Trevor parked his car next to a luxury clubhouse located on the outskirts, which was incompatible with the surrounding area.
He looked at the blazing sun outside the window, and then looked at the little girl, who was very tired with a pale face.
He was a little bit regretful, for he squeezing her hard.
Seeing she slept tight, he changed the temperature and put his coat on her body. Now that she wanted to take a nap, he just let her sleep a little longer, because it would be a hard work for her to do the style later.
Layla was sleeping with her head cocked to one side, and Trevor was also busy with his work, dealing with his e-mails via the on-board computer.
These days, he had spent too much time and too many efforts on her, and on the matters arranged by his family; therefore, he had accumulated piles of emails to cope with.
A crisp ring tone broke the silence inside the car. Layla was woken up, rubbing her sleepy eyes, and she was still in a trance. Trevor picked up the phone and answered it in English.
Then, he hung it up, turned to Layla, who looked like a confused worm, and said, “Hey, wake up. The sun will go down if you keep sleeping.”
Layla took a look at the time on the on-board computer and replied, “It’s just eleven o’clock. Why is the sun going down? It hasn’t yet fully risen.”
“How dare you talk back to me!” Trevor realized he would get mad as long as the little woman spoke to him.
“No. I’ll get off at once...” Layla has learned how to unfasten the seat belt and open the car door, and she soon jumped out of the car, blocking the burning sun with her hands.
“Winding Path!” She read the sign outside and looked around: it was a remote place.
“Although it’s a little bit far, it’s the best style club in Avalon.” He stood by her side, “They can help change your ugly duckling look into an elegant swan.”
When Trevor and Layla walked in hand in hand, the staff inside immediately welcomed them warmly, and even the boss Mark Mitchell came out.
Trevor and Mark greeted each other with a malicious intent, and Trevor directly asked Mark to make the style for Layla.
The boss boasted he could make her more beautiful than Miss Universe.
“Please, Miss. Evans.” Mark guided her with a gentle gesture.
“Wow, there’s a star! I’ve seen her on TV.” She exclaimed.
“Only a little star. No need to be that excited. There’s a film and television company under Moore Group with plenty of superstars. Relying on me, you’ll be flattered by them.” Seeing her disgrace manner, Trevor frowned.
“What?” She felt at a loss.
“Come on, you’ve done business in this industry for many years. Why didn’t you care about my business and ask the stars under your company to do styles here?” While collecting the styling tools, Mark teased Trevor.
“Humph, shut up.” Trevor and Mark were good friends for many years. Though their relationship was not that tight like that of him and Luke Harris, they were relaxing when together.
“The cream always comes to the top. Only those who know how to appreciate beauty can find here. As for those with poor taste, I can’t deal with them.” Mark whipped his hair, making a cool pose.
“Tidy and dress her up. Don’t be too cheap.” Finding himself a cozy place, Trevor took out the laptop and continued with his emails.
Layla originally thought making a style was not a big deal, but it actually took her five hours, and the lunch was bought by Trevor from several kilometers away.
Layla’s skin was white and tender, and her feature was regular. After Mark pranking her up, she was even more like a fairy.
Her ponytail with a natural roll was untied and straightened like a black waterfall behind.
The pure white dress on her body was both elegant and decent, without losing the girl’s original purity. With simple jewelry and a pair of silver high heels, she was gentle and charming in front of the mirror.
“My boss, look at my work. Whether she can join the beauty contest as the Miss Universe?” Mark was very satisfied with his work.
Looking at the beauty in front of him, Trevor couldn’t believe she was the little girl delivering take outs. She was like a rich lady from the upper classes of society. Trevor looked up and down, and Layla was a little embarrassed and smiled. Her two small dimples became the finishing touch of this work.
Trevor was somewhat absent-minded. He was very satisfied with this style, which was not that extravagant, but very tasteful, especially suitable for taking back home and meeting his parents.
