If Samantha was as powerful as Yuna, it would not be a surprise that Yuna sweated a little in order to fight with her.
However, Wesley remembered clearly that he saw Yuna just standing there calmly, watching as Samantha approached her with a knife.
He couldn't see Yuna's expression clearly from afar.
But Yuna looked like a fool who was not afraid of death and insisted on meeting the sharp knife with her body.
At that moment, Wesley only had one idea in his mind-he couldn't let Samantha hurt Yuna.
There was no special reason. He just wouldn't allow anyone else to hurt Yuna.
Yuna owed him a life, so he needed her to pay back with her own.
Therefore, Yuna's life was his and no one was allowed to hurt Yuna except for him!
In addition, Wesley thought that Yuna was impervious to Samantha's attack because she was sure Samantha was no match for her.
If Yuna could fight like her usual self, it was really impossible for Samantha to hurt her.
But considering Yuna's behavior, maybe she was unable to resist Samantha's attack.
It sounded ridiculous.
How could Yuna who had been so rigidly trained by Rowdy fail to defeat Samantha who only had a knife in her hand?
"Or was Yuna really keeping a secret from them?"
Wesley narrowed his eyes, stared at Yuna and asked, "Yuna, what's wrong with you?"
Yuna was stunned and her heart did a complete somersault.
Since she had already recovered, how could Wesley notice her abnormality when he was so furious?
However, she did not plan to tell him anything, especially about her sickness.
Yuna kept calm and looked into Wesley's eyes and said, "No matter what happens to me, I hope that you can keep Samantha in check. Please make it clear to her that we have nothing to do with each other. Tell her not to treat me as a rival in love anymore. If she dares to hurt me one more time, I won't let her off."
Seeming not to hear Yuna's words, Wesley went closer to her and barked at her, "Answer my question!"
Yuna felt a headache coming on again-how could she forget that Wesley was so difficult to deal with from before?
When she was thinking about how to cope with Wesley, she saw Rowdy and Milo coming out with a group of people with a threatening air about them.
What was worse, Samantha had picked up her knife and wanted to try again.
At first, Yuna found Samantha's behavior a little strange-Wesley was standing in front of her and there was an obstacle behind her. Was Samantha going to rush over first, walk past Wesley, and then stab her in the back?
If that was the case, she was certain that Samantha's actions were just for laughs, today.
But on second thought, Yuna suddenly found something was wrong-Samantha was not targeting her, but... Wesley!
Yuna's face changed. She subconsciously looked at Wesley and shouted out a warning, "Watch out!"
Wesley noticed Samantha's action. He turned around and faced Samantha as he tried to stop her. Unexpectedly, Samantha suddenly dodged him and stabbed the knife at Yuna again.
This time, Samantha aimed at Yuna's lower abdomen.
Yuna swore in her heart. When she was thinking about how to avoid Samantha's knife, Wesley reacted faster than her. He clasped her decisively and stepped aside.
Yuna planned to dodge, too. Wesley's hug helped her avoid Samantha's knife easily. When she realized what had happened, she found she was well shielded in Wesley's arms.
Somehow, Samantha's knife headed toward Wesley.
But Samantha had never thought about hurting Wesley.
She pointed the knife towards Wesley just to test Yuna because she wanted Wesley to see clearly that Yuna didn't care about him at all and could even watch him being attacked.
Samantha didn't expect that her knife was really aimed at Wesley eventually.
But at this time, she couldn't control her strength or take the knife back-
Wesley would inevitably be hurt.
"Brother Wesley, watch out!"
A subordinate pulled out the anesthetic gun and aimed it at Samantha's hand, but he failed to shoot at Samantha. Wesley couldn't react in time. Samantha's knife pierced into his waist. Blood gushed out, dyeing his coat dark red.
This was not the result Samantha wanted.
She covered her mouth and cried in fear. She pulled the knife out in panic, but unexpectedly, more blood flowed out...
Looking at the red stains on the blade, Samantha couldn't stop trembling and her eyes reddened. She was lost and did not know what to do.
Yuna also looked at Wesley in shock.
Though he was stabbed by Samantha, Wesley's expression did not change. If she had not seen the blood on the knife, she would have thought that Wesley was not injured at all.
Wesley always had a greater pain tolerance than others. But that was not the point.
The point was why he did that.
On the day when she was in a negotiation with Auston, Wesley saved her from another person's bullet.
Today, Wesley got stabbed in order to protect her.
Wesley had been saying that he would kill her. But in fact, he was reluctant to do so and he even didn't allow anyone to hurt her.
