"Okay! I'll listen to whatever you want to say!"
Emily slid off the chair nimbly like a little monkey. Suddenly, he noticed that Yuna did not touch her rice at all, and his expression turned serious immediately. "Auntie Yuna, how come you're not eating?"
Yuna had no appetite and said honestly, "I'm not hungry."
Emily tilted his head and thought for a moment. Finally, he remembered what Yuna had once said. "When I was sick, you told me that the sick are even more in need of food, and that if I didn't eat any food, I would not be an obedient child. Aren't you being disobedient now?"
"..." Yuna finally knew what it meant to stew in her own juice, and she was speechless.
Emily brought a cup of soup to Yuna and said, "You don't have to eat, but you have to drink it!"
The little boy just vaguely remembered that Joanne had always asked Yuna to drink soup at the top of the mountain, so he subconsciously thought that soup was good for Yuna.
Yuna had no choice but to compromise. "Well, I'll drink it."
She sat down, lifted the white porcelain lid, and drank the soup slowly.
She did not have much time to make Emily happy, so she would agree to any of his request.
"Good girl!"
Emily imitated Yuna's usual tone and stood aside watching Yuna drink the soup.
After drinking the soup, Yuna felt that she had almost recovered. She asked Emily, "Is that all right now?"
"Well," Emily pursed his small lips and said reluctantly, "Sixty points for you at most!"
"Thank you. I'm very satisfied with the score." Yuna took the little boy's hand and asked, "Can we go now?"
"Yes!"
Emily grabbed Yuna's hand tightly and was about to run out as usual. If it were in the past, Yuna could definitely keep up with him, and they would laugh and run out together.
This time, before Emily took a step forward, he remembered that Yuna was not feeling well. His entire body froze as if someone hit the pause button on him. He tilted his head to look at Yuna and said, "We are going for a walk, so we should walk slowly."
Yuna knew that the little boy cared about her health, so she caressed his head with a smile, took him out, and they went for an evening walk.
While Emily and Yuna were taking a walk, Wesley and Joanne finally learned of the whereabouts of Dr. Roberts.
In the private hospital.
Dr. Roberts had suddenly submitted her resignation, so she could not be found in the Eighth Hospital. Wesley had to send out some people to find her through other channels.
While waiting, Joanne said, "Wesley, let's have lunch first."
Wesley had no appetite, but he could not let Joanne starve. Otherwise, Brian, who was henpecked, would definitely come to take her home.
He nodded, asked Joanne what she would like to eat, and ordered someone to bring the food over.
During the meal, Wesley paused very often while eating and he was frequently absent-minded.
Joanne did not say anything, nor did she comfort Wesley.
She knew that Wesley was worried about Yuna. She knew better than anyone what Wesley was feeling at the moment, and any comforting words were too pallid to be of any use.
The only thing that could comfort Wesley now was to bring Yuna back.
Not long after the meal, one of Wesley's men rushed back.
Wesley suddenly stood up with a rare look of anxiety on his face. "Any news?"
The man scratched his head and looked as if he wanted to say something but did not know what to say.
Wesley was not patient enough when it came to Yuna. He shouted, "Say it!"
The man finally said, "Brother Wesley, actually... we've been wasting our time."
"What do you mean?" Wesley's pupils suddenly contracted and darkened. "What happened to Dr. Roberts?"
According to Rowdy's way of doing things, it was indeed possible for him to kill Dr. Roberts to get rid of the problem forever, even if Yuna tried to stop him.
"Dr. Roberts is fine, and-" the man said while pointing to the outside of the ward, "she is near us, for she is in the hospital."
Wesley narrowed his eyes, and his voice was as cold and hard as ice. "Don't talk nonsense!"
"I have a question." Joanne looked at the man and asked, "Is Dr. Roberts staying with Hazel, who is a member of Gavin's medical team?"
Joanne spoke slowly, and her voice was very gentle and pleasant. In addition, she had a pair of clean and bright peach-blossom eyes. Therefore, even without acting coquettishly, she exuded a lot of charm.
When the man looked into Joanne's eyes, he blushed immediately. He looked away in a hurry and nodded. "Yes." After a pause, he suddenly realized that something was wrong. "Mrs. Lambert, how did you know?"
Wesley also looked confused.
He knew that Joanne was good at figuring things out, but he never knew that she had the power of precognition.
Joanne honestly said, "We found out that Dr. Roberts is Hazel's aunt, and they are relatives."
"Hazel?" Wesley repeated the name. Thinking of Noah, who was also a core member of Gavin's medical team, he had an ambiguous look.
