Chapter 35 Impossible to Guess His Thoughts

Hearing Steven Jones's words, Nathan Shaw felt the corners of his eyes twitch violently.

He thought to himself, "This girl really dares to say anything!"

However, after listening to Steven Jones's complaints, Mr. Shaw gave him an expressionless look. "Are you done? If you are done, go out and do your work."

"No! I haven't finished yet! You don't know how hateful that girl is. It's fine if she doesn't welcome me, but she even dares to be impudent in front of me..."

The order to leave was so obvious, but Steven had no consciousness and was still garrulously saying ill words about the kitten on the side, successfully stirring up Nathan's determination to shield his own girl.

Nathan Shaw used the simplest method to shut Steven Jones up. He picked up the phone and informed his subordinate. "Lisa, accompany Mr. Jones to the business reception tonight."

Steven Jones was speechless.

While Nathan Shaw was not paying attention, Steven Jones tried to sneak to the door.

After hanging up the phone, Nathan Shaw picked up the mobile phone and looked at it. There was no text message or phone call. He wondered why the girl had not called to ask him.

He thought to himself, "Want to resign? Hmph, it's not that easy."

One of the two of them was supposed to take the initiative. Nathan Shaw hesitated for a moment and dialed Sierra Moore's number. "How was your first day at work? Are you get used to it?"

Sierra Moore cursed in her heart, "You are the only one who is used to it!"

"Why aren't you saying anything?" Nathan Shaw frowned.

Sierra Moores anger grew with every word he spoke. She suppressed her anger and said, "You know the answer. Whats meaning of asking?"

Thinking of her angry appearance, Nathan Shaw felt his mood suddenly become cheerful. He couldn't wait to see his kitten get angry.

He looked at the time. It was already time to get off work, so he said to her, "Wait for me at the door. I'll get down immediately."

On the other side, Steven Jones, who had successfully slipped to the door, was just thinking about escaping from Mr. Shaw's claw when Lisa walked over as soon as the door opened. She smiled at him flawlessly. "Mr. Jones, I'm ready. Let's go!"

Steven Jones looked at the beauty with a grievance, "Can I say no?"

Lisa was impartial. She looked at her watch and said, "The reception party will start at seven o'clock. Mr. Jones, apart from the time on the road, you still have an hour to get dressed."

In other words, he had to go.

Steven Jones felt that he was a tragedy, thinking to himself, "Why did I come to look for Nathan Shaw when I was angry at his kitten? The two of them were in the same group."

Feeling wronged, Steven Jones hid in a corner and called George Young to complain, "Georgie, Nathan is so bad. He still needs to squeeze out the labor force after work, and the kitten he raised is as bad as him."

When she received Nathan Shaw's call, Sierra Moore had just come out of the office. She was still upset about what had happened during the day.

She did not want to see him, but she thought that this matter had to be resolved. It was good to see him earlier and ask him clearly, so she waited for him downstairs.

Nathan Shaw's car stopped at the front door of the company. Ken had already opened the back door for her. In her position, she could only see a shiny leather shoe.

"Get in the car."

His voice was cold, and there was a hint of impatience.

As if she had already seen Nathan Shaw frowning, Sierra Moore immediately walked toward him, but she forgot about the current surroundings.

It was now the peak hour of getting off work, and Skyreach Corporation's employees were all at the gate of the company. Some sharp-eyed people were shocked to see the President's car parked here. Many people stopped to watch the bustle.

Sure enough, living up to the crowds expectations, Sierra Moore walked over and got into the President's car.

After Sierra Moore got in the car, some people who knew her and some people who didn't know her gathered together to ask about her identity, so the car left under the gaze of numerous pairs of eyes.

This road was not in the direction of the villa. Sierra Moore frowned but did not speak.

The car drove to a bustling commercial street. Ken got out of the car and opened the door, then watched Mr. Shaw leave.

Sierra Moore remained silent all the way and obediently followed behind Nathan Shaw upstairs.

Nathan Shaw brought her to a rather exotic restaurant. The layout of the restaurant was very unique. The lights were dim and the distance between them was very far. It was a very suitable place for couples to have a date.

Unfortunately, the time was not suitable, and the couple who came over together was also mismatched.

Nathan Shaw did not seem to notice her low spirits. After sitting down by the window in the corner, he casually asked her, "What do you want to eat?"

Sierra Moore was too distressed to look at the menu and only answered casually. It was obvious that she was not in a high mood.

Therefore, Nathan Shaw made the decision and ordered the specialties of this place.

While waiting for the meal, Sierra Moore decided to ask clearly first. She met his eyes in the dim lights. "Did you ask Mr. Yates from the personnel department to call me?"

On the way here, Nathan Shaw had already thought about it. Originally, he intended to deny it, but when the words reached his mouth, he suddenly changed his mind.

The man tapped his finger on the table, tapping it rhythmically. "That's right. I was the one who asked the personnel department to recruit you into the company."

"He actually dared to admit it!" Sierra cursed him in her heart.

"That's too much. What right do you have to interfere with my work?" Sierra Moore slammed the table angrily.

