"Nathan Shaw, will you always be so good to me?" Sierra Moore stared at him with her big eyes.
"Nates, and I will only be good to you," Nathan Shaw said as he looked into her eyes with a smile.
After getting a definite answer, Sierra Moore couldn't help but pull the corners of her mouth away and leaned against his chest in shyness. For a moment, the two of them quietly embraced each other, and no one spoke.
It seemed that they had never stayed so quietly together.
As he was seeing her fluttering eyelashes like wings, Nathan Shaw's eyes flashed with a dim light. He leaned closer and stared at her delicate neck. He began to scheme inside his heart.
"Why don't you make it up to me now? Our wedding night."
"Huh?" Sierra Moore looked up at him blankly and asked, "Didn't I give it to you when I was drunk last time?"
Sierra Moore thought to herself, "Since we already have skin contact, why is he still arguing about having sex?"
This had always puzzled Sierra Moore.
Nathan Shaw's eyes flashed. Last time, he had clearly set up a trap, but he did not expect that the pit he dug would actually bury him. This time, Mr. Shaw finally ate the consequences of his own actions.
He couldn't tell her that he had lied to her the last time. Although she had used force on him, because she was too drunk at that time, she had already fallen asleep before he could do anything.
Mr. Shaw looked at her for a while, but when he opened his mouth, his tone was muffled, "That one doesn't count."
"Nathan Shaw, you didn't lie to me about you asking me to be responsible for you last time, did you?" Sierra Moore's brain whirred. She asked, looking at him suspiciously.
Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "Alright. If I continue talking, I will expose myself."
Nathan Shaw looked down at Sierra Moore and narrowed his eyes casually. When he raised his head, he looked at her seriously. "Do you think I will joke with my innocence?"
"Uh!"
Hearing a big man say the word innocent, Sierra Moore felt a deep chill, but she felt that his small eyes were so scary that he was going to get angry!
Therefore, Sierra Moore cleverly lowered her head and admitted her mistake, thinking to herself, "If your innocence was gone, so was mine."
"You've been always lying to me." Sierra Moore muttered. Seeing his eyes grow grim, she immediately shrunk her neck. "I'm a patient now. You can't hit me."
Nathan Shaw thought to himself, "What a silly girl."
Nathan Shaw rubbed her hair and felt that he had really dug a treasure this time.
"Let's go! Let's go downstairs."
When the two went downstairs hand in hand, the Christmas party had already begun.
After the party started, Wendy left. Only John Smith and Ken were left in the living room. The two of them did not talk much and sat on the sofa to drink.
As the lights in the living room were set to be dark and warm, accompanied by the elegant music and the dancing men and women, the atmosphere seemed harmonious.
There were four pairs dancing Sophie Lucasng and Avery Yates, as well as Lisa and Ryan Holland. Sophie Lucas was also dancing with George Young. Only Elsa Foster was unhappy. She glared at Eldest daughter of the whole time when she was dancing with Steven Jones.
Seeing Nathan Shaw and Sierra Moore go downstairs, everyone looked at each other in tacit understanding.
Because Sierra Moore had a cast on her leg, she wore a pair of flannel home pants and a pink sweater with a round collar. Her hair was not taken good care and she just tied it up.
Her red face carried a gentle shyness, making it easy for people to think of what had just happened to the two people upstairs.
Sophie Lucas gave her a thumbs-up and blinked. "Sierra Moore, you're so good. You're still stuck like glue in such a short time."
Sierra Moore did not know that she had been exposed. She blushed in embarrassment and guiltily shook their hands held together. "Nathan Shaw, let go!"
This girl was thin-skinned. Nathan Shaw did not make things difficult for her, so he pinched her palm and walked toward Steven Jones.
When Elsa Foster saw Nathan Shaw come down, she stopped dancing. Steven Jones had some free time, so he walked over with two cups of wine and handed one to Nathan Shaw.
The sky outside was dark and gloomy, but the streets were bustling with noise and excitement. There was a festive atmosphere everywhere, and it was joyous and harmonious.
The cold wind outside the room was strong, but the room was full of warmth.
Sierra Moore's mouth had not been idle all day, and her stomach was not very hungry, so she took a plate of fruit salad to the side to eat.
After the song ended, although Sophie Lucas was reluctant to part with George Young, she also had to let him rest, so she walked toward Sierra Moore with a very reluctant look in her eyes.
When Elsa Foster saw Sierra Moore, her face was full of contempt. Especially when she saw Sierra Moore's happy and cheerful face, she felt even more ashamed of Sierra Moore's dirty tricks. "Tsk. So disgusting."
As Sophie Lucas walked over with a glass of wine in hand, she happened to hear this sentence. She glared at Elsa Foster. "The one surnamed Ling, do you want to fight?"
"As if I'm afraid of you!"
Of course, Elsa Foster was not easy to get along with. Just now, the two of them took turns making their moves. They were going to engage in battle. Fortunately, Avery Yates appeared in time and advised them.
"Elsa, don't argue with her. Didn't you say you were hungry? Let's go eat something."
Elsa Foster was indignant. She stomped her feet and said, "Avery Yates, you are too kind."
Hearing this, Sophie Lucas could not help but roll her eyes.
She thought to herself, "If she was kind, would she be able to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry? Who are you lying to!"
