Chapter 154 A Surprise or a Shock

Everyone had heard their conversation. Seeing that Mr. Scott was so polite to Ken, everyone was a little surprised. Then, they heard Ken call Sierra Moore "Miss" and asked her for her opinion.

This time, the way everyone looked at Sierra Moore changed. This was different from before, with shock and awe.

Sierra Moore blinked her eyes. She had only asked Ken to come and save the scene. She did not expect that they would take over control. Only now did she understand that the name Mr. Shaw was really useful.

Thinking of the certain person on a business trip, Sierra Moore could not help but smile.

She thought to herself, "However, it is better not to let him know about this matter, lest he make a fuss again. When the time comes, he will definitely not allow me to go out for a long time."

In an instant, Sierra Moore looked at Finn Scott and said, "Can you get them to let him go?"

She was referring to Gabriel Carter. Although she wasn't someone who liked to meddle in other people's business, this person was actually her colleague. Even Wendy stood out, so how could she continue to remain indifferent?

When Finn Scott heard her words, his expression suddenly changed. However, when his gaze came into contact with Ken, he forced himself to suppress his anger.

He thought this person was very likely to be Nathan Shaw's woman. He could not offend her.

Finn Scott's expression changed very quickly. He spread his hands and smiled. He shrugged and said, "Of course."

Sierra Moore smiled gratefully at him and then said to Ken, "Since it's a misunderstanding, don't tell Nathan Shaw, lest he should get angry again when he finds it out."

She said this because she was worried that Nathan Shaw would blame her for being nosy and using his name to intimidate others. But in the ears of outsiders, it was a warning.

As a result, the smile on Finn Scott's face deepened. He looked at Sierra Moore as if he was looking at his own mother.

Among the people present, only Ken understood what Sierra Moore meant. He had watched the couple walk over all the way, and he knew Nathan Shaw's love and helplessness toward Sierra Moore the most.

Ken nodded and walked to Sierra Moore's side. He said with the same interrogative tone, "Margaret just called and asked when Miss would go back. She said she left you pigeon soup."

Although she was already full, when Sierra Moore heard the pigeon soup, her eyes lit up for a moment.

When she thought of Margaret's nagging when she would go back, Sierra Moore couldn't help but laugh. She looked at Ken with curved eyes. "Then, let's go back home now!"

She glanced at Gabriel Carter, who was being supported by the girl, and she said to Ken, "Can you call a car over and send my colleague and his ... friend to the hospital?"

After thinking about the wording, she was worried that the girl would be embarrassed. She was also worried that after Ken left, Mr. Scott would go back on his words. At that time, this pair of miserable lovers would be in trouble.

Ken understood what she meant and nodded. He went to the side and called someone to call the car.

"Thank you, Miss." The girl looked at Sierra Moore gratefully, and so did Gabriel Carter.

He was beaten too badly. His mouth was full of blood and he couldn't speak. His mind was a little hazy. If not for Sierra Moore, he would definitely not have escaped death today.

Seeing that Sierra Moore was unsure of him, Finn Scott sneered in his heart, but his face looked very innocent. "Why bother Brother Ken? I'll get someone to send them back."

Sierra Moore didn't trust him. When she saw the girl trembling in fear, she politely smiled and refused Mr. Scott's good intentions. "I won't trouble Mr. Scott."

Finn Scott was originally just being polite, but after hearing her words, he smiled and did not speak.

Ken was very efficient. The car arrived very quickly. The girl helped Gabriel Carter out. Sierra Moore and Wendy followed them out of the private room.

When the people in the private room saw them leave, they quickly took their things and left.

"Senior, where do you live? Let me send you off!" When they went downstairs, Sierra Moore asked Wendy.

Because they had to drink at the dinner party, Wendy didn't drive today. She looked at Sierra Moore and didn't refuse. She nodded and said, "Then, I'll have to trouble you."

The performance of this girl just now shocked Wendy once again. Although Sierra Moore was using Nathan Shaw's name, this courage made Wendy admire very much.

Wendy thought to herself, "In the past, I really misjudged her. How could such a girl be the kind of person I thought of?"

Seeing Gabriel Carter and the girl get in the taxi, Sierra Moore was relieved. Just as Ken drove the car over, she turned and said to Wendy, "Senior, let's go too!"

Wendy nodded and sat down in the back seat.

After Sierra Moore got in the car, Ken helped her close the door, went around the driver's seat, and asked about the address of Wendy.

Finn Scott followed them all the way down. When he saw Nathan Shaw's top fighter open the car door for a woman, the shock in his heart could be imagined.

Then, he made a decision that puzzled his subordinates. "Tell the brothers, that woman, don't look for trouble with her in the future."

He thought to himself, "Although the woman said that she wanted to come out to mingle around on her own, since she knows Nathan Shaw's woman, I have to give some face. How do I, Mr. Scott, lack any woman?"

There was no need to risk offending Mr. Shaw's woman for a single woman.

It would be better to avoid provoking that fiend, Mr. Shaw.

After Sierra Moore returned home, Margaret was really long-winded. She said that Sierra Moore's body was different now and that she could not sleep too late.

