Chapter 176 Escape from Death

Sierra Moore did not notice the change in George Young. What she was worried about now was the kind of reaction he would have if Nathan Shaw really saw the message.

"George."

Perhaps it was because he shared this secret with her that Sierra Moore was much more relaxed when facing him than before.

However, the most important thing now was to find Nathan Shaw. She wanted to explain the text message to him in front of him. She suddenly did not want to separate with him.

"Do you know where Nathan Shaw is? He didn't come back last night, and his phone isn't connected." Sierra Moore hesitated.

As he heard her words, the corners of George Young's mouth curled up slightly. His eyes, which were not covered by the lens, reflected her somewhat anxious face.

The fish had finally taken the bait, and it wasn't in vain for him to waste so much time talking.

George Young did not answer immediately. Instead, he looked at Sierra Moore for a moment, seemingly considering how to speak.

Seeing him in such a difficult position, Sierra Moore suddenly panicked.

Just as she was about to speak, she saw George Young lower his eyelids and sigh softly, "Nate is in the hospital."

"Hospital?"

Sierra Moore suddenly stood up and knocked down the cup next to her. The water flowed along the edge of the table, dirtying her beautiful skirt and shoes. She did not care about these.

"Nathan Shaw was fine yesterday. Why did he go to the hospital? What is going on?" She asked, staring at the person sitting opposite her, her eyes trembling.

George Young was very satisfied with her reaction, but he still pretended to be embarrassed as if he was still hesitating about whether he should tell her the truth.

Sierra Moore's patience was almost negligible when it came to Nathan Shaw. Her eyes were red as she begged him, "George, tell me honestly, is Nathan Shaw..."

Seeing that she misunderstood it, George Young did not want to curse his brother, so he quickly said to her, "No, Nate is fine."

After saying that, he thought that something was wrong. He thought to himself, "Nathan Shaw's situation couldn't be considered to be fine, right?"

Moreover, Nathan Shaw was still in the hospital and had not come to yet. This time, George Young really could not help but sigh from the bottom of his heart.

He had seen the car. The body of the car had broken the railing, and one of the wheels had fallen off. It was so close that he would not be able to be saved.

Thinking of the scene yesterday, George Young was still a little scared. He thought Nate was really too mischievous this time.

George Young picked up the glasses on the table and put them back on. He looked at Sierra Moore worriedly. "Nate was worried that you wouldn't be able to find him when you woke up. On the way home, he had a car accident on the highway..."

Car accident!

Sierra Moore's mind was in chaos, and only the last sentence of George Young was left in her ears. "Nathan Shaw had a car accident!"

George Young saw that her expression was not right and was about to explain to her when she suddenly ran out like she had gone crazy.

The hospital was nearby. As long as she crossed the road, she would be able to see it. Sierra Moore had been here several times, so she was not unfamiliar with this place.

When George Young chased her out, the indicator light on the sidewalk was red. Everyone else was waiting on both sides of the road. Only one person ignored the traffic rules and crossed the road during the red light.

This person was Sierra Moore.

Because of her actions, many drivers suddenly stepped on the brakes when they arrived in front of her. Ear-piercing sparking sounds could only be heard. Many of the cars near the zebra line ended up in a pileup due to emergency brakes.

The car windows rolled down, and the rear-ended car drivers cursed. The perpetrator didn't even look back and swaggered away.

Seeing Sierra Moore safely cross the road, George Young was shocked to find that his back was covered in a cold sweat. He was almost scared to death by this woman just now.

When Sierra Moore arrived at the hospital, she realized that she had no idea where Nathan Shaw was.

The hospital was a place where there were cheers and cries. It was filled with the unpleasant smell of disinfectant. Every person who came here was in a hurry.

After experiencing that unpleasant memory, Sierra Moore thought that her heart had already calmed down. She was not even afraid of death, so there was nothing to crush her.

However, when she heard about Leo's disappearance and Nathan Shaw's car accident, she once again experienced that fear. It was more unacceptable than death.

Sierra Moore walked to the emergency room in a daze. When she heard someone ask how to get to the fee office, she remembered to ask for help.

She grabbed a passing nurse and asked, "Miss Nurse, do you know where Nathan Shaw is?"

"What Nathan Shaw? I don't know. If you don't want to see a doctor, don't stay here. Don't you see that everyone is busy?"

The nurse was shocked by Sierra Moore, so her attitude was not good. After saying that gruffly, she shook off Sierra Moore's hand and left.

This feeling of being disliked was really bad.

"My boyfriend had a car accident. Can you tell me where he is now? His name is Nathan Shaw," Sierra Moore bit her lips and asked the other nurses.

Her words eventually ended with sobbing.

Many people died every day in the hospital. It was common for the family members of the patients to cry and make trouble. However, a delicate girl crying like this still attracted the attention of many people.