Sierra Moore understood Sophie Lucas's character the best. Seeing that she was about to act impulsively, Sierra Moore quickly called out to her, "Sofi, my leg hurts. Come over and help me."
"Help your head!"
Although Sophie Lucas said this, she still walked toward Sierra Moore and couldn't help but preach, "You idiot. One is not enough and you still got two? You're a masochist, right?"
Sierra Moore thought to herself, "This is an injustice. These two have come uninvited."
"I didn't know they would come!" Sierra Moore had a conflicted expression on her face. Moreover, one of them was Nathan Shaw's younger sister, and the other was the one whom Nathan Shaw was entrusted to protect. Sierra Moore couldn't possibly chase them out!
"I can't be bothered to talk to you." Eldest daughter of rolled her eyes at Sierra Moore, feeling hateful for Sierra Moore's incompetence.
As Sophie Lucas stuffed a chicken drumstick into her mouth, she hinted with her eyes, "Look at these two. Do they look like they're here for a holiday? They look like they're walking a red carpet on a show. Are they here to hook up with some rich men? They must have been thirsty for too long!"
Indeed, one of the two had her eyes on George Young, while the other looked at Nathan Shaw with resentment throughout the whole process. It was hard for the person involved to have such strong self-control and be able to sit still.
Just now, when the song ended, Steven Jones pulled Lisa to dance again. Seeing that they had finished dancing, Sierra Moore went over to grab her. "Mr. Jones, let our Lisa eat something."
Sierra Moore pulled Lisa to the side. The three of them chatted and laughed. After a long time, she realized that there seemed to be someone missing. "Why don't I see Ken? Where is he?"
Sophie Lucas said, "Who is Ken? I didn't see him."
"Besides Dr. Young, who else can you see in your eyes?" Sierra Moore said, embarrassed. "I'm going out to take a look. Maybe he's outside."
At this moment, Avery Yates walked toward Nathan Shaw with a cup of wine in her hand. "Nate, let's dance too!"
Nathan Shaw did not answer and only asked her, "You don't have to work today?"
Although she knew that he was intentionally changing the topic, Avery Yates still had a trace of hope in her heart. She smiled gracefully and said, "There was originally an interview, but after receiving Elsa's message to celebrate the festival together, I asked someone to decline it for me."
Nathan Shaw only nodded lightly. Although his expression was the same as before, Avery Yates was sensitive to the feeling that he had changed.
Avery Yates thought to herself, "In the past, he only had me by his side. Although he did not admit it, he did not deny it.
"But now, ever since that woman, Sierra Moore, appeared, he had changed. He had rejected my invitation more than once, not even calling me to a family party like today.
"Could it be that in his eyes, after being by his side for so many years, I couldn't compare to this woman whom he has only known for a month?"
Avery Yates was very unwilling. She was in a bad mood tonight and drank a few more cups of wine. She was now a little drunk.
She looked at Nathan Shaw. Her eyes were watery and her cheeks were red. It was as if she had brushed rouge on her cheeks to make her look even more beautiful. This kind of woman was indeed very easy to make ones heart flutter.
"Nate, do you hate me?
"Am I not good enough? If I have done wrong, tell me, and I will change." Avery Yates bit her lips, feeling extremely wronged.
"Nate, you should know my feelings for you. It has never changed over the years," She said, quietly reaching out to hold Nathan Shaw's arm.
As she stood on tiptoes, the distance between them gradually became closer. Her face carried a tempting fragrance as she slowly approached.
The lights in the living room were dim and no one noticed the situation there. Only Sophie Lucasng was surprised to see this scene and was curious about what Nathan Shaw would do.
In this circle, throwing oneself into the other one's arms was a common thing, but Nathan Shaw was not a person who coveted beauty. Before she came close, he reached out and grabbed her shoulder, stopping her.
"Nate?"
Feeling hurt, Avery Yates looked at him with an expression of disbelief on her face.
All these years, it was not that Nathan Shaw had never had a woman by his side, but those women were all because of social engagements or because of his desire of being free from loneliness, and they had not stayed by his side for long.
Only she, Avery Yates, had the honor to stay by his side and being doted on.
She thought she was special to him.
She thought that even if their relationship was not fully disclosed, he should understand her thoughts.
She thought that his keeping her by his side was his attitude and his acquiescence.
She always knew that her efforts were not enough. With the Shaw Family's status, the family needed an excellent daughter-in-law, and she had always been working hard for it.
But she did not expect that all of this had changed, just because of a woman who was inferior to her in every aspect. She was unwilling. How could she admit defeat so easily?
Avery Yates did not know that the expression on her face was already seen by Nathan Shaw.
Thinking about how Sierra Moore hugged him and spoke in a muffled tone, Nathan Shaw suddenly felt unusually agitated. He felt that perhaps it was because of his behaviors that Avery Yates misunderstood him.
"Avery Yates.
"You should know that I don't have any other intentions toward you." Nathan Shaw opened his mouth and said indifferently.
"But you said that I am different from others."
To be able to say such words, Avery Yates was already a little out of control. She urgently needed to prove something!
"Nate, I know you like me too," Avery Yates said as she shifted her hand from Nathan Shaw's arm to his waist, gently leaning into his body.
