Chapter 159 Woman, You Actually Dare to Escape Again

By the time they left the ball, Sierra Moore had already sobered up. She refused to sit in the car and insisted on letting Nathan Shaw carry her.

"Brother, my legs are sore. Just carry me!"

Nathan Shaw would never reject Sierra Moore in such a situation, so he could only accept his fate and carry her on his back.

Nathan Shaw took off his coat and draped it over her. Carrying her on his back, he slowly walked back while the car followed him from a distance.

The original four days of travel had been dragged to a week because of the appearance of Sierra Moore.

After signing the contract with Stevenson, Nathan Shaw completed his mission this time and took Sierra Moore around as a tourist.

After playing for a few days, Sierra Moore bought a lot of souvenirs and said that she would take them back to give them away.

When they were about to go back, Sierra Moore was very active in packing her luggage. She had stayed outside for several years and had never missed home like this.

She suddenly missed the villa and the dishes Margaret cooked.

It was noon by the time they arrived at New York. When they got home, Sierra Moore did not eat anything. She took a shower and went to bed to catch up on sleep. Recently, Mr. Shaw had been bullying her every night, causing her to have a serious lack of sleep.

She didn't know if it was because her thoughts were too heavy recently. When she was asleep, Sierra Moore had a dream. She dreamed of a child who looked very similar to her.

In her dream, she panicked. When she heard the child coldly ask her why she did not want him, she suddenly woke up from her dream.

Because of the trip to San Francisco, Sierra Moore took a week off. When she went back to work, she brought the gifts she bought to Susan Murphy and Wendy.

As for Steven Jones, who had come over after hearing the news, he only received a key ring as a souvenir.

Mr. Jones wanted to cry but had no tears. He ran to Nathan Shaw and complained, "Boss, I find that your upbringing is not strict! The little white rabbit is becoming more and more indifferent to me now. I don't have a share in those gifts."

"I remember she bought a lot of souvenirs." Nathan Shaw looked up at him despite his busy schedule.

"Are you talking about this?" Steven Jones took the opportunity to take out the key ring with a face full of disdain. "the Shaw Family's Eldest Young Madam gave her brother this gift? Bro, this is too shabby!"

Nathan Shaw was too lazy to look at Steven Jones. He lowered his head and said, "I think it's pretty good."

Steven Jones thought to himself, "This is pretty good?"

"Bro, you are too biased!" Steven Jones said with a constipated expression.

Not long after Sierra Moore returned, the advertising video was also put on the agenda. This matter was not a secret. Anyway, she was now a public spokesperson.

As soon as the news came out, it quickly spread.

To Sierra Moore's surprise, New York was not at the filming location this time.

Instead, it would be Provence of France, a place with a deep relationship with her. She never thought that there would be a chance to return here.

The shooting time was originally set for three days in the middle of April, just enough to avoid the golden week of May.

Time passed in the blink of an eye, but at this time, it was Sierra Moore who went on a business trip.

Nathan Shaw was a very possessive person. If not for the fact that he wanted to untie the knot in her heart, he wouldn't have asked her to advertise Marshall Jewelry.

He did not want Sierra Moore to be so far away from him, but she comforted him instead, saying that it would be only three days, and that she would come back immediately after she finished shooting the commercial.

Originally, the three days were very short, and the filming progress was very fast. Everything was going smoothly.

However, at the night before she came back, after Sierra Moore received a phone call, she left the crew without even taking her luggage as if she went crazy.

When Nathan Shaw found out about this, the crew was already preparing to return to the country at the airport.

Out of the seven people who had gone abroad together, only Sierra Moore had not returned.

It was as if she had gone missing. Her phone couldn't be connected. It was as if she had suddenly disappeared from the world. No one knew where she had gone.

She had a habit of running away before, and it was probably because the two of them had gotten along too well during this period that Nathan Shaw had neglected her initial intention.

At the thought of her escaping again, Nathan Shaw felt his heart sink. After throwing the phone, he kicked over the coffee table in front of him, and the expensive tea set shattered on the ground.

When Steven Jones received the news and rushed to the company, Nathan Shaw had already asked someone to book the fastest flight to Provence. He wanted to find the person by himself.

"Boss, don't worry. Maybe my sister-in-law has some difficulties that she has no other choice." Steven Jones pulled him back.

Mr. Jones obviously did not know how to comfort people. When Nathan Shaw heard these words, his face darkened even more.

He thought to himself, "What difficulties couldn't be told to me?

"Could it be that the words she said before she left are all lies?"

All of Marshall Jewelry's projects were handled by Steven Jones, and he previously agreed to let Sierra Moore go to Provence to shoot the commercial.

Nathan Shaw was currently unhappy with Steven Jones, yet he still took the initiative to deliver himself to Nathan Shaw's doorstep.

The more Nathan Shaw looked at Steven Jones, the angrier he got. He grabbed Steven Jones's hands which were pulling him back and he threw him to the ground. He shouted at him, "Steven! If you can't find Sierra Moore, I will throw you to the South Pole to feed the fish!"

