Chapter 114 A Long Way to Go

Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "How could she fall down when she was working at the company?"

"Sierra Moore, is there anything else you haven't told me?" Nathan Shaw looked down at Sierra Moore and asked with certainty.

Sierra Moore still remembered that he became furious on New Natear's Day just because she picked up Jack Lee's call. This time, she could not make the same mistake again.

So, she gritted her teeth and shook her head. "No more!"

Considering her guilty look, it would be weird if he really believed her.

Nathan Shaw was angry that she did not cherish herself, but he also felt sorry for the wound on her hand. After getting in the car, he drove directly to the hospital.

"Sierra Moore is injured. We're heading now." With a call, he forced the person who was about to get off work to stay.

Sierra Moore listened from the side and could only play dead with her eyes closed.

She thought to herself, "It's just a bruise. Do we need to go to the hospital so exaggeratedly?"

In the end, Nathan Shaw still sent her to the hospital. Sierra Moore's resistance was futile, and she could only remain silent. Along the way, she looked at him with extremely resentful eyes.

Going to the hospital was the most depressing thing.

When they arrived at the hospital, Nathan Shaw did not register but directly pull her to George Young's office. Such a handsome man was eye-catching wherever he went.

It was already time to get off work. George Young was idle at this time. When he saw Nathan Shaw pulling someone in, he raised his chin and said, "Nate, you're here!"

"Dr. Young, there's still one more!" The person who was ignored waved at him.

"Where are you hurt again?" George Young's eyes curved behind the lenses and he smiled at her in a friendly manner.

Sierra Moore was a standard huge fan of handsome faces. Whenever she saw a handsome man, she would become infatuated, especially with someone like George Young. When he wore a white coat, he was not only pleasing to the eye, but he was also amazing!

If Sophie Lucas was here, she would definitely turn into a wolf and pounce on him.

"This stupid woman actually drooled at another man." As he thought to himself, Nathan Shaw's eyes were indignant. He pulled her over. "Her hand is injured. Come and take a look at her."

Sure enough, George Young took a few glances and looked at Nathan Shaw helplessly. "Brother, I believe Ryan's words today."

These three people had the same habit. Only when they expressed respect and dissatisfaction would they call the other brother.

"Cut the crap. Hurry up and apply some medicine for her," Nathan Shaw said, looking up at him.

George Young thought to himself, "You know how to apply some medicine, so why did you come all the way to the hospital?"

George Young sighed and took the alcohol to help her for anti-inflammatory purposes. He accidentally hurt her. In the end, Nathan Shaw frowned. "Be gentle."

George Young sighed. It seemed that Boss was completely defeated this time.

After applying the medicine, George Young solemnly said to Sierra Moore, "Don't touch water for the next two days. Be careful not to get infected. Otherwise, someone will feel distressed again."

Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "How dare you make fun of me? I'm your eldest brother."

Nathan Shaw gave him a warning glance, but Sierra Moore blushed and lowered her head, saying, "I understand."

She was so shy that her face turned red after he just said a few words. Her voice was as low as a mosquito, like a mild little rabbit.

George Young thought to himself, "Why didn't I notice before that the notorious Mr. Shaw likes this type?"

George Young patted Nathan Shaw on the shoulder and said, "Let's go together! I'll go to the counter and get some anti-inflammatory drugs for Sierra Moore. Take it home and wipe it for her. It will be fine in a few days."

After saying that, he gave Sierra Moore a meaningful look, thinking to himself, "Why did this girl run to the hospital every two or three days?"

Just when Sierra Moore was a few steps behind, George Young asked as he looked at the person around him, "Do you want to know what Ryan and Steven said?"

"Tell me about it," Nathan Shaw said, looking at him with interest.

George Young smiled and said, "I thought you didn't want to know."

At this time, Nathan Shaw really didn't want to know. He knew in his heart that this person in front of him was publicly known to devious and cunning. Seeing George Young smile so treacherously, he knew that his words would not be good things.

He did not want to hear it, but George Young had already said, "Ryan said that this rabbit girl is your karma. Either you would become a Buddha or become a devil."

As they spoke, the two had already walked to the parking lot outside the hospital.

Nathan Shaw took out his car key and heard the man gloating behind him. "Steven said that you and Sierra Moore are like a weird uncle and a little loli."

After saying that, without waiting for the other to flare up, he quickly walked toward his car.

After getting into the car, George Young lowered the window and said to him, "I won't disturb your date with sister-in-law. Remember to let her hand touch less water. I can only help you this much."

Seeing Sierra Moore approaching, George Young pushed up his glasses. There seemed to be a flash of light behind the lens, which could be called evilness.

"Goodbye!"

Sierra Moore had just walked over when she saw George Young driving away.

"Why did Dr. Young leave?" Sierra Moore asked as soon as she got into the car. She thought that Nathan Shaw would ask George Young to have a meal together.

Nathan Shaw leaned over to help her fasten her seat belt. Finally, he pinched her nose and warned her, "Next time, don't dare to look at other men like this. Be careful of your butt!"

"Ah!"

Sierra Moore looked at him blankly. As soon as she opened her mouth, he glanced at her coldly. She looked at him with a wronged expression. "Nathan Shaw, why are you so fierce to me again?"

"Maybe I've been hungry for too long," Nathan Shaw replied earnestly as he sat back in his car.