Just at this time, the waiter came over to serve the dishes. The delicious steak evoked her appetite. "Sir, Miss, your steak. Please enjoy!"

Being interrupted like this, Sierra Moore felt her anger immediately drain away.

As if feeling her unwillingness, Nathan Shaw looked up at her. His hands were still cutting the steak unhurriedly. "You just came back and don't have any work experience. If not for me, where do you think you could find such a good job?"

Sierra Moore cursed in her heart, "Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! I'll stab you to death!"

Sierra Moore poked at the steak on the plate in anger. In a few moments, the delicious food was beyond recognition.

As if he did not see it, Nathan Shaw continued to rub salt on her wound and said, "Your reputation is too poor. You work in my company, so it's just convenient for me to monitor you. In the future, I will ask the finance department to transfer your monthly salary directly to my account until you pay off your debts.

"I'm helping you."

With the last sentence, he was obviously taking advantage of her and he still dared to pretend to be the good one, but Sierra Moore could not refute it. She was so angry that her face turned purple.

There was no other way, after all, she owed him money.

In fact, when she calmed down in the afternoon, she had already thought of this.

She thought it must be that Nathan Shaw, that bastard, was afraid that she would not be able to pay the money, so he asked someone to recruit her into the company. This way, it would be easy for him to monitor her. As expected!

She didn't mind working in his company. Anyway, there was so much difference between the work of the two of them. They would not meet often in the company. She just did not like the feeling of being controlled by others. She felt too passive.

"It costs ten million to save a person. Why don't you just rob it?"

Sierra Moore muttered in a low voice. She was already cursing Nathan Shaw in her heart, but at this time, Nathan suddenly did something that surprised her.

"Wow, I didn't expect Miss Moore to have such an unusual taste." He brought the steak that he had cut and replaced the plate in front of Sierra Moore, mocking her without giving her any face.

She had already seen the vicious tongue of the bastard, but this time, Sierra Moore had no intention of arguing with him.

Looking at the neatly cut steak on the plate in front of her, Sierra Moore had a very complicated expression on her face. She found that Nathan Shaw was really strange recently and seemed to treat her too well.

Sierra Moore's eyes turned red at the thought of someone treating her like this in the past.

Nathan Shaw ate the steak that was ruined by Sierra Moore, cut a piece, and handed it over.

Perhaps it was because his eyes were too gentle that before Sierra Moore could react, she had already opened her mouth and bit down on the steak, not even noticing the sauce that had been stuck in her mouth.

When he looked at her dazed appearance, Nathan Shaw's lips curved. He took a tissue to help her wipe her mouth. There was a faint smell of tobacco at the tip of his finger. It was slightly intoxicating.

This kind of action was too intimate. Sierra Moore was not used to it. She quickly took the tissue and wiped her mouth. "Thank you. I'll do it myself."

Nathan Shaw did not force her. He continued to lower his head and eat his food. Every movement was so impeccable and elegant.

He did not notice that under the dim lights, a kitten was secretly looking at his face.

When Sierra Moore looked at him, she was surprised to feel her heartbeat skip a beat. She quickly looked away, unsure of what was happening to her.

When she first met him, this man was cold and fierce to her. After interacting with him for a long time, she felt that he was not like what she had seen on the surface. It was just that he hid his personality too deeply, making her unable to figure it out.

Perhaps it was because she had been protected too well in the past that she developed her current personality. She was simple-minded and she did not like to guess others' thoughts. When she had doubts in her heart, she would directly bring them up.

Just like now, she bit her steel fork and looked at him in confusion. "Nathan Shaw, why did you do this? Why are you so good to me?"

When Sierra Moore raised this question, her face was thoughtful. If not for her innocent expression, Nathan Shaw would have thought that she remembered something.

He put down the tableware in his hands, pursed his thin lips tightly, looked at her with his deep eyes, and asked her again, "Do you really not remember me?"

"Should I remember?" Something flashed through Sierra Moore's mind, but every time she was about to think further, her memory became blank again.

"We met six years ago, but you obviously forgot about it."

Seeing Sierra Moore fall into deep thought, Nathan Shaw suddenly thought that maybe one day, when she recalled it herself, it would definitely be very interesting.

Sierra Moore was still thinking hard, thinking to herself, "How could I not remember so many things that happened six years ago?"

At that time, her family encountered great changes. To protect the company, she went to many reception parties to ask for help. She wondered whether it could be that she saw him at that time.

However, she clearly did not realize what Nathatn meant by this.

When they came out of the restaurant, the lights were already on.

The night wind was a little cold. Sierra Moore shivered and asked him, "Are we going straight home?"

Her words completely pleased Nathan Shaw. His palm reached over and rubbed her head. His eyes were extremely gentle. "There's no hurry. Accompany me to a place first."

Sierra Moore was flattered by the gentleness that he had recently inadvertently revealed. She only felt very terrified. After all, this bastard was so moody and it was really difficult to get along with him.

Nathan had not returned home yet, so Ken naturally could not get off work. Seeing the two of them come out, he immediately opened the car door to welcome them.

Sierra Moore looked at him sympathetically. She thought it was too pitiful to follow such a boss.
