Chapter 43 Encounter with Emily Mason

When they arrived at Cranberry Square, Sierra Moore was in a hurry to find Sophie Lucas and directly left Mr. Shaw in the back of her mind.

Being ignored, Nathan Shaw frowned in dissatisfaction. It seemed that he had to work harder.

He sat in the car and watched Sierra Moore enter the mall before driving away.

On the way, Steven Jones called again and urged, "Nathan, is your little kitten still sleeping? We have been here for quite a while."

Their appointment was supposed to be nine o'clock, but now it was eleven o'clock.

When Sophie Lucas saw Sierra Moore, she couldn't help but scold Sierra Moore. Sierra Moore knew that she was in the wrong and had a good attitude toward admitting her mistake.

Seeing that it was getting late, Sophie Lucas suggested eating first. After eating, they would have the strength to go shopping. Sierra Moore naturallyagreed. She was almost starving.

While eating, Sierra Moore complained to her, "You don't know, Nathan Shaw is too strange. He refused to let me eat two bites of bread when I was hungry. He even said that he wouldn't buy anything for me to eat if I didn't listen to him. He thinks he keeps a dog!"

Sophie Lucas almost couldn't help but laugh. She laughed so hard that tears came out. She pointed at Sierra Moore and couldn't speak for a while, "he two of you are really funny!"

Seeing that Sierra Moore was about to fly into a rage out of humiliation, Sophie Lucas quickly stopped her, and then she solemnly said to her, "You got up so late. Tell me honestly, did you force him again last night?"

"Puff! Sophie Lucas! I'm going to kill you!" This time, Sierra Moore was really angry and came to hit her across the table.

Sophie Lucas looked disdainfully at Sierra Moore. After the two of them mess around a while, someone came over to talk to Sierra Moore. "Miss, may I ask how to get to the bathroom?"

"You have to ask the waiter about this. It's our first time here, so we don't know." Sierra Moore looked up at him. Before she opened her mouth, her words were interrupted by Sophie Lucas.

The man was not angry with the hints being so obvious. He just looked at Sierra Moore with friendness in his eyes.

The man showed a smile that he thought was very handsome. He bent his waist like a gentleman and said politely, "How should I address this young lady? Would you like to be friends with me?"

This time, Sophie Lucas stopped talking and blinked at Sierra Moore. She was even looking forward to Sierra Moore's performance.

It was not the first time Sierra Moore had encountered such a thing. She picked up the juice and took a sip. When she turned around, her face was already expressionless and indifferent.

She opened her lips and told him clearly, "I'm sorry. I'm already married."

Seeing the handsome guy who was trying to strike up a conversation run away, Sophie Lucas felt bored and slapped the table to express her dissatisfaction.

Ever since Sophie Lucas met Sierra Moore, every time someone came to strike up a conversation with Sierra Moore, she would say the same thing. Sophie Lucas thought to herself, "Although it is very useful, could she change her excuse?"

"You can't be so unchanging. Can't you learn from me? Life must be interesting with more spicies!"

"That's a bad taste," Sierra Moore smiled at her.

Sophie immediately muttered, "What? Bad tastes are also interesting. The keep point is being interesting!"

After having the meal, the two of them started to stroll around the mall.

New York's weather was getting colder and colder. It would be Christmas in less than a month. Some shops had already pasted the window flowers with "Merry Christmas" written on them.

Some products had already started to have discounts.

Sophie Lucas was in high spirits and pulled Sierra Moore to the women's clothing area.

The two of them walked around and tried a lot of clothes, but they did not buy a single one.

Sierra Moore understood very well that this was the bad taste of the Miss Lucas.

After shopping for women's clothing, they went to the bag area. Sophie Lucas said that she liked a leather bag from a limited edition. If she found it today, she could buy it.

Sophie Lucas pulled Sierra Moore into a luxury store. When Sophie Lucas saw these new products in the season, her saliva almost fell out of her mouth. She cheered and rushed over.

Sierra Moore helplessly followed her in. Under the shop assistant's accompany, she casually looked at a few designs.

She glanced through the bags and saw that each one was priced in the five-figure range, with some even reaching six figures. Clearly, they were luxury items.

Looking at the string of zeros, Sierra Moore felt a bit overwhelmed. The money she had saved up over the years, through pinching pennies and living frugally, was only enough to buy one nice bag, which left her feeling quite frustrated.

Her expression was seen by the shop assistant, whose attitude of "accompany" immediately changed. The shop assistant felt a bit of disdain in her heart, and she even spoke impolitely, "Do you take a fancy to something?"

Sierra Moore didn't understand what she was saying. Sierra Moore smiled and said to her, "Im not buying."

The shop assistant's face fell when she heard this. She took back the bag from Sierra Moore's hands and put it back in the display cabinet. "If you don't want to buy it, don't touch it. The things here are all very expensive. You can't afford to damage it."

Sierra Moore finally understood what was going on and stood there awkwardly.

Just at this time, some people entered the shop. The shop assistant saw that they were wearing famous brands and it was obvious that they could afford to pay. She wanted to leave Sierra Moore alone and accompany them instead.

Sophie Lucas was holding a bag for Sierra Moore to see. She understood the situation at first glance. She immediately reached out to stop the shop assistant and asked with a sullen face, "Stop, what did you say to her?"