Sierra Moore smiled and said, "Hehe, then, aren't we going to eat?"

Every time he talked about whether he was hungry or not, she cleverly stopped the topic and closed her eyes to play dead. Nathan Shaw had no way to deal with her.

After returning home for dinner, Sierra Moore played with her phone for a while. Just as she entered the bathroom with her clothes in her arms, the man behind her opened the door with his spare key.

"Why did you come in?" Sierra Moore looked at the person who had suddenly barged in. She did not even have much preparation.

On the other hand, Nathan Shaw had a valid reason. He untied his sleeves and rolled them up. As he walked over, he said, "George told me that your hands cannot touch the water."

"How am I going to take a bath without touching the water?" Sierra Moore asked stupidly, not understanding what he meant.

"That's why I'm here. I'll help you," Nathan Shaw answered for her.

Sierra Moore finally understood. She thought to herself, "This person was a little absent-minded after coming back. He didn't even investigate how my hand was injured. It turned out that he was waiting for the chance here!"

She looked up at the lamp above her head. She then looked straight into Nathan Shaw's deep eyes and asked, "I want to know. What are the consequences if I refuse you?"

"Do you want to do it yourself or do you want me to help you take it off?" Nathan Shaw narrowed his eyes.

Sierra Moore was still struggling. "I'm getting better slowly even if I touch the water. It's okay."

"Looks like you want me to help you take it off." Nathan Shaw curled his lips into a cold smile.

As soon as he came over, Sierra Moore quickly put her arm around her shoulder, "Hey, a gentleman uses his mouth and not his fist."

He felt it was even more ridiculous. Nathan Shaw narrowed his eyes and raised them. "I remember someone describing me as a beast with a poisonous tongue and a crafty tyrant but never a gentleman."

This time, Sierra Moore wanted to cry. She squatted beside the bathtub and pretended to cry. "Ooh, I don't want your help. I'd rather die!"

"You'd rather die?" Nathan Shaw narrowed his eyes and asked in a dangerous voice.

When she heard his voice, Sierra Moore felt goosebumps. She was scared to death.

She spoke so righteously, but as soon as Mr. Shaw stretched out his evil hand, she did not even have the courage to resist. She raised her hand and surrendered in a few moves, allowing herself to be trampled on.

"Ah... Nathan Shaw, you rascal..."

The sound of water coming from the bathroom was accompanied by Sierra Moore's cursing.

After taking a shower, Sierra Moore was carried out. She was wrapped in a bath towel, but it could not cover her rosy face. It was unknown if it was because she was angry or because of the heat.

When Nathan Shaw came out of the shower and saw the person wrapped like a silkworm baby on the bed, he could not help but sigh, his eyes filled with endless love.

After he got into bed, he hugged her along with the quilt. For the first time, he asked his inner doubt, "Sisi, what are you afraid of?"

The person who was originally pretending to be asleep suddenly opened her eyes when she heard this. The astonishment in her eyes did not escape that person's eyes. She thought to herself, "How could he..."

Nathan Shaw looked down at her and repeated, "Tell me, what are you afraid of?"

She thought to herself, "What am I afraid of?"

Sierra Moore looked into his eyes. She was afraid that this vast sea of stars would eventually lose her shadow. She was afraid that it was all her wishful thinking. She was afraid that one day, he would no longer be keen on such tricks and would no longer treat her so well.

She was even more afraid that he would leave as Jack Lee once did or simply forget her if he knew about her past.

She could not experience loss again and could not bear it anymore.

"I'm afraid that after you get me, you won't cherish me anymore." The mist in her eyes blocked her sight. Sierra Moore blinked.

Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "What a silly child."

Nathan Shaw sighed. There were some things he felt that there was no need to say, and he had never said them.

"You have to know that you are the only one who has stayed by my side all these years." He pulled away the quilt that was wrapped around her and pulled her into his embrace, his gaze deep into her eyes.

With a sad sigh landing on her head, Sierra Moore wanted to look up, but he held her in his arms and she couldn't move. After a while, she heard the man say, "Sierra Moore, don't let me wait too long."

Because she could not let the wound on her hand touch water, this matter was seized by Mr. Shaw, causing Sierra Moore to have to accept his "goodwill" every night.

From then on, bathing became a nightmare.

Sometimes, when she was bullied, Sierra Moore would lie in his arms and cry in shame. For the first time in her heart, she hated Emily Mason. If not for her, Sierra Moore would not have been so passive.

"Nathan Shaw, I want to see what excuse you have to ravage me today." After the scabs on her hand formed and fell, Sierra Moore stood in the bathtub and laughed heartily.

On the other side, Nathan Shaw had just pushed open the door and entered. His lower body was wrapped in a bath towel. Facing Sierra Moore's proud face, he said seriously, "I sprained my hand at the company today. Help bathe me."

Sierra Moore was speechless.

It turned out that on the road to resisting Nathan Shaw, Sierra Moore was never a match for him.

This year's Lunar New Natear was a little late, but even so, as time passed day by day, in the blink of an eye, it was February.

There was still half a month before the Lunar New Natear. There were promotional events everywhere in the mall. As one walked on the streets, he could feel that the entire city was filled with a festive atmosphere.

The annual holiday was about to start, and there were a lot of things to do in the company. As the Big Boss, Nathan Shaw was so busy that he could not be idle for a moment.
