Chapter 147 She Is Hopeless

They had a good night's sleep.

When the morning sunlight shone through the thin curtains and onto the black sheets, it was suffused with a trace of warmth.

The black down blanket on the bed was wrapped up, and the person in the quilt turned over on the bed. Then, with a "thud", the person fell to the ground along with the quilt.

A hand stretched out from under the quilt, pulled a few times, and finally freed her head.

Sierra Moore looked around with blank face, then climbed up with the quilt and continued to sleep. She did not find anything wrong!

At the door of the bathroom, the person who was attracted by the sound was leaning against the wall, watching her series of actions, and then waiting for her to slowly open her eyes.

Sierra Moore took a short nap for a while. She had just closed her eyes when she suddenly sat up. Her little head looked left and right at a high frequency. "That's not right! I remember I was sleeping in the guest room last night!"

She was clearly the one sleeping in the guest room, but when she woke up, she found herself lying on the big bed in the master bedroom. There was no one other than Mr. Shaw who could do this.

Sierra Moore finally found Nathan Shaw. Thinking of the displeasure last night, she looked at him with tears in her eyes. "Nathan Shaw, you sent me back, didn't you?"

The corner of his mouth that had just been opened was stopped by Sierra Moore's jumping thinking before it could even curve up.

Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "This woman is really slow at times!"

"She didn't reflect herself since she made a mistake, but she dared to cast me that look. Didn't anyone tell her that the man who just woke up in the morning was the most vulnerable to temptation?"

Nathan Shaw's eyes flashed. When he walked over, he asked with concern, "Are you hungry?"

He still remembered that she had not eaten last night. Sierra Moore was moved and nodded vigorously. "Nates."

Nathan Shaw frowned and asked her hesitantly, "I asked someone to bring food over, but we might have to wait for a while."

"Ah?" Sierra Moore looked at him in confusion. "Why do we have to wait for a while?"

"Because"

At some point in time, Mr. Shaw had already taken off his nightgown. He lifted the quilt and entered, his hands skillfully removing her pajamas.

"I'm hungry too..." Nathan Shaw finally finished speaking.

Ever since Sierra Moore came to the House of the Shaws, the Shaw Family's rules had become more and more out of place.

Not only did they not eat breakfast, but they even saved their lunch.

After Sierra Moore fell asleep, Nathan Shaw called the kitchen and asked someone to deliver the food. Sierra Moore had not eaten since yesterday. She was so tired that she had fallen asleep.

She was obviously exhausted, but she refused to sleep today. After eating, she hugged Nathan Shaw and asked, "Nathan Shaw, can you let me meet Emily Mason?"

"No." The person who had just finished eating and drinking didn't give her any face at all. He just looked at her coldly. "Sierra Moore, you had best know whats good for you."

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Is what you promised me just now a lie?"

"Nathan Shaw, you pervert! You liar!"

If she had known earlier, she would not have taken the initiative to cooperate with him. Sierra Moore lowered her head in frustration and hid under the quilt to draw circles and curse him.

Sierra Moore was not a person who would give up easily. After being in the quilt for a while, she quietly lifted the corner of the quilt. "Well, my grandfather told me once that one should be tolerant."

Nathan Shaw didn't even bother to look at her. In fact, it was already great mercy that he didn't throw that woman into the ocean.

The strategy of retreat for progress failed. Sierra Moore began to try the method of provoking. She moved around with the quilt. She moved a little further away before saying, "Think about it! If you get bitten by a dog, you can't bite it back, right?"

"You said I was a dog?"

Mr. Shaw turned his head with a whoosh. His sharp eyes were extremely lethal. Sierra Moore was so scared that she quickly covered her head with the quilt. "Don't hit me."

Sierra Moore seemed to guess that it was useless to beg for mercy, so she decided to go all out.

As soon as the quilt on her head was lifted, she pounced on him and hugged him, saying sweetly, "Good brother, oppa, oppa, I was wrong, okay?"

"Who is oppa?" Nathan Shaw's brows which were unfolded just now were furrowed again and he looked at her with a sneer.

"No, no, no." Sierra Moore hurriedly waved her hand to save the situation. "In my heart, you are the most handsome. A long-legged oppa and whatnot can't even compare to a finger of yours. What I said is true."

Afraid that he wouldn't believe it, she even kissed him on the face. "Look! You are in your thirties this year, and you still look so handsome. This is called the legendary reverse growth!"

She dared to mention his age, and Nathan Shaw's handsome face sank. He closed the laptop on his leg and placed it on the bedside table. He turned around and looked at Sierra Moore.

"It seems that I was too lenient on you this morning!"

Mr. Shaw slowly unbuttoned his shirt and smiled at the person who did not know what was about to happen. "Since you are so energetic, why don't you accompany me to do something beneficial to my health?"

The person who finally understood screamed and wanted to escape. After being caught, she cursed, "Nathan Shaw, you beast, let me go!"

"I'll let you know what a real beast is later," Mr. Shaw said with a cold smile.

Because of her conflict-provoking words, Sierra Moore was unable to get out of bed for the entire day. By the time Nathan Shaw left, she did not even have the strength to lift a finger, let alone think about Emily Mason.

