In FLY Dance Club, watching Zion and Molly dancing in perfect sync, Layla could not help praising their dance in her heart and she felt ashamed of her inferiority. At four o'clock in the afternoon, Layla left the college and she went to the market and bought some vegetables that Trevor liked to eat. After that, she finally returned to the apartment.
Entering the room, Layla heard some sound. Trevor would not possibly come back so early, so, was it a thief in the room?
Putting all the things down quietly, Layla picked up a long-handled umbrella by the door. She then tiptoed into the bedroom following the sound. There was someone standing back to her. Towards this back, Layla raised the umbrella, shouting, "Petty thief, let me beat you..."
"Ah!" Layla was caught immediately with her arms crossing back her body.
"Idiot! Are you crazy?" Trevor's angry voice penetrated Layla's fragile eardrum.
Layla was stunned. It turned out to be Trevor. How could this old man return home so early today? Something felt off!
However, Layla did not have more time to think, for her arms really hurt so much that her face twisted in pain.
"Ouch! It hurts! Quickly... let me off! My arms were almost broken! Please! Honey!" Layla hurriedly begged for mercy.
Trevor loosened Layla and asked unhappily with his arms crossed, "Have you even realized that I am your husband? Didn't you take me as a petty thief and tend to beat me?"
"No, I made a mistake. I didn't expect that you may come back so early. Besides, you stood back at me. In the dim light in the bedroom, I mistook you." Layla bowed her head, looking like she had really made an unforgivable mistake.
"But now I can figure it out clearly that you are not the petty thief, but my husband!" Taking Trevor's arm in her arms, Layla tried to sweet-talk him before he flew into a rage, asking, "Honey, why did you come back so early today? But you'll be lucky to enjoy good food, for I bought your favourite vegetables today."
Trevor had never been immune to Layla if she spoke or act coquettishly. A glance of her bright smile had comforted his fiery temper.
"Okay, go to cook!" Trevor replied indifferently.
After a long while of cooking time, there were finally a few decent dishes on the table, including meat, vegetables, and soup...
"Hubby, the meal is ready!" Layla called Trevor in a sweet voice. He was still in the bedroom.
Trevor walked into the dining room in a casual way. There was a little flush on his face due to the shower just now. His short hair was disheveled and was dripping from time to time.
"Hubby, I made all your favorite dishes today." Layla took over the big towel that Trevor used to dry his hair. After he took a seat, Layla helped him with his dripping shorthair.
Trevor pulled Layla's wrist, saying, "Well, don't bother to do this. It'll be dry later. Take a seat, too. I'll go on a business trip to Zelmont tomorrow and I will be back in half a month. Let’s enjoy a good meal together tonight."
"You'll go on a business trip?"
"For half a month?"
"Leave tomorrow?"
Staring at Trevor with a light shining in her eyes, Layla felt blissfully happy and her face was filled with excitement and joy.
Trevor slammed his chopsticks the table, glaring at Layla, who could not help but tremble with fear.
"Honey, what's the matter with you again?" Layla asked carefully.
"Layla, you are so eager to make me leave, aren't you? When I told you that I am going on a business trip, you did not say goodbye to me, but be so happy. Are you treating me like a plague you want to get rid of?" He clenched his fists. All of a sudden, an impulse to beat someone hit him. Couldn't this little girl comply with him? Why did she always irritate him?
Layla also realized that she had gone too far. So, she hugged Trevor's neck in an affectionate way and nestled into his arms, rubbing his cheeks.
"Honey, I didn't mean it. I just felt very shocked without any preparation. Don't be mad at me! Rest assured! When you are away, I'll obey the rules and regulations, and work hard in the college. What's more, I will definitely not catch a glance at any other handsome guys.
"Well! But what about after class?"
"Go back home on time, and never wander outside."
Trevor sighed, from which Layla knew that he calmed down. In order to please him, Layla quickly picked up a piece of sweet-and-sour pork ribs with chopsticks that Trevor liked, saying, "Honey, take a pork rib!"
