Chapter 8 The Show Time

The beep of his mobile phone rang again. Leo knew that it was a message from Vivian.

But he didn't respond to her. For the whole day, he did not contact with his wife. He just ignored all the WhatsApp messages and phone calls from her.

Unlike Vivian who was used to being a double-dealer, Leo was afraid that he could not help but question her. And if he said anything wrong, he would definitely alert her.

After waiting for another half an hour, Vivian walked out of the school gate with a group of students, looking a bit worried.

The young man in the car beeped twice softly and Vivian waved at him, then looking down and fiddling with the phone.

At the same time, Leo's mobile phone rang again. It was still a call from Vivian.

Apparently, the fact that Leo repeatedly refused to answer the phone made her anxious, so she continued to call Leo.

After a while, Vivian looked at the phone with disappointment, and she dialed once more after some hesitation.

Hiding in the car, Leo picked up the phone somewhat helplessly. He knew his wife well. If she wanted to make something happen, she would get it done even if she didn't eat or sleep.

Not answering her calls all the time was not a good solution, and it would easily arouse her suspicion. What he needed to do now was to reassure her and only in this way would she dare to continue her indulgence.

“Honey, where are you? Are you alright? Why aren't you responding messages and my calls?” Vivian asked anxiously.

It was noisy at the end of school hours. Leo covered his phone and lowered his voice, “I'm still in a meeting. My phone is on mute. What’s wrong?”

“Oh, I just wanted to know how things were going over there. When will you come back?”

“I'm fine. I'll definitely go back the day after tomorrow. I've already booked my flight.”

“What time will you be home the day after tomorrow, morning or afternoon?”

Leo suddenly felt disgusted and replied in an unkind tone, “Why are you asking about these details? Are you afraid I will bother you?”

As soon as he said so, he regretted that he failed to keep calm. It was unnecessary to say such things.

“What are you talking about? What's wrong with you and why are you saying that to me?” Vivian seemed a little agitated.

“Nothing. I was scolded by a client, so I'm not in a good mood. Well, let's stop here.” After saying so, Leo hung up the call hurriedly.

Through the car window, he found Vivian holding her mobile phone, standing there in a daze. Her figure was willowy and exquisite, as beautiful as a statue of a lady.

The students passing by her were greeting her from time to time. Vivian forced a smile, waved goodbye to the students and collected her thoughts as she walked towards the car.

She sat in the passenger seat and closed the door as the car drove away. At the same time, Leo also started his car to follow his wife.

Gradually, there were more and more cars on the road and the car stopped at a restaurant after driving through a few streets.

The young man got out of the car. After closing the door, he quickly stepped to the other side, opened the door in a very gentlemanly manner and helped Vivian out.

Leo looked at them numbly and thought with hatred in his heart, “Is this their plan to eat first so as to replenish their energy for bed exercise?”

Seeing the two enter the restaurant, he didn't continue to wait. Leo sped up and drove directly to the Regency Grand Hotel.

After a day of tracking, Leo felt that he had become another Sherlock Holmes. He had found a set of tracking skills without a teacher and felt that it was a pity for him not to be a detective.

All he had to do next was to wait for them to return to the hotel. He would smash the door, reveal their affair in the bed and get a divorce.

After getting off at the car park of the hotel, Leo went straight to the lobby and said to the receptionist, “Please get me a room on the 7th floor, with a window that can look out over the car park below.”
