Chapter 5 Miss Winslow, Can We Talk Now

"Are you going to get married?"

Melina asked, trembling uncontrollably.

"Yes, sis. I'm already pregnant. Madam Blackwood said that this is their family's treasure, so she hopes that we can get married as soon as possible." Vanessa said proudly and deliberately stick her belly out.

"When did you get together? Vanessa, is this how you treat me?" Thinking back to the time when they were close, Melina felt as if her heart had been stabbed by countless knives.

"What did I do to you? didn't you go to the wrong room yourself? I just left the mistake uncorrected and make the best of it. Plus, we have already given you five years. Who knows that you still haven't figured it out in your heart, keep chasing after my Dorian."

"Do you have any shame?" Melina was stunned by her matter-of-fact tone. Was this really her sister whom she had doted on for so many years?

Seeing that she was still rubbing her belly, Melina could not bear to raise her hand and try to slap her.

Slap!

The crisp slap echoed in the corridor.

The burning pain mixed with tears tore the woman's fragile heart into pieces.

Melina widened her eyes in disbelief as she watched Dorian withdraw his hand, as if she were in a nightmare.

He hit her?

He hit her for Vanessa?

It was they who did the wrong thing, alright?

"If you dare to attack Vanessa again, I won't let you off so easily next time!" Dorian said indifferently, as if the person in front of him were not his girlfriend whom he had known for more than ten years, but an enemy.

From his eyes, Melina read his annoyance and indifference without any trace of pity.

"I don't understand why you didn't make it clear all these years. Since you don't love me, why did you pretend for so many years?" The woman screamed, her voice filled with heartbreak.

"Why? Of course it's for Vanessa. Vanessa said that the death of the bastard stroke you so hard. She told me to let you take your time."

"That's right, sis. I did it for your good. You won't blame me, right?" Melina tilted her head pitifully and said, her voice was pretentious, but Dorian still liked her.

"Humph."

Looking at the two of them cuddling each other, Melina felt preposterous.

Especially when she saw the belt on Dorian's waist. If she remembered correctly, she paid for Vanessa to buy it because Vanessa said that she received a LV bag from her boyfriend and also wanted to give her boyfriend a gift.

After Vanessa graduated, she did not go to work. After three years of studying, she finally got into a bogus college.

Vanessa's living costs was paid by Melina. And Melina never complained about it. After all, she was her younger sister.

But...

That was how they paid her!

Melina did not know how she got out of Dorian's company. At that time, it was May. Haverford City was in the southern part of the country. The sun was warm and hot in the noon, and she felt a burning pain on her face.

From the strange eyes of the passers-by, Melina knew that her current appearance must be very ugly.

However, she was no longer in the mood to think about this. Her mind was in a mess.

Her boyfriend, who she had liked for more than ten years, had long stopped loving her. Her sister, who had been spoiled by her for more than twenty years, was now pregnant with her boyfriend's child.

Melina kept thinking about things happened in the past. Although her sister was born to her stepmother, Melina had genuinely loved her. Melina had used her first salary to buy her sister the most popular mobile phone at that time. Back then, Melina still had been using the old mobile phone of her father and was ridiculed by her colleagues in the company.

But now...

The world was so big, but Melina found that she had no place to go.

Should she go home and question her parents?

Looking at Vanessa's posture, Melina was probably the only fool in the entire family.

At the thought of this, Melina, who had lost her strength, sat limply on the side of the road, her tears silently trickling down the ground, blurring her vision.

Just then, a tissue fell from the sky and covered her face.

Then, her vision darkened.

Raising her head, a group of men in black surrounded her.

"Miss Winslow, can we talk now?"
