Chapter 61 Let's Escape

Sierra Moore suddenly became worried.

She hadn't even settled down yet, and she couldn't even stay in a hotel without an ID card. Now, she had a brother to look after.

She could sleep on the streets, but Clarison Moore Quinn could not. He was still a child, and he had to go to school.

Sierra Moore thought for a moment, then she took Clarison Moore Quinn's hand and said, "Clarison, listen to me. You'd better hurry home!"

Clarison Moore Quinn tilted his head and looked at her for a while, then he forcefully shook off her hand. His red eyes were filled with the grievance of being abandoned.

He shouted at her, "Sierra Moore, you liar! I will never believe you again!"

The child lost his temper and did not care about anyone's feelings. Sierra Moore was pushed hard by him and fell to the ground. She only reacted when she saw that the boy had run away. She did not care about the suitcase anymore and got up to chase after him.

"Clarison, don't run. Listen to me first!"

"I won't listen. I won't listen. You big liar, I hate you!"

Clarison Moore Quinn covered his ears and ran very fast. It was a pity that Sierra Moore had been hungry for a day and walked so far. Her vision went black and she fell to the ground.

Looking at the person who had already run into the darkness, Sierra Moore was so anxious that she was sweating profusely. She didn't know where she got the strength to shout at the top of her lungs, "Clarison Moore, damn it. Stop right there!"

Hearing her shout, Clarison Moore Quinn stopped and turned around to look at her stubbornly, but he refused to come over.

Sierra Moore had fallen hard just now, but now she began to feel pain.

When she got up herself, her legs trembled and she could not stand straight. Seeing Clarison Moore Quinn standing far away, she could not help but scold, "Brat, don't you know how to come over and help me?"

Seeing her limp, Clarison Moore Quinn was a little worried. However, when she approached, he still snorted unhappily. He did not care about this liar.

Just as he thought of this, the swindler stretched out her hand and rudely grabbed his ear, "I haven't even finished speaking when you ran away. You are not obedient at all."

Clarison Moore Quinn ignored her, but his eyes were still red. He pouted angrily, looking like an abandoned puppy, wronged and pitiful.

It could be seen that he had misunderstood Sierra Moore.

Her hand that was holding onto his ear did not use much strength. Seeing him like this, Sierra Moore felt her heart soften and she was even more reluctant to make a move.

Looking at his stubborn expression, Sierra Moore sighed. This was the first time she had encountered something like this, so she held her brother's hand and explained it to him carefully.

"Clarison, it's not that I don't want you, but I just returned to the country and lost my ID card. Now I can't even find a place to live. Otherwise, why am I still here so late? I don't want you to suffer with me."

Only then did Clarison Moore Quinn realize that he had misunderstood her. He quickly pulled her and said, "Sis, I am not afraid. I will go wherever you go in the future."

"What about the school? Are you not going to school?" asked Sierra Moore.

"I..."

Clarison Moore Quinn was so anxious that his face turned red. He wanted to say that he was not going to school, but he was still underage. If he did not go to school, what else could he do?

The two siblings looked at each other, staring at each other speechlessly.

After a while, Sierra Moore licked her dry lips and said, "Clarison."

She was just calling out his name, but Clarison Moore Quinn suddenly became excited.

He grabbed Sierra Moore's arm and begged her, "Sis, don't send me back. I don't want to go back to that house. Please don't drive me away."

Sierra Moore felt a burning pain in her arm because of the fall just now. His shaking of her arm even made Sierra Moore grimace in pain. But she didn't understand why Su Che didn't want to go back.

She asked, "So the problem comes again. Since your mother is married, did your stepfather bully you?"

"No?"

"Then did your mother raise a pretty boy at home? She only cares about the pretty boy, so she ignores you?"

"Neither?"

"Is she not good to you?"

"She treats you very well?"

Sierra Moore did not understand. She scratched her head and asked him, "Then why are you unwilling to go home?"

Looking at Sierra Moore's black eyes, Clarison Moore Quinn lowered his head.

He thought to himself, "Because of what?"

"Because they are selfish, they killed the person who I called 'Mom' for a year, they robbed you of everything and made you lose your home."

"Every time I see them, I will think of Aunt Moore and you." Clarison Moore Quinn looked up at her, his face full of pain. It was not the expression he should have at his age.

He said, "They did that for money. I hate them. I don't want to use their money. I don't want to live in the same house with them. Otherwise, I will think I am also the murderer."

When Sierra Moore saw that he was crying, she hugged him lovingly and said, "Little fool, how could you think that way? How does the adults' doing wrong have to do with you?"

Hearing her say this, Clarison Moore Quinn looked at her blankly.

No one had ever told him these words. They would always say to him, "Clarison, you deserve all these. Your surname is Qin, not Su."

Clarison Moore Quinn sniffed and hugged Sierra Moore's waist. He choked and asked her, "Sis, aren't you angry with me? I stole your things!"

"What a fool."

