Chapter 47 The War Between Women

Theye originally planned to go to Dark Night to continue celebrating, but it was still early.

"We haven't played billiards in a long time. There is a club upstairs. Shall we go and play?" Steven Jones suggested.

Steven Jones was referring to the billiards.

Nathan Shaw glanced at Avery Yates. Seeing her nod, he said, "Then let's go! Steven, give George a call and tell him to come directly after he is done."

"Alright!" Steven Jones immediately called George Young and said in high spirits, "Georgie, are you here yet? If you are here, go to the billiard club on the 13th floor. Hurry up!"

"George was on duty yesterday and had two more operations today. Did you tell him to drive faster? Aren't you afraid that something go wrong?" Ryan Holland said as he walked behind.

Steven Jones was a smart businessman, but he was heartless at other times. When he heard this, he immediately called George Young again, "Hey, Georgie, you don't have to be too anxious. Take your time..."

Ryan Holland shook his head and did not continue to listen. He followed Nathan Shaw into the elevator. His gaze swept over Avery Yates and Sierra Moore, and the corners of his mouth held an unknown smile.

Steven Jones caught up with him, hooked his arm around his shoulder, and hid in a corner, asking, "Hey, Ryan, what do you think Nathan is thinking? Who does he like?"

This was just a small place, and there was no other room for Ryan Holland to hide.

Ryan Holland rolled his eyes at him. When the elevator reached the floor, he walked behind Steven Jones and said, "It won't be the one in your heart anyway."

Between these two women, who could succeed until the end? This was a question worth pondering over.

Steven Jones was naturally thinking of Avery Yates. All these years, she had been by Nathan Shaw's side and had been supported by him. But their relationship was very confusing.

However, Ryan Holland's words were worth pondering. Steven Jones just did not understand. "Why do I feel that you and George do not like Avery Yates very much? Did she offend you?"

"Steven, youre really naive." Ryan Holland looked at him with disdain.

Having his sore spot poked, Steven Jones immediately jumped up and turned hostile, "Damn you, Ryan!"

Sierra Moore couldn't help but turn back to look at the two noisy guys behind her, but her expression was gloomy.

"What's wrong? Are you tired?" Nathan Shaw asked when he saw that she was not in a good mood and looked listless.

Sierra Moore shook her head. She was too embarrassed to say that she was uncomfortable with them. Fortunately, Sophie Lucas was kind enough to accompany her to the end, so she did not leave.

Steven Jones's red hair was a VIP pass. Everyone knew him.

So when they arrived at the club, someone immediately led them into the VIP room through the VIP passage.

The private room was very spacious, and the facilities were also very complete. There were four billiard tables, and after the club staff brought them into the private room, they went out.

Steven Jones went over and opened a bottle of champagne. He first took a glass and gave it to the birthday girl. Then he handed two glasses to Sophie Lucas and Sierra Moore. There was no other way. Ladies first!

"She can't drink." Nathan Shaw took Sierra Moore's glass, but Sierra Moore did not feel awkward at all.

Steven Jones was very unwilling. He still remembered the last time when Sierra Moore was drunk. He kept thinking of her drunk appearance in his heart, but Nathan was possessive. Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "How could my kitten be seen by others?"

However, when Avery Yates saw this, she felt uncomfortable. Her guessings were right. Nathan Shaw seemed to be a little too concerned about this woman.

The men went to play billiards. Sophie Lucas was excited to follow them. Sierra Moore was not interested. She just stayed on the sofa to watch TV.

When Avery Yates saw her sitting there alone, she walked over with a glass of drink in hand.

The temperature in the room was just right, and there were no outsiders there, so when she came in just now, she took off her hat, glasses, and mask.

The crystal lamp above her head sprinkled a brilliance. Her beautiful facial features, perfect figure, and noble temperament could easily make others feel ashamed.

The contact between the two derived from the phone call, so when Sierra Moore saw her, Sierra Moore felt very awkward. Her mind inadvertently thought of what Avery Yates said on the phone that day.

In the past, she felt awkward because she didn't want Avery Yates to misunderstand her relationship with Nathan Shaw. But after yesterday, she felt that something was different. She even had a faint expectation in her heart.

"Miss Moore."

Avery Yates sat down beside her. Even her posture was so elegant.

"I heard from Nate that Miss Moore just came back from abroad." Avery Yates was used to being high and mighty, and even the expression on her face was cold and elegant.

As soon as she mentioned Nathan Shaw, Sierra Moore was at a loss.

She smiled and began to change the topic, "Miss Yates, it's your birthday today, and I haven't had a chance to wish you a happy birthday yet. Im so sorry. I didnt know in advance, so I didnt have a chance to prepare a gift for you."

"It doesn't matter." Avery Yates curled her lips, her smile bewitching everyone.

"Every year on my birthday, I receive a lot of gifts. But I think the gifts are secondary. The most important thing is the person who gives the gifts, as well as his feelings. What do you think, Miss Moore?"