By the time she woke up, it was already dark outside.

Nathan Shaw was not at home. He seemed to be very busy these days and always ran out.

Sierra Moore got up and changed her clothes. Just as she was about to go to the main courtyard to see the grandfather, she received a call from Frederick Latham.

The busy man called to thank Sierra Moore on behalf of his good friend. "Fanwei said that his sister has been sent back. He asked me to thank you on his behalf."

"Are you saying that Emily Mason has already returned?" Sierra Moore thought she had heard wrong.

After hanging up the phone, she felt her gloomy mood for the whole day suddenly clear up. It turned out that Mr. Shaw was just stubborn and soft-hearted. He still cared about Sierra Moore very much.

She turned around and went back to call Nathan Shaw, wanting to hear him say this.

Nathan Shaw was very cold about this matter, and after saying a few words, he changed the subject, "Are you hungry? I asked the kitchen to leave some food for you. I'm here to pick you up."

"No need," Sierra Moore said as she walked to the entrance to change her shoes, "I'm here to look for you."

In the morning, Nathan Shaw's Uncle Shaw came back. At that time, Nathan Shaw and Sierra Moore were still rolling on the sheets in the white building. They only found out when they went out.

It was rare for Uncle Shaw to stay at home for a few days a year, so the matter of going to the company could only be canceled.

It was already past dinner time. After Sierra Moore arrived, she was led to the side hall by a servant and only came over after eating.

As for her behavior of sleeping for a day, Sierra Moore felt very embarrassed. When others were not paying attention, she secretly glared at Mr. Shaw.

If not for the fact that a certain beast couldn't eat its fill, she wouldn't be so embarrassed.

Samuel Shaw had three sons. The one he doted on the most was the eldest son. He disliked the fourth son the most. He never paid much attention to the second son.

However, he did not expect that in the end, only this son would listen to him and choose this path.

Oliver Shaw had been generous and honest since he was a child. He did not fight for anything. Among the Shaw Family's three sons, he was the easiest to be ignored.

If not for the fact that Nathan Shaw's father was disobedient back then and insisted on doing business, Oliver Shaw wouldn't have become the pride of his family today. However, the price was to separate from his wife and children.

However, now that he had returned, he no longer needed to go to such a faraway place.

Recently, a large number of personnel had been mobilized, and he was also among them. He received reliable news that the new certificate of appointment was coming down soon. He would be transferred to Philadelphia this time to serve as the mayor of Pennsylvania.

This was also the reason why he had returned so late this time.

It took a few hours from Pennsylvania to New York by plane. It would be much more convenient to go home in the future.

From a navy officer in a remote city, he had transformed into the mayor of a second-tier city. This was considered an official promotion, and this was good news.

Before Sierra Moore came, they were still talking about this matter. Seeing her come in, they spontaneously paused the topic of this man.

In front of the elders, Sierra Moore was very obedient and did not say a word. She just sat quietly next to Nathan Shaw, looking like a little wife with low eyebrows.

In Samuel Shaw's opinion, having such a well-behaved girl willing to follow Nathan Shaw, no matter how he thought about it, Nathan Shaw was on the winning side.

Therefore, Samuel Shaw was much more amiable to Sierra Moore, his granddaughter-in-law, than his disobedient grandson. He pointed at Oliver Shaw with a smile and said, "Sierra! This is your Uncle Shaw."

Now, Samuel Shaw didn't even refer to Nathan Shaw's Uncle Shaw but Sierra Moore's Uncle Shaw.

Nathan Shaw glanced at the Old Master indifferently. Then, he heard the little girl beside him call out "Uncle Shaw" shyly.

This was also the first time Oliver Shaw had seen this niece of his. A rare smile appeared on his strict face.

"Just now, I was wondering what kind of girl the granddaughter-in-law that Dad praised so much would be. Now that I see her, she is exactly as Dad said. She is beautiful, smart, and educated. Nate has good taste."

Sierra Moore had never been praised like this before. Her skin was thin, and her face immediately turned red. She secretly looked at Nathan Shaw and happened to bump into his ambiguously smiling expression.

That expression seemed to be saying, "How would they know? She is clearly a stupid and troublesome fellow!"

As a result, her face became even redder, half shy and half angry.

"Uncle Shaw, you flatter me. Actually, I am not as good as Grandpa said." Sierra Moore's face was red, but her words successfully made the men present smile.

The Fourth Master of the Shaw Family was also smiling, but his smile looked awkward no matter how much one looked at it. "Second Brother is right. This is the woman that our Eldest Mr. Shaw has taken a fancy to. How can she be lacking?"

At the same time he spoke, almost everyone turned to look at him with an unknown expression. Only Sierra Moore was still in a daze, thinking that she had been praised again.

She smiled foolishly and said to the person beside her, "Nathan Shaw, your families are so nice!"

When she first came in and saw Oliver Shaw, she thought that he was very fierce. She did not expect him to be so kind and amiable. In addition, Arthur Shaw helped her out last time, and this time he spoke up for her. She felt they were really kind!

Nathan Shaw rolled his eyes at her, thinking to himself, "She couldn't tell if it was sarcasm or not. This woman is really hopeless."
