Chapter 38 Am I Bad

Sierra Moore had just walked over when she heard someone mention her.

One said, "I heard that Sierra Moore is back. Is that true?"

"You have to ask Emily about this. You used to have a good relationship with her. Is there any news?" Another immediately assumed an alluring pose.

Seeing that Emily Mason did not speak, the one immediately jumped up and shouted nervously, "So, that little princess of Moore Family is really back?"

"What little princess? Moore Family is long gone," the other said as if she had heard a huge joke.

Their words were full of contempt, especially the words "long gone", which made Sierra Moore's heart suddenly hurt.

She felt that the voice was a little familiar, so she took a few steps to the side and saw three girls drinking together next to the bar counter.

From her angle, she couldn't see their faces clearly. She vaguely remembered that they seemed to be her high school classmates. She recognized this because of Emily Mason.

However, she couldn't remember the names of the other two. She had no choice. At that time, besides Jack Lee, there were pitifully few friends around her.

Emily Mason happened to be able to see Sierra Moore from her seat. There was a moment of panic in her eyes when she coincidentally saw Sierra Moore here, but it was quickly concealed by her.

The two girls who were with her were talking about Sierra Moore's bad temper.

Emily Mason calmly looked at Sierra Moore and said in a blaming tone, "Don't say that. No matter what, she was once my friend."

She wore a considerable expression as she said this.

The other looked at her in surprise, "Emily, are you crazy? She has treated you like that, and you still think she is a friend?"

The woman's face was full of hatred as if Sierra Moore had done too many heinous things!

"That's right. That's right. If she really took you as a friend, she wouldn't have asked you to do this and that all day." One of them agreed.

"Friend? I think it's more like a follower."

"Emily, you are too kind. That's why you were bullied by her for so many years." The other looked at her, feeling hateful for her incompetence.

After saying that, she secretly looked at Emily Mason's face. Seeing that she was smiling and there was nothing wrong with her expression, she continued, "You are so silly. You still remember her even now. Maybe she has already forgotten you."

"Exactly! But thank goodness, she didnt stay arrogant for long. Do you think her fate is just too harsh, like shes a jinx or something? Not only her parents died, but now her aunts entire family is gone, and even Jack Lee, who always pampered her"

The more the girl spoke, the more ridiculous it became. Seeing Emily Mason's expression change, the other girl quickly reached out and patted her. "Alright, don't say anything that will dampen your spirits."

The girl realized something and stuck out her tongue, "I said something wrong. Don't be angry, Emily!" Everyone knew that Emily Mason hated Jack Lee and Sierra Moore's past the most.

"Emily, you will be engaged to Jack Lee next month. When you marry into a rich family, don't forget your best friends!" Seeing that Emily Mason's face was not very good, the other girl tried to smooth things over.

"Thats great! I want to register first. I want to be the bridesmaid!" The girl continued to ask.

Sierra Moore's family background was good, and so was her studying. She was beautiful, and she had Jack Lee by her side who was equally outstanding. When she was in school, she was considered an influential figure.

During those years in school, she was also a goddess in the hearts of many boys.

Although the girls mocked and ridiculed her behind her back, they still fought to be her friends.

Sierra Moore looked at the people around Emily Mason. She vaguely remembered that these two had been by her side for a period. It was just that she was busy preparing to study abroad in the next semester of her third year, so she rarely went to school.

Although she did not expect everyone to treat her as a friend, she had always been confident. She never thought that her classmates would look at her like this in private.

Sierra Moore trembled with anger. She really wanted to go over and question them, "When did I offend you? How could you say such bad things about me?"

However, she did not dare to do so. She did not even dare to step out.

Ever since she was young, the people around her had left one after another. Even Jack Lee, who doted on her the most, had left. She even began to suspect if she was really a jinx so that all the people around her had left her one by one.

Her eyes were wet with tears from her nose, but she stubbornly refused to let them go.

Suddenly, a hand with a warm temperature was placed on her shoulder. That voice, in such a noisy place, was actually exceptionally precious. "Why did it take so long?"

Sierra Moore raised her head and looked into Nathan Shaw's eyes with red eyes. There was deep worry in his eyes. She thought to herself, "Did he hear it all?"

"Nathan Shaw, do you think I'm really that bad?" She asked, wrinkling her nose.

Nathan Shaw just saw that she had been gone for so long and did not come back. He was worried that the previous incident had affected her, so he came out to find her. He did not expect to see her standing here as soon as he came out.

He had also heard some of what those people had said. When he saw her head lowered and she was all alone as if she had been abandoned by the world, he actually felt a great deal of sympathy in his heart. His body took action before his thoughts.

He really wanted to hold her in his arms, and he did do so.

When he saw her red eyes, Nathan Shaw held her shoulders and held her in his arms. Mr. Shaw, who did not know how to comfort others, clumsily comforted her, "Well, you're not too bad."

Because they were close, the two girls also saw Sierra Moore. Talking behind someone's back and getting caught on the spot left them all looking a bit uncomfortable.