After Mark pat Trevor’s shoulder, he recovered with a few smirks and said, “Oh, you’re really good at this! Today, I do see the magic to turn bad into good.”
Layla curled her lip: was she bad? She was very pretty, wasn’t she? She was the campus belle at her high school.
Trevor left with Layla, but when Layla just took a step, she staggered, almost falling over.
“May I change my shoes? The heels are too high to walk with.” She cried with a twisted face. She has never worn a pair of shoes with the heels higher than ten centimeters, and the heels were too thin. Walking on them was just like on chopsticks.
Trevor was suddenly depressed, so was Mark, for that simply killed their joy.
“You must wear them. You can’t put them off.” Trevor held and dragged Layla to the outside, and then finally picked her up and directly threw her into the seat.
“Where are we going now?” Layla asked.
“I have to show you to my parents. Now go home with me. I’ve told my parents I’ll take my fiancee back home for the dinner.” Trevor put it very casually, but Layla was scared and broke out in a cold sweat.
“Oh...my...may I refuse...” Layla muttered, and she didn’t dare to speak her minds out.
“No. Listen, don’t make my parents angry. They like fair ladies. Although you do not have these characteristics, you must act like that.”
“The dishes will be very tasty, but you are not allowed to eat much, otherwise it’ll be not elegant.”
“Don’t drink. You can say that you can’t drink, and it’ll make you look lovely.”
“After our arrival, you need to go to the kitchen and give a hand, which will make you look virtuous.”
“Talk sweet, and praise my parents. Everyone love praises.”
...
When Trevor spoke unceasingly, Layla obviously didn’t listen to him, merely feeling very nervous.
“You live in Azure Cloud Villa?” Layla exclaimed.
The most richest people all lived here. And each estate would cost tens of millions.
When Layla lived in the small villa of the Evans’, she was bored of listening to her stepmother Judy’s complaining that her biggest wish was she could move to Azure Cloud Villa one day.
“Hmm!” Trevor was proud of himself, for Azure Cloud Villa was the first big project done by him after he took charge of Moore Group.
After Trevor drove the car into his courtyard, a driver immediately came to help him park the car into the garage.
“Look“, watch your behaviors” That was his final warning to Layla, but she was stupefied by the magnificent yard and architecture.
Trevor dragged her into the gate of the villa. All she could see was a highly luxurious lobby, and she guessed it could cover an area of hundreds of square meters, and be used as a football court.
The marble floor was polished, and the shadows were visible when lower your head. There were so much to see with a variety of expensive decorations and furniture.
“Welcome, Young Master. I’ll tell Master and Madam you’re back.” After a respectful greeting, the woman in a white shirt went to the second floor from a special maid channel.
Although Johnson was 61 years old, and his health was not good before, his eyes were glowing, and he was in high spirit.
In an antique shirt with buttons down the front, he was like a noble in the old time.
By his side was his wife Haley, wearing a dark blue dress, and it was a good match with Johnson’s shirt.
This old couple sat down in the luxurious European leather sofa, looking at their son and the little girlfriend he brought back.
“Dad, Mum!” Trevor proactively greeted them in a polite manner.
Then he pushed Layla a step forward, “She’s Layla, my girlfriend. I take her home today for you to meet her.”
“Hello, Mister and Ms. Moore.” After her greeting, Layla took a big bow.
Trevor frowned at her performance, for she was a little bit silly.
“Good, have a seat.” Seeing Layla was slim and graceful with decent dressing, which was what she had expected long before, Haley was very delighted.
Although Layla behaved in an exaggerated manner, it was not bad.
Holding her slender waist, Trevor sat down in a love seat with her.
He was very relaxed and crossed his legs, but Layla sat up properly.
It seemed Johnson was smiling, for none could tell what his expression was, but he was anxious to know the information about his future daughter-in-law.
He tipped Haley a look, and Haley was about to start checking it out when Trevor said slowly, “I think you still don’t know about Layla. Let me introduce her to you.”
“Oh, that would be great.” Haley said with a smile.
