that would make her shy-take what you want by yourself.

Joanne blushed and her face felt as if it was on fire.

Brian indulged himself by kissing her flushed cheeks. "Joanne, you took the initiative," he said.

Joanne closed her eyes resignedly-yes, she did.

In this case, she would play all her cards!

Joanne flirted with Brian enthusiastically. Under the cover of the night, she became an alluring elf, completely cooperating with Brian.

In the end, when she lost herself in the process, she suddenly said, "Honey, I love you."

Brian slowed down his out-of-control movements, kissed Joanne's sweaty forehead tenderly and said, "I love you too."

For Brian and Joanne, this night was destined to be romantic and passionate.

But things were different on Rowdy's side.

At the Kent family house, after Rowdy was taken away by the police, the Scott Group blocked the news. Other than knowing that the CEO of the Scott Group was at the police station, the gossipers did not learn much about anything else.

However, some eagle-eyed netizens observed the photos that showed Rowdy being caught and found that it was the policemen from the Economic Criminal Investigation Department who took Rowdy away.

That was to say, Rowdy must be helping in an economic case.

Considering Rowdy's identity as the CEO of the Scott Group, people made a lot of speculations.

The media kept calling the Public Relations Department of the Scott Group who, however, only said perfunctorily that it was not convenient to reveal the details at the moment.

During the 24 hours when Rowdy was detained, the police failed to find any effective evidence and could only release him.

When Rowdy left the police station, he was protected by many bodyguards, which enabled him to get away from the media's siege and return home.

Yuna knew it would not be a peaceful night. So she coaxed Emily to sleep early and sat in the living room, waiting for Rowdy to come back.

A group of subordinates escorted Rowdy back. He looked sullen and terrifying as if he had suddenly been stabbed in the back. Now, he couldn't wait to tear that person apart to vent his hatred.

Milo poured a glass of water and handed it to Rowdy, saying, "Brother Rowdy, calm down."

Rowdy took the glass and held it tightly in his hand. His knuckles were white as if he exerted too much force. "Find out how Wesley collected the evidence!" His voice sounded distorted too.

After that, Rowdy slammed the glass on the table. The water splashed all over the place.

Milo bowed his head and said, "I'll do it right away!"

Rowdy waved his hand to motion for the other subordinates to leave. That left only him and Yuna in the living room.

Only then did Yuna say, "The negotiation with Auston failed. Our opponent is Wesley, and Auston and Wesley seem to be friends. We had no advantage at all."

On the way back from the police station, Milo had already updated Rowdy on the result of the negotiation and that someone had attacked Yuna in the bar.

Rowdy paid no attention to the news about the cooperation with Auston. Instead, he smiled oddly and said, "I heard that Wesley saved you today?"

Yuna always bore in mind that she couldn't show even the tiniest bit of affection for Wesley.

She didn't admit or deny it. Instead, she emphasized her ability, answering, "Because he reacted a little bit faster than me. But, even if he didn't do it, I could still avoid the bullet."

Rowdy gazed at Yuna without speaking.

Yuna asked directly, "What are you suspecting?"

It was hard to tell what Rowdy's look meant. He said intentionally, "Yuna, the more urgent the situation is, the more a person will expose his feelings."

In other words, Wesley still cared about her.

However, Yuna didn't care about it at all. Like an emotionless cold-blooded animal, she responded extremely calmly, "It has nothing to do with me. I didn't force Wesley to save me and I did not appreciate his effort."

"Even so, I still need to confirm something in person."

Rowdy suddenly stood up and walked toward Yuna like a bloodthirsty demon.

Yuna kept telling herself that it was Rowdy who had killed her grandmother. So when they talked face to face, he should be the one who should feel guilty and scared.

She didn't do anything wrong to Rowdy, so she did not need to be afraid of him.

Thinking about it, Yuna's fear and panic gradually eased. She looked into Rowdy's eyes with confusion and asked, "What do you want to confirm?"

"Get up. Follow me to the hospital!"

Rowdy didn't allow Yuna to refuse his request or find any excuse.

Yuna was very alert. She knew that at this time, she could not show any fear or hesitation. Otherwise, Rowdy would be even more suspicious of her.

She should stay calm.

Yuna nodded and said calmly, "Okay, I'll go with you."

Rowdy didn't change his mind even though Yuna agreed to cooperate with him. He asked his driver to prepare the car and took Yuna out.

After getting in the car, Rowdy named a private hospital.

The driver asked doubtfully, "Brother Rowdy, we are not going to the Eighth Hospital?"

"Why are you talking so much nonsense?" Rowdy glared daggers at the driver. "Just go wherever I ask you to. Drive!"

The driver didn't dare to say anything more and started the car quickly.

Yuna sat next to him. Although she didn't say a word, her brain was working fast.

Rowdy was very angry now. This was not the time for her to lose her temper.

If she guessed right, Rowdy wanted to find another hospital to confirm whether her child was dead or not and whether the blood clots in her brain existed.

The blood clots did exist, of course.

What worried Yuna was how to react if, unluckily, her child was found alive.

She had two choices.

First, take a chance on the second test. She could insist that the result was wrong due to the equipment failure in the private hospital. The second examination might produce a different result.

Second, being honest. She would admit that the child was indeed alive, and she lied to Rowdy because she wanted the child.

But no matter which method she used, Rowdy would not trust her anymore, which would put her in danger. If Rowdy found out that she had been searching for evidence of his money laundering business, she would definitely die.

Now, she could only pray for God's intervention so she could deceive Rowdy.

Only in this way could she and her child be safe and her child would have a chance to come to this world.

Rowdy turned to glance at Yuna and found that she was her usual calm self, showing no fear about what would happen next.

However, he learned from this incident not to trust her but trust the examination results only.

In less than half an hour, the car stopped in front of a public hospital. Uncle Nelson came out and led Rowdy and Yuna inside.

Rowdy ordered his subordinates, "Guard the hospital, and remember, I don't want anyone to find out about this."

The subordinates nodded, replying, "Understood."

After entering the hospital, Uncle Nelson said, "Rowdy, I've arranged everything. Who will bring Miss Wallace for the examination? You or me?"

Rowdy glanced at Yuna and said coldly, "You take us there."

This time, he was going to be there the whole time so that Yuna would have no chance to be alone with the doctor.

Uncle Nelson didn't say anything and motioned for Rowdy to follow him.

Rowdy pulled Yuna ahead. His face was dark with anger and he had a murderous look in his eyes. It was as if he could cut a person into pieces in minutes.

Yuna tried her best to keep calm. She walked into the examination room where the equipment was a bit old and cooperated with the doctor to do the pregnancy test.

Some instruments moved over her abdomen and the results gradually came out.

She looked at the ceiling and prayed silently.

Though never being a lucky person, she had not complained about her fate at all.

This time, for the sake of her child, shouldn't the God of Luck help her at least once?
