Lisa sat down. Without waiting for Nathan Shaw to ask, she took the initiative to say, "She asked me to help her persuade you. President, I think you can sit down and have a good talk."
"Alright."
Nathan Shaw nodded lightly and leaned against the soft sofa to light a cigarette. "Did she mention anyone else?"
Lisa nodded and said with a straight face, "Nates, she asked me to find someone for her."
At night, Nathan Shaw still came back very late. It was dark in the villa. Wendy and Ruby Smith had already fallen asleep, leaving only a light at the door.
When he reached the second floor, he stopped unconsciously and stood at the door. It was as if he could hear the shallow breathing inside of the woman with an ugly sleeping appearance.
"Sisi." He reached out his hand, wanting to pass through the tightly closed door, touch her cheek, and kiss her eyebrows, but his footsteps ultimately gradually distanced from her.
The bedroom on the third floor was in the same position as the one on the second floor. Nathan Shaw pushed open the door and entered the room in the dark. He pulled off the tie around his neck and collapsed on the bed.
"Ah!"
With a soft cry, Nathan Shaw almost immediately bounced up.
The lights in the room turned on and a furry head came out from the quilt. She looked around and then fixed her eyes on one place. "Nathan Shaw, you are back!"
"Why are you here?" As he looked at the person who was rubbing her eyes under the quilt, the shock in Nathan Shaw's heart could be imagined.
However, when he thought of what he had seen outside Marseilles Hospital, the softness that had just risen in Nathan Shaw's eyes was forcibly suppressed.
Seeing that Nathan Shaw was standing by the bed without moving, Sierra Moore lifted the quilt and walked to him.
Smelling the scent of alcohol on his body, she frowned and said, "Have you eaten something? Wendy made bone soup today. Shall I cook a bowl of noodles for you?"
Her voice was soft and it was obvious that she had just woken up. Seeing her standing in front of him, Nathan Shaw almost couldn't help but raise his hand to touch her hair.
Just as he moved his hand, he stopped it. He was still angry with her. Moreover, he was very clear that this woman loved to take a mile when given an inch.
"No need!" Nathan Shaw glanced at her coldly. "You can leave now. I need to rest."
How heartless!
It was clearly a month ago that he doted on her endlessly, but now, he was treating her like an enemy. He didn't even bother to look at her, and he spoke in such a cold tone.
Sierra Moore was mentally prepared to come here today. Lisa was right. Whoever started the trouble shall be the one to end it. She and Nathan Shaw could not continue like this.
Sierra Moore stood there and looked at Nathan Shaw for a moment, then she obediently left.
This woman really left. Nathan Shaw was so angry that his head hurt. He threw his clothes on the ground and went to the bathroom.
The cold water seemed to be unable to extinguish the anger in his heart. The person who had taken a shower wore a nightgown and stood coldly by the window to answer the phone.
"Has there been any movement from Hongsheng recently? Continue to buy their shares with the name of the Italian company. Nates, continue, and don't let the other party notice. Arrange the time for the cooperation case in South Africa. I will go there personally."
There was a slight noise behind him. It was especially clear on such a night. Nathan Shaw turned around and saw the person who had returned.
Seeing the busy figure, Nathan Shaw felt his heart move slightly. He hurriedly said something to the person on the phone and hung up.
Seeing him finish the call, Sierra Moore smiled and said, "If you're done, come over and have some noodles!"
Nathan Shaw walked over and smelled the fragrance coming from the bowl. His sense of taste had long been hooked up, but he could not let her scheme succeed. He was about to reach out to wave hands.
"Who asked you to be so meddlesome?"
He suddenly turned hostile. Fortunately, Sierra Moore reacted quickly and hurried to use her arm to protect the food. As a result, the soup in the bowl spilled out, and the back of her hand was red.
"So hot, so hot." Sierra Moore grimaced in pain but did not dare to let go.
Nathan Shaw's attention was focused on the back of her burning hand. Seeing that she was still holding the bowl like a treasure, he shouted at her angrily, "Idiot, hurry up and let go!"
Unexpectedly, Sierra Moore shook her head and said, "No, I cooked it for a long time."
Even if he was angry, his anger should be gone when he heard this.
Nathan Shaw took the bowl from her hand and put it aside. He pulled her to the bathroom to wash up. When he saw the burn on the back of her hand, his eyes suddenly felt bitter.
Her hand turned even redder after it was washed by the water. Nathan Shaw glared at her fiercely for a moment before going downstairs to bring the medical kit back.
As he helped her put on the medicine, he couldn't help but scold her, "Is the food more important than your hand? Sierra Moore, are you stupid?"
Sierra Moore was so angry that her neck shrank. She pursed her lips but she still insisted, "I was just afraid that you would be hungry. Why are you so fierce?"
His heart suddenly softened. Nathan Shaw turned his gaze away and forced himself not to look at the wound on her hand. He walked over and sat down to eat the noodles.
The soup was boiled with bones and the thick soup was very fragrant to be used to cook noodles.
The bowl of noodles was quickly emptied, but his stomach was even more empty. Why?
Seeing that he had finished his noodles and did not speak, Sierra Moore wanted to go over and take a look. Unexpectedly, just as she stood up, she heard a low roar full of endurance, "Sit down."