Trevor opened his mouth, enjoying the service provided by his little wife. It was quite pleasant.
After dinner, Trevor continued to pack his bags. As soon as he finished it, he could not wait to pull his little wife to go to bed.
Trevor would go on a business trip tomorrow. At the thought of being alone without his wife, Trevor felt a growing emptiness in his heart. So, he packed his bag as early as possible so that he could then enjoyed himself tonight.
Layla also knew his intentions. Thinking of being free in two weeks, however, Layla then gave active cooperation.
After the intense exercises together with Layla, Trevor took the exhausted little woman into the bathroom to take a shower.
Looking at herself in the mirror, Layla found countless hickeys on her body, so she said to Trevor with her lips pursed, "Honey, can you avoid leaving the hickeys on my body next time? If they are found by others, they will laugh at me."
"Layla, if you dare to dress in a way that lets others see those hickeys, I won't forgive you no matter they laugh at you or not." Trevor raised his eyebrows and gave Layla a faint threat.
Layla pouted in frustration, saying, "Honey, it's still hot now. Look at my neck! I don't dare to wear a low-collar T-shirt. Don't you want me to take high-collar one in such a hot day?"
"Then take a scarf!" Trevor said coldly.
"You really drove me mad to death." Feeling very dissatisfied, Layla hugged around Trevor's neck and gave him a heavy kiss his neck, leaving a hickey there like a red strawberry.
"Humph! Let me see whether you will wear a high-collar shirt or take a scarf!" Layla said with a smugly smile.
"Layla!" Trevor shouted. Despite irritation appearing on his face, Trevor did not really fly into a rage in his heart. On the contrary, there was a feeling that was hard to describe, namely, he was very pleased.
Knowing that Trevor was not really irritated, Layla smiled at him in an affectionate way. But feeling the touch of Trevor again, there was also a shock on her face.
"Rest assured! It's enough for today." Trevor finished, making Layla finally heaved a sigh of relief. However, Trevor smiled and said to her in a charming but evil way, "We will say our final goodbye tomorrow morning."
"Ah!" Layla exclaimed.
"Don't refuse me." Trevor kissed Layla on her forehead. His movements and tone were full of affection for her.
"Baby, just now, I thought about it. You won't need to live at home for the two weeks." Trevor did not finish his words when Layla interrupted him and asked, "Are you saying I should stay on campus? Actually, I only went to my dorm once to put my package. As I stayed in the dorm for less than one hour, I barely know my roommates."
"Layla, can you be more careful and not rush through things without thinking?" Trevor frowned and criticized the little woman in his arms with a gentle attitude.
"Oh, I know, my fault." Layla said in a depressed way.
"What mistake did you make?" Trevor asked.
"You had said that I am not allowed to stay in the dorms, but just now I said that I would live in the dorm. So, I was wrong. But, Hubby, you won't allow me to live here nor in the dorm. Do you want me to go back to the old place that I rented before? Aren't you afraid that the nasty landlord may bully me?" Hugging around Trevor's neck, Layla muttered in his ear.
"You silly girl! What am I going to do with you?" Trevor became speechless.
"You kept interrupting before I had finished. What I mean is to have you moved in the villa." Trevor said.
"What? No! Hubby, if I live together with your parents all by myself, what if I bring serious troubles? Don't let me live there! I beg you, okay?" Layla worried so much that she began to act spoilt again. Anyway, she knew it would work if she begged him in a flirtatious way.
"Be good, Layla. It’s half a month. How can I relax if you’re here all alone? Plus, if you ask a young man back home and put him up, then I will be driven mad to death. Even if you don't provoke other men, what if someone slips into our apartment? What's worse, what will happen there’s a thief? How will you deal with that then?"
"So, it's the best choice if you go to live in the villa with my parents. For one thing, it will be safe. I don't have to worry if there will be a petty thief or some boy getting you into trouble. For another, it's convenient to have mother take care of you to make sure of your health."
Trevor set forth his reasons. But he feared most that his little wife would be seduced by some little boy. He really didn’t want to be a cuckold.
