"But I am no longer..." Sierra Moore covered her face in pain and sobbed.
Her tears fell very quickly, but the rest of her words could no longer be said.
But even though it was just a few words, Nathan Shaw understood.
He didn't feel a sense of disappointment, but he did feel a sense of loss.
He looked down at Sierra Moore, who was on the verge of collapse. There was no disgust or dislike in his eyes, only a moment of heartache.
It was as if he saw a scene from many years ago.
The girl who was laughing happily under the sunlight cheerfully threw herself on the boy and ruffled his hair.
The boy let her do as she pleased, his eyes full of love.
His silence further confirmed the speculation in Sierra Moore's heart. She thought no man would be magnanimous enough to accept this matter. Although that time was just an accident, it could not erase the fact that she was no longer a virgin.
When Nathan Shaw came back to his senses, he saw the sadness on his girl's face. The despair in her eyes hurt him deeply and made him wake up.
He thought to himself, "What am I doing to my girl?"
"Sisi."
Nathan Shaw lowered his head and looked into her eyes earnestly, saying, "Sisi, I can wait for you.
"Until the day you truly open your heart to me."
Sierra Moore fiercely closed her eyes and buried her head into his shoulder. She choked and said, "Nathan Shaw, give me some time."
In the blink of an eye, it was New Natear's Day. The person who was still sleeping in the morning suddenly received a strange call.
"It's me!"
The voice on the phone was a little familiar, but it also did not seem so familiar.
When she heard this voice, Sierra Moore's mind suddenly became clear. She looked at the person who was still sleeping next to her and said softly on the phone, "Wait a minute."
Sierra Moore got up, put on some clothes, and walked to the balcony. The early morning air made her very happy. She slowly let out a breath, "Mr. Lee, is there something you need me for?"
Such an obviously distant tone made Jack Lee's heart sink. He sighed softly and said, "Can't I look for you if I have nothing to do?"
Sierra Moore bit her lips and did not speak. In fact, she did not know what to say.
She didn't speak, and Jack Lee didn't speak either. Both sides were silent.
After a while, Jack Lee could not help but speak first, "I am going to be engaged to Emily Mason today."
Sierra Moore's expression changed as she asked him through the phone, "You called me just to tell me this?"
Jack Lee's breathing tightened. He opened his mouth, but he found that he did not know what to say.
In fact, he did not understand why he made this call early in the morning.
In fact, in Jack Lee's memory, Sierra Moore did not exist at all.
He had even suspected that it was because the blow he had received back then was too great that he had forgotten everything.
But in that case, why would he still feel unwilling?
In fact, before he saw this girl, he had already gotten used to the existence of Emily Mason.
He really wanted to marry and have children with her. All of this had clearly been decided long ago. He thought to himself, "Why is it that today, all I thought about is another person?"
He wanted to see Sierra Moore, and he missed her like he was crazy.
Jack Lee fiercely closed his eyes and lowered his head to look at the maple leaves that had fallen beside his feet. "I'm sorry about what happened that day. Emily doesn't usually behave like this."
Thinking about how Emily Mason approached her with a purpose, Sierra Moore sneered in her heart and said, "What does her behavior have to do with me? You don't have to say sorry to me."
She raised her head and looked at the rising sun in the distance. She reached out her hand to grab the golden light, but the golden light fell on her face through her fingers.
It was warm and comfortable.
Sierra Moore felt the sunlight falling on her body and her voice became lazy. She just wanted to end this conversation early.
"If you call me because you want me to bless you, I'm afraid I will disappoint you." Previously, she had said that even if she let him go, she would not bless them!
The cold wind blowing on the glass door behind her made a clattering sound. Sierra Moore looked back and said, "If you have nothing else, I have to hang up."
Jack Lee quickly said, "Wait."
Sierra Moore had never been able to ignore him. She raised her head and forced the rush of bitterness back. Her voice was slightly impatient. She asked, "Is there anything else, Mr. Lee?"
Jack Lee said bitterly, "I remember that you used to call me Jackie."
It was this sentence that caused the disguise that Sierra Moore had put up with great difficulty to suddenly collapse. She lost control of her emotions and shouted into the phone, "You're not my Jackie."
Sierra Moore held the railing with her hand and tried to look at the mountains in the distance, trying to calm herself down, but her tears could not help but fall.
"Why did you call me? Why did you tell me this? Did you want me to know how happy you were after you left me? Now that I know, are you satisfied?"
"You're crying? Don't cry. I didn't mean to make you cry. I just... Sisi..." Jack Lee heard her crying and panicked.
He just wanted to see her again.
In fact, he had been in a lot of pain these days. He did not know how to tell Sierra Moore his own thoughts, nor did he know how to recover the lost memory.
The reason why he called was to tell her that he regretted it.
