Chapter 77 Waiting for Love

Only Ryan Holland and the siblings of the Lucas Family were left in the room. The three of them sat in rows on the sofa, chatting and watching TV. When they saw Nathan Shaw come in with someone in his arms, they all looked at him with concerned eyes.

Sophie Lucas pulled her attention away from the TV show and whistled at the two of them. She blurted out heedlessly, "I say, Mr. Shaw, do you need to be so impatient? At the very least, you have to send the guests away first, right?"

"Sophie Lucas, you are talking nonsense again!" Sierra Moore glared at her and was about to criticize her harshly, but Nathan Shaw had already carried her upstairs.

Behind them were Steven Jones and George Young. Seeing that they also came in, Ryan Holland guessed that something had happened outside.

"What is going on?"

Steven Jones spread his hands and said, "What do you think can happen if a new lover meets an old one?"

When Sophie Lucas heard that there was gossip, she immediately threw the remote control and rushed up. "What new lover? What old lover? Sierra Moore and Avery Yates got into a fight? Who won in the end?"

Steven Jones thought to himself, "As the best friend in the modern era, shouldn't she be worried about Sierra Moore?"

"Why did she look so gossipy now?"

"Moreover, it seemed as if she was taking pleasure in other people's misfortune!"

"Don't look at me. I don't know anything." Steven Jones looked at her speechlessly.

Because he went late and didn't know who won, he was just a little curious. "You don't seem to be worried that your good friend will be bullied?"

"You don't understand,"

Sophie Lucas confidently patted him on the shoulder and said, "It's not that I'm not worried, but I have confidence in our my Sisi. She might look like a little weak sheep, but she actually has very strong fighting skills."

Moreover, Sierra Moore had just been carried in by Nathan Shaw. Just this point alone was enough to show that Sierra Moore had won this battle.

"Do you think too highly of her?" Steven Jones looked at Sophie Lucas with disdain. He really couldn't see how that little white rabbit had any fighting strength.

His shoulder suddenly became heavy. It was Sophie Lucas who was holding his shoulder. Her small white teeth almost dazzled his eyes. "Brother, tell me, what exactly happened?"

Sophie Lucas was so close to him that he could almost count how many eyelashes she had. At such a distance, even the old hands wandering in the beauties could not bear it. Mr. Jones's face suddenly became strange.

Sophie Lucasng knew how to observe the situation. Seeing that Steven Jones was a little embarrassed, he quickly called out to his sister, "Sofi, don't mess around. Let go of Mr. Jones."

"It's fine if you don't tell me. It's not like you are the only one here. My Georgie will definitely not be so petty." Sophie Lucas looked at him with dissatisfaction.

Just as she finished speaking, she was about to pounce at George Young, but unfortunately, Dr. Young was already prepared this time and did not let her succeed.

The Eldest daughter of had always been more courageous the more she fought. She looked at George Young with a faint light in her eyes. With a white gaze, she was like a hungry wolf, which made people blush with shame.

"Hey, Miss Lucas, are you a woman or not?" Steven Jones saw that she was staring at George Young, so he moved his body to block her line of sight.

The Eldest daughter of didn't like hearing him say this. She put her hands on her waist and straightened her chest. She asked him in a threatening tone, "What do you think?"

Steven Jones couldn't take it anymore and pulled George Young to the side, whispering to him, "Georgie, this woman is too terrifying. You should stay away from her in the future."

Perhaps Steven Jones did not notice that when he said these words, his tone was as strange as a resentful woman.

At this Christmas party, because of Elsa Foster's stirring up, the result was unhappy. Sierra Moore felt depressed even in her dreams. If she had known, she would not have held this party.

On the second day of Christmas, the sun was shining brightly.

After sleep, Sierra Moore had already forgotten what happened yesterday.

After she got up, she drew the design for the whole morning. When she was resting on the balcony, she suddenly remembered the incident the last time she went to the police station. She wondered how Clarison Moore Quinn was doing now.

At that time, Nathan Shaw only said that he would deal with it, but he did not say how to deal with it.

Originally, Sierra Moore was still a little worried, but later on, the police uncle did not summon her, which meant that Nathan Shaw had already resolved this matter.

It was best to solve the problem perfectly, but she felt a little sorry for Clarison Moore. After all, she had personally promised him, but in the end, she failed to fulfill her promise.

However, a lot of things happened to her after she came back. Those were all unexpected. She had no choice, let alone take care of Clarison Moore.

She wanted to see Clarison Moore. That kid had dared to run away from home. She was afraid that he would do something bold again, but Nathan Shaw did not allow her to go out.

Even if what she wanted to say was justified, Nathan Shaw would not be able to comprehend. Sierra Moore was anxious and angry, and she had lost a lot of weight in a few days.

Sierra Moore was just thinking about Clarison Moore when she received a call from him.

On the phone, he told Sierra Moore that after he was taken back that day, he was locked up by his mother and not allowed to go anywhere. It was because of the Christmas night at school that his mother let him out.

Last night, he originally wanted to take the opportunity to sneak out again, but this time his mother sent someone to follow him, and after the party ended, he was immediately sent back.

