Caroline woke up feeling thirsty in her half-asleep state.

"Water..." she said.

As soon as she spoke, a bottle was pressed to her lips. She unconsciously reached for it but touched someone's hand instead.

Too thirsty to think about it, she took a big gulp from the bottle being held, enough to soothe her burning throat, then pushed it away.

Suddenly, something cool touched her forehead. She opened her eyes.