Listening to the sobs of the person in his arms, Nathan Shaw felt extremely distressed. His cold eyes swept over these nosy women, and his warning was self-evident.

With his support, Sierra Moore felt less sad. She grabbed Nathan Shaw's clothes with both hands and raised her head in his arms. Her eyes were soft like never before.

She said, "Nathan Shaw, I want to go back."

"Alright, let's go back." Nathan Shaw lowered his head to look at her. He helped her comb her hair hanging by her ears and looked at her with his gentle eyes.

After seeing the two of them leave, the girl exclaimed, "Oh my god! Don't you think that man just now is so handsome? Do you know who he is?"

The other girl also had a lustful look on her face, "Just now, his cold and handsome eyes swept over. Oh! Listen, my heart is beating."

"Those who don't have their hearts beating are zombies. Hey, I like this man. You are not allowed to snatch him away from me!" The girl said.

The other couldn't stand the girls idiotic look. She pushed her head with her finger and said, "Damn girl, don't mess around here."

They were all friends and were used to messing around. The girl was not angry, but she felt that the man just now looked familiar.

"Hey, do you guys think this person looks familiar? I think I've seen him on TV before. Let me think, why do he looks like Skyreach Corporation's President?"

"Are you talking about the President of Skyreach Corporation? He and Sierra Moore? No way!" The other girl was shocked.

Emily Mason had been silent the whole time. When she heard this, she drank up the alcolo in one gulp. The cup fell heavily, and her expression was not good.

She also recognized the identity of that man. He was indeed Nathan Shaw from Skyreach Corporation, so she was very unhappy.

She originally thought that Sierra Moore would be nothing without Moore Family and Jack Lee, but she never thought that Sierra Moore would connect with such a man as soon as she returned.

When Nathan Shaw came in with Sierra Moore in his arms, Avery Yates and Steven Jones were singing. Grace Thomas had already left.

When it was Avery Yates's turn to sing, the song suddenly stopped. She saw Nathan Shaw come in, put the microphone on the table, stood up, and walked toward him.

Avery Yates was a smart person. Seeing Sierra Moore's clearly crying eyes, she had a hint of understanding in her heart. She changed the topic and asked him in a concerned tone, "Nate, is Miss Moore feeling unwell?"

Because of what happened just now, Nathan Shaw's face was very gloomy. He nodded at Avery Yates and went to take the coat on the sofa. Obviously, he was going to leave first.

Steven Jones still didn't understand. He was still singing as if he was crying and howling. Ryan Holland couldn't bear to listen and went over to stop his song. "Go to the side. I'll sing."

Steven Jones thought to himself, "How could this work?"

Steven Jones naturally did not agree, so the two of them began to snatch the microphone.

George Young glanced at Sierra Moore and asked Nathan Shaw, "Do you need to call Ken to pick you up?"

Nathan Shaw shook his head. He had a car parked in Dark Night's garage. He only had a few sips just now. He could drive back by himself.

Seeing that Nathan Shaw did not listen to his advice, George Young did not say much and handed over his car key. "Don't drive a sports car after drinking. Drive my car back."

Nathan Shaw naturally wouldn't refuse his brother's kindness. When Avery Yates saw Nathan Shaw take the key, a trace of hesitation flashed through her eyes. "I'm tired too. I'll go with you."

Nathan Shaw looked at the girl around him and refused her, "Sisi is not feeling well. I will take her back first. Ryan will send you back later."

Avery Yates had already turned around to get her coat, but she did not expect him to say that.

She looked a little embarrassed, but after all, she had received the movie queen's crown. She handled it with ease and quickly recovered her elegant smile.

She walked over and helped Nathan Shaw adjust the collar of his clothes. She smiled and said, "Then, be careful on your way home. Call me when you get home, Nate."

In the past, when she did this, he did not think much of it.

But this time, seeing that Sierra Moore could not wait to leave first, Nathan Shaw could not help but slightly frown.

He was worried about Sierra Moore. He nodded at George Young, turned around, and followed her.

A door separated the bustling noise.

After Steven Jones finished snatching away the microphone, he came back to drink and replenish his energy. He was so slow-witted that he did not realize that there were fewer people. As he drank, he said to the man behind him, "Hey, Ryan, drink less and send me back later!"

Ryan Holland smiled and glanced at George Young. "Nathan took Sierra Moore away first. I will send Avery Yates back later. As for you, I think someone will be happy to serve you, right, George?"

George Young leaned lazily against the sofa, half a glass of Sprite in his hand. He was a surgeon and had to stay awake at all times to ensure that he could enter the operating room at any time, so he rarely drank.

As soon as he regained his senses, a redhead hit his shoulder. The man's furry hair rubbed against his neck, looking like a large dog he had raised before.

This large dog began to act coquettishly, "Hey, Georgie, I'm yours tonight."

These words were ambiguous, and the man who heard them had a deeper meaning. Fortunately, only George Young heard it. He turned to look at the half-drunk Steven Jones, and his eyes suddenly darkened behind the lens.
