Chapter 44 Making Registration for Dance Club

Layla walked down the corridor of the teaching building without noticing a familiar figure standing back to her. It was Lily, showing a wicked and evil smile after Layla left, speaking to herself, "Hmm, Layla, do you think you have destroyed all the pictures? No way! After I upload all the pictures to the Internet, I believe you won't be able to put the case clearly even if you are eloquent."

"Hand it over!" Reed said in a cold voice at the back of Lily.

"Ah!" Lily screamed out of fright. But, when she found it was Reed, she immediately showed him an affectedly sweet look.

"It's you! Why did you appear behind me all of a sudden? It's really scaring!" Lily pretended a maidenly shy look, which would not arouse Reed's interest at all.

Reed stretched to seize Lily's smartphone. He had a careful look at the album in it and could not help frowning. Who could believe that this woman took photos of both Layla and him? And in some of the pictures they there were having dozes. Lily was really low.

"I won’t blame you for this time. But all I wanna do is just warn you that I will make your eyes blind if you dare to take photos of other people without permission again. This phone will be confiscated by me and here's some money compensating you for your smartphone." Taking out a handmade wallet made of leather, Reed dug into it for a pile of banknotes and threw them directly at Lily's face, causing them to scatter around.

Lily felt that she was insulted and aggrieved, but she managed to control herself. Holding Reed, who was leaving, by his strong arms, Lily said to him in a voice full of grievances and charms, "My smartphone is now ruined by you, so would you like to accompany me to buy a new one?"

Turning around, Reed grabbed Lily by the throat and raised her chin. He had a deliberately careful look of her up and down, saying, "You're really ugly. Want my company? Don’t flatter yourself!"

Reed said what he had to say and strode off.

Lily stood alone in the empty corridor of the teaching building, not knowing whether she should leave or stay. Besides, facing a mass of money on the ground, she felt almost heart-rendering. Why didn't the boy like her? Instead, he was quite friendly to Layla and seemed to be close with her. She was really annoyed and was completely sick of it...

Lily had always been very confident about her figure and her appearance. However, why did Reed dislike her? She really did not understand. In the noble middle-high school, she had already attracted countless boys who were in their first bloom of love. As far as she was concerned, there would be no such a man who she could not handle as long as she made the first move. But today she had been humiliated by Reed, twice.

Despite the fact he treated her like that, she still thought that he was so handsome that she was reluctant to let him go.

Layla did not tend to have dinner in the fancy restaurant on campus. She made a phone call to Angel immediately. Although Angel was busy with the military training, she still had the free lunch time. They went off-campus to enjoy some local street food and enjoyed themselves.

"Angel, I am going to join the Dance Club of the college. Here's the invitation card given to me in person by the president. This afternoon, I will go for registration."

"Wow, it's so great! Layla, you have always been gifted in performance. Now it's a chance to shine. Keep it up!" Angel stroke a "Yeah" pose in her military uniform, making her extremely courageous.

"Angel, to tell you the truth, the president of the Dance Club is super handsome and looks like a superstar," said Layla, who acted like a girl who was easily infatuated with an attractive young man. Both of them liked checking out handsome boys and making judgments about them in middle school.

Angel said with excitement in her eyes, "Layla, you must lock him down."

Layla suddenly thought of Trevor's warning and then her eyes dimmed. She told Angel, "Although he is very handsome, he is not my type. Or, how about introducing him to you?"

"Great! But he better be a really handsome guy." Angel joked, knowing Layla was just teasing.

"Deal! After I know other members of the Dance Club, I will show you around. By the way, I will then introduce our president to you!" Layla poked fun at Angel and she wondered what expression Zion would have if he knew her plan.

After lunch, Layla reached FLY Dance Club according to the address given by Zion.

Pushing the door open, Layla entered the dancing room and found some girls practicing ballet with several young men seated on one side, cheering them on. The dancing room was luxuriously well-equipped. There is no comparison between the dancing room of her middle-high school and this one.

"Hello, everybody! My name is Layla. I come here for registration." Layla greeted those present cheerfully. But unfortunately, they all ignored her. In other words, it was like she didn’t exist..

Layla shrugged her shoulders helplessly, walking towards the back of the dancing room and taking a seat in a corner. She quietly watched these girls dancing, which were not that good to her. If she would take a chance on the stage, she believed that she would immediately win against them.

Sitting there all by herself, Layla felt so bored that she decided to walk around, only finding that it was not the only dancing room. Instead, all the rooms on this floor were used as dancing rooms.