Joanne thought for a moment and said, "Or, shall we ask Dr. Sanchez to find Hazel and figure out the situation first?"
"No." Wesley ordered the man, "Bring Dr. Roberts and Hazel here."
The man did not understand why Wesley wanted to do this, but he did not dare to ask. He nodded and quickly left the ward.
Joanne gritted her teeth and thought for a moment. She could not figure it out no matter how hard she tried. She gave in to curiosity and asked, "Wesley, why would you want to bring Hazel here too?"
She had checked and found that Hazel had nothing to do with Yuna, and that they would not get valuable information from Hazel at all.
Wesley sneered slightly and said meaningfully, "I heard from Brian that you like to be a spectator, and I'll let you be one later."
Joanne vaguely understood what Wesley was going to do and sighed in her heart, "He is too scheming."
Not long after, Dr. Roberts and Hazel were brought over.
Hazel did not know what had happened, so she subconsciously protected Dr. Roberts and looked at Joanne and Wesley warily. "Mrs. Lambert, what's the matter?"
"Take it easy." Joanne smiled and nodded. "I have some questions for you."
"I can understand why you have questions for me." Hazel looked at Dr. Roberts and asked, "But why did you have to bring my aunt here?"
"Doctor Baker, you misunderstood," Joanne said, "In fact, we have some questions for Dr. Roberts."
"But you got swept up in it."
"Is it because I let my aunt stay in the hospital without permission?" Hazel calmly found an excuse. "It's boring for me to stay alone in the hospital, so I asked my aunt to stay with me for a few days. If you don't allow it, I can let my aunt leave here."
Joanne thought for a moment and decided not to explain to Hazel for the time being. She looked at Dr. Roberts and asked, "Dr. Roberts, you were a doctor from the department of gynaecology and obstetrics of the Eighth Hospital. You did the pregnancy checkups for Yuna, didn't you?"
"..." Dr. Roberts looked at Joanne warily and did not know whether to admit it or not.
Joanne did not wait for her answer and directly introduced Wesley to her. "This gentleman's surname is Mu, and he is the biological father of Yuna's child."
"Mu, the father of Yuna's child?"
Dr. Roberts's eyes widened and she looked at Wesley in disbelief. She exclaimed almost reflexively, "Are you Mr. Mu?"
She would always remember that after her sudden and short disappearance, Yuna suddenly came back to her. She left a phone number, wrote the word "Mu" beside it, and told her that the man surnamed Mu was the father of her child.
A few days ago, Yuna suddenly contacted her and asked her to go into hiding where no one could find her. She could vaguely guess that something had happened to Yuna.
She found a safe place-the hospital where Hazel was temporarily working.
Hazel told her that this hospital belonged to Lambert Group which had excellent security facilities, so ordinary people would not be allowed in. She had a separate suite in her dormitory, so it would not be a problem for her to stay there for a few days.
During the past few days in the hospital, Dr. Roberts had been pondering if she should contact the man surnamed Mu and tell him that Yuna was in danger.
However, Yuna had specifically told her not to contact that man unless she had no other choice, so she did not call.
Dr. Roberts once wondered what kind of person the man surnamed Mu was like.
She never imagined that it would be this man in front of her.
Wesley had something in common with Rowdy. They seemed to be equally difficult to deal with.
However, Rowdy had an aura of blood and killing, which was terrifying.
As for Wesley, he had an aura of darkness, which made him look like a king from the Dark World, as if he had the power to kill everyone including her.
The biggest difference was that Wesley had a sense of righteousness that Rowdy did not have, which made him trustworthy.
Even so, Dr. Roberts was still not sure that he was indeed the man Yuna had mentioned.
Dr. Roberts thought for a moment, took out her mobile phone, and dialed the number she had recorded.
Very soon, Wesley's cell phone rang.
He was the man Yuna had mentioned!
The shock in Dr. Roberts's eyes faded away, and she let out a long sigh of relief. "It's really you."
Wesley's gaze seemed to be frozen, and his cold voice carried an order that could not be refused. "Please tell me everything you know about Yuna."
For a moment, Dr. Roberts was in a daze. "Too much information. You need to tell me where to start."
Joanne thought for a moment and said, "You saw Yuna for the first time when you did the pregnancy checkup for her, so just start from her pregnancy. In addition, we have a question. Is Yuna... sick?"
When it came to the question, Joanne subconsciously spoke slowly due to her worries.
If Yuna was really sick, it would be a fatal blow to Wesley.
"Oh, yes!" Dr. Roberts suddenly remembered something. She looked at Wesley and said, "Miss Xu has two blood clots in her brain!"
