Chapter 6 Encountering Danger in Dark Night

The bartender placed the wine in front of the two of them. Sophie Lucas picked up a glass and stuffed it into Sierra Moore's hand. She clinked it with Sierra Moore's glass, "Come, let's toast to our reunion."

Seeing that Sophie had finished it in one gulp, Sierra Moore shook her head, took a small sip, and put down the goblet.

They had been knowing each other for so many years. Sierra Moore almost never drank. She only had a little because she was forced by Sophie. Sophie Lucas didn't care about it. She just said so to tease Sierra Moore.

The two of them were chatting and laughing, exchanging their stories happening during the past two years with each other, but they did not see a guy coming over with a drink.

A black shadow covered the top of her head, making Sophie Lucas frown in dissatisfaction.

Originally, Sophie Lucas did not want to pay attention to him, but this person was too unconscious. He leaned against the bar and made a posture that he thought was elegant. It was obvious that he was here to strike up a conversation.

The man was fat and whistled in an opening speech, "The two sisters look unfamiliar! You don't come often, do you? Do you want me to invite you over for a drink?"

Miss Lucas rolled her eyes regardless of her public image, "Hey, why don't you look at yourself in the mirror before you strike up a conversation with me? I'm afraid I won't be able to drink anything if I look at you like this."

"Don't be so harsh with your words. I still have something good to show you. Do you want to give it a try?"

Fatty was still unwilling to give up. He reached out to touch Sophie's little hands when Sophie Lucas slapped the man's hands.

This kind of place was not lacking in people who wanted to watch the show. When they heard Sophie Lucas's words, they all began to jeer.

"Dude, this little girl doesn't like you. You better fuck off!"

After being slapped, Fatty's expression was already darkened. After being ridiculed by so many people, the expression in his eyes clearly changed. He lowered his voice and said, "I was kind enough to treat you to a drink. Don't be ungrateful to my kindness."

"Kindness?" Sophie Lucas made a sound of contempt and swung her chestnut-colored hair, making a charming gesture.

"Look at your almost-pregnant belly. If you go cosmetic surgery and lose some weight, I might be willing to treat you to a drink."

After being humiliated to this point, Fatty's face had already turned into red. More and more people gathered around to watch the show. He fiercely said his final words and left, "Just wait and see."

This was not the first time Sierra Moore had seen such a scene. She knew that she would not be able to stop Sophie Lucas. However, Sophie Lucas's arrogant attitude was even worse than before.

After driving the rascal away, Sophie Lucas turned around and knocked on the table "Hey, a glass of whisky."

"A glass of juice!" Sierra Moore said, pointing to the person beside her, "Her treat."

Finally drinking the juice, Sierra Moore happily narrowed her eyes.

Sophie Lucas took the opportunity to tell her, "Do you remember what I told you on the phone last time?"

"What was it?"

Sierra Moore looked at her blankly and almost made her beat her chest in anger. Sophie Lucas said, "I said that when you come back, I will introduce you to a friend. You promised me at that time!"

Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Did I agree?"

Sierra Moore really wanted to ask this, but when she saw Miss Lucas grinding her teeth as if she was going to eat someone, Sierra Moore couldn't say anything. She could only silently protest, but she didn't expect that Sophie Lucas would directly take this silence as acquiescence.

Sophie Lucas said with a treacherous smile, "I've already told him about your return. Since you don't object, I'll call him right now to make an appointment."

After saying that, Sophie Lucas pushed the chair away and ran away immediately as if she was afraid that Sierra Moore would object.

At this point, Sierra Moore did not even have a chance to object. When the bartender saw this, he smiled and said to Sierra Moore, "Your friend is really interesting."

Sierra Moore nodded awkwardly, "She is quite interesting."

Because the people around had seen Miss Lucas's valiant style, they did not dare to come to chat with Sierra Moore. Sierra Moore was happy to be quiet and she waited for Sophie Lucas to come back while drinking juice.

The bartender chatted with her through the bar counter as he wiped his wine glass. Seeing that the girl was smiling very adorably, he could not help but say a few more words to her.

"The people in Dark Night almost have their background. The person you just offended is a frequent visitor. I saw him following a few big shots a few times. Maybe he also has powerful backers. You just offended him. Be careful when you go back later."

Sierra Moore thanked him gratefully, but she did not take these words to heart.

After waiting for a while, Sierra Moore still did not see Sophie Lucas come back. As soon as she called her, she was told that Sophie Lucas was still on the line.

Sierra Moore had no choice but to tell the bartender, "If my friend comes back to find me, tell her that I went to the bathroom. Just tell her to wait for me and not run around."

The bartender responded. Sierra Moore got up and left. Just as she reached the corner, someone grabbed her hair. Before she could call for help, she was dragged into the private room.

Ryan Holland finished the call outside and turned back to see this scene which was common here, and he would not meddle in other people's business.

He just felt that the woman's face looked familiar as if he had seen her somewhere before.

After returning to the private room, Ryan Holland immediately put on a smiling face and hugged the beauty next to him.