"Dear me! It's really too luxurious! Dervay Saints Academy is not specialized in dancing, but they should have so many luxuriously decorated dancing rooms. How much money did all these rooms cost? The college for the nobility is truly rich," spoke Layla to herself.

Suddenly, in the innermost dancing room, Layla saw a familiar figure through a French window.

That's right. It was him, Zion.

At this moment, Zion was practicing a waltz alone to the melodic music. His motion, figure, and steps... were all perfect.

Layla was standing there watching in awe. After the song came to an end, Zion stopped and picked up the towel to wipe his sweat away. At this moment, he found Layla standing in the doorway in a trance. Zion smiled warmly.

"Layla, you finally came." Zion walked to Layla.

"Yeah, Senior Zion, I have thought about it and realized that I really like dancing. So, I came. I’d appreciate any advice you can give me." Layla grinned and felt extremely happy at the sight of such a handsome young man.

"On behalf of FLY Dance Club, welcome to our club!" Zion said with a smile.

Zion took Layla to the office of FLY Dance Club and gave her a form. "You have to fill in the form. Submit it to me when you’re done."

"Okay!" Layla then took out the pen out of her bag and filled in the form carefully. The pen was given by Trevor.

Noticing the pen, Zion could not help asking her, "There are not many students using pens now. Why do you use a pen?"

"Because my handwriting is really bad. I use a pen to practice my handwriting." Layla answered as she was filling in the form.

Hearing this, Zion walked behind Layla. At the sight of Layla's messy handwriting, he could not help smiling, "Indeed, your handwriting could use some work. But as long as you persist in practice, you will definitely achieve improvement."

"Well, I hope so." Finishing these words, Layla continued to fill in the form.

Zion browsed through some notebooks among the bookshelf, glancing over them.

Finishing the form, Layla handed it over to Zion in humble reverence. "Senior Zion, would you mind helping me with my form?"

"Okay. It's good. It's not an exam. All we need is only your info. So, there's no right or wrong." Zion had a careful looked at Layla's registration form and then put it in the archives of the Dance Club.

Zion took out a card and handed it over to Layla, saying, "Layla, you are now a member of FLY Dance Club. This is the card key to the dancing rooms. You can come to practice when you are free. There are many activities held on campus. So are the opportunities for you to showcase your talent."

"Yes, Senior Zion!" said Layla taking over the card key, feeling joyful.

"Follow me. Let me give you a tour of the club," Zion showed Layla around while making an introduction to her.

At this moment, Layla discovered that it was not the entire floor but the whole building that was used for dancing rooms. As for the dance club, FLY Dance Club was not the only club for dancing. There were three other dancing clubs competing with FLY.

"Layla, have you remembered the locations of dancing rooms, the office, locker rooms, and bathrooms?" asked Zion after the visit.

"Yes, I have. Senior Zion, then when do we usually practice dancing? Or, we do the practice alone?" Layla asked. She really minded the indifference from those ballet dancers, but it would not matter much if they were not members of FLY Dance Club.

"Many dances require cooperation. We will hold a meeting for all members at 4 o'clock this afternoon, that is, the third class. You should be on time for that. The place for the meeting is in the room where I practiced dancing just now." Zion said.

"Okay, I have no classes this afternoon. Then I will stay here until 4 o'clock to attend the meeting." Layla was so eager to dance at this moment. Besides, she secretly hoped that she could have a chance to dance with him for a song.

"Good! But I have to go immediately to the classroom for the first and second classes in the afternoon. You can get familiar with the environment here. If you want to dance, just scan your card to access any empty room.. The innermost three rooms on the second floor and all the rooms on the third floor belong to us," said Zion. Actually, he would like to accompany this freshman of high intelligence. But there was a very important class on economics this afternoon, which he must attend and listen intently.

Hearing that Zion was leaving, Layla felt a little upset. But soon she smiled and said, "Okay, I got it. I will practice in the dancing room. Senior Zion, if you have a class to attend, then hurry up in case you will be late. Don't worry about me!"

"Well, contact me if you have any need. My phone number is on the invitation card I gave you before," said Zion.

"Okay, got it! Then see you later!" Layla said goodbye to Zion and returned to the dancing room alone. Looking into the mirror, she casually practiced some dance movements.

"Haha, you're really ugly! Piggy Layla,  you actually came here to dance. My gosh! It's hilarious! Haha..." Reed's voice and waves of laughterfelt like the ghosts lingering around her.
