Leo was completely baffled. He thought he was on the right side, and everything he did reflected how clear his conscience was. Who would’ve thought that it would make him look like a reckless man instead?

However, the current situation showed how wrong he was. Very Wrong!

He wronged his wife, tarnished his lover's innocence, and also beat up his innocent brother-in-law deliberately without proper justification.

The wronged Vivian burst into tears and sobbed profusely. Leo immediately apologized to her by bowing, within an ace of kneeling to kowtow to her to prove his sincerity.

Vivian took this opportunity to ask him to break off all relationships with Sophie once and for all. Patting his chest, Leo promised that he would stay away from Sophie, and never gave his wife any trouble again.

After what felt like ages of coaxing and persuasion, Vivian finally smiled through her tears. Leo snatched this opportunity to propose that he should go and meet his father-in-law and mother-in-law.

The reasons for his request are twofold. One was that, no matter how mean Vivian's parents were to him, they’re still his elders. Hence, there was no reason or justifications valid enough for him to avoid seeing them.

The other reason was that he still felt a little uneasy and wary, so he wanted to validate whether Vivian's explanation was true indirectly.

No matter what the reason was, Vivian had once deceived him after all. At this point, it would be impossible for him to believe what she said with merely a few words of explanations.

Vivian glanced at him meaningfully and agreed without hesitation. "Okay, we'll go see my parents first thing in the morning tomorrow. If you're not afraid of them giving you a hard time, then I don’t mind you accompanying me to be scolded by them!"

Leo responded with a smile, "I'm not scared. Plus, they’re still my elders. If I don't go, your parents would be even more hypercritical. A son-in-law will have to meet his in-laws sooner or later anyways, I’m ready for this.”

Vivian giggled tenderly, and softly wrapped her body around Leo’s.

"Honey, did you miss me?"

Leo picked his wife up by the waist and said lustfully, "Of course, you alluring woman, watch me eat you up in bed right now!"

The next morning, a refreshed Leo got up and realized that his wife was not sleeping beside him. After searching around the house for some time, he found Vivian preparing breakfast in the kitchen.

"You’re awake. Go wash up, breakfast is ready." Vivian smiled affectionately, and her gaze at him was full of love and tenderness.

Leo responded and ran to the bathroom to wash up. After that, he accompanied his wife for breakfast.

After his meal, he helped his wife take tableware to the kitchen. While watching her wash them, he asked, seemingly without thinking, "When are we going to visit your parents?"

“We’ll leave right after I finish cleaning up the dishes. Let’s settle this as soon as possible. Treat me to a movie!”

“No problem, I’ll even treat you to a nice dinner after the movie!”

“Yeah! I want to eat steak and a big bowl of ice cream.”

The two were still joking around when one of their mobile phones rang. By the sound of it, it was Vivian's phone.

"Go and answer the phone for me please, my hands are wet!" Vivian said casually.

Leo was delighted. Nowadays, a phone was more than just a simple communication tool. It was, in fact, a virtual storehouse of one's privacy.

It could only mean one thing if she was generous enough to let him answer her phone on her behalf. That was, she had nothing to hide from him, hence it wouldn’t matter if he used her phone.

He was more than willing to help her out with this. Running into the living room, he found Vivian's phone on the coffee table.

The call was from his wife's colleague, Ms. Rachel, who wanted to talk to Vivian about work matters. Leo took the phone to the kitchen and handed it to his wife.

"Ms. Rachel!" Without uttering a word, he mouthed out the caller’s name to her.

Vivian wiped her hands with a rag, took over her phone and chatted with her colleague.

Leo made himself useful by keeping all the washed dishes into the cupboards.
