Chapter 124 Clear-minded

The tea was right in front of him, and before it even entered his mouth, he could already smell the fragrance of the tea.

Samuel Shaw did not take the teacup she handed over. He just looked at Sierra Moore. She was not angry when she held the tea. She just looked back with a smile.

Samuel Shaw thought to himself, "I want to demonstrate my authority to her, but she just doesn't receive the move. It feels like a punch on cotton."

"She is a clear-minded girl."

Samuel Shaw smiled and shook his head. He took her tea and put it under his nose to sniff it. The faint fragrance of the tea rushed in. He took a sip and the taste of the tea became even stronger.

"Good tea!"

This could be considered a great compliment.

Seeing him drink the tea, Sierra Moore finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Just now, she poured two cups of tea, and now Samuel Shaw was in a good mood after drinking tea. He wanted to test her again, so he said, "Drink it too. See if you can find out what kind of tea it is?"

Sierra Moore didnt show a hint of unease. She picked up the teacup and took a sip. When she raised her head, she saw Samuel Shaw looking at her and looking like he wanted to know.

Sierra Moore could not help but laugh, "After my grandpa left, it has been many years since I calmed down and tasted tea. My sense of taste and smell is not as good as before. I am not sure. I wonder if this is the oolong tea from Mount Wuyi?"

After listening to her words, Samuel Shaw finally stopped pulling a long face. He laughed loudly, "Little girl, your guess is right. It is the oolong tea."

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "It really is so."

Sierra Moore also smiled and said, "I got it right."

When she said this, Samuel Shaw couldn't help but laugh again. He pointed at her nose and said, "You are so honest. You don't fool the old man."

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "I wouldn't dare to fool you since you once fought in a war before!"

Seeing Samuel Shaw finish a cup of tea, Sierra Moore added another cup for him, and she still respectfully handed it to him, "Please have some tea."

Her attitude was not perfunctory at all. She was a patient and good child.

Samuel Shaw kept nodding as he observed, thinking to himself, "Although this brat is disobedient, he has good taste in picking a wife. He is much better than me."

"Since you're back, stay a few more days and stay at home for the New Natear."

Sierra Moore did not dare to agree to this. She only said that she would listen to Nathan Shaw, which made Samuel Shaw give her a furious glare before adding, "Why do I have to ask for his opinion if I want to keep my granddaughter-in-law for a few days?"

Sierra Moore was extremely embarrassed by this address of "granddaughter-in-law". She blushed and said, "Mr. Shaw, Nathan Shaw and I are actually..."

Samuel Shaw put down the teacup and raised his hand to interrupt her, "We are all family. Call me grandpa."

Sierra Moore was a little embarrassed. She had only known Nathan Shaw for a short period. She was not sure what would happen in the future. Whether she could enter the Shaw Family was not up to her to decide.

Seeing her frown from worry, Samuel Shaw became unhappy. "What? Are you not happy to call me grandpa?"

"No, that's not what I meant. Well, grandpa, grandpa, don't be angry," Sierra Moore couldn't explain clearly, so she could only call him grandpa to pass this test.

After chatting with her for a while, Samuel Shaw seemed to be tired. After all, he was still old.

He put down his teacup and said to Sierra Moore, "Go out and call that brat Nathan Shaw in."

"Ah, I'll go now."

Sierra Moore nodded and went out. Unexpectedly, as soon as the door opened, Nathan Shaw was standing upright in front of the door. She was shocked. She covered her chest and asked him, "Why are you here?"

The person who had been caught didn't feel embarrassed at all but asked her seriously, "Why have you been in there for so long?"

He thought to himself, "These two people's age has a significant gap. What else was there to say?"

When Samuel Shaw saw Nathan Shaw, he didn't pretend to be deep at all. He was so angry that he slammed the table and stared at him. "You stinking brat, do you think I am a dreadful monster who can swallow your wife?"

His words made Sierra Moore blush again. She was afraid that the old man would say something strange, so she quickly pushed Nathan Shaw into the room. "Hurry up and go in. Have a good talk with grandpa."

Sierra Moore even called Mr. Shaw grandpa now. Nathan Shaw became more and more curious. He wondered what the two of them had talked about in the study room for a long time.

Nathan Shaw came in and his heart was still outside the door. Samuel Shaw saw it and scolded him again, "Look at your useless face. You are not as clear-minded as your wife."

After hearing this, Nathan Shaw turned to look at him and said indifferently, "I only think that you accepted her!"

Samuel Shaw began to puff his mustache and glare at Nathan Shaw, "When did I say that I didn't accept her? If you brought her back earlier, wouldn't it be over?"

The Old Master began to lecture again, and Nathan Shaw stood still, not saying a word.

"When I asked you to get married, you said that you had a girlfriend. I asked you to bring her home to meet me. What happened next? You just registered the marriage certificate without saying a word."

"After you got married, there was no wedding or banquet. You didn't take your wife home. You even secretly sent her abroad. Now that she's back, you did not know to bring her home."

"If not for me asking someone to make a phone call, I don't know when we can meet again. Tell me, is this reasonable?"

The Old Master's mouth was dry after speaking these words, but Nathan Shaw acted indifferent. He remained silent while listening. He was always like this.