He did not want to be engaged to Emily Mason. He only hoped that after he recovered that memory, the girl in his memory would still be waiting for him in the same place.
However, everyone knew that this was impossible. They had already been apart for six years. Even if without Emily Mason, Nathan Shaw still stood between them and could not be crossed.
Jack Lee refused to give up and asked, "Will you come today?"
"No, no, I won't go. Jack Lee, I don't want to see you again!"
Sierra Moore cried out uncontrollably and hung up the phone. She squatted down and buried her face in her knees to cry. She didn't want to cry, but she just couldn't help it.
Fortunately, she did not forget the person in the room. She sniffed and limped back to the room.
The moment her white and clear fingers lifted the white gauze, Sierra Moore looked at the man leaning against the bed and smoking, and her face suddenly turned pale.
She thought to herself, "When did he wake up?
"Did he hear the call just now?"
When Sierra Moore came in, Nathan Shaw looked up at her. He pressed the cigarette butt into the ashtray and stretched out a hand to her.
In this manner, Nathan Shaw made her feel afraid. Sierra Moore's fingers grabbed the mobile phone. She slowly walked over, put her hand in his hand, and waited for the storm to come.
When she went to the balcony, though she was wearing a coat, her hands and feet were still cold.
When her hand was held by Nathan Shaw, it was slightly frozen by the same cold temperature. Sierra Moore knew she was in the wrong and looked at him with a pair of wet eyes.
"Nathan Shaw."
Hearing her soft voice with a nasal sound, Nathan Shaw frowned and looked at her for a moment. He lifted the quilt and said, "Come up."
Sierra Moore immediately kicked off her slippers and got into bed. The temperature in the bed warmed her cold body. She leaned on Nathan Shaw's body meekly, but her eyes were fixed on him without blinking.
She knew that he was angry.
"I'm sorry."
Sierra Moore took the initiative to apologize, even though she did not know why she had to apologize. She thought to herself, "Is it because I picked up a phone call, or because I accidentally woke him up?"
Her chin was raised by a hand, and the rich smell of tobacco was somewhat unbearable, but she could not refuse.
Nathan Shaw looked into her trembling eyes. There was a hint of dangerous anger hidden in his voice, but his tone was indifferent. "Are you so afraid that I will be angry?"
Sierra Moore nodded and shook her head. Seeing that his expression was getting worse and worse, she simply lowered her head and apologized, "Nathan Shaw, I was wrong. Don't be angry."
In fact, knowing Nathan Shaw's temper, she knew that he was actually very easy to get along with, as long as everything followed his will.
Sierra Moore wanted to get away with it like this, but it was obvious that Nathan Shaw did not intend to let her off so easily.
The pair of eyes above her head was filled with bottomless darkness, and the anger that could not be ignored caused Sierra Moore's pitiful belief to utterly collapse.
She bit her lips, her trembling eyes filled with tears as she called out his name uneasily, "Nathan Shaw, I apologize. I admit my mistake. Can you talk to me?"
It was difficult to not be tempted by Sierra Moore who was in a fragile state.
Nathan Shaw looked down at her. "You know that my patience is not good. This is the last time. Don't let me see you cry for another man again."
Such a gentle voice was unusually cold when it entered her ears. Sierra Moore was so scared that her body trembled and her tears could not help but flow.
He patted her head comfortingly. Sierra Moore looked up at him, but his eyes did not fall on her. Instead, he lifted the quilt and got up to leave.
His departure took away the temperature of the quilt, and without him, the bed was no longer nostalgic.
Seeing Nathan Shaw get dressed and go out, Sierra Moore also came out of the quilt with a sad expression on her face. She thought to herself, "This time it seemed that I really went too far!"
When Sierra Moore changed her clothes and went downstairs, Wendy had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast. Seeing these things that she usually liked to eat, Sierra Moore was not interested at all.
Just now, she had quietly searched around the living room. She had even gone to the kitchen and bathroom, but she had not seen Nathan Shaw.
When Wendy saw Sierra Moore walking around without the walking stick and not afraid of a bump, she quickly went over and helped Sierra Moore up. "Miss, be careful of your legs!"
Just as Sierra Moore sat down, she vaguely heard the sound of a car engine outside the door. She quickly stood up again and jumped to open the door with one leg. Just then, she saw the slowly closing automatic door. The Bugatti Veyron whistled away.
Wendy had just entered the kitchen and came out when she saw Sierra Moore looking dejected, so she asked if Sierra Moore was feeling unwell.
Sierra Moore sat at the dining table and had no appetite at all. She just poked the fried egg on the plate with a fork and said in a muffled voice, "Nathan Shaw left."
When Wendy heard that Nathan Shaw had left, both of her eyebrows wrinkled. "Sir has already left? Why didn't he eat breakfast before leaving?"
Sierra Moore said angrily, "Who knows if he has an appointment with a beauty?"