As the exclusive legal consultant of Skyreach Corporation, his task was to seek the greatest benefits for the man sitting in the corner who did not speak.

His gaze inadvertently swept across the face of the man in the dark. A white light flashed in Ryan Holland's mind and he suddenly thought of who the woman just now was.

Ryan Holland thought to himself, "Who would have thought that the president of Skyreach Corporation, the most popular young entrepreneur in New York, the golden bachelor whom both young women and ladies wanted to throw themselves at, has already been married five years ago?"

But they just divorced on the day of their marriage.

Beauty in his arms was somewhat dissatisfied with his absent-mindedness. She poked his arms with her fingers, and finally, Ryan Holland' regained his train of thought.

Lowering his head to look at Beauty, he held her snow-white hands with his big hands. Beauty raised her head in confusion, obviously not understanding why he was being so honest today.

Ryan Holland brought her hand to his mouth and kissed it. He smiled at her and said, "Be good. Not today."

Beauty thought to herself, "Not today, but you didn't refuse tomorrow!"

Beauty understood and did not continue to pester him. Instead, she obediently sat to the side.

Ryan Holland sent Beauty away. Seeing that the man in the corner was still smoking, he thought twice and sat down next to him.

He said in a voice that only the two of them could hear, "Guess who I just saw outside?"

Nathan Shaw blew out a smoke ring and turned to look at him, indicating that he was not interested.

Ryan Holland found it interesting. He took a cigarette box from the table, pulled out a cigarette, and lit it. He said to Nathan Shaw, "Speaking of which, I only met her once. Let me think about what that woman's name was. Oh right, it seems to be Sierra Moore."

He threw the lighter back onto the table. Feeling Nathan Shaw's gaze, Ryan Holland turned around with a faint smile, "It's been six years since we last met. The little girl from back then was so beautiful and elegant. I almost couldn't recognize her when I saw her just now."

Ryan Holland thought that this person was really calm. He wanted to watch the show, so he leaned back against the sofa and blew out a smoke ring. He smiled and said, "But someone will assault her purity soon. What a pity! What a pity!"

The cigarette held on his finger burned out. Nathan Shaw took a deep puff and asked Ryan Holland, "What do you mean?"

Ryan Holland took the ashtray and handed it to him. Nathan Shaw put out the cigarette and then heard him say, "Literally what it means. I don't know how she offended Yellow Scar. When I came back just now, I saw her being dragged to a private room by Yellow Scar's subordinates."

Ryan Holland flicked the cigarette ash, and the woman beside Nathan Shaw took the ashtray sensibly.

Ryan Holland leaned back against the sofa and looked at Nathan Shaw with his eyes half-closed, "I heard that Yellow Scar is a psyche. He just killed a female student a few days ago. How ruthless he is!"

Before he could finish speaking, he saw Nathan Shaw stand up and walk out.

When the person sitting at the door saw Nathan Shaw go out, he quickly stubbed his cigarette and followed. Ryan Holland felt amused and shouted behind Nathan Shaw in a strange tone, "Room 304!"

As soon as Nathan Shaw left, the people who came to talk business today were a little surprised. Since the big boss left, how could they talk about their project?

Ryan Holland was good at socializing, so he immediately explained, "I just came in and met a friend. Mr. Shaw went over to say hello. Come. Come. Come. Didn't I say just now? Let's not talk about business today. We're here to make friends."

This was the first time Sierra Moore had encountered something like this. She was so scared that her face turned pale. When she was dragged into the private room, she wanted to call Sophie Lucas, but her phone was snatched away as soon as she took it out.

Her body was smashed hard on the sofa. Sierra Moore quickly got up and saw the fat man who was just driven away by Sophie Lucas.

He was standing humbly behind a man with a scar at the corner of his eyes. His face was full of flattery. When he looked at her, his eyes revealed a fierce look.

"Boss, it's this girl. She's very young and tender. I especially found her to serve you."

Yellow Scar looked at Sierra Moore from head to toe and asked, "She looks good and has a good body. Where did you get this woman from? Is she pure?"

Fatty raised his two fingers and promised, "Boss, this girl looks like a student. Maybe she's still a virgin. She's definitely pure. However, Boss, don't forget us after you play with her!"

As he spoke, he deliberately squeezed his eyes, and all the brothers around him laughed along and took the hint.

"Didn't you say there was another one?" Yellow Scar raised his eyebrows unhappily.

Fatty gritted his teeth and replied, "Don't worry, Boss. I'll send her to you when I find her."

Sierra Moore felt cold all over her body as if she had returned to the day of her 18th birthday when the nightmare had come again. She was so fragile that she couldn't withstand a single blow.

She gritted her teeth to stop herself from showing too much fear and tried to explain to them, "Did you find the wrong person? I am a customer here and I'm not the bar girl. It is illegal for you to do this."

"Illegal?" Yellow Scar seemed to have heard something very funny, so he smiled very loudly, revealing a mouth full of disgusting yellow teeth.

Fatty quickly flattered, "In New York, our Boss' words are the law."