Sierra Moore didn't know if it was because she was too sensitive, but she always felt that Avery Yates was indicating something. She didn't know how to respond, so she nodded and didn't say anything.

"Last year, on my birthday, Nate gave me a custom-made necklace. I wonder what surprise he will prepare for me this year." Avery Yates said as she hooked her fingers around the necklace around her neck.

Her words were all related to Nathan Shaw, and no matter how slow Sierra Moore was, she understood that Avery Yates was trying to demonstrate her strength again!

Although it was a little harsh to hear Avery Yates addressing "Nate", Sierra Moore had no standpoint and could not say anything. She could only smile awkwardly.

In her heart, she was praying that the famous star could leave quickly. She really had nothing to say to her!

It was boring for Avery Yates to speak alone, so she asked Sierra Moore, "I heard that Miss Moore and Nate met at Dark Night?"

The corner of Sierra Moore's eyes twitched. She suddenly recalled the first time she met Nathan Shaw. That was when she was in her most miserable state.

Thinking back to the time when Nathan Shaw came to look for her, Sierra Moore had always felt strange. She thought to herself, "Could it be that at that time, there were no other women by the side of the bastard?"

"How did Miss Yates get to know Nathan Shaw?" Sierra Moore didn't want Avery Yates to keep asking questions, so she asked Avery Yates.

"Me?"

Avery Yates seemed to have thought of something interesting. She chuckled and said, "He is an entertainment tycoon and I am an artist. This circle is small. After seeing him many times, we will naturally get to know each other."

Sierra Moore nodded in agreement.

Although Sierra Moore did not continue to ask, Avery Yates seemed to have opened her mouth to speak, "In total, I have known Nate for almost five years."

Five years was exactly the period when Sierra Moore left.

It turned out that when she was away, Nathan Shaw had Avery Yates by his side, and Jack Lee had Emily Mason by his side. So now, she was the unnecessary one.

Sierra Moore was a little distracted. She raised her head and looked at the man playing billiards. His appearance was slowly overlapping with her vague memories from six years ago.

Avery Yates's voice was very pleasant. Her low voice was very unique. Perhaps it was because she had played too many scripts, but it did not make people feel bored listening to her.

Avery Yates smiled bitterly and said, "There are many people who want to curry favor with him. Over the years, there have been many women around him, but they are all fleeting. Because there will always be someone who is the most special to him, isn't it?"

Hearing Avery Yates's hint, Sierra Moore turned to look at her.

This woman was a famous star in the limelight. She was elegant and beautiful. With Nathan Shaw escorting her, her acting path would be smooth sailing.

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Faced with such a blessed woman, what do I have to compete with her?"

Seeing that she did not speak, Avery Yates continued, "Miss Moore is a smart person. You are so young and beautiful. Why do you have to make things difficult for yourself?"

"Yes!" Sierra thought to herself.

Sierra Moore had clearly decided to leave after paying back the money.

"I understand what Miss Yates said, but Nathan Shaw and I are not what you think. Actually, we have nothing to do with each other!" Sierra Moore lowered her head and said apologetically.

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "So what if we have known each other six years ago? We are just two people who don't have any relationship with each other!"

But when she said this, Sierra Moore clearly felt a pain in her heart as if it was reminding her of her insincerity.

"How could they be irrelevant? How could they be unrelated?" Sierra thought in sorrow.

The expression on Avery Yates's face was indifferent.

"If I said that I was forced to stay by his side, Miss Yates would definitely not believe me." Sierra Moore lowered her head and thought for a moment before looking up at Avery Yates.

Avery Yates took a sip and looked into her eyes. "I believe you."

Sierra Moore didn't know if Avery Yates really believed her, but she felt a little guilty when being gazed at by Avery Yates so directly. Her fingers holding the cup were a little pale.

"It's best if Miss Moore understands. You should know that he is so outstanding that he deserves the best person to be by his side."

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "In fact, you want to say that you are the best one!"

Sierra Moore lowered her head and said nothing.

At this point, Avery Yates could be considered to have made it clear.

Avery Yates had nothing to say to Sierra Moore in the first place. Seeing that the game over there was getting heated, Avery Yates put down her drink and walked over to them, joining their billiards battle.

"Good, you can also make it like this."

It was rare to meet such a powerful opponent. Sophie Lucas was in full swing. When she saw Avery Yates, she whistled and said, "Miss Yates is also playing billiards. Do you want to bet a game?"

"What do you want to bet?" Avery Yates had never refused other's provocations.

Sophie Lucas heroically slammed the cue on the ground and said loudly, "Two out of three wins. The loser takes off a piece of clothing. What do you think?"

Avery Yates looked at Sophie Lucas in surprise, then she subconsciously turned to look at Nathan Shaw. The latter had a noncommittal expression.

Ryan Holland looked at the two women who were competing with each other with a forced smile. Steven Jones, on the other hand, was frightened. He hid to the side and sent a message to George Young.

[Qiaoqiao, something big has happened. The two women became hostile to compete for a favor. Now, they are going to take off their clothes in the competition!]
