Chapter 140 It Was Actually a Misunderstanding

Ever since Sierra Moore went out with Victoria Shaw that day, she never returned. Countless calls were made from the House of the Shaws every day, but they were all refused by Nathan Shaw's excuse.

"Sierra Moore is not feeling well, so we won't go over for the next few days."

When Margaret heard this, she immediately had an idea, thinking to herself, "When Young Madam came here two days ago, there was nothing wrong. Now the Eldest Young Master said that she is not feeling well, could it be that she is pregnant?"

Margaret's associative ability was also very strong, and she immediately smiled.

She instructed Nathan Shaw, "Young Madam's health is now very precious. Eldest Young Master, you must have someone take good care of her. I will go and talk to Old Master. However, you have to bring Young Madam back for dinner on New Natear's Eve."

Nathan Shaw replied indifferently. As soon as he hung up the phone, Margaret hurriedly ran over to tell Samuel Shaw this good news.

Samuel Shaw couldn't help but laugh when he heard this. He then instructed Arthur in a loud voice, "Arthur! Go and get someone to clean up the snow in the courtyard. Then, get the kitchen to prepare more nutritious dishes. This is my the Shaw Family's first great-grandson!"

Today was the Chinese New Natear, the last day of 2014.

In the villa's room, the little girl who felt that she had been ignored was crying and hugging Nathan Shaw. She was tired from crying, so she curled up beside him and fell asleep.

At noon, the House of the Shaws called again and asked them when they would leave.

After hanging up the phone, Nathan Shaw looked sideways at the person sleeping beside him. There was a hint of gentleness in his amber eyes.

Because he was afraid of disturbing Sierra Moore, he deliberately set the phone to vibrate mode. When Ken called and he heard the person that Ken mentioned, Nathan Shaw's face suddenly darkened.

"Are you saying that everything he said is true? He and Ethan Quinn are half-blood brothers?"

If that were the case, Ken would have never called Nathan Shaw at such a time.

Ken said, "But my people found out that Maxwell Davis inherited his father's congenital heart disease. His body has never been very good. He had been in critical condition several times. During the time when something happened to Ethan Quinn, he just had a heart transplant operation."

Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "Was it really just a coincidence?"

"Get someone to go to that hospital to find his information." Nathan Shaw looked down at Sierra Moore. "Where is that woman?"

"After meeting the young miss, Maxwell Davis sent that woman and Clarison Moore Quinn abroad overnight. I guess he was afraid that the young miss would notice something!" Ken had already sent someone to investigate it.

Sometimes, a stupid woman was extremely sensitive.

Nathan Shaw gently stroked her silky long hair and calmly ordered Ken, "If necessary, ask her to come back."

"Then, do you want that child to come back together?" Ken asked.

Nathan Shaw did not speak immediately. He remembered those days when his girl was chattering in his arms and endlessly talking about her cute little brother.

"Don't care about him for the time being."

Ken was a little surprised, but soon he understood what Nathan Shaw meant, thinking to himself, "The young miss likes that child so much. How could Boss bear to make her sad?"

Ken replied. Then he immediately went to instruct his subordinates about the matter.

After dealing with these matters, Nathan Shaw carried Sierra Moore upstairs, changed clothes for her, and carried her to the garage.

Sierra Moore suffered from insomnia last night and messed around with him in the morning. Now she was sleeping soundly and couldn't wake up no matter how.

When the car arrived at the House of the Shaws, Arthur and Margaret were already waiting outside. Their eyes lit up when they saw Sierra Moore, who was still asleep in the car.

"Eldest Young Master, Young Madam hasn't woken up yet, right? Why don't you send Young Madam back to rest first? I'll get the kitchen to cook some chicken soup. I'll have someone send it over later."

The two of them didn't have lunch at noon. Nathan Shaw was also worried that Sierra Moore would be hungry. He nodded and said, "I'll send her back first. I'll see Grandpa later."

Nathan Shaw drove here on his own today. Arthur asked someone to open the big iron gate at the entrance while the car drove straight into the front of the white building.

Nathan Shaw got out of the car and took a detour to the passenger seat. Just as he was about to carry Sierra Moore out of the car, she woke up.

This person slept all the way, and now that she opened her eyes, the first thing she said was, "I can't have transmigrated, right? Why is the snow in the courtyard gone?"

The person who was ignored was unhappy and reached out to poke her little head. "Woman, did you forget something?"

"Did I?" Sierra Moore blinked her eyes. Then, she seemed to have thought of something and reached her hand in front of him. "Congratulations and best of fortunes! Bring me the red packet!"

Nathan Shaw slapped her hand. "I've already given you the card. Why do you still want the red packet?"

"It's not romantic at all without red packets or gifts," Sierra Moore said unhappily with her mouth puckered.

When this woman did not cry or make a scene, she seemed to be more capable to make him angry. Nathan Shaw was so angry that he flung his sleeves, ignored her, and turned to leave.

Sierra Moore quickly got out of the car and chased after him. She held his hand and said, "Nathan Shaw, are we not going to see Grandpa?"

Nathan Shaw was in a good mood as his palm was filled with softness. He tightened his grip on her soft, boneless hand. "You haven't eaten anything at noon. Eat something before we go over."

When he said this, Sierra Moore really felt hungry.

Soon, Sofiu came in with the food box that Margaret had sent. The two of them ate quietly and were about to go to the main courtyard.

Sierra Moore ate until she was a little stuffed and insisted on dragging Nathan Shaw along, saying that it would help with digestion.

