Chapter 21 Not So Kind

As he was seeing her look as if she was facing a great enemy, Nathan Shaw's lips curled up, and there was no warmth in his eyes. "Be good and eat first. I'll tell you when we get back."

Sierra Moore was deeply suspicious of his words, but she was really hungry. It would be a waste not to eat. She did not want to make her stomach feel bad.

There was obviously an undercurrent between the two of them, but in the eyes of outsiders, they were behaving intimately.

The four men talked about business. Sierra Moore had nothing to do, so she devoted herself to rewarding her stomach. Because her right hand was injured, it was inconvenient to pick up food with her left hand. She dropped her food after several times.

She was thin-skinned, to begin with, and now that four men were looking at her, her face was red with embarrassment.

Just as she was lowering her head and eating the rice, a piece of ribs suddenly appeared in her bowl. It was the one that she had picked up three times and had not picked up.

Sierra Moore raised her head and looked at Nathan Shaw in surprise. The latter was still talking to the three people as if he had not noticed the situation on her side at all.

She thought to herself, "It must be that I am thinking too much. How could the bastard do such a thing?"

Sierra Moore thought as she gnawed on the ribs. "Could it be Steven Jones? He saw that my hand was injured and he couldn't bear to see it, so he helped me pick up the food? Besides, other than him, no one else could help me here!"

Feeling the gaze from the side, Sierra Moore turned around and happened to see the deep meaning in Steven Jones's eyes that he had no time to hide.

Sierra Moore smiled politely at him, but his smile had a deeper meaning.

After eating a few mouthfuls, Sierra Moore finally realized that the food in her bowl was endless.

Just now, she had been staring at Steven Jones, so she was sure that he was not the one who picked up these dishes. Sierra Moore quickly looked at Nathan Shaw, but the latter still did not look at her.

Although she didn't understand why Nathan Shaw suddenly changed his personality, Sierra Moore didn't think too much about it. After so many things happened, she was already quite at ease. She lowered her head and concentrated on eating.

It was just that this pair of iron chopsticks could not be used properly, it would be great if she could have a spoon.

The beeper on the table lit up, and the waitress guarding the door immediately came in. "What can I help you?"

"Get her a spoon," Nathan Shaw said in a low voice.

This time, Sierra Moore reacted very quickly. She raised her head and looked at him immediately.

At this moment, astonishment thundered through her mind. She was thinking that whether this man really knew how to read minds.

Otherwise, how could he know what she was thinking?

A spoon and someone helping to pick up the food saved Sierra Moore a lot of trouble. The more Sierra Moore ate, the happier she became. She had eaten porridge and noodles for the past few days. Today, she finally made up for it.

After the meal, the waitress brought over the dessert. There was only one serving and it was placed in front of Sierra Moore alone.

It was a piece of caramel pudding, which was her favorite flavor.

She thought to herself, "Is this dessert given by the clubhouse for free? It can't be such a coincidence, right?"

The hot tears gathered in her eyes. Sierra Moore gritted her teeth and ate the pudding with small bites.

In the past, when she was eating outside, Jack Lee would always help her order a cup of pudding. Her memory was already very vague, so vague that she almost thought it was something from her previous life.

The clubhouse was built on the mountain, and the scenery here was so good beyond words.

Sierra Moore stood next to the car and looked at the small bridge not far away. Steven Jones was holding Nathan Shaw's shoulder and talking to him.

Although Nathan Shaw's tone was indifferent when he talked to people, Sierra Moore could feel that he treated this person differently from others. She thought they must be very familiar with each other and were very good friends!

Sierra Moore lowered her head and kicked the stone under her feet. This was her favorite thing to do when she was bored and in a daze. She didn't even notice when Nathan Shaw came over.

Because of a cup of pudding, Sierra Moore's mood instantly fell to the bottom of the valley.

The car was still driving very fast on the way back, but she did not say a word. When the car stopped, she found that Nathan Shaw did not drive the car back to the villa.

As far as the eye could see, there was only a mountain road winding to the horizon.

There were all kinds of sports cars parked at the foot of the mountain. In the middle of the field, there was a woman wearing a bikini. A pair of white boots made her whole person look slender. The colorful flags in her hands were waving and she was performing a sexually suggestive dance.

Sierra Moore was still thinking about where this place was.

She wondered why this scene looked so familiar.

At this time, a car came over from the side.

It was a Maybach convertible. The car window was opened, revealing a head of red hair. It was Steven Jones, whom she had just met at the clubhouse.

Steven Jones seemed to like to laugh, his red hair fluttering in the wind.

He looked through the car window and yelled to this side, "Hey, Nathan, today's bet is a bit special. The loser will exchange a female companion with the other party. Do you want to bet?"

Sierra Moore finally understood where she had seen this scene before. She thought this was the racing she often saw on TV.

"Wait, the female companion that Steven Jones has just mentioned, isn't he talking about me?"

"What does he mean by exchanging female companions?" Sierra Moore held the seatbelt with both hands and asked Nathan Shaw, "Don't tell me you want to use me as bait!"

