Trevor took Layla to the most luxurious seafood restaurant in Avalon, where they could enjoy food while enjoying the sight of marine life. Layla's stomach had already rumbled with hunger, so she gobbled down all the food without any refined manners. As for the aquarium animals swimming around the restaurant, she did not even give a glance at them.
Trevor, different from her, was graceful in manner, tasting the Château Lafite-Rothschild quietly while enjoying his wife's gobbling down her food.
"Burp!" A discordant voice broke the silence in the private room, making Layla a little embarrassed. She stuck out her tongue to Trevor, who had been staring at her.
"Yeah, I am full," said Layla while rubbing he stomach. A look of satisfaction appeared on her face.
Layla frowned and saw that the seafood on the table was almost eaten by her alone. Little was left.
Layla smiled with embarrassment and said to Trevor, "May I order some more for you? Though I am full, I can still eat together with you."
"Okay! I’d be glad accompanied by you. However, I don't want to eat seafood." Trevor said with a charming but evil smile. He dragged Layla sitting on the opposite side of the table into his arms and said in her ear, "I still want to take you as my dinner. It seems I can't have enough of you!"
"No, we're now in the restaurant." Layla blushed soon. So did her ear. Her maidenly shyness pleased Trevor most.
"Calm down! Babe, this seafood restaurant belongs to my friend. I have told him before not to let his employees come in this private room casually. So, without my permission, nobody will come in. Or, they'll be fired." Trevor said so while his hands began to touch her.
"No, I don't want to do it here! Those fish are watching us! No! No!" Layla tried to break away from Trevor. Though there was no one, she still felt embarrassed since there were so many marine lives watching her.
"Then let these marine lives be our eyewitness. Since we can watch them, they will then have the right to do so. Babe, don't you think it will be amazing?" Trevor said while giving a kiss on Layla's cherry-like lips, tasting her.
Her taste was always so sweet and tempting that Trevor always wanted to swallow her, making her blend into his body, never leaving him.
Layla was almost short of breath by Trevor's kiss. Finally, she got a chance to breathe and shouted, "Trevor, we did it just now! Cut it out! I’ve repeated once more; I don't like here. I will not stay here!"
Finishing these words, Layla burst into tears, which were streaming down her cheeks. She could not imagine what kind of person her husband was. He seemed to be so energetic and his demand for her seemed to be endless.
She had always cooperated with him to fulfill her duty as a wife. However, she was the least bit willing to do the embarrassing thing in the restaurant, for she could not accept it.
For Trevor, the little girl's tears were her best weapon. Every time when the two were locked in confrontation with each other, he must get flustered as long as the little girl burst into tears.
Trevor released Layla, who then immediately pushed him away and sobbed to herself squatting down, her face buried in her knees.
"Fine, you don't like here, then let's go. We won't make these annoying fish watch us again. Let's go home, shall we?" Trevor finally compromised. He did not realize that he had made many compromises with his little stupid wife.
Layla just ignored Trevor and continued crying. Her tears seemed to have no limit.
Trevor had a quick temper then, walking a few steps around in this private room. In the end, he squatted down in front of Layla, taking her in his arms. He gently reassured her by saying, "Babe, I won't touch you today, so stop crying. Or, what about buying whatever you want. What's more, do you have any wish? Tell me and I'll make it come true.
Layla was stimulated by his words and she quickly raised her head, looking at him with her eyes blurred by tears.
Immediately, Trevor knew that this little girl would ask a favor of him. He took her up in his arms, letting her sit on his laps, asking her with a gentle voice, "Go ahead, tell me. As long as you won't ask too much, I can meet all your demands."
"I... I'd like to join the Dance Club of our college." Layla finally spoke it out.
After finishing these words, Layla lowered her head and did not dare to look into Trevor's eyes. She was afraid that she would be rejected. What's more, she was more afraid of irritating Trevor, her ruthless and tyrannical husband.
Trevor really didn't want Layla to join those clubs in her college. In contrast, he hoped that Layla would study very hard and would not pay any attention to any other male college students. Besides, he also hoped that she would not be discovered by those young boys. If she participated in any college club, then she would have more social activities and be easier to acquaint young men. In addition, if there would be any performance for the so-called Dance Club, his little wife would be the focus of all men's eyes.