When Margaret received Sofiu's call, she waited at the door. When she saw the two of them holding hands as they walked over, she smiled so much that her eyes could no longer be seen. She hurriedly greeted them, "Young Madam, does the food still suit your appetite?"

Sierra Moore liked the enthusiastic Margaret and nodded with a smile. "It's very delicious, especially the chicken soup. It seems to be different from what I used to drink. I drank it all."

Margaret was very pleased and smiled even more happily, saying, "That's the pheasant that Old Master got someone to bring you. It's a supplement for you. There's still half of it in the kitchen. If you like it, drink more during dinner."

"Alright." Sierra Moore turned to look at Nathan Shaw. "Nathan Shaw, let's go see Grandfather!"

Nathan Shaw nodded and held her hand as they entered.

When they saw Samuel Shaw, Sierra Moore felt that he was smiling much more often than before. When he looked at her, he looked more like a kind old grandpa who kept nodding.

Sierra Moore was confused by that and looked for Nathan Shaw for help.

In fact, when Nathan Shaw saw Margaret just now, he had already guessed the reason. Now that he saw his grandfather, he was sure that what he said last time must have caused them to misunderstand.

Mr. Shaw's gaze slowly fell on Sierra Moore's stomach, but in his heart, he suddenly thought that such a misunderstanding seemed to be not bad.

So, he smiled and smoothed Sierra Moore's hair, "You go downstairs and wait for me first. I want to talk to Grandpa."

After Sierra Moore left, the smile on Samuel Shaw's face suddenly disappeared. He slammed his heavy palm on the table. "Stinking brat, you don't even know to call me for such a big matter. Do you still see me as your grandfather in your eyes?"

"What is the matter?" Nathan Shaw asked casually.

This time, Samuel Shaw did not slam the table. He stood up and patted his grandson. "You stinking brat, you still want to hide it from me? Tell me. Is Sierra Moore pregnant?"

Sure enough!

Nathan Shaw closed his mouth and did not say a word. In Samuel Shaw's view, this was a positive answer.

Mr. Shaw clapped his hands and laughed as he said "good" three times in succession, "I see that Sierra doesn't look too good when she comes back this time. Did you take her to the hospital for a check-up?"

Nathan Shaw said, "George has checked it for her and said that she is fine."

"Has the Second Young Master of Qiao Family checked it?" Samuel Shaw was very pleased.

Nathan Shaw nodded as well, but the smile on his face wasn't too obvious. In his heart, he was thinking, "This was all said by you, but I didn't say anything."

How could Samuel Shaw know that his grandson was two-faced? He was still nagging Nathan Shaw to take good care of Sierra Moore, "You have to pay more attention to her in the future."

As it concerned his wife, Nathan Shaw naturally agreed to everything.

Even so, Samuel Shaw was still worried since this was the Shaw Family's first great-grandson. "I think Sierra is too thin. Why don't you just stay at home? Margaret and the servants can help take care of her."

Nathan Shaw felt this matter was not up for discussion, so he said without giving his grandfather any face, "Don't worry. I'll find someone to help her recuperate. I won't let my son's mother suffer."

As Mr. Shaw spoke, he thought darkly to himself, "Even if we don't have a son now, we will still have one in the future. What I said is right. It couldn't be considered a lie."

The image of Nathan Shaw as an unfilial grandson in the past was too deep. Now that he was silent, Samuel Shaw did not find him suspicious.

Samuel Shaw was just a little angry that Nathan Shaw actually didn't tell his family about such a big matter of continuing their bloodline.

Although he still felt a little unhappy, Samuel Shaw understood his grandson's bad temper and did not dare to push him.

Samuel Shaw thought to himself, "If Nathan Shaw is like six years ago and sends Sierra Moore abroad without saying a word, won't I ever see my precious great-grandson?"

Samuel Shaw offered a backup plan, "You can't be careless for the first three months. How about this? You stay here with Sierra for a few more days. When you leave, let Margaret go back with you."

Nathan Shaw originally wanted to say that he had invited someone, but when he thought that Margaret was the Shaw Family's senior servant, he acquiesced to Old Master's arrangements.

It was rare for the grandfather and grandson to be so harmonious, and they chatted for a long time.

Sierra Moore was bored downstairs and went to stroll in the yard.

To be honest, Sierra Moore felt that Mr. Shaw was also a person who knew how to enjoy himself. In this big manor, just listening to the sound of the water flowing was enough to make people feel ecstatic.

The manor was built on the mountain, and this building was already fused as one with the scenery.

Sierra Moore walked a little further.

There was a bamboo forest in front, and the faint fragrance of bamboo assailed her nostrils. Sierra Moore's heart stirred, and she walked toward the bamboo forest.

When Sierra Moore walked over, she was surprised to see a person in the bamboo forest. The man was dressed in white and was practicing Tai Chi with his back facing her.

The breeze lifted the corner of his white clothes, and his sleeves fluttered in the wind as if it was in a dream.

At that moment, Sierra Moore really had an illusion that she had crossed over to a certain dynasty and seen an otherworldly immortal as if he was fused as one with heaven and earth.

That fresh and pleasant feeling made her unconsciously want to get closer.

Stepping on dried branches making cracking sounds, Sierra Moore hurriedly stopped and lowered her head in annoyance.

Although the voice was not loud, it still disturbed the person in the forest.

He hastily made a falling move, slowly turned around, and saw a person standing not far away and looking at him with a shocked expression.