Steven Jones fell to the ground and felt his internal organs shift. He pretended to be dead. After hearing these words, he wailed, "Bro, the fish in the South Pole are vegetarians!"

Nathan Shaw snorted, picked up his coat, and walked out.

After Ken received the call, he immediately arranged the matter. When Nathan Shaw went downstairs, Ken was already waiting at the entrance of the building.

"Boss."

Ken opened the door and Nathan Shaw got into the car. Without even returning home, he drove directly to the airport.

The most recent flight was two hours later. Nathan Shaw sat in the VIP waiting room of the airport and kept dialing Sierra Moore's phone, but what he heard was always the sound of a cold machine.

Although Nathan Shaw personally went to look for Sierra Moore, it was easier said than done to find her in such a big place like Provence.

Walking out of the airport, Nathan Shaw had regretted it for 101 times. He regretted returning Sierra Moore's identity documents to her.

He thought to himself, "This woman actually took things to run away. After finding her this time, I must break her legs and lock her at home. I will never believe her again."

As soon as he got off the plane, someone drove a car to pick him up.

Considering that this was France and his sphere of influence had not infiltrated this place at all, Nathan Shaw had someone drive the car directly to the police station and ask the local police to help find Sierra Moore.

Due to the orders from the higher-ups, they quickly found Sierra Moore's whereabouts. The last time she appeared was at Marseilles Airport, and then she disappeared.

As Nathan Shaw looked at the woman who came out of the airport, the coldness in his eyes almost froze.

He took a plane to Marseille overnight and searched the streets and alleys for a week, but there was no clue at all. He almost went to the newspaper office to stick up "Missing Person" notices.

During this week, Sierra Moore's phone could not be connected.

In fact, it was not that Sierra Moore did not answer the phone on purpose. It was just that she had left in a hurry. She had only brought her backpack with her. Her clothes and plug were all left in her luggage, which was in the hotel.

Just as Nathan Shaw arrived at Marseille, Sierra Moore found the charity house that had called her.

The director of the charity house told Sierra Moore that the family she had sponsored all these years had an accident half a year ago. Only a child was left.

The relatives were unwilling to take the child in, so they sent him to a charity house in the city.

This child seemed to have a psychological shadow. He didn't like to communicate with people. He always sat there quietly for a day.

The people of the charity house all felt sorry for the child who was so obedient and sensible. They were also very reassured about him. But two months ago, the child suddenly disappeared.

After such a thing happened, the charity house immediately called the police, but after so long, they still could not find the whereabouts of the child.

The people of the charity house blamed themselves. They learned from the child's parents' neighbors that this family had been sponsored in the past few years.

They felt that it was necessary to find this sponsor, so they found Sierra Moore's school through special channels and got her contact information.

Hearing that the child had been missing for more than two months, Sierra Moore was very worried, but there was nothing she could do.

After leaving the charity house, Sierra Moore felt as if her body had been hollowed out and her brain could no longer think.

The car opposite her was honking the horn, but she still walked in the middle of the road blankly. Accompanied by a harsh braking sound, she fell in front of the car.

Leo was the child that she had sponsored for so many years, but she had never seen that child. Even his name was only known to her when the director of the charity house had said it today.

Now that he had lost his parents and left the charity house, he should be wandering alone outside. When thinking of this, Sierra Moore felt her heart clench.

It was as if once she closed her eyes, she would be able to see his cold and hungry appearance.

She suddenly woke up from her dream.

When Sierra Moore woke up, she stared at the ceiling above her. She could not come back to her senses for a long time until she found that there was another pair of eyes looking at her in the room.

She turned around and saw the boy from back then who seemed to have never left. He sat on the sofa beside the bed and looked at her quietly.

"Jackie?"

Sierra Moore rubbed her eyes, feeling that she was hallucinating. She thought to herself, "How could I possibly see Jack Lee here?"

Hearing that familiar address, Jack Lee felt his heart twitch. He stood up and walked toward her. "You're awake? Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?"

Unexpectedly, this person really was Jack Lee. Sierra Moore looked at him in shock and hurriedly got up, but because her body was too weak, she fell back.

Without the expected pain, she fell to a pair of arms.

When he caught her, Jack Lee's eyes were full of worry, but the blame in his tone was not so obvious. "Why don't you cherish yourself so much?"

Ever since he left the hotel that day, Sierra Moore had never heard such an intimate tone from him.

Thinking about the past ten years of pampering, she felt her nose twitch uncontrollably and her eyes turn red.

She wanted to call him, but when she thought that this person no longer remembered her, Sierra Moore bit her lower lip and did not dare to cry. "Why are you here?"

Seeing her ask so gingerly, Jack Lee felt extremely distressed.

He thought to himself, "Why am I here?"

He also wanted to know the answer.

Jack Lee held Sierra Moore's shoulder and placed a pillow behind her. He sat by the bed and looked at her. "You called my phone before you fainted."

After he said this, he kept looking at Sierra Moore as if he wanted to find the answer from her eyes.

Sierra Moore's reaction was beyond his expectations. She looked at him in surprise as if she had just found out about it.
