Chapter 15 Who Else Could I Love Except Mommy

Even though Melina had repeatedly said that she was fine now.

However, Bennett was still worried and asked the doctor about the aftercare. His fluent speed of speech and agile logical ability made Melina stunned.

Seeing that she had fallen asleep, Bennett left the room and knocked on the door of the study.

"Dad, I'm very angry." Unlike his usual adorable demeanor in front of his mother, at this moment, Bennett exuded the same cold aura as his father's.

Luther closed the laptop and stared at him silently.

This was the first time his son had lost his temper since he became sensible. It was said that Vanessa who had been detained had already fainted from fear.

"It seems that you really care about her." He thought of how his son had been pretending to be in seclusion to get close to Melina these past few days and had even come to find him for her. He couldn't help but feel a little jealous.

Bennett tilted his head and asked seriously, "She is my mother. She dotes on me and loves me. Shouldn't I like her?"

"But she is very stupid. If she weren't so naive, her sister wouldn't have bullied her. What happened today might not have happened." Luther said calmy.

"Stupid? I think that Mommy is very kind. She is not like some other women. They are very smart. They always say that they are good to me, but they never take my feelings into consideration. Every time they come, they wear strong perfume that almost suffocates people. It's like they're desperate for attention. Plus, Mommy is also your wife. You can protect her, but you are unwilling to." Bennett replied.

"Bennett!"

"What? Am I wrong? This time, I must avenge Mommy!" It was unknown what he thought of, but the little guy became increasingly angrier. His whole face was red, and his forehead began to sweat.

Seeing that Luther did not speak, he angrily jumped down from his chair. In the end, he fell heavily his legs gave out.

"Are you going to avenge her just like that?" Luther helped his son up and mocked him coldly.

"That's better than you! You just leave her alone! She's my mother!" Bennett roared angrily. God knew how long he had yearned for his mother. He was well aware that his time was limited. Now that he had finally found her, he would do whatever it took to keep her close. In his mind, his mother was such a good person, but his father didn't cherish her at all. His father could protect her, but he never cared.

The father and son faced each other. For the first time, Luther saw too many different emotions in his son's eyes.

It was a longing-intense and sincere.

After a long confrontation, he slowly let go of his son's hand.

"I will handle this matter. You may leave."

He waved his hand, his cold voice filled with indescribable loneliness.

Dorian... Winslow family...

Melina did not know that her son had quarreled with the formidable father because of her.

When she saw him lying quietly beside her, that small face was about to make her heart melt.

For him, she would do everything.

Checking the time, she woke the baby up and planned to have a meal together.

Just then, her cell phone rang.

Only then did Melina realize that she had dozens of missed calls and messages.

With a simple glance, she lowered her eyes and turned off her phone.

At the Winslow residence.

Mr. Winslow, who could not get through to Melina's phone, was anxious like an ant on a hot pan.

He and Vanessa had agreed to visit Blackwood family together at night, but it was already eight o'clock, and Vanessa still had not returned.

The friend who went out with Vanessa only said that she was taken away by a child brought by Melina. The car had Blackwood family's emblem on it, but Mr. Winslow also asked and knew that Dorian hadn't send a car to pick them up, not to mention that he was just a branch of Blackwood family. He was not qualified to use the main family's car badge.

After thinking for a long time, Dorian remembered that he had an uncle in his family whose wife had just passed away. That uncle had a lustful nature and had many illegitimate children.

"I told you to marry her off earlier, but you still didn't agree. Now look, she directly messed around with an old man!" Florence heaved a sigh of relief when she received her son-in-law's guarantee. She sat on the sofa and complained to Mr. Winslow.

Mr. Winslow cursed at Melina. His gaze was gloomy as he looked at the photo on the wall as if he wanted to eat someone.

He thought to himself, "Indeed, Melina is getting older and older. If she doesn't get married soon, it will be a waste."

He paced back and forth at home and thought carefully. Suddenly, his eyes lit up, thinking to himself, "Since Melina has already gotten involved with that old man of Blackwood family, why not take this opportunity to get some betrothal gifts?"

"After all, Melina is only 25 this year, and it is more than enough to marry an old man."

At the thought of this, a hint of excitement flashed in Mr. Winslow's eyes.

"Dorian, are you going to visit your uncle... Wait! I'll go with you!"

Mr. Winslow, who valued wealth as his life, had already forgotten about his missing daughter. His mind was filled with thoughts of how to use his eldest daughter to exchange for more benefits. He did not feel that he was in the wrong.

The younger daughter was his biological daughter, but the elder daughter was born before his cheap ex-wife married him.

In Mr. Winslow's mind, since he gave the elder daughter food and raised her up, she should repay him!
