Chapter 11 Miss Lucas's Anger

"I must have left it in the bar yesterday."

Sierra Moore pounded her head in frustration. She thought to herself, "I must have been abandoned by God. Why did he do this to me?"

Her drivers license and bank card were all kept in her handbag. Now without these things, she could not go anywhere.

She wondered if she should ask Sophie Lucas for help.

About half an hour after Nathan Shaw left, the doorbell rang. Sierra Moore's first reaction was to wonder whether this bastard would come back so soon or not!

When she remembered what he said before he left, Sierra Moore reluctantly got up to open the door.

A man was standing outside the door. He looked to be in his thirties and his suit was meticulous. When he saw the door open, he had a proper smile on his face. "Hello, Miss Moore. I am the president's special assistant. My name is John Smith. You can call me John."

Sierra Moore looked at the man at the door in surprise, thinking to herself, "How did this man know that my surname is Moore?"

His eyes swept across the red and swollen half of her face and the marks on her neck. John Smith immediately looked away, but his heart was already filled with great turmoil.

He thought to himself, "In the past, there has never been a woman staying over in the villa of the president, let alone living here. Who exactly is this Miss Moore?"

Thinking of Mr. Shaw's instructions on the phone early in the morning, John Smith suddenly felt a deep respect for this woman who suddenly appeared.

She was actually able to stand out among a group of admirers. He could almost imagine that once the young wealthy ladies in New York knew that Nathan Shaw was taken, they would definitely cry to death.

However, looking at the expression on Miss Moore's face, he felt that she did not feel much pampered. Moreover, her face and legs were injured. When she looked at him, she was even a little wary.

John Smith suddenly had a bold guess inside his heart, "Could it be that this woman has been forced by the president?"

"Miss Moore, this is the handbag that you left in Dark Night yesterday. Your phone is broken. This is a new phone that Mr. Shaw asked me to prepare for you. It can be used with a card."

After he talked for a long time, only this sentence was the most useful.

Sierra Moore took the phone. She couldn't tell which brand it was, but she didn't expect the man to give her a good one. It was enough as long as it could be used.

She thought to herself, "Now that I have my phone and my handbag is back, can I..."

Sierra Moore kept her plan in mind, lowered her head to dig in her bag, and raised her head to look at him in disbelief, "My wallet is gone. There is cash, bank card, and my drivers license in it."

John Smith kept his head down and lied through his teeth, "I didn't touch anything when I brought the handbag here. Maybe these things were taken away by someone in the chaos."

When Sierra Moore heard this, her heart turned cold. Even if she lost her bank card, she could still suspend it, but now that she lost her driver's license, how could she leave New York in a short time?

Seeing her expression, John Smith comforted her, "Miss Moore, don't worry too much. When Mr. Shaw comes back, he will definitely find a way to help you get the things back."

She thought to herself, "It will be too late to wait for him to come back."

Sierra Moore installed the card. Her original contacts were kept in the old mobile phone, but now they were all gone after she changed the phone.

As soon as the phone was turned on, a phone call came in. Sierra Moore looked at it doubtfully and picked it up. She heard the man's voice coming from her ears. "John Smith has been here?"

She thought to herself, "Isn't this nonsense?"

Sierra Moore nodded, thinking that the other end could not see it, so she added, "Yes, he's here."

The other end was very satisfied with her obedience, and his tone seemed to be much better. "If you have something to do in the next few days, look for John Smith. He will help you. I will come back as soon as possible."

She thought to herself, "You better never come back!"

She could only think about this in her heart, after all, she was unable to leave even if she wanted to.

"Don't try to play tricks. Don't forget that your indenture contract is still with me."

Feeling threatened again, Sierra Moore was so angry that her eyes went red. After hanging up the phone, she could not help but scold, "Damn rich bastard, don't be complacent. When you go bankrupt one day, I will definitely keep you. When the time comes, I will let you wash clothes and cook for me at home every day!"

"Mr. Shaw is going to be kept by someone?" John exclaimed after hearing her words.

Johns mind was in a mess. It was obvious that he was already imagining the picture of Mr. Shaw washing clothes and cooking. Suddenly, his whole body quivered and he felt goosebumps all over his body. Because that scene was far beyond his imagination.

After hanging up the phone, Sierra Moore wanted to call Sophie Lucas. When she realized that someone was standing at the door, she remembered that though the man had left, his follower was still there.

"Well, would you like to come in and have a rest?"

She had the posture of a hostess. John Smith shook his head and waved his hands, "I'll wait in the car. Miss Moore, just call me when youre going out."

Sierra Moore nodded and turned to close the door.

After thinking about it, she called the police station to report the case, explaining the situation of her wallet being stolen and asking them to help her retrieve her driver's license.

After the police made a simple record, he kept her personal information and contact information. The only thing left for her was to wait for the news. She only hoped that she could make it before the man came back.

When she called Sophie Lucas, there was a sharp engine sound coming from the phone. It was obvious that Sophie Lucas was racing on the road. When Sierra Moore heard an ear-piercing emergency brake, she took the phone away and heard a roar from the receiver.

"SISI Where are you now?"

Sierra Moore broke out in a cold sweat. She quickly held her phone and carefully explained, "Well, I am sleeping in the hotel!"