"Well, you must not get too close to those male students in the club. Don't look at any handsome young man. Most important of all, the time you spend together with me everyday should be guaranteed." Though Trevor was really reluctant to agree with her, he unexpectedly approved her proposal in the end.
Trevor himself found it difficult to believe what he just said. And it was after quite a while that he got it figured out. He made such a compromise only for the reason that he was afraid of Layla's disappointed-look eyes and her hostility towards him.
"I promise! I definitely won't look at any handsome guy. These little boys in college are not as handsome as my husband." Layla was so excited that she held Trevor's neck and kissed him heavily on his left cheek, showing her gratitude.
"How about this side?" Trevor tuned his right cheek close to her again, showing a pleasing look. He really enjoyed the little girl's intimate act, which gave him a sense of satisfaction.
At this moment, he felt so lucky that he had not refused Layla's proposal. Or, how could he enjoy such a sweet moment? Maybe the little girl was not that unhappy anymore, so he could possibly seek her consent for more "love" exercise together with him later.
Taking Layla away from the restaurant, Trevor noticed a familiar figure in the corridor.
It was Reed. At the sight of him, Layla felt unhappy. Gosh! Why did she meet him here?
"Speak of the devil, huh?" Layla's words came out from her clenched teeth while Trevor could not help feeling jealous at the sight of the athletic young man walking towards them.
"Hi, Layla! I heard you are sick and asked for a leave. As your classmate, I am worried. But I cannot believe you should be so brave to fake it and play truant on the first day. I really admire your bravery." Reed mocked at her.
"Yuck! If you admire me, then step aside! Great barkers are no biters." Layla left no place for sentiment.
Hearing what Layla said, Trevor felt happier, for his little wife seemed to dislike this athletic young man.
Layla and Reed quarreled with each other with evil words. Observing calmly by aside, Trevor felt satisfied with her eloquence and he believed that she would not be bullied in college.
Reed found Trevor standing next to Layla, thinking that he was the elder of Layla's family. Then he was directly bypassing Layla and said to Trevor, "Uncle, you must be a relative of Layla's! Layla skipped school on the first day. If she continues to act like this, then who knows what she is capable of in the future!"
Reed had planned to combat and suppress Layla with Trevor, the elder. Unexpectedly, however, the word "Uncle" seriously fueled Trevor’s irritation, who was only 27 years old and was sensitive to his age.
"Watch yourself, kid. It's not your turn to tell Layla how to act," said Trevor. All of a sudden, he gave the strong Reed a mighty push, making him almost fall on the ground.
"Let's go, Layla. We should go to the hospital to have a look at your injury." Trevor said to Layla gently while she snuggled up to him. They left the restaurant with a strut.
Reed gazed at their receding figures and kicked the wall of the corridor. The pictures on the wall almost fell off.
"Damn it! Layla, let's wait and see." Reed returned to his private room and had dinner with his parents. But he was disappointed and wondered who that man was, Layla's uncle, her brother, or...? No! It must not be that kind of relationship.
Reed did not tend to continue wondering about their relationship anymore. He was very upset at this moment. He had to find out who the man was and figure out the relationship between him and Layla. But he could not understand why he planned to do so.
"You won't really take me to the hospital, will you?" Layla said to Trevor when she went out of the restaurant.
"If you are willing to show your bottom to the doctor, I don't mind taking you to the hospital then." Trevor replied and started his car.
"Then you were helping me just now! Yes! You helped me. Thank you!" Layla felt a little sweet in her heart. Though he usually bullied her, he would always help her and protect her whenever she was in trouble...
"Now it's time for you to be frank! What relationship do you have with the boy? Are you interested in him? Or, does he like you? Will he join the Dance Club you mentioned?" Trevor asked a train of questions.
"Him? Ew, no! We're enemies. Didn't you once ask me who kicked me? To tell you the truth, it was him."
"He kicked me and said I blocked his way. How can I have feelings for a guy like that? He is such a loser. Any girl must be a fool to fall in love with him."
"Dancing is kind of elegant art. Dance Club will not admit dancers like him, such a tall man like him without harmonious arms and legs."
Layla had been whispering and complaining for a while. But Trevor was not bored and kept listening to her with a smile. He did not know why he just liked Layla's complaints about these amusing things of other men.
"Oh, where are we going now?" Layla finished complaining about Reed. Then she found she had no idea of the destination.
"To the place where you desperately wanna go," said Trevor raising his eyebrows.