When she said this, everyone else in the shop looked over.

The shop assistant was afraid that it would affect her business, so her expression was not too good. She said, "Am I wrong? If you can't afford it, don't come in. Don't delay me from greeting other guests."

"We can't afford it?" Sophie Lucas pointed at the bag in her hand and asked the shop assistant as if she had heard a big joke. "Who told you that we can't afford the things in your shop?"

The shop assistant was a little confused, but seeing that Sophie Lucas was not wearing branded clothes, she braced herself and said, "If you have the ability, why don't you buy one for me to see?"

"Buy one for you to see?" Sophie Lucas suddenly laughed and smashed the bag in her hand on the face of the shop assistant. "Who do you think you are? How dare youtell me what to do?"

The shop assistant was stunned after being smashed.

"Youre just a lackey riding on someone else's coattails. Where do you get off acting superior?" Sophie Lucas wanted to slap her, but she was stopped by Sierra Moore.

"Sofi, forget it. Let's go!" Sierra Moore knew that she had a bad temper, so she pulled her out.

"Stop! You beated me and now you want to leave?" The shop assistant was shocked. She rushed forward and pulled Sophie Lucas to stop her. She shouted that she wanted to sue Sophie Lucas.

Although Sierra Moore was timid, she was not afraid of anything. At this time, she was also angry. "It is her fault that Sofi made a move, but your words are too much! She just gave the bag back to you. You can't wrong customers like this!"

Sophie Lucas was about to flare up when she saw Sierra Moore standing up for her, and her bad mood instantly improved. She immediately cooperated with Sierra Moore and said, "Yes, didn't you ask me to return the bag to you? You failed to catch it yourself."

The cooperation between the two was flawless.

The shop assistant was so angry that her face turned red. She pointed at Sophie Lucas and scolded, "You are talking nonsense. Shameless!"

"Watch your tongue." Sierra Moore blocked her hand. Sierra Moore's smiling face suddenly sank. "If you think we are deliberately hurting you, then fine. Call your manager over and we will make it clear face to face."

The shop assistant was ready to make a phone call when Sierra Moore reminded her, "You have to know that once this matter blows up today, no matter what the result is, you will not be able to keep your job. Think about it clearly."

The shop assistant was frightened by Sierra Moore's words and had already backed out. She was about to endure this and forget about it, but someone wanted to stir up trouble.

"Hey, you really know how to defend yourselves. Dont worry, miss. We saw them attack you with our own eyes and can vouch for you."

Sophie Lucas was originally watching the show from the side, but when she heard this, she turned her head and looked over coldly.

Sierra Moore also saw this person who was about to stand up, and her face was a little awkward. Especially after seeing the people around her, she did not want to continue staying here.

She didn't want her sorry state to be seen, and she just wanted to leave immediately.

But she did not intend to let her go just like that. She hooked his arm around Emily Mason's and said, "Wow, isn't this Sierra Moore? Emily, did I remember it wrongly? Isn't she the Eldest daughter of Moore Clan who went bankrupt a long time ago?"

Emily Mason smiled without saying a word. Sierra Moore's face seemed to be on fire. She was not embarrassed but angry.

She still remembered what they had said that day at Dark Night!

Since they did not treat her as a friend, then there was no need for her to lower herself.

"Sofi, let's go."

"Wait!"

Sophie Lucas pulled Sierra Moore back. Sophie Lucas was used to being arrogant since she was young, and she was not the kind of person who would be bullied.

Moreover, she had already recognized Emily Mason. This woman had made her Sisi cry so sadly last time. She had so much pent-up anger and didnt have someone to vent it on. She did not expect that Emily Mason would appear just right.

Sophie Lucas first took out her mobile phone and called someone. After the call connected, she asked Emily Mason, "I want to ask the two of you. What is your relationship with Sierra Moore?"

"We used to be high school classmates," Emily Mason said in a poised manner.

"High school classmates!" Sophie Lucas made an exaggerated "oh" sound. "You are so sharp-tongued and poisonous. Those who don't know will think that she stole your man."

When it happened to mention Emily Mason's pain, she did not hide it and pulled a long face. "She knows what she has done herself. It is not your turn to stand up for her."

Sophie Lucas, on the other hand, was furious. "My Sisi is adored by everyone. It's not up to you to say anything about her. Why don't you take a good look at yourself? You guys aren't even capable to be her servant."

Miss Lucas did not care that they were in a public place. Her words made Emily Mason's blood surge, but Emily Mason could not say such indecent words. She could only stare at Sierra Moore fiercely.

Sophie Lucas thought to herself, "If you want to take advantage of my friend verbally, why don't you see who your opponent is?"

The woman by Emily Mason's side was called Luna Paul. She also had a share in what happened at Dark Night that day.

Seeing that Emily Mason was angry, Luna Paul deliberately said, "Sierra Moore, that day at Dark Night, I saw that you were very close to a man. Who is that guy?"

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Is she talking about Nathan Shaw?"

Sierra Moore pursed her lips, not knowing how to reply.

Seeing her like this, Luna Paul became even prouder and said maliciously, "Have you been kept by him?

"In fact, you don't have to be embarrassed. There are some lazy guys nowadays. Since your family is gone, if you don't find someone to support you, how can you live? Am I right?"
