Tiffany was the daughter of the Sinclair Family. She had three overprotective brothers.
If they found out that she had been hurt, Olivia would be in serious trouble.
As she saw how Alexander was cradling Tiffany with care, Olivia's heart grew numb. Her voice was hoarse as she asked, "You want me to apologize?"
"You attacked her first," Alexander said firmly. "You know how important her legs are. She's a dancer."
Of course, Tiffany was precious. Even the hair on her head should be treated with care. And Olivia? She wasn’t worth more than a weed on the side of the road.
Olivia had been enduring it for two years. She had decided not to put up with it any longer.
She said defiantly, "Whether you believe me or not, she attacked me first."
The housekeeper, who was on Tiffany's side, chimed in, "Mr. Hawthorne, I saw it with my own eyes. Madam pushed Ms. Sinclair first."
Alexander's brow furrowed as he spoke with a sharp voice, "Apologize now!"
"What if I don't?" Olivia shot back.
Alexander's eyes flashed with surprise. He was shocked to see his usually obedient wife talking back to him like that.
This wasn’t the Olivia he knew.
His gaze darkened as he stared at her. "Olivia, you have finally shown your true self. Have you gotten yourself a new lover?"
Olivia suppressed her feelings of grievance and replied, "Yeah, and my new lover is so good, unlike many people who think an ex might be irreplaceable."
"New lover? Who is it? You live under my roof and eat my food. How dare you keep a man behind my back?" Alexander grabbed her wrist tightly.
"I will never tell you," Olivia replied. She was already tired of explaining. She snatched her hand from him and pulled out all her clothes from the suitcase. "These are my clothes before I married into the Hawthorne Family two years ago. You can take back the suitcase."
Alexander became more furious as he heard that. He was convinced that she must have had someone on the side.
He clenched his fists and said deliberately, "Is that all? Have you forgotten that the clothes on you now were bought by me?"
"I'll return those too," she answered defiantly.
Alexander's gaze turned colder. He kept staring at her intently.
Tiffany's eyes sparkled with excitement. She took out her phone to capture this moment.
Olivia stood there, as if nothing else mattered, and started taking off her jacket.
Alexander watched her and said, "Don't forget to remove your underwear too!"
At those words, Olivia's face went pale.
He accused her of cheating, and now he wanted her to remove her underwear in front of everyone. Did he want to rip off all her dignity?
As Alexander's eyes were fixated on Olivia, he thought, 'If she can just beg for mercy like she used to and act obediently and submissively, I will let her go...'
Olivia, however, had no intention of giving in. She gritted her teeth and began unbuttoning her shirt, one button after the other.
As she was undoing the buttons, her delicate collarbone and the outline of her chest gradually became visible…
She felt her heart was being squeezed tightly. It ached so much that she found it hard to breathe. She also felt like something precious was disappearing from deep within her…
Suddenly, a buzzing roar echoed through the air as a helicopter landed powerfully on the lawn.
Several tall bodyguards in black suits rushed out of the helicopter and strode aggressively toward them.
They approached Olivia and respectfully said, "Miss, we're here to escort you out!"
'Miss? Escort me out?'
Olivia was puzzled but she suddenly noticed a text message on her phone. The message came half an hour ago.
It was from her aunt, Carol: Ollie, we found your real family! They’ve sent someone to take you back!
‘Real family?’
As Olivia stared at the message, she felt like she was in a dream. 'Did I really have a family?'
She pinched her thigh to feel some pain so that she could confirm that this wasn’t a dream.