Sierra Moore rubbed his head. "Alright, I won't chase you away. If you really don't want to go back, then just follow me. I'll earn money to support you in the future."

The young man was so surprised that he did not know what to do. He blinked and then looked at her for a moment. "Sis, is what you said true?"

Sierra Moore nodded, but her face was full of worry.

"Great, great, great!"

Hearing that Sierra Moore was willing to take him in, Clarison Moore Quinn was extremely happy. He held her hand and jumped, just like a child.

Seeing him like this, Sierra Moore felt her heart was very tangled. She could not bear to attack this child, but there were some things that she had to make clear to him in advance.

"Clarison."

Sierra Moore frowned and tried to make him understand, "If you live with me, there will be no cars or houses in the future. Have you really thought it through?"

"I've thought it through. As long as I have my sister, it'll be fine. I'm not afraid of hard work." Clarison Moore Quinn nodded vigorously.

After he finished speaking, he smiled first and lowered his head shyly. He could not help but secretly look at Sierra Moore's reaction.

Seeing him like this, Sierra Moore also smiled and said, "Ethan Quinn is lucky to have such a handsome son."

"Sis, if you see them one day, will you call the police to arrest them? Do you hate them?" Since she mentioned Ethan Quinn, Clarison Moore Quinn's eyes flashed as he looked at her worriedly.

Sierra Moore obviously did not expect him to ask this. She was slightly stunned for a moment, thinking to herself, "Is he referring to the people who took away the company's money?"

"It is normal for mother and son to have a heart-to-heart relationship. Clarison is worried about his mother, right?"

If calling the police was useful, she would not have been cornered six years ago.

Sierra Moore had seen the picture of her aunt dying in the bathroom when she was at the police station. Every time she thought of that picture, she would still feel terrified. Her aunt was such a proud person that she would rather die than accept the humiliation of failure.

Sierra Moore closed her eyes and gritted her teeth. Her cold voice seemed to come from the ground. "I hate them! I won't forgive them!"

"Sis, don't be like this. I'm scared." Clarison Moore Quinn was frightened by her expression and carefully reached out to pull her.

The sixteen-year-old boy had always felt guilty because his parents had done something wrong. Being rebellious, he had run away from the school and ran to the cemetery more than ten miles away.

Sierra Moore thought Clarison Moore Quinn was even more courageous than she was back then.

Thus, Sierra Moore extended her hand toward him, her curved eyebrows smiling as she said, "Clarison, let's escape!"

An entire night.

Nathan Shaw waited for her for an entire night, but there was still no news.

He had searched all the hotels in New York. He had searched the streets, alleys, and even the place under the overpass. However, he could not find her. It was impossible for her to leave New York in such a short period. He wondered where she was hiding.

Nathan Shaw drove for a night. When it was almost dawn, he finally gave up. He parked the car on the public road, rolled down the window, and blew the salty sea breeze.

"Hey, Boss, where are you? Ryan Zi let me ask you if you want to come out for a drink tonight?"

Hearing Steven Jones's voice, Nathan Shaw did not speak for a long time. He took a long drag on his cigarette and opened his mouth. His voice was hoarse and difficult to distinguish. He said, "Steven, I lost my wife."

He told Steven Jones about this and it was equal to letting everyone know. Not long after he hung up, Ryan Holland and George Young called in succession to comfort him.

Ryan Holland said, "Brother, there are tons of girls in the world."

With these words, Ryan Holland was purely taking pleasure in other people's misfortune. In addition, he was not standing in Nathan Shaw's shoes. Nathan Shaw did not wait for him to finish and directly hung up.

He thought to himself, "Easy for you to say!"

George Young had no prejudice against Sierra Moore, so he said, "Don't worry. She is so stupid and she won't be able to run far. Think about it carefully. Does she have any relatives or friends in New York?"

After his reminder, Nathan Shaw suddenly remembered a place, so he called Ken and asked him to find out where Sierra Moore's parents' cemetery was.

When Ken sent over the information he had found, Nathan Shaw looked at the person in the photo. The unexpected fragments in his brain were pieced together and he recalled a past memory.

He remembered that it had happened more than ten years ago. The headlines of the newspapers and magazines all over the street were about the news of the big star Evelyn Foster committing suicide.

That year, when he was sixteen years old, he was still a rebellious youth. Because he hated the fake faces of those people, he ran out of the mourning hall alone.

He was really sad, so he hid in the shade of a tree and cried. He was obviously very sad, but he still gritted his teeth and refused to cry.

That day, he lost his most beloved mother.

That day, he met a girl.

The girl was very small and looked to be only seven or eight years old. She had a pair of big black and bright eyes, which was watery and cute, just like the doll she was holding in her arms.

Like a little angel, she slowly walked up to him and asked, "Brother, why are you crying?"

The youth did not notice when she came. At that time, he was in a bad mood, so he looked at her with cold eyes, "It's none of your business!"

His voice was very cold and his eyes were fierce. The little girl seemed to be very timid. After being glared at by him, she retreated a few steps in fear and then stood far away.