Samuel Shaw thought to himself, "It is said that thirty is a good time to become an upstanding citizen with his own family. The cute child from back then grew up in the blink of an eye. I'm getting old now. Time does not spare me!"

Samuel Shaw sighed, "I know. You are still blaming me for what happened to your mother."

"Grandfather," Nathan Shaw finally spoke up, but his words were extremely disrespectful, "I also know that you still feel that what you have done is right."

Samuel Shaw cursed angrily, "Brat, what kind of attitude is this?"

All these years, every conversation had been like this. Samuel Shaw's face would flush with agitation after he spoke some words. Nathan Shaw didn't want to quarrel with him and only said, "Grandpa, if there is nothing else, I will go out first."

Sierra Moore was eating in the living room downstairs. She listened to Margaret talking about Nathan Shaw when he was a child. When Margaret talked about the story during primary school, Sierra Moore saw him coming downstairs expressionlessly and walking straight to her.

She noticed his expression and asked him carefully, "You finished chatting with your grandfather so quickly?"

Nathan Shaw nodded and held her hand as they walked out.

Sierra Moore did not know what was going on, so she could only follow. Behind him, Margaret was anxious and thought that he was arguing with Old Master again. She hurriedly chased and shouted, "Eldest Young Master, lunch is ready. Don't go!"

Margaret was also a senior who was over half a hundred years old. Sierra Moore felt sad when she heard this. She did not know why this young master was making trouble again.

"Margaret and Arthur have been busy for a long time. Can't we eat before leaving?" She asked, tugging at Nathan Shaw's arm.

"When did I say I was leaving?" Nathan Shaw looked at her with an even more baffled expression on his face.

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "What was he doing if he didn't leave?"

This time, Sierra Moore was confused, but she believed Nathan Shaw's words, so she turned to Margaret and said, "Margaret, don't worry. Nathan Shaw said we wouldn't leave. We'll be back soon."

Margaret finally understood that Nathan Shaw was going to take Sierra Moore to the place where he lived.

Thus, she quickly took an umbrella from the entrance and chased after the two of them to give it to them. She then turned around and called for the driver, "It's snowing outside. Judy, quickly go and send the Eldest Young Master and Eldest Young Madam off."

Margaret also had good intentions, but Nathan Shaw did not get in the car. He only tightened his grip on Sierra Moore's hand and asked her, "Do you want to take a walk?"

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "It is you who want to take a walk!"

Seeing that this young master was not in a good mood, Sierra Moore nodded and said with a smile, "Alright, I also want to take a walk."

Nathan Shaw looked at her for a moment as if the smile on her face could sweep away the haze in his heart. He reached out to brush away the snow on her shoulders and put her hand into the pocket of his coat.

The two of them held an umbrella and strolled through the snow, which was the pinnacle fused by black and white.

After walking for a while, Sierra Moore remembered to ask him, "Nathan Shaw, where are we going?"

"To where I live," said Nathan Shaw, turning to look at her.

After walking for about ten minutes, they finally arrived at the place that Nathan Shaw had mentioned. It was a two-story pretty house. Beside the white house was a beautifully attended garden.

The door to the living room opened and a little girl around eighteen or nineteen walked out.

She was not surprised to see Nathan Shaw and Sierra Moore. She bowed respectfully and said, "Eldest Young Master, you are back! Sofiu has already cleaned up your room."

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Not only does he live in a villa, but he also has a maid?"

Sierra Moore looked at Nathan Shaw with a deeper meaning. "Eldest Young Master, you really are from a great noble family. I wonder if you need any other servants in this courtyard?"

Nathan Shaw really took her words to heart and thought for a moment before saying, "I still need a servant girl to wash my feet."

He was obviously taking advantage of her, but Sierra Moore was still speechless. After all, she was the one who spoke offensively.

Nathan Shaw loved to see her conflicted expression the most, so he pulled her in with a smile.

As he walked, he said, "This is where I lived when I was young. My parents lived downstairs, and my room was upstairs." As he spoke, he led her upstairs.

When she heard that this was the place where Nathan Shaw lived when he was a child, Sierra Moore was particularly curious and immediately abandoned the unpleasantness just now.

Nathan Shaw pulled her along as she looked around. She wondered if she could find Mr. Shaw's memories here when he was young.

The room next to the stairs on the second floor to the south was where Nathan Shaw lived. The room was very big, and the furniture inside was spotless. The sheets and covers were all new, and it was hard to tell that no one had lived in the room for a long time.

Sierra Moore's imagination ran wild, and she began to imagine the scene of the young maid making the bed and folding the quilt for the Eldest Young Master. Her heart was suddenly filled with a chill. She thought to herself, "Bureaucracy harms people!"

After entering the room, Sierra Moore left the Eldest Young Master behind and ran off in high spirits.

After wandering around the room, she ran over to ask him, "Nathan Shaw, I don't think I heard you mention your parents. Are they not at home?"

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Since the son went home, shouldn't his parents come out to take a look?"

"Did they not miss him?"

Sierra Moore had doubts in her heart, but she saw Nathan Shaw's eyes darken for a moment. Before she could see clearly, he had already acted indifferent and said a few words in a carefree manner.

"They have already passed away."

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Dead."

"Did Nathan Shaw's parents leave him as early as my parents did?"
