Chapter 994 I'll Greatly Dote on You

In the Lambert Family's villa, Aiden took a shower, had a full glass of milk, and soon fell asleep.

Romy was in high spirits and had been lying in Brian's arms. As soon as Brian teased her, she would laugh, and her clear and crisp laughter filled the entire living room.

Joanne remembered Brian's schedule today. He still had a video meeting ten minutes later, so she didn't think he would have time to accompany Romy.

She walked over and was about to take Romy away from Brian. Unexpectedly, as soon as she touched the little girl, the little girl pursed her lips and was about to cry. Brian had to continue holding her in his arms. She whined like a spoiled child and grabbed Brian's clothes tightly with her small hands.

Joanne was depressed and looked at Brian with a conflicted look. "What about your meeting?"

"It doesn't matter." Brian stroked his daughter's tender face with a look of affection. "It's just a video meeting. I can hold her in my arms."

"..." Joanne was stunned, and her delicate face was full of disbelief. "Are you... sure?"

Brian was a workaholic, and he never allowed his personal feelings to get involved in work.

But now, he could actually work with Romy in his arms?

Brian raised his eyebrows. "Is there any problem?"

Who would dare to question what Brian was going to do?

Joanne shook her head and said weakly, "No..."

She was just afraid of scaring the other participants.

After all, when he was holding his daughter, Brian was like a completely different person from him at work.

Brian went to the study room on the second floor with Romy in his arms. The video meeting had just begun, and Brian was caught holding something in his arms in the camera.

The other participants were all stunned when they saw this scene. They pointed to what was in Brian's arms on the screen and asked in confusion, "Mr. Brian, what... what is this?"

Brian looked down at the little girl in his arms and slightly raised the corners of his mouth. "My daughter."

This time, what surprised everyone was not what was in Brian's arms, but the smile on Brian's face.

It should be noted that every decision of Brian on business was related to the future of Lambert Group. He had always been serious.

How adorable the little angel in his arms was to make Brian smile like that?

Brian did not care about other people's surprised eyes. He looked at the time displayed on the lower right corner of the computer and said lightly, "I hope to finish the meeting quickly, for my daughter will be unhappy after staying in the same place for too long."

Obviously, Brian's daughter was his treasure. If they dared to make Brian's treasure unhappy, Brian could make them regret being born.

So the others said, "OK."

"No problem."

Brian touched Romy's face and his voice was as gentle as water. "Be good and don't make any noise. I'll play with you after the meeting."

Romy clenched her small fists and replied with a "hmm".

Of course, she was not agreeing to Brian's request, but the little girl's obedient and soft look still filled Brian's heart with tenderness.

The meeting began soon. Unlike before, everyone, including Brian, would frequently divert their attention to the little girl in Brian's arms.

The others were curious.

They were curious about what Brian looked like while holding his daughter, and even more curious about what Brian's and Joanne's daughter looked like.

To their disappointment, Brian had always been paying attention to protecting the little girl. They could only see the back of the little girl, but she was very restless and moved from time to time, making soft and lovely sounds. The sounds melted their hearts, but they could not see the appearance of the little girl, which made them even more unable to wait to see what the girl looked like.

Compared with others, Brian obviously diverted attention to her daughter more frequently. He looked down at the little girl in his arms from time to time, and the sharpness in his eyes and around his eyebrows disappeared, replaced by a rare touch of softness.

However, this did not affect Brian's judgment. His speech at the meeting was still clear and reasonable, and his decisions were still rational and correct.

Romy was active, so not long after Brian held her in the same posture in his arms, she began to protest. She struggled in Brian's arms and hummed from time to time. Her voice sounded extremely aggrieved.

Brian patted the little girl on the shoulder and coaxed her softly, "Good girl, give Papa another 15 minutes."

Romy blinked her eyes and stopped acting willfully. She quieted down and obediently leaned against her father's chest.

Brian looked at the camera and continued the meeting while comforting his daughter.

For the first time, Romy had heard her father talk so much. She opened her eyes curiously and stared at Brian.

In less than five minutes, the little girl was sleepy. She yawned, rubbed herself against Brian's chest, and closed her eyes lazily like a little bear.

Upon noticing that the little girl quieted down, Brian looked down. Sure enough, she was asleep.

He smiled and wrapped the cashmere blanket around the little girl to prevent her from catching a cold.

Fifteen minutes later, the video meeting ended. Brian returned to the children's room with Romy in his arms and carefully settled the little girl down. When he was about to leave, the little girl suddenly opened her eyes and saw that Brian was about to leave. She hummed with grievance, with tears in her black and bright eyes.