"Err"
She thought to herself, "What kind of temper is this master throwing?"
Sierra Moore did not dare to provoke him, so she could only sit there obediently and look at him with her big eyes. "Well, are you not full?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw Nathan Shaw stand up and walk toward her. He questioned fiercely, "Why did you come?"
"Why?"
Sierra Moore tilted her head to look at him. In fact, she also wanted to know why she had been thinking about this question when she had just cooked noodles.
In fact, the answer was so obvious.
"I couldn't sleep yesterday. When I woke up in the morning, I happened to see you coming back. You look very pale. I was afraid that you didn't eat on time. I was afraid that you would drink with an empty stomach. I was afraid that you wouldn't take good care of yourself. Oh..."
Her lowered head was dragged up by a hand, and her lips that kept opening and closing were bitten by another pair of cold thin lips. He was fiercely eating her lips into his own mouth.
Sierra Moore tried hard to open her eyes wide to see clearly. The remaining words that she hadn't finished yet were swallowed into Nathan Shaw's stomach.
His cold lips were ignited, devouring her energy bit by bit, making her unable to resist.
When Nathan Shaw shifted his attention away from her lips, Sierra Moore finally had a chance to speak. She pushed the person on her. "Nathan Shaw, get up first. I have something to tell you."
"If you have something to say, we can talk about it tomorrow," Nathan Shaw replied in a hurry.
"But you just ate noodles and didn't brush your teeth." Sierra Moore avoided his lips approaching her and frowned.
Nathan Shaw narrowed his eyes and looked at her for a moment. His eyes were deep and he said seriously, "Then, help me brush my teeth." After saying that, he pressed his lips against hers again.
After enjoying wonderful sex, Nathan Shaw leaned against the bed and quietly lit a cigarette.
The person next to him was sleeping soundly. Her breath tickled his body. She was a little dependent, but he was still very at ease.
Forcing himself to not see her, he did not know if it was her or himself who was punished.
Nathan Shaw suddenly realized that he was really stupid. He had long known about her past. Jack Lee had occupied almost half of her life.
They were childhood sweethearts, going to school together, going home together, and even studying abroad together.
During the ten years without Nathan Shaw involved in her life, they stayed together every day.
Sierra Moore had once said Jack Lee was a very, very important person to her. She had clearly been abandoned by that person, but she still had a place for him in her heart.
Knowing that Jack Lee was going to get married, she hid on the balcony and cried.
Jack Lee's fiance treated Sierra Moore with ill intentions, but Sierra Moore asked Nathan Shaw to let her go. This was what the saying love the house and its crows meant.
Now that Jack Lee was back, she couldn't wait to go back to his side. Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "Is she so unwilling to let him go?"
Lowering his head to look at the person leaning on him, Nathan Shaw really wanted to ask her personally, "During the few days in Marseilles, were you also lying beside him like this?"
"Did he also kiss your face and your lips like this?"
"Has he ever seen such a shy and charming appearance of yours?"
Nathan Shaw couldn't think any further. He pinched the cigarette and the room fell into darkness.
Sierra Moore had not slept so soundly for a long time. She did not even have a dream at night and slept all the way until dawn.
Nathan Shaw had not had a good rest for a long time. It was rare for him to sleep so well, so he simply did not go to the company and hugged his wife to sleep late.
Sierra Moore woke up in his arms and smelled cigarettes. She knew that he had smoked last night.
She thought to herself, "He must have had a hard time these past few days!"
Every day, he only left early and came back late to avoid her.
She continued to think, "This person is really good-looking. Why does a man have to be so good-looking?" Her fingers gently stroked his good-looking eyebrows, his tall nose, and his thin lips.
She thought to herself, "It is said that people with thin lips are the most ruthless. Are you also like this?"
"At one moment, you are tender and at the other, you are cold."
She approached her head slowly to him and kissed softly on his cold lips. "Nathan Shaw, there are some things that I can't explain to you clearly. Don't force me anymore, okay?"
She rested her head on Nathan Shaw's shoulder and said softly, "I know you're awake. If you don't want to see me, then close your eyes and listen to me."
Sierra Moore sniffed and put her hands around his waist. "You know I'm stupid. I can't guess what you are thinking. After returning from Marseille, you refused to talk to me. I don't know what you are angry about."
"If it is because of Jackie, maybe I used to have some attachment to him in the past, but since I was with you, I have slowly let go of the past."
"When I was young, Jackie doted on me very much. When I was in school, other children bullied me because I didn't have parents. He fought with other children for me."
"I was stupid at that time and always got lost easily. Every time, he was the one who found me, and then he followed me wherever I went."
"At that time, the Lee Family and the Moore Famiy intended to have a marriage engagement. Mr. Lee and Mrs. Lee also treated me very well. They all said that I would be his wife when I grew up, and I always thought so."
"But something happened later. Whether he was intentional or not, the opportunity was missed. Even without you, I wouldn't be with him anymore."
"In my eyes, Jackie is like my own brother."
"It was really an accident that he went to Marseille. I fainted on the side of the road and he went to the hospital to see me. There was really nothing going on between us."