Sierra Moore was very respectful to this warm-hearted senior of the Shaw Family. She promised with a smile that she would go home early in the future and not go to a dinner party with her colleagues.

When Margaret heard this, she smiled until her eyes narrowed into slits. She really liked this sensible young madam.

After eating and drinking her fill, Sierra Moore suddenly had an idea.

She rang the bell to find Ken and asked him, "Ken, is there any way to buy a plane ticket without a passport and ID card?"

When Ken heard this, the first thing he thought of was that the boss had not returned those things to Miss.

Then, he thought to himself again, "Does Miss plan to run away while the boss is not around?"

However, Sierra Moore's next words broke his guess. She said with embarrassment, "Well, I want to go to San Francisco."

Ken thought to himself, "San Francisco. Mr. Shaw is on a business trip in San Francisco. Is Miss going to find him?"

Thinking of the surprise that the boss would see Sierra Moore, Ken decided to help her. "I will arrange it right away. It will be tomorrow morning at the soonest."

Although she did not know how Ken did it, the next morning, Sierra Moore successfully boarded the plane through the security check.

When Sierra Moore arrived in San Francisco, she took a taxi to the hotel, sat in the car, and called Nathan Shaw, "Nathan Shaw, are you up?"

Nathan Shaw had not woken up yet. He snorted and looked up at the time. At this time, he thought Sierra Moore should have taken a shower and been ready to go to bed.

"Sisi, do you miss me?"

He seemed to like to ask this question. It was obviously very hypocritical, but Sierra Moore was particularly cooperative today. She nodded and said, "Nateah, I've thought about you."

She thought to herself, "I missed you, so I came to find you."

Nathan Shaw was satisfied. He covered his eyes with his arms, but the smile on his lips could not be blocked. "Baby, you're so good."

Both of them were reluctant to hang up the phone, so they chatted for a while.

On the way to the hotel from the airport, there was a car accident. There was a long line of cars on the road. Sierra Moore looked out of the window anxiously. She did not know when the traffic jam would end.

The taxi driver was obviously an impatient person. After waiting for a while, he couldn't help but curse and beat the steering wheel hard.

And this voice just happened to be heard by the person on the other side of the line.

"Sierra Moore, where are you now?" Nathan Shaw suddenly woke up and sat up on the bed.

When Sierra Moore heard the driver's voice, it was too late for her to cover her phone. The voice of the person who was still in a loving mood suddenly sank eighty degrees.

"I'm in San Francisco. I'm about to reach the hotel," Sierra Moore said honestly, afraid of Mr. Shaw's tyrannical abuse.

Originally, she wanted to go directly to the hotel and give him a surprise. Sierra Moore thought about it with some annoyance.

When the car arrived at the hotel, Nathan Shaw was already waiting in the lobby downstairs. When he saw the girl coming out of the car, he finally believed that she really came to find him.

She was wearing a light blue coat which was long covering her knees, black tight jeans, and a pair of same-colored short boots.

When she got out of the car, the wind blew her hair. She raised her hand to wipe away the hair on her face. When she received the change from the driver, she politely thanked him in English.

As soon as Sierra Moore took out her suitcase from the trunk, her hand felt light and the suitcase was taken away.

When she turned around, she saw Nathan Shaw standing behind her with a frown.

"Nathan Shaw?" Her voice was slightly raised. She was surprised to see him here. She thought he would be waiting for her in the room.

It was these words "Nathan Shaw" that made his heart soften, but the expression on his face could no longer hold on.

In fact, Nathan Shaw was just a little angry, thinking to himself, "She actually ran over without saying a word. What if something happened on the way?"

Over the phone, Ken said, "Sierra Moore insisted on not letting me say it. She wanted to give you a surprise, so she did not let me tell you." However, his boss did not think so.

"A surprise?"

"I think it's more like a shock."

Just now, when he was waiting for her downstairs, his mind kept thinking that when he saw this woman later, he must give her a good beating and see if she would dare to scare him like this next time.

But seeing her suddenly appear here, Nathan Shaw felt his heart already soft to a complete mess, and he couldn't even bear to say a harsh word.

He did not want her to see that he was very happy, so he deliberately put on a straight face.

Nathan Shaw held her luggage in one hand and Sierra Moore in the other. After entering the elevator, he pursed his lips and did not speak.

Sierra Moore looked at him with a little grievance, thinking to herself, "I have come all the way here to find you. Why are you still keeping a straight face?

"Shouldn't you be very surprised and moved?"

After entering the room, Sierra Moore first shook off his hands and asked him with a nasal voice, "Nathan Shaw, what you said was a lie, right? You obviously don't want to see me."

Nathan Shaw's expression became even uglier. He thought to himself, "What did she mean by saying that it was a lie?"

They had only been apart for a few days, but he felt as if a few months had passed. If not for the matter here were too important, he would have wanted to fly back immediately. Now, she actually said that he didn't want to see her.

Nathan Shaw put down the luggage and reached out to pull the disobedient woman over. Sierra Moore was unwilling to cooperate. He directly pushed her against the wall and lowered his head to kiss her lips.
