Chapter 12 Mr. Blackwood Was Angry

Melina stumbled out of the house and looked back at this familiar house.

The house was still same as usual , but it was not her home anymore.

She remembered that when she was a child, her family was not rich. Her father was a seafood dealer. Every day, he would make all kinds of delicious food for them.

Her stepmother would also use her skillful hands to make beautiful head flowers and skirts for her and her sister with all kinds of rags.

It was just that she was relatively thin at that time, and all the clothes she wore were left by her younger sister.

But she had never complained and only felt that the family was very happy when they were together.

Afterward, when her father fished up the treasure and made a fortune, Haverford City also changed from a small village to a big city, but she did not want to go back to that home. Looking at her happy sister and mother, she sometimes felt that she seemed to be unnecessary.

But where could she go?

Passing by the river, she saw the noisy crowd on the bar street and gritted her teeth, and walked in.

She had been obedient for 25 years. She had been so tired...

This was the first time she had come to the bar. She leaned against the bar and ordered a cup of Long Island Iced Tea, the bartender's recommendation..

The smell of cola masked the smell of alcohol, and she drank quickly. After she finished, her phone rang.

[Baby's Father - Masked Monster Mr. Blackwood]

"Melina, where are you?" The noisy background sound made Luther frown, and his tone was cold.

Melina tilted her head and burped. She said slowly, "I'm having a drinke... Can't you tell? Are you stupid?"

Luther's good-looking face instantly twisted.

He thought to himself, "Well, well, this woman is getting bolder and bolder. Forget about drinking. She even said I'm stupid."

"Where are you? I'll get someone to pick you up." Glancing at his son next to him, Luther forced himself to stay calm.

However, it was clear that Melina had already drunk too much and was unable to control herself. "Why do you care where I am?"

"Masked Monster, I won't talk to you anymore. I'm going to drink with a handsome guy!"

"Beep! Beep-"

The call ended.

Luther's face darkened. Bennett looked at his daddy in a daze. His daddy seemed to be angry. Blackwood family and the others all turned their faces away and lowered their heads in silence.

"Daddy... you will pick Mommy up, right?" Bennett shook his father's arm and raised his head.

"Hmm." A sneer came from under the mask. Luther thought to himself, "It is already good enough that I don't give her a good scolding, yet do I have to personally pick her up?"

"But Mommy is obviously drunk now, and your mask is so ugly. What if she is really seduced by a little handsome boy?" Bennett's small eyebrows furrowed with concern.

"She wouldn't dare!" Luther coldly spat out two words, but he had already stood up.

"Bill, check Madam's location and get the car ready."

Melina had previously heard that alcohol could numb the senses, but after drinking two cups, she realized that it was useless.

She still remembered the pain and the words that hurt her, and she even had hallucinations.

She thought she saw the Masked Monster.

She thought it was impossible, thinking to herself, "With Luther's identity, how could he appear in a street bar like this?"

"Melina." With just a glance, Luther saw the woman drinking at the door in the crowd.

Perhaps it was because of the alcohol, her entire face was flushed red. Her large watery eyes stared blankly at him. A strange feeling welled up in his heart, making Luther a little agitated.

"Ah, I'm here!" she responded with a carefree wave.

Luther was speechless.

"How much did you drink?" Luther said as he pulled her out.

Seeing that she did not move, he simply scooped her up.

Unexpectedly, despite her height, Melina was incredibly light, so light that it made him feel unreal.

"Not much! Just two cups of Long Islands. Burp! It's my first time drinking, and it's pretty good!" she said, her voice slurred.

Luther thought to himself, "Two cups of Long Islands! Everyone knows that it tastes like coke, but it contains too much alcohol!"

"I'll treat you to a drink in the future!" The feeling of being wrapped up by a man was very warm. The alcohol had dulled her usual fears. She even took the initiative to nestle into Luther's arms.

Feeling the closeness of the woman in his arms, Luther felt a little unnatural.

But when he heard her words, he was really angry.

"I don't drink, and you are not allowed to drink in the future!"

"Why!"

"Why? Because your son is allergic to alcohol. If you want him to end up in the hospital, you can continue drinking!" Luther snapped at her and threw a towel at her.

Thinking about how his subordinate reported that she might be sad because of her breakup, Luther became even angrier.

"Other than crying and getting drunk, what else can you do? Melina, do you even understand what it means to be a responsible mother?"