After all, he was still his mother's biological son. He would be fine after a few days of being confined at home. He had already returned to school to attend class, but the bodyguards had been following him closely. He spent every day between home and school.

Knowing that Clarison Moore was fine, Sierra Moore was not so worried. She just suddenly thought of something.

When she had asked about Clarison Moore's current family situation, Nathan Shaw had always avoided answering her questions. He had either avoided the important point or sidetracked the topic. It was obvious that he was hiding something from her. This made her very puzzled.

The more Nathan Shaw acted like this, the more suspicious Sierra Moore felt, so she asked Clarison Moore, "Tell me honestly, are you hiding something from me?"

Clarison Moore was originally complaining to her, but when he suddenly heard this sentence, he immediately felt guilty and stammered, hanging up after a few words.

Sierra Moore was baffled.

It was New Natear's Day after Christmas.

The closer to the end of the year, the more things one had to do at home. Among them, what Sophie Lucas wanted to avoid the most was that the elders had been arranging blind dates for her.

In the end, to avoid it and get a piece of quiet, she had no choice but to go to school to be a substitute teacher.

When Sierra Moore heard what Sophie Lucas said, she was shocked, thinking to herself, "This Eldest daughter of herself has volatile character. If she becomes a teacher, wouldn't she lead students astray?"

It was almost approaching the annual leave, and the company was on the final push at the end of the year, while Nathan Shaw, the president of the company, was so busy that he could not go home during the daytime or night.

All of a sudden, Sierra Moore found that everyone around her was very busy. Nathan Shaw also left early and returned late. She was the only one who was bored at home every day.

When she was idle, it was easy for her to let her imagination run wild. To pass the time, besides communicating with her colleagues on design drawings, what she paid the most attention to every day was the urban entertainment gossip.

As one of New York's influential figures and a dark horse in the business field in recent years, Nathan Shaw had recently become very popular on TV.

And almost every time he appeared, he would be accompanied by a gorgeous female companion.

However, Nathan Shaw was different from other people who were warm and gentle. He was famous for his indifference in the circle. When facing the camera, he also had a cold attitude. Naturally, he could not be considered a gentleman.

Therefore, the female companions who attended with him were not taken care of by him.

Sierra Moore did not realize that recently, she liked to read gossip magazines more and more, especially those related to Nathan Shaw, and she would pay extra attention to them.

On the third day of Christmas, Sierra Moore unexpectedly received an invitation.

It was an invitation to the engagement ceremony. She knew both the groom and the bride, Jack Lee and Emily Mason. She just did not know who sent the invitation to her.

After getting the invitation, Sierra Moore felt very complicated. She did not know whether she should go or not.

Jack Lee and Emily Mason's engagement party was scheduled to be held on New Natear's Day, four days later. The location was Regal Gardens.

the Lee Family and Mason Family were connected by marriage. When the time came, there would definitely be a lot of media present. Everyone would give their blessing to the new couple, but Sierra Moore was not included.

She had already said that she wanted Jack Lee to be happy, but she would not bless him. After all, she used to like him so much.

What's more, Jack Lee had already forgotten about Sierra Moore, so why should he invite her to participate in his engagement ceremony? Wasn't this unnecessary?

Therefore, Sierra Moore guessed that sending the invitation was not Jack Lee's intention. According to her understanding of him, even if he had lost his memory, he should not humiliate her like this.

Then it could be explained that the invitation was sent by Emily Mason, with the purpose of letting Sierra Moore see it with her own eyes so that she would completely give up on Jack Lee.

In fact, Sierra Moore had no other thoughts about Jack Lee for a long time. It was just that she was unable to accept Emily Mason's betrayal, and even more so, she was unable to accept that the boy who once doted on her and loved her had completely forgotten about her.

After receiving the invitation in the morning, Sierra Moore had complicated feelings. She shut herself in her room and did not go out for the whole day.

Her heart was a mess, and she could only draw continuously. The paintings were all about her before she was eighteen years old when she only had Jack Lee in her eyes.

The girl in the paintings was sweet and lovely, and every smiling face of hers was so pure.

At that time, although she lost the protection of her parents and grandfather, she was satisfied because of Jack Lee as if she had the whole world.

Ten years of companionship was not something that could be forgotten overnight. In the past six years, she had tried to forget him, but every time she dreamed at midnight, she would remember the good times of the past.

Jack Lee never gave up on her and he was a considerate person that she would never forget.

He was the one who told her that the flower language of lavender was waiting for love. She always remembered it, which was why she yearned for Provence, the romantic place full of lavenders.

He was also the one who said that he would always cherish her. It was enough for her to have him, so she would always only have him by her side, and no one else would be able to enter her heart.

She used to think that she would marry Jack Lee when she grew up. He would propose to her in the lavender field she liked and hold a wedding at the seaside she loved.

They would be like in the past, accompanying each other for another ten years, twenty years, or even longer.

But today, when she learned that the boy she loved deeply was about to be engaged to another woman, she still found it hard to accept.