Yuna opened her mouth and wanted to say something. But at this time, Samantha came to her senses and raised her knife to attack Yuna again.
Samantha thought that since she had already hurt Wesley, it was no big deal to add Yuna to the wounded list!
But she didn't know Yuna had been totally irritated.
The angry Yuna was unstoppable.
Yuna raised her leg and kicked Samantha with all her might.
Samantha couldn't take Yuna's attack at all. She screamed and kept stepping back with her knife. In the end, she fell to the ground, but before she could even recover from the pain, she was dragged up by Rowdy.
Rowdy picked up the knife and held it to Samantha's throat. He threatened Wesley, saying, "Let Yuna go! Otherwise, I will kill your little lover!"
As Wesley was injured, he might not be a match for Rowdy. But his subordinate reacted quickly. He grabbed Yuna immediately and pointed his gun at Yuna's head.
Only then did Samantha realize how serious the situation was. She was so frightened that she cried, "Brother Wesley, save me. I want to go back and see my father!"
Since Samantha was elder Mr. Young's only daughter and was taken captive by Rowdy, Wesley would not leave her behind.
Wesley glanced at Yuna, took over the gun from his subordinate, and aimed it at Yuna's head. "Rowdy, if you dare to hurt Samantha, I will use Yuna as a payback."
Rowdy smiled as if he didn't believe Wesley. "Really?" he said.
Yes, he didn't believe Wesley.
Just then, he had seen clearly for himself that Wesley shielded Yuna without any hesitation and was stabbed because of her.
How could Wesley hurt Yuna in order to save Samantha?
Wesley noticed Rowdy's doubts and said in a cold voice, "You can try."
Rowdy moved his hand and nicked Samantha's neck. Wesley, without hesitating for a second, sliced Yuna's neck immediately, which made her bleed more heavily than Samantha.
As he had said, he would let double the price of Yuna's payback.
Rowdy's face darkened and he stopped soon.
The doctor had warned him not to let Yuna get hurt, especially not to let her bleed.
"Wesley, let's do this in a fair way," Rowdy said, "I'll count to three. As long as you let Yuna go, I'll release Samantha."
Wesley pointed his gun at Yuna's head and warned in a cold voice, "Rowdy, if you break your promise again, Yuna will never go back again."
In other words, after he let Yuna go, if Rowdy still held on to Samantha, he would pull the trigger.
Rowdy was anxious to get Yuna back. So he began to count, "Three, two, one."
Wesley pushed Yuna out heartlessly with his gun still aimed at her head.
Rowdy pushed Samantha away and walked over to catch Yuna. Seeing the sweat on her forehead, he frowned and asked with concern, "Are you all right?"
Yuna closed her eyes and whispered, "Let's go!"
Rowdy glared at Wesley and took Yuna away in the car. They soon disappeared from the street where the bar was located.
On the street, Samantha looked at Wesley with a pale face and said, "Brother Wesley, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you. I..."
Wesley looked in the direction where Yuna left and totally ignored Samantha's explanation.
He didn't expect to meet Yuna here today. He knew Rowdy would be there at nine o'clock, so he specially made an appointment with Auston at 10:30.
But just now, he received a text message from Auston, saying Samantha had arrived in advance.
He was worried that Rowdy would discover Samantha's identity and have his eye on her, so he dropped what he was doing and came over.
In the car, he didn't expect to see Samantha rushing toward Yuna with a knife and Yuna staying rooted to the spot, not defending herself at all.
Samantha knew clearly why Yuna was like that.
Wesley interrupted Samantha and said, "Get in the car first."
Samantha was ready to be scolded by Wesley, but... Wesley just asked her to get in the car?
"Did it mean that Wesley did not blame her at all?"
Although Wesley saved Yuna, he treated her well, too. In Wesley's heart, she was equal to Yuna, the undercover agent!
Samantha finally stopped crying and got in the car obediently. "Brother Wesley, let me help you dress your wound," she said.
"No, thank you," Wesley stared at her and said, "Just answer my question."
"Sure," Samantha smiled, "What do you want to know?"
"When you stabbed Yuna with your knife, she didn't avoid your attack." Wesley asked, "Was there anything wrong with her?"
After Yuna left, it was the first time that Wesley had calmly asked her about the incident.
However, Samantha had never expected what Wesley wanted to know from her was related to Yuna.
Samantha felt sad that the reason why Wesley didn't care about her hurting him was not that he did not blame her but that his attention was totally on Yuna
Perhaps, he even forgot about his injury, let alone the trifling fact that she was the one who hurt him...
