Chapter 987 She Had Blood Clots in Her Brain (1)

"OK."

Yuna was very calm, as if she understood why Rowdy wanted her to answer his questions.

Rowdy crossed his fingers and put his elbows on his knees. He bent over slightly and looked at Yuna. "Tell me, why did Samantha want to kill you so badly?"

Yuna tried to restrain herself, but in the end, she still burst into laughter.

Rowdy narrowed his eyes in confusion. "Yuna, what are you laughing at?"

"I didn't expect you to ask this question first." Yuna slowly stopped smiling. "But since you are curious, I'll tell you the answer."

"Uh huh," Rowdy said, "I'm listening."

Yuna said slowly, "If you know Samantha well, you will know that she is a willful, selfish and suspicious person. Besides, her biggest obsession is Wesley. Because I worked undercover for Wesley and became pregnant with his child in the end, Samantha hates me and wants to kill me."

Yuna gave an explanation like an understatement, as if she were just talking about an unimportant matter, instead of a matter related to her life.

Rowdy did not believe Yuna's words unconditionally. He looked at her suspiciously and asked, "Is that all?"

Of course not.

However, Yuna did not intend to tell Rowdy the truth.

Telling Rowdy all the truth was equivalent to planting a seed of doubt in his heart. In the future, anything about her would probably make the seed take root and sprout, which would finally endanger her life.

The present situation was already dangerous enough for her, and she did not want to make things more difficult for herself.

Thinking of that, Yuna looked into Rowdy's eyes and asked instead of answering, "Isn't that enough? Or do you have some doubts in your heart because the answer I gave is not what you expected?!"

Yuna sounded somewhat excited.

The doctor had specially told him that Yuna must not have mood swings, which would affect the stability of the blood clot.

"Yuna, calm down first." Rowdy hurriedly explained, "I'm just used to probing further like this."

Yuna breathed a sigh of relief and nodded. "I know. Ask the second question. You must have other questions for me."

Indeed, Rowdy had another question he was eager to ask.

Rowdy took a deep look at Yuna and said after a while, "Just now, Wesley took the knife for you."

"..." Yuna had long guessed that Rowdy would not ignore it. She did not explain immediately. Instead, she looked at Rowdy for a long time and slowly said, "I'm also surprised at what he did."

In fact, Yuna did not know how to explain it for the time being.

She only knew that at the moment when Wesley took the knife for her, her surprise must have been obvious on her face, and Rowdy must have seen it clearly.

It was useless for her to try to eagerly explain it or deny it.

It was the wisest choice for her to admit the part that she could admit. In this way, it would be easier for her to convince Rowdy.

Rowdy leaned back, stroked his chin with his thumb, and asked meaningfully, "Why do you think Wesley did that?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Yuna sneered disdainfully. "He still can't forget me."

Yuna did not hesitate, nor could she.

Wesley had taken the knife for her, which was too shocking and too suspicious. Her correct reaction was that she had thought about it long ago, instead of thinking about it after Rowdy asked about it.

Now, once she hesitated, it would be more likely to arouse Rowdy's suspicion.

After listening to Yuna's explanation, Rowdy's expression did not change. Yuna knew that it meant that Rowdy was very satisfied with her answer.

Yuna was right. Then, Rowdy asked in a gentler tone, "What are you going to do?"

Yuna shrugged and looked indifferent, as if it had nothing to do with her. "I don't want to do anything about it."

Rowdy stroked his chin again and said in a meaningful tone, "What a pity! You know, Wesley has never had a formal female companion. You are the first woman he cares so much about."

"But, Wesley is my enemy." Yuna's face suddenly clouded, and there was a chill in her eyes. "He clearly knew how important Grandma was to me, but in order to take revenge on me, he killed her. Even if he paid me back with his life, I won't forgive him!"

Yuna's tone was unprecedentedly decisive. Her words were full of long-established hatred, which was enough to make every listener frightened.

Rowdy did not react for a moment and fell into silence.

Yuna looked at Rowdy and sneered in her heart.

She had once thought that Rowdy would never realize that he was the murderer.

Now it seemed that he would also feel guilty.

Had Rowdy ever woken up from a nightmare at midnight?

The deep coldness in her heart spread to Yuna's face. The more she looked cold and indifferent, the firmer her hatred seemed to be.