"Bullshit!" Sophie Lucas slapped the steering wheel and a sharp whistle sounded, "I just came out of the hotel. The hotel staff said that you didn't come back yesterday."

Sierra Moore was speechless.

Hearing that the other end was silent for a long time, Sophie Lucas cursed in a low voice and asked her, "Where are you? I'll go find you."

"What a joke. If Miss Lucas were to come, the bastard's home would be torn down by her. At that time, it would not be solved with ten million." Thinking to herself, Sierra Moore hurriedly said, "Let me look for you! The coffee shop on the third floor of the hotel. Wait for me there."

After hanging up the phone, Sierra Moore changed into her shoes at the entrance and went out.

When she opened the door just now, she noticed that this was a high-end residential area, just like the place she lived in when she was a child. The place was very spacious, and every household was a single courtyard, far away from each other without interfering with each other.

Passing through the courtyard, she walked to the automatic door. A black Audi stopped at the door. When John Smith saw her coming out, he quickly got out of the car and opened the door for her. He made an inviting gesture, "Miss Moore, please get in the car."

Sierra Moore obviously did not expect this assistant to be here. She looked at him awkwardly and refused, "Well, I can take a taxi there. Please go back!"

John Smith had long guessed that she would say this. His mind was working quickly and he immediately offered a solution. "This place is a bit remote. It's not easy to get a car. Moreover, Mr. Shaw told me to take care of you before he left. Miss Moore, please don't make things difficult for me."

Sierra Moore naturally did not want to make things difficult for him. Moreover, she also noticed that the traffic here was indeed not very convenient. As far as the eye could see, there was not even a shadow of a person, let alone a taxi.

Sierra Moore thought that she couldn't let Sophie wait for too long. Then she thought about it and got into the car. The car started slowly. John Smith looked at the rearview mirror and asked her, "Miss Moore, where are you going?"

Sierra Moore told him the address of the hotel, and John Smith opened the navigation system. The two of them had nothing to say along the way.

When they arrived at the hotel, she said that she was going to see a friend, so she let John Smith go back first. She originally wanted to go back to her room to change her clothes first, but she didn't expect that just as she stepped into the hotel lobby, she saw Sophie.

Sophie Lucas looked at her from head to toe. Her gaze stopped on Sierra Moore's swollen face, and her gaze turned cold. "Did he bully you? Bastard, I will kill him!"

This girl had a fierce look on her face, scaring Sierra Moore quite a bit.

Since this was the lobby, and people were watching, Sierra Moore quickly pulled her back. "My Miss Lucas, don't be impulsive! Can you listen to me first? Who are you going to kill if you rush out like this?"

Sierra Moore tried her best to persuade Sophie Lucas and finally pulled her into the elevator. When they arrived at the coffee shop on the third floor, Sophie Lucas slapped the table as soon as she sat down. "Tell me, what exactly happened? Is it because I..."

Speaking of what happened yesterday, Sophie Lucas blamed herself a little. She did not expect that such a thing would happen when she went out to make a phone call.

If Sierra Moore's innocence was ruined because of this, Sophie Lucas was afraid that she would really kill someone.

Thinking of this, Sophie Lucas made up her mind and said to Sierra Moore, "I'm sorry for what happened yesterday, but don't worry. If you really are... I will avenge you."

Sierra Moore shook her head helplessly when she saw Sophie Lucas's impetuous expression as if Sophie Lucas felt like killing someone. She thought to herself, "Isn't this a society ruled by law? Why is this girl always talking about killing people so casually?"

It was really rare to see Sophie Lucas so aggrieved and self-blame. Sierra Moore felt a little uncomfortable being looked at in the eyes of Sophie. Sierra Moore was anxious and could only tell her briefly about what happened yesterday.

Her description of the process was naturally brief. She only said that she was almost bullied by Yellow Scar's people. Later, she was saved by Nathan Shaw, but it was clear that Sierra Moore was not good at lying.

Sophie Lucas did not believe her at all and immediately found the loophole in her words. "You said that he only saved you and did not do anything to you. Then why did you not return home at night and why did you even change your clothes? And what about the kiss marks on your neck?"

"Kiss marks?"

Sierra Moore was stunned by her question and quickly covered her neck with her hands.

This kind of guilty expression made Miss Lucas frown even more. Right now, Sophie Lucas was only thinking about how her best friend's purity had been defiled, and she gritted her teeth so hard that it was about to shatter.

After knowing Sophie Lucas for so long, Sierra Moore definitely knew what she was thinking now. She grabbed her hands across the table and met Miss Lucas's ashamed gaze, staring at her earnestly.

"Sofi, he didn't bully me. The clothes on my body were drenched in wine and dirtied by those people when I was in Dark Night. That's why I changed them. As for the kiss marks..."

"Well, I think it should be when I was in Dark Night back then. You know that I was frightened at that time. How could I notice these?"

Sophie Lucas finally believed her words, thinking to herself, "Fortunately, it did not cause a big mistake." She felt depressed. She slapped Sierra Moore's hands away and took a big sip of the coffee on the table.

Seeing that Sophie Lucas was not angry anymore, Sierra Moore lowered her head to stir the coffee, but her heart was troubled by the indenture contract she signed in the morning.

She thought to herself, ""Do I really have to stay and serve that bastard for a year? This is impossible. I'm not someone that sells her body."

Sierra Moore shook her head to dispel this terrifying thought.