Brian touched Romy's little face and coaxed her, but the little girl still did not intend to stop crying.

He had no choice but to carry Romy back to his room.

While drying her hair, Joanne came out of the bathroom. She happened to see Brian coming back with Romy in his arms. She was confused and asked, "Hasn't Romy fallen asleep yet?"

"She just slept for a while." Brian looked at his daughter, and his tone sounded somewhat helpless and greatly doting. "She woke up as soon as I put her on the baby bed."

In a trance, Joanne realized that Romy would be stick to Brian tonight.

She looked at Brian with a conflicted look. "Is it good for you to dote on Romy so much?"

She had asked Brian this question more than once, but it seemed that Brian really did not intend to be strict with Romy.

"What's wrong with that?" Brian seemed to take it for granted. "If we give the best to her now, when she grows up, she will not be easily attracted by ordinary men. You're the example."

Joanne was confused. She pointed at herself and asked, "Me?"

"Yes." Brian analyzed seriously. "You knew me when you were ten years old, so you didn't like any other men who later appeared in your life."

The implication was that if Romy was doted on by him since she was a child, when she grew up, she would not be easily attracted by men with ordinary means.

Men should greatly spoil all the ladies in his house!

"..." Joanne was speechless.

Brian put his daughter on the bed and kissed her face lovingly. "Dad is going to take a shower. You wait for Dad to come out."

Romy replied loudly with a "hmm" and raised the corners of her small mouth. When she smiled, she looked like an angel.

Brian's heart softened and he went to take a shower with satisfaction.

Because of Romy, Brian took the shower much faster. When he came out, Joanne was accompanying the little girl.

The little girl was still very energetic and asked Joanne to amuse her. As soon as Joanne stopped, she would cry in protest.

Seeing Brian come out, Joanne suddenly wore a bitter look. "It's all your fault!"

At the beginning of Romy's crying, if Brian had coaxed her to sleep instead of carrying her back to the room, she would have fallen asleep a long time ago.

But now, she needed to try her best to amuse this little girl.

Brian looked at his energetic daughter with a soft smile on his lips. "You go to sleep first. I'll accompany her."

"Well, OK!"

Joanne decisively left her daughter to Brian, turned over and closed her eyes.

Brian lay down on the other side of the bed and made Romy lie between Joanne and him. The little girl looked left at her father and right at her mother, and she laughed happily. Her clean and happy voice was very much like the sound of the best musical instruments.

Perhaps because she found it novel, Romy kept looking left and right, and her laughter became louder and louder.

Brian looked at the little girl helplessly. "Shh-" he whispered, "Mom is sleepy. Let's be quiet, okay?"

"Hmmm..." Romy put her fist in her mouth and looked at Brian innocently, as if she understood.

Aiden liked to eat fingers, while Romy liked to eat her fists.

Unfortunately, neither of them was a good habit, so Brian did not want them to develop them.

Brian removed Romy's hand while talking to her at the same time. The little girl did not protest. She looked at Brian obediently, looking particularly adorable.

"Good girl." Brian stroked his daughter's face and continued to coax her. "Mom is asleep. Let's go to sleep too."

In fact, Joanne was not asleep yet. She opened her eyes and saw Brian holding Romy in his arms, who obediently closed her eyes.

A burst of warmth spread throughout Joanne's heart, and she felt as if she had lost her pursuit in an instant.

Fame, fortune, money, and power were all unnecessary. It was enough as long as the two babies and Brian were fine and she could fall asleep like this every night.

Compared with Brian and Joanne who were in peace, Wesley was destined to be restless this night.

At about three o'clock in the morning, Wesley finished his arrangement and returned to the apartment downtown.

The moment he opened the door and walked into the apartment, Wesley fell into the darkness and did not dare to move.

Some memories turned into a tide in the dark night, rushing toward him and becoming clear pictures in front of him.

He saw Yuna, who was young and fearless, sitting on the hospital bed with her legs in the plaster and bandages on her head and saying that she liked him in a very serious manner.

Then, he saw Joanne holding an empty bottle of Mifepristone.

At that time, there was obvious sadness hidden in Yuna's eyes. Why did he ignore it totally and only remember that Yuna had killed his child?

Wesley grabbed the doorknob tighter and tighter, and it was almost deformed.

However, this could not reverse the facts.

Regret was the most useless emotion in the world. He could only find ways to remedy everything.