Rowdy mistakenly thought that Yuna's coldness and hatred at the moment were aimed at Wesley.

He felt a little fortunate about it.

However, the person Yuna should really hate was him.

Rowdy could not imagine how much pain he would feel if Yuna really hated him.

However, he would never let Yuna know the truth. He would make Yuna believe that Wesley was her grandmother's murderer.

Rowdy did not respond for a long time. Yuna called him and asked in a confused tone, "What's wrong with you?"

Rowdy came to his senses and acted as if nothing had happened. He comforted Yuna in a gentle voice. "Yuna, don't think too much. Your health is more important. As for Wesley, we can settle with him sooner or later."

Yuna nodded and firmly said, "OK!"

Rowdy remembered another thing and continued, "You don't have to worry about the blood clots in your brain. I've already asked someone to find a doctor for you."

Yuna's heart skipped a beat. She tried to hide her panic and pretended to be surprised. "Really? Who did you ask for help?"

"My uncle," Rowdy said, "He is in the Golden Triangle with abundant medical resources. If we ask him for help, we can find a better doctor more quickly."

Yuna nodded and said, "Okay, I hope so."

Rowdy got up and went straight to Yuna, exuding an aura of oppression.

Yuna had always been resistant to the person she did not like. When Rowdy approached, she just wanted to escape.

However, once she tried to evade him, she would expose herself.

Yuna was grateful that Rowdy had emphasized the need to hide her inner feelings and act in an extremely realistic manner when he was training her. Thus, she could hide the resistance in her heart now and calmly accept Rowdy's approach.

Rowdy put his hands on Yuna's shoulders, lowered his head, and kissed her forehead. "Yuna, you are ill because of me. From now on, I will take care of you and protect you. So, you don't have to worry about anything. Just stay with me."

Yuna closed her eyes and felt as if she had returned to the past.

If it were two years ago when she did not know Wesley, she would definitely be ecstatic and even hug Rowdy excitedly when she heard what he said.

But now and in the future, it would not happen.

Rowdy had killed her grandmother and even endangered Joanne's life. Now, she just wanted to find evidence of Rowdy's crimes or to shoot him in the heart.

Of course, it was not the right time yet. At this moment, she should still show the reaction Rowdy wanted.

Yuna opened her eyes and looked at Rowdy, with tears in her eyes. "Okay."

"I still have something to do," Rowdy said softly, "go back to your room and have a rest."

"OK."

Yuna nodded, got up and went upstairs.

Emily was still sleeping soundly on the bed. His innocent appearance made her heart soften.

Yuna walked over, lifted the quilt, and lay down beside the little boy.

At this moment, Emily suddenly turned over and murmured in his sleep. Then, he lay on his stomach like a sleeping bear.

Yuna smiled and shifted the little boy's posture. She carefully tucked him in and then lay down to sleep.

However, Rowdy's voice came to her mind like a devil's voice. She could not fall asleep at all.

"We will be able to find a better doctor more quickly."

Rowdy was very excited, but it was not good news for Yuna.

The faster Larry found a doctor for her, the earlier she would be exposed, and the greater the crisis she would face.

If she was in a better condition, she would have to continue to search for evidence of Rowdy's crimes.

In the current situation, she could not afford to delay any longer.

When she thought of this, Yuna almost could not help thinking of Wesley.

"What was Wesley doing at this time?"

"Hmm..."

Emily suddenly stretched himself and opened his eyes in his sleep, and saw that Yuna had woken up. After a long time, he came to his senses and asked, "Auntie Yuna, why didn't you sleep?"

"I slept." In order not to let the little boy worry, Yuna touched his head and said, "It's not that I didn't sleep, but that I slept for a shorter time than you."

Emily rubbed his eyes and said, "Okay." As soon as he finished speaking, his stomach growled. The little boy touched it and looked at Yuna with grievance. "Auntie Yuna, I'm hungry."

Yuna lifted the quilt off the little boy and said, "Get up. Let's eat."

Emily was really hungry. He grabbed the spoon and kept eating. Even Yuna could hardly keep up with him as he gobbled down his food.

More than half of the three dishes and one soup had been eaten by Emily.

After finishing the last mouthful of rice in the bowl, Emily looked up and sighed with satisfaction. "I'm full!"

"Great!" Then, Yuna wiped the little boy's mouth and said, "Let's take a walk. I have something to tell you, okay?"