"What happened?" This matter alarmed the head nurse, and she came over to ask.

A nurse next to her explained, "This girl seems to have a relative caught in a car accident, but she is crying like this and can't provide information about the patient at all. We can't check it."

The head nurse understood the psychology impact on the patient's family very well. She squatted down and asked Sierra Moore, "Miss, why did you come to the hospital? Is there something wrong with your body?"

As she saw the warm smile on the head nurse's face, tears welled up and swilred in her eyes. She shook her head forcefully and said, "It's not me. It's my boyfriend. He had a car accident, but I don't know where he is."

After working in the hospital for so many years, the head nurse had gotten used to this kind of common situation, but seeing Sierra Moore like this, the head nurse could not help but feel her heart tighten.

She patted Sierra Moore on the shoulder and comforted her, "Don't cry first. Tell me what the patient's name is. I'll check it for you, okay?"

Perhaps because the head nurse's calm expression comforted Sierra Moore, she gradually stopped crying and went to the front desk with the head nurse to check the information.

The head nurse personally looked up the registration book at the front desk and called out the latest admission record on the computer. Then, she found that Nathan Shaw was in the ICU for observation.

She said to Sierra Moore, "Miss, don't worry. Your boyfriend is out of danger. I'll get someone to take you to see him now."

"Thank you!" Sierra Moore bit her lips and nodded fiercely.

The head nurse smiled at her and called a young nurse to take her to the ICU area.

"It's here, but we can't go in here. You can just watch him from outside!" The nurse took Sierra Moore to the door of the ICU and left.

Through the glass, Sierra Moore looked at the person lying on the bed. Her tears were like broken pearls that were unable to stop flowing.

She lightly knocked on the glass and repeated in a hoarse voice, "Nathan Shaw, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Every time she said "I'm sorry", she was filled with deep self-blame.

If she hadn't been willful yesterday and if she hadn't sent that message to Nathan Shaw, he wouldn't have rushed back and there wouldn't have been an accident.

She thought it was all her fault.

When George Young came over and saw the person who was crying outside the ICU, he felt very guilty. Perhaps he overestimated Sierra Moore's ability to bear.

"Sierra Moore."

George Young walked over and helped Sierra Moore up. "Don't cry. I'll get someone to bring you some clothes. You can go in and see Nate after you change your clothes."

"George, thank you!" Sierra Moore suddenly turned to look at him as she heard these words.

Seeing her like this, Damien George forced a smile. To be honest, he regretted what he had said to her. He should not have used Nathan Shaw's past to make her stay.

After Sierra Moore went in, she stopped crying and just sat quietly by the bed to accompany Nathan Shaw.

George Young thought to himself, "Perhaps she is afraid of disturbing his rest!"

George Young frowned and thought to himself, "When one day you know the truth of the matter, don't blame me. I also hope that you can be together well."

Twenty-four hours after entering the hospital, Nathan Shaw's condition had stabilized, so he was transferred from ICU to an ordinary ward overnight.

On this day, Sierra Moore did not leave the hospital. She did not even dare to close her eyes. She always felt that once she closed her eyes, she could see what he looked like when he had an accident.

Steven Jones said that when Nathan Shaw was rescued from the car, his face and body were covered in blood. It was so scary that Steven Jones would never forget it for the rest of his life.

Nathan Shaw had been unconscious for a day, and the anesthetic effect on his body had already passed.

So, as soon as he woke up, he felt the pain coming from all over his body, especially his chest, as if he had been tossed by a truck. Even his breathing was painful.

After his thoughts cleared, Nathan Shaw immediately recalled what had happened yesterday. When he saw the text message from Sierra Moore, everything went out of control.

He thought to himself, "The air is filled with the smell of disinfectant. This should be the hospital."

When he opened his eyes, it was pitch black in front of him. He thought it was night.

He felt his arm seem to be pressed down by something. It was very heavy and numb. Nathan Shaw tried to lift his arm, but just as he moved, the thing on his arm moved.

With a sound of a crack.

With a light sound, the light at the bedside lit up.

Under the light, Sierra Moore looked at the person on the bed who was looking at her coldly. Her nose twitched and she choked with emotion, "Nathan Shaw, you're finally awake."

She thought to himself, "He was so quiet when he was asleep that this was no longer like him!"

Although his eyes were cold when he looked at her.

He actually still minded it!

In fact, Nathan Shaw thought of the text message before the accident. He didn't know why, but at that time, he suddenly felt uneasy.

And his emotions came so strongly that he had such a big reaction.

The moment he fainted, he was still thinking that if this woman dared to break up with him, he would really break her legs and make her unable to go anywhere.

So, at that time, what he wanted to do was to go home and never let that woman escape again.

But now, he suddenly did not want to care about what was written in the message.
