Chapter 151 Absence Sharpens Love

After Nathan Shaw finished speaking, Sierra Moore heaved a sigh of relief.

"Nathan Shaw, will I disturb you if I do this?" Sierra Moore asked hesitantly as she thought that he had said on the phone that he was resting.

"No." Nathan Shaw got up and walked to the window. He looked at the street outside the hotel and imagined her upset expression. The corners of his mouth curled up uncontrollably.

"Do you have something to say to me?" He asked.

Sierra Moore thought that he really knew her.

After leaving the aggrieved Steven Jones behind, Sierra Moore held her phone and did not say anything. She walked into her office, closed the door, pulled up the blinds, and sat down in front of her desk.

After she sat down, she bit her lips and asked in a low voice, "When, when will you come back? You are not at home. Ruby and Margaret have been talking about you all the time."

Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "Ruby and Margaret?"

"How she could think of it?"

A muffled laughter came from the other side, and a man's pleasant voice sounded, "Do you miss me?"

After interacting with Mr. Shaw for a long time, Sierra Moore felt her face also become thicker. Now, she was no longer shy. She nodded and said, "Alright, I miss you."

Sierra Moore was so honest that it made Nathan Shaw's heart itch. Right now, he was eager for the day to quickly light up, and then he could quickly handle all the work.

He wished he could immediately fly back and hold his girl in his arms, ruthlessly taking her in his arms.

"Sisi, I want you!"

Originally, she was deeply lovesick, but his words changed her feelings. She thought to herself, "Just miss me. What do you mean by wanting me?"

Sierra Moore blushed and spat, "Nathan Shaw, do you still have any shame?"

Nathan Shaw smiled arrogantly. "Compared to face, of course, 'I want you' is more important."

He even deliberately emphasized the two words, causing Sierra Moore to blush. She could not help but curse in her heart, "Nathan Shaw, you are a pervert with a head full of horny waste material!"

"Are you shy?" Nathan Shaw asked, immediately understanding what was going on since she didn't speak.

"I'm going to be busy. Let's not talk about it for now." Of course, Sierra Moore could not admit that she was shy. She casually said that she had to work and hung up the phone.

Listening to the busy tone on the phone, Nathan Shaw felt that the smile on his lips froze.

He thought to himself, "This woman called me in the middle of the night, stirring up my desires. Not only was she not responsible for putting out the burning desires, she even dared to hang up on me!"

"Damn it!" Nathan Shaw lowered his head and looked at his "energetic brother". There was a helpless embarrassment on his face, and he could only take a shower with his mind full of evil thoughts.

Thinking of the woman far away from New York, he gritted his teeth. "Woman, watch how I deal with you when I get back."

After talking to Nathan Shaw on the phone, Sierra Moore also became abnormal. She was in a trance all day and felt that today's time passed very slowly.

When it was almost time to get off work, Susan Murphy knocked on the door and came in. She said that the department had a dinner party and everyone was going. She hoped that Sierra Moore could go with them.

If it were in the past, Sierra Moore would definitely not be willing to go. She liked quiet by nature and was most impatient to eat and drink with a group of people. She always felt that it was so noisy that it made her ears hurt.

However, she didn't want to go back today. She didn't like a home without Nathan Shaw. She always felt that it was too cold and cheerless.

Thus, she said to Susan Murphy, "Then, wait for me. I'll pack up and go with you."

After Sierra Moore packed up her things, she called the villa and told Margaret that she would not go back for dinner since she would join the company's colleagues to have a meal today, lest Margaret should wait all the time.

When Margaret heard that Sierra Moore was not going home for dinner, she was particularly nervous. She kept telling Sierra Moore on the phone not to eat food outside randomly.

After leaving the company, everyone split up.

There were more than a dozen people in their department. Those who had cars drove, while those who didn't either freeloaded or took a taxi. Anyway, they were all gathering at the destination.

The address of the dinner party was a buffet hall of a four-star hotel. This restaurant seemed to have a good reputation.

Susan Murphy left with Sierra Moore. She was lucky to sit in the boss's car, a low-key and luxurious black Bentley. She was so excited that she shouted all the way and even posted selfies to show off.

[I've finally become high-brow, hahahaha...]

Just as she sent it out, a message followed, [You won the lottery?]

Susan Murphy replied in confusion, [Why can't I be kept as a mistress?]

That person replied to her, [To keep you? Who has such a heavy taste!]

Thus, Susan Murphy cried and sent the following words, [Go away! Our friendship is over!]

When they arrived at the buffet hall, everyone greeted each other and immediately started eating.

There were all kinds of delicious food here that made one's eyes blur.

Seeing that everyone was eating happily, Susan Murphy pulled Sierra Moore over and handed her a plate. "Sierra Moore, what do you like to eat? Do you like this one?"

Susan Murphy carried a plate of salmon. Sierra Moore shook her head and said, "I don't eat Japanese food."

Someone beside her was waiting for sushi and just heard these words.

She had always been at odds with Susan Murphy in the company. When she heard Sierra Moore's rejection, she couldn't help but sneer, "Some people just like to flatter, but unfortunately, they don't appreciate it at all!"