"I won't lose!" Nathan Shaw turned to look at her coldly.

"Please, this is not the main point at all, okay?"

"If you want to go crazy, don't bring me into it. If you want a female companion, go find someone else. I'll wait for you downstairs!" Sierra Moore shouted at him angrily.

Naturally, the car door could not be opened. Sierra Moore pulled it twice but could not open it. She looked back at him angrily. "Let me get out of the car."

She couldn't get out of the car. Nathan Shaw saw the action instructions and pushed the gear forward. The car slowly slid forward. "Sit tight. It's about to start."

When Sierra Moore saw that the car next to her had moved to the starting point, she was so scared that she slammed the door hard. "I won't go. Why should I go crazy with you? Let me get out of the car."

Soon, Sierra Moore's voice was drowned out by the loud engine sound.

One couldn't imagine how beautiful the scenery was when two rows of dozens of luxury cars set off almost at the same time while speeding along the mountain road in the distance.

Nathan Shaw drove very fast. She had never experienced the thrill of rapid speed. Only then did Sierra Moore know that he had been holding back earlier.

The road in front of her seemed to have flown up. With a speed that could not be captured by the naked eyes, Sierra Moore screamed in fear as she watched the cars pass by one after another.

"Youre insane"

She couldn't remember what she had cursed. There were several times when she thought she was going to die and her heart flew out of her throat.

Although she felt it was incredible to see others racing when she was in France, she had never had such a personal experience. The feeling of passing by death was unforgettable.

Later, she was too tired to scream again. She only knew to hold the handrail tightly, since she was forced to feel the thrill of rapid speed with him.

Closing her eyes, she felt one moment after another when she was on the verge of death, which broke her just like that.

Nathan Shaw's car drove past the finish line and he did not stop to enjoy the audience's shouting. The car turned quickly and drove down the mountain, whistling through the air.

After an unknown period, the car finally stopped.

Sierra Moore trembled as she loosened her seat belt. After getting out of the car, she squatted on the side of the road and vomited all the food she had just eaten.

It was only then that she realized that the bastard must have done it on purpose after the lunch at the clubhouse. She knew that he was not so kind. If she had known earlier, she would not have eaten so much. Now, she felt even worse.

She sat on the side of the road and felt the wind blowing in the distance. There was a salty taste, just like the taste of tears.

In the car, Nathan Shaw lit a cigarette and watched her sit on the ground after vomiting. She was motionless, like a statue on the side of the road.

The wind here was very strong, messing up her long hair. For no reason, he thought back to the morning when she was about to leave. As for the reason for his anger at that time, even he could not explain it clearly.

The image of Sierra Moore in his memory had long been blurred, and the current her as well as her six years ago became already so greedy in his eyes.

He thought to himself, "Why do I insist on forcing her to stay? Since she took my money, she should scram far away. Since she is back now, don't blame me for being impolite. After spending so much money, I have to take back something from her."

The phone in the car rang, and Nathan Shaw picked up the phone.

Ken's voice came from the receiver, "Mr. Shaw, the information you want has been sent to your email five minutes ago. The mobile phone you ordered has also been sent to the company. Do you need me to send it to you now?"

"No need!"

Nathan Shaw was about to hang up when he suddenly remembered something. "Go to the supermarket and help me buy something."

On the way back, the two of them were at peace.

The car stopped at the villa's door. Sierra Moore got out of the car and did not look back when she heard the engine sound behind her.

She did not know when the wound on her hand had split open. It was dyed red with gauze, and it was uncomfortable to stick to her hand, so she simply removed it.

Nathan Shaw did not come back, so naturally, dinner was not settled. However, after what happened in the afternoon, she had no appetite. She went back to her room and fell asleep.

When she woke up from her hunger in the middle of the night, she thought of the sugar candies in the fridge in a daze.

When Sierra Moore opened the fridge, she felt a chill run down her spine and her entire body shivered. Then, she froze.

She remembered that at noon, the only thing she could eat in the fridge was two packs of childish sugar candies, but now the fridge was full of all kinds of snacks.

This scene was too weird. Sierra Moore attributed it to her fantasy out of hunger.

She immediately closed the refrigerator door, and her vision returned to darkness. The large room was so empty and quiet that only the sound of the refrigerator operating could be heard.

After a few breaths of time, Sierra Moore gently opened the fridge door again.

This time, she saw clearly that there was a lot of food in the refrigerator, including yogurt, cake, sandwiches, hams, noodles, eggs, and even salad sauce.

Her stomach was extremely hungry, especially after she saw these delicacies.

Sierra Moore was too lazy to think about where these things came from. She reached out and took out a box of cake and yogurt.

In the middle of the night, she was the only one in the entire house. She turned on a dim light and began to eat. While she was eating, her nose suddenly felt sore.

If anyone among her father, mother, aunt and Jack Lee were by her side now, she would not be as helpless as she was now.

That night, Nathan Shaw did not return home.