Her voice was too loud. After she finished speaking, she deliberately picked up a plate of sashimi and said, "If Miss Moore doesn't eat it, you can give it to me! I love eating sashimi the most."

This person spoke deliberately and very loudly. Everyone else heard her words and could not help but laugh.

Her words were so direct that Susan Murphy was so embarrassed that her face turned red. She did not know where to put her hands. She only explained in a low voice, "I didn't."

Sierra Moore also felt embarrassed, but after seeing Susan Murphy's red eyes, she calmed down.

"It's better to eat less sashimi. If you eat too much, there will be parasites in your head." Sierra Moore put down the salmon in Susan Murphy's hand and changed a plate of vegetable salad. "Eat this! This is delicious and nutritious."

When the female colleague who was eating sashimi heard the words "parasites", her expression changed. Although she held back and did not vomit, she could not swallow the sashimi in her mouth no matter what.

Sierra Moore looked at her coldly. "Moreover, now that the year of horse has passed, you should kiss a sheep's ass if you want to flatter. Miss, if you don't know common sense, you can ask google. Why do you need to point it out to make everyone laugh?"

These people were clearly laughing at Susan Murphy just now, but when Sierra Moore said these words, it was as if they were laughing at her.

The female colleague was so angry that her face turned green. However, Sierra Moore was someone she could not afford to offend. She glared fiercely at Susan Murphy and could only endure this.

Just as Sierra Moore mentioned "a sheep's ass", Susan Murphy couldn't help but laugh. Seeing how Sierra Moore pissed that cunning woman away, Susan Murphy immediately felt adored and gave her a thumbs-up gesture.

"Sierra Moore, you are so awesome. When I was in the company, I couldn't win her every time. Thank you!"

Sierra Moore smiled calmly and said, "I should be the one thanking you! After all, you are the only one in the company who is willing to be my friend."

The others were either fawning over Sierra Moore or mocking her with cold words. They were all envious, and none of them was like Susan Murphy who made Sierra Moore feel at ease and say whatever she wanted.

In fact, from the moment Sierra Moore came to this company, everyone had an inexplicable hostility toward her. At that time, only Susan Murphy was willing to get close to her.

After that, Susan Murphy did not try to curry favor or distance herself from Sierra Moore just because Sierra Moore was dating Nathan Shaw.

Of course, ever since the announcement that Sierra Moore was the spokesperson for Marshall Jewelry, many people in the company had come to get close to Sierra Moore. No matter what their purposes were, she slowly was accepted by them.

Susan Murphy was a standard foodie. With delicious food, she quickly forgot about the unpleasantness just now. She pulled Sierra Moore and began to sweep the dishes crazily.

Both of them carried a lot of food, and in the end, the plates almost couldn't be put down on the table.

Before eating, Susan Murphy was busy taking photos to post on her social media.

Sierra Moore found it interesting. She copied Susan Murphy and took out her phone to take pictures. She also borrowed her beer to take a beautiful selfie. On the side, it was written that beer and fried chicken were really a perfect match.

Soon, there were comments on her iMessage friend circle. The first one was from Steven Jones. [Sister-in-law, you are so unkind! You actually didn't invite me when there was something delicious to eat.]

Following closely was Ryan Holland's. [An instant like. No explanations.]

Then, it was Sophie Lucas's. She had a drooling expression on her face. [my Sisi, you don't love me anymore. You didn't even bring me along for a big meal. I am really heartbroken.]

Behind Sophie Lucas's comment, there was a message from Steven Jones. [Be good. If she doesn't take you, I will take you. As long as you agree to be my girlfriend, I will take you to have a big meal every day.]

Sophie Lucas replied with two words, [Get lost!]

Steven Jones replied, [... It can't be! Does my current charm not work?]

The last comment was from George Young. He didn't comment on Sierra Moore's post but on Sophie Lucas's comment. [Miss Lucas, if you have time tonight, let's have dinner together?]

Sophie Lucas replied very quickly with a shy expression and one word, [Sure!]

[What?] Steven Jones sent a distraught emoji, [Georgie, you're not nice! You dare to poach my people? Do the two of you think I'm dead?]

No one paid any attention to him. Only Ryan Holland comforted him. [Good boy, you can play dead now.]

After Sierra Moore finished reading these comments, she laughed so hard that she couldn't stand straight.

"Where are you?" Nathan Shaw quickly called her.

"In the department gathering," Sierra Moore said honestly.

"Don't you know what your alcohol tolerance is? How dare you drink! Do you want to be locked in the little dark room again?" Nathan Shaw asked unhappily.

"No, I didn't drink," Sierra Moore quickly explained.

At the thought of her drunken behavior, Nathan Shaw was very worried. He could only repeatedly emphasize, "Go back home after dinner. Don't drink. Do you hear me?"

"Do I need you to tell me that?" Sierra Moore shrugged to show that she already knew.

After hanging up the phone, Nathan Shaw was still worried, so he called Ken to remind him to send Sierra Moore back early.

However, after eating, these people insisted on going to karaoke.

Sierra Moore originally didn't want to go. She didn't drink or sing, thinking to herself, "Won't that kind of place be boring to death?"

However, she could not resist Susan Murphy's pleading. "Sierra Moore, you'd better go! If you don't go, won't it be boring for me to go alone?"
